We have wild cats. They're awesome. Their tiny balls of fluff and rage. But they have to stay caged because they're wild. Then there are the dogs. They're nice, but if you tame them, they sit perfectly still and do nothing fun. I want domesticated cats. I want to get annoyed by them knocking objects off of tables but instantly forgive them because they're adorable. Dogs roaming around and curling up in front of random fireplaces would be cool too. So, here's the idea: Domesticated Dog - Created by branding and taming (25 skill required) a dog. The dog is connected to the deed and will wander no farther than the perimeter. It can freely go through doors and gates on deed unless locked to prevent passage. Every 18 hours the owner can send dog hunting with a small chance to return with a large rat, pig, or wild boar. Domesticated Cat - Created by branding and taming (50 skill required) a wild cat. The cat is then connected to the deed and will wander no more than 5 tiles from the deed, but has free reign to go through doors and slip through gates. Every 18 hours the owner can send the cat hunting with a chance to return with a hen, rooster, or pheasant. Special feeding dishes are made with pottery that reduce decay of pet food placed inside (chopped meat or pet food). Pet food (mostly meat) recipe is added to the cookbook. Pet Bed - Tailoring 30 - creates a bed that pets will return to regularly.

Currently, many dairy food recipes, particularly ice cream recipes, do not use Dairy Food Making skill, instead using base Cooking skill. I believe they should be using Dairy Food Making for two reasons: Dairy Food Making could use being a bit more, well, useful. It's dairy food, and using the (low-skillgain) parent skill like Cooking should only really be done when none of the specific subskills seem appropriate.

I would have preferred for keys provided free, but that would have made it too easy for someone to simply take them all. Do you really think we built all that so that we could profit selling keys?

Spring has sprung at Southport U18 Deliverance. I think the floral displays at the market are blooming lovely:

I like pretty much everything on this list. One or two things that would not effect me either way, but I can still see the value in those things for others. The big things on the list I'd like to see though- -Allow us to paint/dye more things (everything on the list is a good start). Some of us love to build, and it would be a very nice addition to be able to decorate in our own unique way when it comes to colors we use. -Taxidermy, along with details on who and when the kill was made. Adding some details to a critter would also be nice- weight, age and such. -Diagonal fences would be a very nice touch. Again, I loved everything on the OP list and would enjoy seeing it all implemented in time, but those are the top three for me.

We've had so many from certain names.. not to mention and point in directions... keep suggesting stuff.. if you do get positive feedback - you've come up with an actually wanted improvement topic... if not.. well, there's another time and another idea to suggest tomorrow or in 5 minutes... whenever you feel like opening a new thread ... as long mods do not come and show you some colors.. you're good to go. If the crowd have no interest in something.. they have either missed it.. or there's no interest.. and the thread will fade.. time for the next idea.. keep them coming.

Also greetings to the late Swiftgage. I always felt bad about losing one of my four-legged companions, especially those who accompagnied me in battles. I created a little memorial for them at the shore of our lake. Here a recent look from below: May they rest in peace

+1 Also, Dogs should bark when an aggressive creature shows up on deed, cats hiss. Makes them handy to have around. They would also like to hang around where people are, and possibly greet someone who enters the deed. JS

I like the idea of domesticated cats and dogs but from a role playing perspective I would hate to brand them. How about... say, equipping them with a collar instead?

Ok, I may elaborate why I am against the proposal (though nobody is compelled to do so). Other than your suggestion pretends it does not create "virgin land". Rather it speeds up structure and item decay off deed in a 45 day period. And your "Pay for it or lose it" sounds quite alike and in no way better than the motto of the ruthless "deed it or lose it". As to virgin land, there will not be regrowth of dirt or unflatting of surface mined areas no sinking of dirtdrop islands into the seas. Such is close to impossible as it would require a state of equilibrium to return to which does not exist, as the shape of the lands is determined by the players, and that is the nature of Wurm. Your idea also lacks any thinking through the mechanics, e.g. how paved areas, non highway parish roads etc. should be treated. As to buildings, they undergo accelerated decay (30dmg/day on average) once the owner has not logged on to the server for 3 subsequent months. The slower decay of ships and vehicles does exist, yet they rot away, and I saw a number of them vanish over the time, and mind that I am not yet playing very long. That they do not rot faster is a boon rather than a problem, also for owners of ships and vehicles which frequently are parked or moored off deed. There are enough daily chores already, excessive repairwork would be a pain. There may be flaws in the recent situation, but it also protects new players who frequently tentatively build small squatter homes off deed, also hunting cottages, roadside inns and safe huts and other stuff generated outside of deeds for personal or public use. There is enough to pay for in the game already. So, in summary, -1

I have read the SDA before and the only thing that shows up in there is 2.6 which also shows points out that if the program itself supports the sale of digital items or currency then those items can not be sold for real life money which to my understanding means if you decide to sell silver as a steam store purchase or marketplace purchase then we can not sell silver for real life money if you decide to sell gnomes on the steam marketplace or store we can not sell gnomes it does not state anywhere in the SDA any kind of resemblance to the scenario i mentioned where bob trades an item ingame and joe gives him 5 bucks in return So as following The SSA rules out account sales and any marketplace items being sold for real money by players The SDA rules out any items that are being sold on the steam store or marketplace and that you the company shall not allow or facilitate the redemption or exchange of those items or currency for real life money Going off that unless steam directly comes out and states that the current wurm shop is not allowed to sell silver to the steam version then other games are supposed to be in hot trouble too but those games are still on steam and only use steam to download and spread awareness of their game and any and all purchases are done through their own store and thus are able to do rmt of items ingame but not accounts and have a restriction in place where trading for real money can only happen on their forums anywhere else and its a ban if found out As for your last part real mature i am a paying long time customer trying hard to figure out what steam's stance is on the matter of rmt and where steam stops and personal opinion of the wurm staff team starts as i have spend over 4000 dollars on this game since its beginning and i would like to have a firm clear simple grasp as to how something that is a major part of wurm's economy is going to work in the future and what is and isnt allowed so that i and others do not get in trouble at the whims of a jealous or angry gm in the future and loose access to a game i have played for almost more then half my life But hey keep making fun of people keeping stinging the hornets nest keep miss treating your wurm unlimited userbase keep taking jabs at your long time wurm online players and when the steam reviews start rolling in and lo and behold they are a waves of negative reviews causing people to steer clear of wurm online on steam because of it then the pointing will begin You might think that you can get away with saying "oh steam doesnt allow rmt and thats that" but we the players have the know how on figuring out how far steam really takes that and we will figure out what it means as no one wants to trade in an economy where you dont know the rules it is suicide to do so
