    No. Wurm has lost too much history as it is. The wipe of '07, the forum wipe of '08, the forum rebuild that happened a couple years later, the revamp of the wiki (removing all player/village lore)... You would be removing the last "proof" of some amazing people that used to play this game. Some of those people aren't even alive to play anymore.

    Charging global spells kinda sucks, seeing as you have to pray 100k times, that's just boring. Making it so that doing missions gives favor towards your gods global spell based on your participation % would make it more enjoyable, even out the difference between global charge speed on the smaller servers vs the bigger ones with more people, and encourage working together for the missions in order to charge more rituals.

    I voted "No", for various reasons. First: the map contains a lot of data already, and it gets more crammed and harder to maintain with every new layer. Second: the main purpose of a community map is to help players find their route and help them not to get lost. That's why we have deeds, roads, tunnels etc. on it. Also we have mission structures in order to help players getting missions done. Adding "sightseeing landmarks" will not serve that purpose, in fact it will just add to the effort needed to keep the map up to date. Third: who decides which structures qualify as a "landmark" to be put on the map? By which criteria? Is it just pure size? Effort needed to build? Beauty (which lies in the eye of the beholder)? A whole can of worms to be opened... So, tldr: I am NOT keen. Sorry.

    [Enchant Power] % Chance on hit to immediately cause the target to explode and shower body parts over a 100 mile radius. Edit: Joking aside , perhaps just equalising RT with the other damage enchants would be a bit boring. What about a slow/snare effect chance on hit, while leaving the damage bonus where it is?

    What happens: Server restarts reshuffle the position of hitched horses on a wagon, I often find that horses specifically put in the back positions for qol reasons find themselves in the front positions after the server comes back up. What I expect to happen: Horses hitched stay hitched where I put them. Steps to reproduce: Hitch specific horses to specific slots on a wagon and watch them change after a restart.

    Hi all, We’ve been aware of the discussions on the forums regarding the desire for a completely new and fresh experience in PvP on Epic. The issue we face with this is the long term requirement in order to set something like this up. As such we've compiled a list of changes we can make in a short timeframe that we feel address the majority of issues raised. Everything below is planned for just after the end of june update about a month from now, but is dependent on a vote to be held soon to see if the majority is in favor of a reset to the Elevation map and some pretty heavy mechanic changes for epic in general. Everything below is not final and we are more then open suggestions of things to add/remove/change. Larger changes to Epic as a whole are planned for later in the year, and will include any successful changes over the next few months as well as extra planned content and changes for that time. Changes below are all Epic Only Changes and some are also Elevation Only Changes General Changes(All of Epic) New 2k Sized Map by Ausimus This week we will open a public poll on the forums to vote on the possibility of a new map for Elevation. The current 4k map size is a bit large so we would like to go back to a 2k size map. This map will be a temporary map and will be unlikely to be around past the end of this year we have future plans that could easily force Elevation to change again in the future. Resetting of the map would also come with no new map given for the first month or two, allowing for exploration and unexpected confrontation. Deeds disbanding on a set number of chain drains(Elevation Only) A common complaint is deeds can be near impossible to disband even after its clear the owner has not been defending it in days. Our current plan is to require 5 drains in a row to disband a deed but we are open to suggestions on what number of drains in a row should trigger an auto disband of that deed. Meditation effects will cap out at 9, effect above 9 will no longer work on epic. Scaling SOTG is disabled meaning no sotg at all. Hate path creature damage effect will be changed to something non damage boosting. Insanity Clean wound will be reworked to heal more wound types. Balancing all the effects over level 9 are just not viable in the time we have, we propose disabling meditation skills/passives over level 9. These will be revisited in the future when there is more time to spend on Meditation as a whole. Stone Skin, True Strike, and Continuum will have their cooldowns drastically increased to 1 hour. Currently these spells are way to powerful and can be cast almost endlessly with enough karma. We are looking for some feedback on what you think good cooldown lengths might be for each of these spells on their own. Physical Damage Resistance/Penalty will be replaced by Fall Damage. Stacking DR can get a bit crazy, the idea behind this is to change the physical damage valrei trait and replacing it with fall damage similar to the water damage one. Rare vehicles will no longer increase the speed of an under crewed boat it will now increase its cargo. This perk has been long known to be one of the best rare item bonuses in the game for pvp, we would like to remove the passenger bonus and instead allow rare+ boats to have increased cargo areas instead. 30% increased cargo space per rarity level Reduce Hell Horse Speeds Hell horses might be a little too fast, we are looking for ideas on how you would like to see them slowed down some ideas include reducing rare shoe bonus and removing the always on speed traits. Combat skill Soft Caps To help balance out the top tier accounts vs people just joining we would like offer a sort of soft cap on some combat related skills including body stats. This would not make leveling them any slower but would reduce your effectiveness per level in that skill above a set level for each. Your total carry weight(for example) and other less combat oriented areas will still receive full benefit from levels. Open up quick travel between any server border with a 1 hour cooldown for everyone on the boat before they may cross using that again. Many know that sailing between servers on the epic cluster can turn into 2+ hour long trips, I would like to find some reasonable limit to help prevent abuse but I think we can find a good middle ground any suggestions appreciated. Speed up horse breeding Currently losing too many horses in a short period can mean sitting back for weeks to restock. The current plan is to speed up gestation to roughly 2 days until birth but leave growth periods the same. Remove Karma Recall(Along with recall being gone will mean no teleporting out of stupid situations you might get into). It’s no fun to be tracking someone down from a sticky situation they got into and for them to just vanish from being cornered back to a safe deed with everything they own. Map Reset Specific Changes (Elevation Only) Reduce the max slope you can dig to something under 300 while keeping the skill you need to dig it the same. This will make creating massive dirt walls a bit harder and allow more people to help build deeds instead of requiring 99+ digging accounts to finish walls. Reduce the max rock you can surface mine and place mine doors on while keeping the skill required the same. Rock pits are an issue as they add onto dirt walls, though with mine door restrictions below might not be needed feed back on this appreciated. Can only have 4 mine doors placed on any given 11x11 area and must have 3 spaces between each individual mine door. We all know of the current mine door meta, we would like to end that with this new map and put some hard caps on the amount of mine doors in a given area. We’re looking for your feedback on this all but won’t be responding immediately, instead we’ll be collecting some questions and things to discuss on the devstream later today.

    I recommend this for incentive to play on either cluster. Another nice thing would be my suggestion for 2 way skill transfer, at a fair conversion ratio (which might be 1:1 initially). See other topic for discussion on that related subject.

    FB/FA is way better then RT. Afaik RT is giving 20%DMG and FB/FA 30% (or something like that). FB is only vyn so we dont be able to get it as BL. long story short, nobody wants RT on his weapon and that makes it useless. Would be nice to have a buff on that cast. so that the WL/BL weapon cast a bit morw even. I know there is still BT, but not everybody like to grind that up. with mobs its a pain and with alts its maybe fast, but when the body stats drop to low on the alts, it will not work anymore. plus you have millions corpses laying around at the token. RT wounds are useless too, never saw someone dying from that. I think its even more a downside that the RT wound stacks to the blow, instead doing an extra wound. (dunno how much DMG Venom is doing, but I never saw someone useing it. only the bypass of the glance rate is nice, what ever it means)

    I tried using that myself a few months ago, but I was not getting any output either (although it worked for me it the past). As far as Niarja goes, I'm thinking that you could manually edit your skill-dump text file before you upload it (with the 'highest' skill values already in place when you delete the 20 values).

    If anyone crossed from elevation to a home server(home server to elevation causes no issue) since the server opened when you got to the home server your meditation level was set to 9 due to a bug. This was also fixed today and you and anyone else effected should open a support ticket so I can verify and return your levels.

    From the looks of it, you have a guard plan in WURMZONES.db GUARDPLAN table without a corresponding village. I *think* this will work in Sqlite: SELECT gp.* FROM GUARDPLAN gp LEFT JOIN VILLAGES v ON gp.VILLAGEID = v.ID WHERE v.ID IS NULL That should show you the offending guardplan so you can delete it. If you manually deleted a village from the database then there may be other tables where data could be depending on it. In WO, we don't delete villages. Even ones that are disbanded remain, which is how we were able to implement archaeology. Hope this helps.

    I'm also glad. I originally misunderstood Budda's ruling on this issue, but players prodded it more which in turn made Retrograde prod it more and cleared up the issue.

    Map software update From now on you can not only search for deeds, but also for special places ("mission structures"): Just use the radio buttons to choose whether you want to find a deed or a special place.

    Thanks for the nice feedback. There is a lot cool stuff on the way. We want to make Wurm how we would like it to be in the first place, creating our own version, or even our own game and the upcoming QoL update is inspired by the time between 2008 and 2015 when we were actively playing Wurm Online. Many things will be added which we have been missing for so many years. Things which should make your life a whole lot easier, while we want to keep the spirit and the nature of Wurm at the same time.

    I made WurmDate, a little web tool to convert Wurm dates (e.g. "day of the Wurm in week 2 of the starfall of Dancers in the year of 997") to their corresponding real dates (e.g. "31. May 2009") and vice versa. This conversion is not quite as trivial as it may seem, because the simple rule "1 real day = 8 Wurm days" can not be applied without corrections. Whenever the Wurm servers are down for maintenance or other reasons, the in-game Wurm clock is stopped; thus the conversion algorithm must allow for past server downtimes. The tool therefore uses a list of "reference time stamps" and interpolates between them, using the "8x" rule mentioned above. (A reference time stamp is a known Wurm date together with its corresponding real date - usually taken from a player's event log.) The current version of WurmDate uses a list of 264 reference timestamps between 22. September 2007 and today. The tool can be found here: https://yaga.host/wurmdate/ The conversion should have an accuracy of +/- 1 real day (except between 2007 and 2009, where I still need more reference data). Due to limitations of the current reference list, the earliest date that can be converted is "day of Tears in week 1 of the starfall of the Leaf in the year of 983", corresponding to "23. September 2007". (... and I am not even quite sure if that date is correct...) All veteran players: if you have been around before that date, please check your old log files and send me any time stamps (including the real dates) you can find between 2007 and 2009!     Sorry everyone that's been following this project, I had quit playing Wurm due to the fact that I burn myself out very easily, same thing with this project, just pushed myself a bit too much on it. It may be a while yet before I continue this, but I do intend to continue work on this at some point in the future, hopefully not too far into the future, so stay tuned ^^

    I am not much interested in what you do with your rares in the privacy of your own home. Beyond this, what captures and sustains a players interest in the game starts to diverge from this thread topic so I don't want to get too far off track into that direction other than as it pertains to the "current market". I will say though that what you describe as your motivations and satisfactions are not my own that have held my interest in the game all these years and continue to do so. In my view it has only improved greatly in these areas of my own interests. =Ayes=

    Thanks for all this; I will plan on keeping my calendar open to attend. Should I be one of the impers, then these are my 70+ abilities (across my 3 accounts): Blacksmithing: (95),(71) Carpentry: (95),(85) Cloth Tailoring: (78) Fine Carpentry: (87) Leatherworking: (88),(86) Masonry: (92),(79) Shield Smithing: (76) I see that there is mention of booze, but there surely must be a need for more. My rare liquor still not only produces a more potent duration, but entirely different affinities for those of us who have not "fixed" them (in their profile settings). There are thousands of liters worth in my cellar, so I'll be bringing more than enough for everyone to drink deep. I also have nearly 100 sleep powders on hand and would love share them with those hard workers who run out. Please set me up in a room next to Chromega so that I may drill a hole in the wall and learn his secrets. A room above or below would also suffice.
