    QoL Improvements Wurm is a great game but there have been so many things which have been bothering my players or even myself for a long time. Some of these changes are really needed for at least 11 years and most of them are super simple to implement. Deed disband warning on login if one of your alts has a deed and is running low on upkeep. When a fireplace of any kind (oven, forge, campfire,...) is going low on fuel, a warning will be displayed. The help command to call guards should work in all chats and broadcast to local chat automatically. Make items always death protected on PVE servers for at least the first 24 hours of ingame time. Let us equip and unequip horse gear when leading a horse. Make the regeneration of stamina possible on vehicles on any slope at least on PVE. Add a teleport home action which lets new players teleport to all their spawn locations in the first 24 hours. (With a cooldown ofc) Broadcast rough location (eg. in the NW) for abandoned deeds when they are disbanded by upkeep. Looting is fun and could be a nice scavenger hunt thing. Make catseyes easier to create or let us create more than one per creation action. The highway system is still not spread over the whole networks. Make deed info a more readable font for certain sections. Ever tried to read a mayor name without copy paste? Add a support ticket alert for staff members and in the MGMT chat to decrease the answer times. Add an alert for players when their support ticket is updated has been added. The command /alts could show your own alts on the IP and or Email including the last login date. (Cross server support) Backpacks should fit into ovens again. Mailing should be made free in every case. Add bulk sorting like we have it on Wurm Unlimited. It makes life so much easier. Add a new player broadcast to welcome new players. There should be an alert for new questions in CA Help for staff players. The quality of beds should matter for sleep bonus, at 100QL the bed will grant 50% more sleep bonus. The rarity of beds should matter for sleep bonus, each rarity step adds 10% bonus.

    These are the suggestions that I support. The biggest no-no's are the ones regarding beds and sleep bonus. We already get easier sleep bonus from missions, sleep bonus lasts 50% longer since cooking update, and we have tradeable sleep powders. Enough is enough.

    I've been gone from the game for a few months now, and upon returning I've noticed that the prices are very different than they were when I left. After being accused of trying to get higher prices for things by making people make me offers because I don't know the current market value of things, I figured I might as well make this post and see what has happened during my absence!     just checked on a brand new lan server and yeah this is still an issue, each login adds another line to STEAM_IDS. If I get some time later today I will see if I can throw together a mod to fix it until they release another patch that fixes it.

    Take any skill. If you had a 70 skilled blacksmith or 90 skilled blacksmith imp a tool to 70, the cost is the same. The price is always tied to the person that can do it in the fewest actions. That's...how economies work in game and in real life. You're looking at it as an employee. You have to look it as what each Wurmian is--a company. If someone managed to produce cars at 1/100th of the cost they are today with 1/100th the labor, guess what? Car prices would fall. If everyone was able to produce cars cheaply then the entire market (as it has in Wurm) would fall. That's just shifting right along the supply curve. Anyway, it looks like you have serious problems that need to get worked out. I wish you the best. On a side note, I think account selling is probably one of the big evils in the economy but God knows how we're going to slay that dragon.

    Before leaving Xanadu I made some food for myself while I was getting ready to sail over. At one point during the imping I brought some over from my boat to feed my working alts at the forge (so they could keep all their windows open), and I left the remainder in one of the material carts. Later, I was glad to see that someone was putting it to good use: I really had a great time with you all last week! This really has made for some of the fondest memories, and I will be looking forward to the next one!

    Just one point: While I see some sense in that, I do not support it in the current situation of player -> played accounts relationship. The connection between email and accounts is dated and fairly useless, especially the limitation of accounts on one email. The connection between IP and account is even less reliable as IP may dynamically change between logins, so if, e.g. an "alt" relogs on a different resource like mobile or Wifi AP vs. DSL/cable (I frequently have several boxes on different internet access), the connection between "alt" and "main" would be broken, even false connections (different players on same AP or VPN) may occur. So that command might be a can of worms or bugs. The whole player (natural person behind accounts) vs. played accounts relationship should be rethought, and the limitation per email abandoned. In fact, the "main" and "alt" terms imply a master-slave relationship which may and often will, but need not exist. For example, when I started my priest account, the priest became the "main" for weeks, my primary character only a supportive role. Similar might happen when I create a specialized PvP account etc. I would support if all accounts played by one person would have to be declared in the profile of an account (starting by the recently played one, to be confirmed by the "alt" account on login), at least for all premium accounts (maybe basic accounts too). It would have to be updated on account transfer/sale. But that is going bit too far in this discussion.

(With a cooldown ofc) (No, we don't need a lot of teleports in this game, new folks get one to their deed already -1 ) Broadcast rough location (eg. in the NW) for abandoned deeds when they are disbanded by upkeep. (No, you can scout these out no need to make it a rush for people -1) Make catseyes easier to create or let us create more than one per creation action. Indifferent or supportive of the rest, except for the sleep bonus, but I'm not sure my approach to making quality and rarity matter on beds is any less controversial.     looks like the colour isnt set for it. dungeon10color=0,0,0 it is saying that first number doesnt exist, so I would say check the properties file and make sure it has the 3 sets of numbers after the dungeon10color= I hard coded it for now, I had plans for changing it in properties file but figured I would wait to see if anyone wanted that feature or not before putting in the effort for it. I'll give it a poke.

    This is the first time I've attended an impalong and had a great time and won a handful of cool prizes! Will defo have to attend these more in the future, and come more prepared! I didn't get as many screenshots as I thought I had but I got a lot of good pic of a gorilla colony who wandered in at some point: I wish I'd got a pic of the forge with the eyes/nose/mouth added.

    ok brand new mod, default is rift event summoner but can be configured by server admin to do any creatures it wants.     GM Deed Maker (4.1) Ok this mod is for a GM (power 5) to make more than 1 deed for that character. Wave your magic wand and create some deed stakes, activate any item, stand on tile you want deed token, right click a deed stake and click make GM deed. That is all. There are none of the normal checks, so I would hope if the GM wants to resize/rename and such they would keep in mind the normal checks for making a deed, like another deed nearby, token to close to water, buildings and so on. Properties file has 1 option to change, the amount of gold automatically added to upkeep, it is a float value. so decimals. goldupkeep=0.5f so default is 50s, half of 1 gold. This is the Beta release, I have had this running on lan with no issues, a volunteer live server has had it running for a few days, no issues have popped up yet. Putting it on a test server would be a good idea first to see if any conflicts with other mods and such. New action: make GM Mayor. activate any item, right click the settlement note in inventory and click, make GM mayor. This will make you mayor of that settlement and can change all aspects of deed as usual. ---=== Auto make someone join a deed ===--- New item in game can only be created by GM with wand called "Village Welcomer", just drop it on deed. A player can then have any item active and get a new action on this "Village Welcomer" called join deed and it will add them to that deed, the only thing it checks is time between joining deeds, there is a 24 hour default time from leaving 1 deed to joining another. In properties file 2 new entries. InvitorID=131322 InvitorModel=model.creature.humanoid.human.child You only need to change InvitorID if it conflicts with another mod item id. Model you can change to what ever model you want, make it a dragon, a tower guard, a templar, a chair if you really want, default is just a man wearing rags. I didn't include a list of all the models, there may or may not be a public list somewhere already. Examine on the item will read. Activate any item, right click me and click Join Deed to join this deed. *NOTE* There may be conflicts with other mods, this is because the other modders didn't check if mayor exists before using information from mayor, poor coding practices really.     Probably more info about fishing that anyone really wants to know Posted in another thread but i'll copy it here for posterity. The code is kinda hard to follow so take the following with a grain of salt. It counts the number of tiles lower than 3 dirt under water within 10 tiles from you in all cardinal directions (not square!, it's like a + 21 tiles in in height, and 21 across), and it also checks the maximum depth within those tiles. If you are fishing in a cave you always get group 1. If there are less than 9 tiles underwater you get group 1, if there are 9 or more but less than 20, or if the maximum depth is above 250 you get group 2 else you get group 3. So for best results have 10+ tiles of underwater in at least 2 directions from you and at least 250 dirt deep. group 1 - roach and perch or chance of carp group 2 - roach, perch, trout, pike, catfish or chance of carp group 3 - roach, herring, trout, pike, catfish, carp, bass or chance of special fish Special fish - octopus, marlin, shark (blue/white), sailfish, dorado, tuna Your skill level and rod rarity affect the chance to get special fish (or carp for group 1/2) Out of every 100x100 tiles there will be a 10x10 area for every special fish type (possibly overlapping) and those will change with season and server but should otherwise be static and repeating (so if you catch an octopus here, you should be able to go 100 tiles north and catch octopus again, assuming it's still in the middle of water). Note that even if you are in a special fish spot you are still rolling against the other fish in group 3, so you won't ALWAYS get the special fish. Higher skill and rod rarity helps.
