    Give me a good reason me running a few alts ruined not only the community aspect, but the economy. Here's a shocking idea that I have no doubt you refused to think about: maybe those mundane tasks he's using alts for are things that people don't offer? Oh no, he's feeding his horses and tending farms using an alt. Big deal. Get over yourself. The only thing ruining the community are the people trying to find the next boogeyman to blame issues on. Look at this thread as example enough. Veteran players? Evil. Players self sufficient after long grinds? Evil. Multiboxing? Evil. Here's a hot thought. Maybe you people trying to find the next thing to lash out on are causing more damage than the people you're accusing.

    It would be awesome if the firemaking skill gave you a better estimate of how long something is fueled for. Or better yet some sort of fuel box we can add to forges, stills, ovens, etc and can dump my wood scrap into. Just a QOL thing I've pretty much wanted my entire time playing Wurm, limited though it may be.

    The original intent was that the system would automatically dump you back to Freedom if you logged in to Jackal after your premium expired. Unfortunately, there were some issues there, so that doesn't happen currently. If you have this issue, please put a ticket in via the in-game support (on another character if necessary), and you will be assisted. No characters will be deleted by being on Jackal when it ends. Characters that have never been premium that haven't been logged into will be deleted in the usual way. Goodness, with such a sunny reception, I can't imagine why.

    Welcome To the 2nd Lunalong Greetings friends, I would like to cordially invite you all to the second Luna-a-long. Hosted by Dracaa (myself) on my deed named Kappa, on the Xanadu server, at coordinate Q-15. This is my second time hosting an impalong. I've been working on this since last year. With work in real life only slowing me down. I'm proud to say though, my impalong is almost ready. It will be this November 8th to the 17th. I hope to have the maze finished and ready to explore, there will be a few small events, and all the imping madness you've come to expect from events like this. So why name kappa? Why a Lunar Festival? But what is a Luna-a-long? Rules The Entrance The Deed Kappa is a lovely lakeside deed very well equipped to handle many participants there are merchants, hotel rooms, a cathedral for sermons, direct sea access via a canal. the impalong building is a three-story building with plenty of equipment and containers full of mats ready to help your imping. The Imping Facilities A quaint three-story building filled to bursting with forges, kilns, alters, coffins, shelves and other storage units for priest and participants alike.     As I'm sitting here drinking Linden Tea (which is made from the blossoms of the Linden tree) I'm wondering why we have Linden trees in Wurm but not harvestables from this amazing tree. The flower blossoms can be made into tea. The leaves are edible and crunchy and sweet. It's long overdue to make use of this awesome tree in game. We have the tree already. Please add the edibles.

    So, I've started playing again and still have one problem. What to do with all the booze I was making and have begun to make again. I decided to make a little tavern and place some kegs set up for anyone to access and fill them with different booze every day. I've placed beer steins around for you to use and there are beds if you need. There are also some enchanted pens, leading enabled, if you need to park a mount. My deed is located: And here is what the building looks like so you can spot it easily. Most of what I will leave out is fairly low quality 70ish. I do have some 90+ stuff I'm more than happy to break out for those that stop by when I am around. Figured this was as good a way as any to get rid of the silly amount of booze I've built up and a chance to meet some new people. So if you are in the area or passing by feel free to stop by and get sloshed. Look forward to drinking with anyone that stops by!

    In order to cross to Jackal one has to be premium, however if your premium expires whilst on Jackal one cannot cross back to Freedom. I presume this is a bug or situation that hasn't been thought of yet? This brings up what happens when Jackal expires, toons are deleted if they aren't premium? Or what?

    My plan this year: 1. First off. It's very simple. I'm not here to complain or cause drama. I'm here to imp and get skill. In the end, getting my skills up IS the reward. 2. That said, I showed up to the lunalong last year and I was working on BS items. I ended up getting my BS to 97 skill thanks to last year's lunalong and impalong. 3. This year, I'm shifting my focus to PAS as my skill is currently 94. I would like to get that skill up to where my BS is before I switch to Jewelry Smithing or Shield Smithing next. I'll be bringing my two priests, Mylulv (Vynora; 100 faith) and Worldtender (Fo; 86 faith). Mylulv will just stand around as an extra body for larger sermon ticks and Worldtender will be in attendance until he reaches 100 faith. 7. If I have time to use my priests to perform some casts, I shall do so but if I'm too busy smithing like I was last year, it's too much multitasking for my taste and I'll probably just help when we're running behind on casting. P.S. I do prefer using a dedicated forge for myself that people can just fill up. That's just how I do things and it's how I did things last year. I focus on everything in one forge and usually I'm busy enough with items going in and coming out that I don't even need to look at the other forges. On rare occasion, I may have to in order to keep working but last year that seldom happened. I worked out of the same forge almost the entire event.

    I cannot subscribe to the idea that only ONE can be logged in AT A TIME. For example, being able to heal myself with my priest, tend to my animals/farms while my main is doing something else, etc. adds productivity and fun at the same time. If you only want to run ONE toon at a time go ahead but this idea would kill WO for me at least.

    So you see no problem with alienating people and breaking promises after they already paid money for a product? How can people trust their "new" steam release when they are abandoning their "old" steam release that people already payed for? How can players of that new version trust CodeClub to not abandon them a few months down the line when they realize that steam isn't bringing them the money they wanted to see?

    It may feel "unwurmy" to the doctriners but a certain firemaking skill showing "fuel bars" over forges would be nice. The event tab is a monstrous thing that'd be good to move away from to make the UI better generally. The bar could show different granularities at different levels, like 25% intervals at level 15-20, which is very rough, getting smoother as your skill increases.

    Roofs all have the same hight, which is where the wall ends and the plan of the roof is prior to construction. That's where the actual roof resides. The rest is pretty much an optical illusion of sorts since Wurm is a 2D game and not true 3D like many think it to be. My suggestion could allow for the "ceiling" to be created where the plan is, with a roof above it as normal visible only from the outside. Since one can't really inhabit the space between the plan and the actual roof, that spot where the ceiling would be affects nothing. You can make the ceiling removable too, just like we remove the trimming on walls, or whatever works. I don't care as long as we get ceilings.

    Meh, if it's on the toolbelt anyway, it's basically just pressing a number before using your improve hotkey, that doesn't add much gameplay wise. Imo Wurm is less about active gameplay that needs to be poorly emulated with needless clickery and button pushing and more about strategizing what to do with your time to achieve your goals, because anything substantial takes its sweet time. I think letting us use that time more efficiently can only be a step up from there. Though it should probably be a seperate action like IMPROVE_AUTO as a command to retain control over which tool you want to use, in case you have multiple of one kind.

    Perhaps you cannot bear being left with bits and pieces but I think the community as a whole would benefit more if you sold all of your items individually. This way, multiple people could enjoy the items you have to offer. If you can't sell it, auction it, if you can't auction it, include it in the final package deal minus all the other things you sold. I don't know it's just an idea. Take or leave of course just a thought that crossed my mind.

    Another senseless act of violence by the BlackLighters. I was called to a small farmstead just outside of NewHope, Elevation on the Epic server. What I found shocked me. First thing I noticed was the animal pen and barn. A fence and wall had been bashed down. 4 bulls, 3 cows and a few sheep plus horses all lay motionless on the ground. The Blacklighters even killed the chickens. I could see a lovely cottage just past the large oak tree. It was missing the front door. Various items were scattered on the lawn next to some flowers. I knew what I was to find. I had seen it many times before but time particular home was to shock me. I asked the farmer what was inside but he told me that he feared the worst and had not entered. He said that as soon as he found the animal pen he ran to get us. Hoping that Maybe he was in time. He was not! I called to a few friends unsure if any Blacklighters were still inside. Maybe drunk on wine or sleeping from that they thought was just a days fun. Together we pulled our swords, spread out and proceeded to quietly take measured steps towards the cottage. As I got closer I could smell food. There was smoke coming from the chimney. Through the door I could see more items thrown across the floorboards. A rope tool, some wemp a troll club probably the only weapon this poor farmer had to protect himself and family. I was nearest the door and stopped to listen but it was quiet. Too quiet. I could hear bubbling coming from some cooking pot. The smell of overcooked soup was getting stronger. I nodded to my fellow soldiers, they nodded back and at once together we charged in with swords held high shouting. All for nothing. Quiet and stillness hit us like a weapon itself. Our shouts faded and then we too were quiet. Three of us stood looking around the one room cottage. Simple yet beautiful. A single bed and oven. One brass lamp, a table and two chairs. Everything was pushed out of place. One large chest had been lock picked and sat open empty. Turock the owner walked in behind us and begain shouting "Martha, Martha where are you. Martha you can come out now. Martha where are you?". He was panicking and started running around the room looking behind the oven, under the bed. I looked at my friends and they looked at me. We could think of nothing to do. Standing while Turock franticly searched in places no human could ever hide. He kept shouting for Martha. There was of course no answer. "Search the woods" I told my two friends. They quickly left, happy to be free of the destroyed house and its lost dreams. "Turock, Turock, TUROCK". I shoulted the last one. He stopped and looked at me. Tears covered his face. He was red. "She is ok. Its a good sign we didn't find her here." They would have left her here if they had gotten her. He seemed to ease with these words. "Lets have a look around the forest. Is there any place you two like to go? A field a pond the ocean maybe. Do you two have a special spot?" Just then I could hear my two friends talking. Turock and I went outside and what we saw was wonderful. Three people not two. Martha was in the middle. She had twigs in her hair mud on her face and only one shoe. Turock ran to her. They embraced. He kissed her face both cheeks her forehead. "Are you ok. did they hurt you. Where were you?" He gave her no time to answer grabbing her again, hugging and kissing her cheeks. "I am happy to see you are alright Marth. We were worried". "Yes I am ok. I saw them killing the chickens and hid in the woodpile." Turock spoke up-"We will leave here today." This was just another call, another day, another farm the blacklighters had destroyed. One more villager sent packing to lands unknown. I was sickened. Had seen this to many times. Blacklighters ravaged our home, our villages. It was then that I vowed to build and army. To hunt them to the ends of the map. I cannot do it alone. I need your help. Come to the epic server then to Elevation. Build, craft prepare and then join us on this quest.

    You can light a forge, oven, kiln, even smelter by using hot wood scrap short before it is taking considerable damage in a campfire. I lit my forge on Jackal that way.

    Ogwo isn't going anywhere, we will be working on a quality of life focused update in preparing for launch on steam, and some features of ogwo may change, but it will receive most updates that steam wo does, likely some will be added to steam only due to differences in platform and market but we won't be removing ogwo or letting it fall behind. As for shift of players from ogwo to steam wo, it's a hard thing to quantify, it will likely have some appeal for those seeking a fresh start, but we won't be seeking to push players from ogwo to steam

    I've seen twitch streams with more than 5 people watching what you may consider to be "boring". It's not uncommon in Wurm with people who have similar interests. However, at the same time, it's not like the game is providing constant action "like an action movie" so you can't expect your stream to be as popular as say, I don't know, maybe a Dota 2 tournament or something.

    So the main game of WO is attempting to hold onto players and draw new ones to it by restricting some of the new developments from WU. This seems unreasonable somehow? Now don't get me wrong I have played on a number of WU servers and actually preferred playing on them in comparison to WO but it seems to me that the main game needs to look after its own best interests before those of WU. It seems that the WU players are just finally realizing that this is what is happening. I think they also need to take this approach with the new Steam WO servers in restricting some appealing aspects to the main game of WO in an attempt to eventually draw some of the Steam WO players to it as well. =Ayes=
