    in the wake of the changes to the repair system it has come to our attention that multiple people may be in need of a support group to handle the changes we are seeing it become more common in the populace to exhibit unhelpful thinking patterns, such as "it is only when we see our motivations laid before us that we can begin to challenge or change them" - me as such we are assembling a multi-disciplinary support group to help the citizens of wurm it is located at what was the Great Release Bake Off (and still is called this) located near O13 on Release despite this name it is not a Bake Off, however refreshments will be provided activities included: art therapy - join in creating painting and murals to the repair system as it was, allowing ourselves to leave behind the idea that keeping an item at QL98 literally forever was sensible percussion therapy - let the sounds of the bells put you in the now, rather than the what was guided meditation - remember to get your 5 ticks in today. that's literally all of the guidance mindfulness lunchbox construction - subject to the mission still being there, seriously who gets the lunchbox missions done? we will, and we'll all get SB and maybe learn something primal draconic screaming - led by our very own venerable white dragon, an opportunity to Release the pent-up anger caused by this update we hope to see you there

    Maybe it would be a nice idea to assign 1 gm to each server to explore (flying/teleporting/etc) around and take screenshots in the highest detail possible of beautifull terrain and architecture? I've seen allot of great vistas and deeds (and interiors) in Katspurr and Emoo's streams, so there are some very nice shots to add to the steam page that show off the game a bit more. (even in Emoo's latest stream of Lordlouis his former deed, there were awesome interior setups that could use some highest-graphic-settings-love and have screenshots taken from them). Maybe find some impressive underground cities, to promote the fact that you can go almost full dwarf-mode. Can't hurt to put up some more screenshots, that show some more aspects of Wurm: Rifts Cattle breeding Horse stables Farms with beehives and orchards Underground cities Great harbours with ships all around Just to give new players a real good picture of the serious amount of freedom you have in this game.     Simple solution is for it to be possible to view past names. Easiest example is runescape, when someone changes their name you can still mouse over it and it'll display the past username too. People probably won't bother to name change just to escape a bad rep, as it would likely cost some silvers to do so. They would simply make new accounts if they're only into Wurm for griefing. Punishing the many for the potential and unlikely actions of the few. +1

    Ah yes, because the original suggestion totally wanted it to be a required action when prepping food before you eat it. Honestly, do you even read posts or do you skim until you find something that alarms you in the slightest and you then freak out about it? +1 to this, hasn't happened to me often but the times it has... Definitely annoying haha

    What are you even saying at this point? There is no chore to being able to blow on your food if you need to cool it. The basis of your argument is it'd NEED to be done, however it's directly suggested to stop us having to wait an age for food to cool down, something that's actually kinda annoying

    Now that RMT is gone from the game and the recent update to traders being allowed on Xanadu and changing the way traders operate; the light bulb in my head started flickering till it actually turned on. With that’s said the idea of creating a centralized market per server pop up in my head. With this new market system new players as well as existing players will benefit from this system. This new centralized market system can and will benefit game to attract potential new players to the game by promoting a player controlled market system making it easier for them to sell their goods and that in turn will help retain players. General Idea of how it would work Traders The market system will be composed of traders in starter towns or traders in player own deeds. All traders are linked together to the same market to allow players from across the server to buy from another at a distant place within the same server. In order to upload your merchandise to sell there are 2 options. You deliver your goods personally at the trading hub (trader). You contract the use of a wagoner to pick up your goods and deliver them to the nearest trading hub (trader). When somebody visits the trader to do a purchase the person buying will have money deducted from his account and transferred to the sellers account. Once the transaction is complete, the person buying will be prompted if they need wagoner services to deliver the newly acquired merchandise or if the player will transport their newly acquired merchandise on their own. All transactions now have a tax based on the sale price, the person selling the goods pay a tax. This tax will go to the king’s coffers who in turn distributes a % to player own deeds with traders on them to help reduce upkeep cost as a reward for allowing the market system on their deeds. Wagoner Wagoner services now yield a % to deed upkeep to deeds that have them, if used by other players in game to deliver merchandise to a trader hub or if used by a player who just purchased bulk materials to be delivered to his deed or village. Merchants Merchants manage player made contracts, this will allow the creation of contracts in game for special services. These services could be Spell casting, improving services, Enchanted grass, in game Jobs like terraforming or mining etc. As like the traders the merchants are also linked together to show contracts from all over the server for players to fulfill. Just like the selling of goods, contracts are also taxed and go to the king’s coffers and a % is distributed to deeds with merchants on them. Pricing Pricing is set by players selling their goods or in contracts by the person creating the contract. Since all goods (merchandise) all go to the centralized market the prices are showed to the people buying and selling that way there is a bit of competition in the market based on player needs. For example: Player A sells 1,000 bricks at 13 iron per brick, Player B wants to sells the same item and quantity but wants to make a fast turnaround, Player B can sell at a lower price to sell his items faster. Items to be sold All items are viewable server wide via traders. Items that do not required manage permissions can be sold at traders either in bulk or price per each. Items that required manage permissions like a boat or a wagon, those items must be sold via contract at a merchant. Cross Server Selling All sales and contracts conducted on a server the tax goes to the server where it was conducted to benefit the Kingdom of that server. Player A comes from Pristine to sell his merchandise in Xanadu, the tax collected from the sale or sales goes to Kings coffers in Xanadu to be distributed between the Traders on deeds. Player A comes from Deliverance to fulfill a contract or create one, the tax collected from such contract stays in the server where it was created. This is just a quick summary of the Idea, if it causes interest I'll be more than happy to describe it full detail.

    Wurm Pirate Hats. Ahoy wurmian mates! it has been frightfully apparent, to me, and most of my fellow wurmians, for a long time that the wardrobes and closets have been very empty, the clothing options are very limited, to say the least. i believe its time for a change of clothing! i offer a few ideas to kick it off, ive been brewing these for a while and since this seems to be the season of change so i offer these for your consideration. Pirate Hats there are a few possibilities for this one. One option would be to give the adventurers hat the option to use a string and fold the rim a tailor could do it up to three times and every fold is a different look. the second option would be to add new models and recipes to tailoring skill for a Cavalier Hat and a Tricorn (Pirate) Hat. Jesters cap this one will require a model i'm sure but would love to see it just to add some fun i know one of my alts would ware one of these forever Capes someone else has brought this up here is the link to their post i mean we have the item slot for it and its just filling with dust soooo.....? Priest Robes this image i found was perfect for what i was thinking because the robe would replace the chest item be it a shirt or jacket it would be dyable and seen in this image is a long tabard that is worn over and would use the tabard slot, it is cinched with a rope belt the two items that would need a model is the robe and the tabard because the hood already in game would work for the hood for the outfit already. if anyone has any more idea i encourage you to post here. thank you

    Because Mom always said if it's too hot, blow on it. Ever forget your meal in the forge or oven for an hour and now it's taking 4 hours to cooldown? Blow on it! Can we have this? Footnote: Some have issues understanding a requirement from an implied option, so here goes... "This suggestion in no way forces the individual to 'blow' on their food as a new requirement for consumption, rather, this is strictly just a new option that would add to the role play feel of wurm and give impatient players a new mechanic when they've accidently let their food warm to the point that which said food would be too hot to otherwise to safely consume edaciously."

    Fast Progress possibly more Newbie oriented rather then Veterans(might be to easy for them?). But of course everyone is welcome. We are an small IT Company with some employees been into PC Games (surprise 🙂 ) and rented a nice beefy Server for our new Wurm Unlimited Adventure. Working on some Mods at the side and playing on our new Server when getting tired of Coding. So far we are a small Group of germans speaking english fluently. We would love to meet people from all over the world. We are no Experts regarding Wurm Online but learn as we go and try to help where we can. These are the settings so far (Tried to cover all suggestions that Batta made in another Thread): DNS / IP: 116.203.81.47 versengold.org PvP Max. Creatures 75.0000 (70% Aggressive) 10.000 Creatures with 5.000 Non Aggressive and a Ratio of 7/3. So atm the actual population has a Ratio of 5/5 but the server is configured for 7/3. So any non aggressive creature that is removed by death is replaced by an aggressive one until the correct ratio is reached.     I always figured it should either cost something and have a very long cooldown, like maybe a year or more. Or, free first time and not possible to change it after. The issue with this logic is you're then going to withhold good features from people because the minority of people do something bad, and that is terrible. Again, this is easy to get around and honestly, this argument would hold more water if it was easy to escape your negative reputation even now. Hell, Johnson is it? Posted a chatlog from someone who figured out who he was and told him to F off from a trade.

    Yeah its miserable to do much of anything there, its gotten to the point that some people are having to go elsewhere to skill. It has been going on for a significant length and should be treated seriously.

    As a new player I also enjoyed the challenge of learning to navigate the map and the terrain, learn the highways, the starter towns, landmarks, player deeds, etc. It takes some work and some careful travel at first as you figure out how roads and highways connect, but that is integral to the game in my experience. When you initially spawn you choose your starter town to spawn in. When you die you choose a place to re-spawn, so in both cases right away that tells you where you are on the map. From there (or anywhere else where there is a waystone), you can plot a course via the highway system if you need to get to a specific deed or settlement. We are not supposed to be able to just run off in a given direction and know where we are all the time without paying attention to our surroundings. If you dropped your tent in an unknown wilderness location, that gets more tricky if you don't know where you were when you did that, but that is a lesson learned if you did that without thinking. Add to that the server and global chat features where you can ask for help, and there is already plenty in the game to help you figure out where you are and navigate from there. Let's not forget you spawn with a compass as well, so you can keep straight in your head which direction you are headed in as you take all the above tools and learn to use them to figure out where you are on the map. The only compromise I've seen offered so far that feels like a possible option that would not break the feel of the game would be to allow players (maybe only new players with the new player buff?) to approach a guard and ask them where you are. The kingdom guards should know where they have been stationed by the king anyway, so it is a realistic fit. As for guard towers not being available on any new servers and therefore no ability to get directions- that is the nature of a new server. No one knows it yet. Build the place up, put highways in place, build guard towers and station guards. As the new server is explored and colonized, then you can start getting help from guards as to where you are.

    Bump Also an option for discarding wood scraps. We can discard whole felled trees, why not a wood scraps? Aaaaaand for an any archeology fragments, indentified or not. People often investigate and then leave piles of indentified/unindentified items everywhere.

    I think it would be really great if we could have tack equipment placement, like something we could attach to a wall, so has to put are saddles on,also wooden hooks on a wall for to hang are bridle,I am pretty sure this wouldn’t be very hard to do, I love WO, I love role playing as well,and it bugs me to no end to leave my horse tacked up all the time,so tack room equipment please?

    Something that might concern you, Retrograde - I believe by default steam excludes "mature" content when searching. This means that Wurm online isn't visible when searched the steam store using the default steam search preferences. (You can literally search "Wurm Online" and it returns 0 results). If it's possible to remove the mature content tag from Wurm Online, that would really help its visibility. The fact that Wurm Unlimited isn't considered "mature content" surely means that Wurm Online isn't either?

    I totally agree, those days you did not have 15 extra picks laying around, you loved your pick because it was HARD to make one. Although its fun to hoard and gather stuff it means less when it is easy . I just filled my inventory with gear and logged off to play another game for a while until I see what direction Wurm takes. No more premium payments, no more silver buying no more cash flow until things get fixed. I have put many thousands of dollars into Wurms pockets and I am waiting to see improvement or I will be following many others out the door.

    I think that the focus shouldnt be on making the beginning easier, but rather making the mid/end game more fun Its the after the you made your deed or house or homestead part is when most people quit the game.

    I managed to get Ayuna her account back in time in exchange for a crate of mine supports. The last owner was gracious enough to help us out return it to her original owner. Some people here in Wurm still amaze me.

    Even more Wurm Lore friendly would be the Tower Guards just giving you an ingame coordinate relative to the ingame map, no dots or markers. "The Guards kindly point to a location on your map. You appear to be somewhere around L-5." Anything more accurate then that I feel places Wurm further into the Easy-Mode category 😕

    Thats a very low thing to say. For all the difference of opinions I don't wish Silas ill. Glasshollow was my first go-to place for supplies when I was new and I would miss it very much if it was gone. Posting on someone's Classified's thread to talk smack is a completely new low bud.

    oh my i totally agree with the hair i mean i chose for my toon to have long hair and when i put on a hat he is as bald Mr Clean it dose bother me and i totally agree with the veils and more gender specific (not saying the male toon couldn't ware one if the wanted.) for the female toon as well like nice dresses.

    Waiting 50 minutes for a forge to heat up then failing 80% of your smithing actions and turning the metal you collected in 38 second mining actions into useless scraps was good for the game and built character.

    I would like it if tools, armor, and weapons did not take decay damage while on a deed. Decay for these items on deed has no purpose since the items will be repaired rather than disappearing. It is nothing but a nuisance.
