bruh its literally blowing on food how is there an argument and giant walls of text about it finnn go outside you need some fresh air

A relatively small suggestion, bottles would be a pottery item that acts like a jar, but can be sealed with a peg like barrels can. Maybe make it hold 3kgs to make it a bit more distinct. I'll be honest, the main reason I want this is so I can play brewery master and hand out bottles of hard cider on special occasions.

Not a full dedicated section, as it'll simply be another server in the list, with separate market/auctions as well

When picking turmeric I got this message: [18:18:58] You aren't sure how that was growing in there. which appears to be an indication that an unplantable herb had been planted via an exploit fixed by the most recent hotfix. I was able to pick a turmeric but the planter transitioned to unplanted. I was able to pick the turmeric seed and replant in the same planter. Rosemary, woad, and lovage seem not to be affected.

It's more about the aesthetic than the game mechanics. Similar to how we have beer steins and skull goblets because they're cool

Could be wrong but have a feeling you are referring to me. Whilst it's all rather irrelevant as it's all been changed now just some info from my point of view: You absolutely cannot say because you got X amount of silver from one trader all of the others would get the same, I'm not sure on the exact mechanics but having more people in the local area of a trader absolutely increased the payout, my assumption is when distribution was triggered ie "an envoy to the king" event message the payout would be greater if someone was nearby at the time. I had about 30 traders - my most profitable ones were close to Kyara and literally printed silver all day long, some of them spat out 50s/month on a regular basis - ones close to highways were decent if you were lucky you got 5 silver. Ones in the woods were absolutely worthless, they were fine before trader mechanics were tweaked but afterwards you could get 20 copper after a whole month sometimes and I guarantee you no one else touched them for that time. I no doubt lost money on the traders I put down in remote locations 90% of these traders were paid for out of pocket. You can't simply take over abandoned traders and manage more than 10 of them without it becoming a full time job, the way to do it was to line them all up so they were exactly 50 tiles apart in strategic locations so you could hit them all in an afternoon, you can't spend half a day running around the map - that's madness especially considering the required repairs to off deed structures. Also if a village disbanded and a trader was a citizen of the village (which they were automatically) they would disappear when the deed disbanded, the only traders which stuck around were ones that had been kicked out of the village and if the village was left to rot chances are they didn't have that foresight. Over 2 years my average was approximately 5 silver per trader but that was boosted massively due to the ones near Kyara.

Thanks for the report. I found that Paprika is also affected. Bug report opened.

I always figured it should either cost something and have a very long cooldown, like maybe a year or more. Or, free first time and not possible to change it after. The issue with this logic is you're then going to withhold good features from people because the minority of people do something bad, and that is terrible. Again, this is easy to get around and honestly, this argument would hold more water if it was easy to escape your negative reputation even now. Hell, Johnson is it? Posted a chatlog from someone who figured out who he was and told him to F off from a trade.

What are you even saying at this point? There is no chore to being able to blow on your food if you need to cool it. The basis of your argument is it'd NEED to be done, however it's directly suggested to stop us having to wait an age for food to cool down, something that's actually kinda annoying

Things don't get fixed in order of finding, and it was probably an easy fix.

I can't remember the last time I was sailing and wanted a compass that worked while sailing but stopped myself right there because I felt it would ruin the skill and totally make high ql compasses useless because of how they would still work exactly the same everywhere not on a boat
  12. 1 point
Because that's how it works. Ships don't have 2-mile long chains to anchor themselves in the middle of the ocean and I've never heard of a captain jumping over board to let his compass settle.

Retro mention in his stream he wanted his name added to the pool for horse names. I am suggesting we add Bluto into it for him.

unless you've changed it with an undocumented patch or something like you seem to like doing, having multiple of these missions up at the same time doesn't increase the chance of finding the items, just splits them randomly between the missions named things, and with the last patch they now only contribute to their own mission, so when you get some garbage like if you want a new mission from those 3, you're gonna have to find 48 in total just to get the 16 one out of the way. i dont know what the odds of a dig/arch mission are but having 2+ up is a super common occurrence so i'd say either they're more common than other missions or nobody wants to do them because they're too much effort and they block up mission slots. suggestions for change - Only allow 1 sacrifice hidden x mission up at a time - revert the change where they have to be the same name - make them have seperate drop rates.if one missions up you'll have 1/50 chance form arch and 1/250 chance from digging. if it's 2 missions up you have 1/100 arch and 1/500 for a specific missions item, make it so each mission has its own drop rate that's not impacted by the other missions - make them spawn all over the world like they used to alongside being from arch/digging, seriously they were way better when they were like that - tone down the scaling on them, currently its diff squared, which means it starts at 1 which finishes near instantly and maxes out at 49 which is quite a lot of digging/arch to do for a single mission, the difficulty ramps up hard but the rewards are lower because you're sharing them with more people, penalizing a server for having higher diff missions. Diff x 4 would cap it at 28 for a 7 diff mission which i feel is much more reasonable.

I am not really sure this is a bug. The highlighted tile side is 23. The bridge was built at max angle (20). I can drag it under the bridge, but when I sail under it, as soon as my toon reaches the bridge it stops, almost like my toon is blocking the ship from going under it. Anyone else had this issue or have an idea what is wrong? Link to screenshot. Server: Pristine. Location: East side of Erebor at water (M14). Ships affected: sailboat and knarr so far tested.

I could see it being balanced just fine if there was a hefty speed debuff from having to row the heavy crate. Enough to make it a mild annoyance for short trips or dredging like you said, but also enough to make people decide to just build a bigger boat for actual cargo delivery

I'm fairly sure the latest plans were to launch with one pvp and one pve. Unless they decided to change their stance? Do you have a source?

Would be cool to have something like this, nautical compass made from regular compass, some brass bits, and mounted to shipp with some planks and nails..

Really miss stumbling upon those shiny things in strange places. And I agree with the need to look at, and hopefully reduce, duplicate missions.

I was 99% Finn was a troll now I think I'm 100% probably having a good laugh while writing a novel against blowing on food in a video game. +1 cool idea.

Not everyone who wants to change their name are doing it because they have a bad reputation. It was never an issue in the past given how many people traded accounts so why would it be now? The "but but reputation!" argument is such a weak one that it disregards the benefits changing your name could have for player retention and happiness.
  24. 1 point
The reputation argument might fly if there was never accounts trade. It's up to you to remain paranoid about who is who now, since so many accounts changed so many hands now you never know since no one keeping a track. However, those that remain plaiying this game and didn't had a chance to get their account back would be nice to have a name of their chice, or not.

We'll be looking into this as we're not against it. It wouldn't be free and would have a cooldown for sure
  26. 1 point
You just described 90% of the recent game changes. But this would defeat the purpose of someone wanting a "new" identity.
  27. 1 point
Ah yes, because the original suggestion totally wanted it to be a required action when prepping food before you eat it. Honestly, do you even read posts or do you skim until you find something that alarms you in the slightest and you then freak out about it? +1 to this, hasn't happened to me often but the times it has... Definitely annoying haha

Knarr sails (not tested others) are visually curled up for passengers - and also for outsider viewers - after server crossing. Commander view is fine. EDIT: regardless if you see yourself booted from the ship or not as a passenger

this is an idea i can get behind on. it give tailor more things to do as well and because people like custom characters this also would boost players since we can see them in 3rd view now too.

maybe Mathod instead (Though this be Madnath, there is Mathod in't)

What i mean, is that if you have that much drive at grinding items to sell, and get that much silvers, you will probably have enough money to spend on in-game 5 silver premium, and that way you can really grind out rares and get bloods/drops by participating at uniques and actually have a nice income, while if you can't even get those 5 silvers, it probably wouldn't make much sense to invest everything in a 95ql casted tool, and wouldn't really be the best investment. I wrote all of that in kind-of an extreme and procative way, but i would be positive with whatever raises the roof in any way and makes it less limitating than what it currently is, ofc this has to be tought-out better than the 2 minutes i took to write that list alone edit: i also kinda agree that selling 5speed horses is probably the least reliable source of income, it's as likely to make you earn something as begging for silvers is at this stage of the game : \

I can breed what you need (as Zoltan @ Independance). My deed Fort Buda has the largest number of champion dogs on the whole Independance server.

This would be a nice alternative to the complete abandonment and maybe even preferable to getting all the updates without a choice in the matter. I must admit that with each passing day, I become more and more grateful that we are not getting all the updates now. I guess that old adage is true, that if someone sticks a 12 inch knife in your back, you should be grateful they only shoved it in 6 inches.

Or just add a compass with a slightly different crafting recipe and call it a nautical compass or something and it gets mounted to the ship.

Breeding animals with high animal husbandry skill is very broken. I first played this game in October 2011 and the main reason for breeding has always been 5 speed horses. The benefits of additional traits has really only come to light since WU but still it's the 5 speeds that people want. So how can it be so broken for someone with high animal husbandry? Speed traits are lost, negative traits are gained and colours seem to be somewhat random! Here's four foals from my latest round of breeding. The parents traits are in spoilers. This foal has 8 traits as expected, but 2 speed traits have been lost and "it has some illness" has been introduced. It's also come out gold from ebony black parents! Pretty sure mama horse has been a good girl ..... [15:51:27] It will fight fiercely. It has fleeter movement than normal. It is a tough bugger. It has lightning movement. It can carry more than average. It has some illness. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It has been bred in captivity. [15:51:27] Its colour is gold. This foal has 8 traits, but lost a speed trait. [19:58:40] It will fight fiercely. It has fleeter movement than normal. It has a strong body. It has lightning movement. It has very strong leg muscles. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It has been bred in captivity. ] Due to the loss of speed trait this foal has become very unmotivated .... [20:00:42] It will fight fiercely. It has fleeter movement than normal. It has a strong body. It has lightning movement. It has very strong leg muscles. It has keen senses. It looks very unmotivated. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It has been bred in captivity. This foal has 8 traits, but lost a speed trait. [19:56:32] It will fight fiercely. It has fleeter movement than normal. It has a strong body. It has lightning movement. It can carry more than average. It has keen senses. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It has been bred in captivity. [19:57:12] Its colour is gold. 5 more foals were born from ebony black parents, came out 5 speed, but 2 are grey and 1 is a blood bay. I keep animal ratio on deed between 16 and 19. Now to the uninitiated this may not look too bad, but when someone with much lower animal husbandry skill (meaning they are capped to 5 traits) can churn out pure 5 speeds far more succesfully than some with 90 skill can then it is BROKEN. As an aside I've been breeding a few unicorns for a couple of years, as they're always born with 8 traits I've not yet got a 5 speed from probably 40 foals. Also, what's the point of a 5 speed sheep.
