    Wurm Life survived without respawning uniques for 6 years. With the price of drake sets declining lately, I'm pretty sure less unique slayings won't end the world. If your argument is bloods to sell for silver.... you could chip as many bricks in an hour or two. You'll live.

    could organise an event that doesn't ostracise a group of players instead of laughing and saying 'hey you can fix it if you do something extra no one else has to' I don't have this issue but I can see that its pretty bad design and especially nasty to not even warn people before they go wasting their time.

    I'm unsure how much interest there is in instant mailboxes, but I haven't seen anyone else offering the services yet. I'm can do 101+ dark messenger casts. 1.5s if you provide favor, 2s if I need to bring my own favor. Delivery fee is 1s to inland Xanadu, free everywhere else. Also accepting payment in garlic and chopped veggies. If you need a lower cast I'm willing to do that too. PM me here on the forums or Xsamuraizx ingame for more information.

    Independence is 10 years old, and Julie, the NPC who has totally always been around and in the background of every major happening on Independence wants to celebrate, and she needs your help! Ever the fun loving kind, Julie wants to invite some unknown and well known names to this party, but being an NPC she can't wander around, this is where you come in. Travel around Independence and invite the weird and wonderful NPC's of Wurm to come along to a party, some may require some help before they can come though! This event starts at Freedom Market, and will travel far and wide across Independence. To start on this you will need to be a premium player. Depending on how many people you can find and invite, you will get a common, rare, supreme or fantastic version of the item, the wonderful Statue of Dragonfang! The event will run until the end of July update, so you have a whole month to check it out! I'll also be doing a community stream at 10PM tonight GMT time, where I will be going through the event and chatting as I do, if you'd like to join me on it be at Freedom Market then!     It's more that the situation was getting so incredibly toxic that we felt we needed to step in and address the major outcry first. It's all well and good to wait until the major overwork is ready, but sometimes an interim measure must be taken to ensure the situation doesn't get out of hand.

    NO to this. Affinities are basically now a nice surprise bonus that you get sometimes from playing the game. One of the few things that you now can't buy or maybe you can still "harvest" them by killing other players (which I hope they would remove too). The ability to sell them off like this (face it that is what many/most will do) just adds them to the pile of making money from playing the game opportunities. They should be kept as is as small surprise rewards for playing the game. You are given this special gift and then want to sell it off. A sad, sad suggestion... =Ayes=

    As you all know, I am fairly critical of the devs, but in this instance I will point out this whole post is purely FUD. How is making a change that applies equally to everyone favoring one group over another? Pendulums favor those that have the ability, time and alts to exploit it and twitter alerts favor those online at the moment by giving them a heads up to begin searching over others that simply happen to be asleep. How does "nothing" benefit anyone in specific? Besides are you accusing staff of giving one group preferential treatment over another? You got any proof or are you just creating FUD?

    ok, so I have a few ideas that I'm going to squeeze into this post mostly portable camping type items but there are a few other ideas too. I will explain what gave me the idea for portable items, I have attended a few rifts and slaying events at each one, I created a campsite, I also create them when I'm exploring, I know it may seem silly but I enjoy getting into the spirit of the role-playing aspect of the MMORPG and in my view camping is a part of this. anyway my list of items I would love to see in the game in no particular order A portable spirit house, as we all know the spirit houses can only be pushed etc. I personally think that all they would have to do is just add the load and secure option to a wooden spirit house. however, if they wanted to get crazy with it I guess they could make it a spirit tent, it would still have to be on the ground to be used. portable bed/ cot/ sleeping bag, this one has been suggested once a long time ago with a few good ideas connected with it. there is already a model for the sleeping bag/ bed that the wagoneer uses why couldn't that model be used as a portable bed for players to craft with around 20 skill in cloth tailoring the sleeping bag could be placed on flat ground or inside a tent, or have a cot version that can only fit in the military tent. it would not replace the tent it would just be a sleep option and would also be nifty to have. (update) New: You can now craft bedrolls, similar to the 2019 Christmas Gift version. Bedroll requires tent owned by player within 2 tiles. Bedroll can only be slept on by the person who dropped it, also only picked up by the person who dropped it. A player will get 75% of the normal bed sleep bonus gain for the crafted bedrolls.. The Christmas Gift version allows full sleep bonus and has a unique texture. Bedrolls (both crafted and festive) take damage on use, decay as usual, are repairable and impable. Thank you Dev Team A portable altar, for priests to be able to sacrifice on the go this could be as simple as the priest blessing a bowl or it could be created with a few materials like a brick and a bowl or plank and bowl, etc. to make the small portable altar. it would still have to be placed on the ground to use but it would be able to be picked up and carried by the priest it would not replace large alters but it would greatly improve the quality of life for priests. or just make the wooden alter able to be picked up or loaded. A walled pavilion or yurt, I like the military tent, however, if I really wanna wurm "glamp" this item is where its at, haha. the pavilion would work exactly like the regular and military tent it would just have a larger interior to decorate, the portable bed could also be used in it. The ability to set up tents/ allow camping perms on deed, this came about when I got my nifty kingdom tent and wanted to display it on my deed I spoke to a few friends and found out that the only way to set a tent up on deed is to use an unfinished one, I was sorely disappointed, so the idea is to have the option to allow camping on the deed. this option would be set in the roles for non-villagers and allow pitch tent for villagers, the tents would also be subject to deed decay rules. I feel that this would make it possible to display those cool kingdom tents or even to have "KOA" type of deeds along the roads. (for anyone who doesn't know a KOA is a type of public camping site we have around where I live in real life.) A huge keg, imagine something like the wine barrel but like 10 times the size. It would hold double the liquid volume as the huge tub. could be planted sealed and loaded into a ship Knarr or larger, or a special wagon could hold water or fermenting alcohol. Keg wagon, this would be the vehicle to transport a huge keg (see image below) I really liked the image I found of this item when I googled barrel wagon. It that would be filled from a water source with the assistance of a large or small barrel, it would be pulled by one horse/ bison and can only be embarked as commander, sorry no passengers on this one. it would also follow default game speed rules for large cart. the keg would follow its rules as previously stated. when opened the inventory would show the barrel and liquid content, the inventory capacity is the huge keg (full), 1large/or 2small barrels(full), and one large chest. A large barrel and oil barrel rack, the idea for this item was born from the ridiculous amount of large barrels and oil barrels I have cluttering up my brewery storage area and since we have the nice wine barrel rack and the small barrel rack why not a large barrel rack or shelf or something also it would be handy to be able to seal those large barrels. A crude wooden bench, this idea came about when I was working on a building and was disappointed when the wooden bench was so opulent and good looking I was hoping it would have been just a simple wooden bench like the stone one but it turned out to be so nice looking it really didn't fit the theme of the room I was decorating, and I was forced to use the stone bench. those are a few of the ideas I can think of right now if anyone feels I missed something feel free to reply to this post.

    So, we have this new metal property, "anchor effectiveness". In my understanding, it is supposed to work today, like this: - lead anchors keep the boat moored, in one place. - with anchors in metals like iron, the boat drifts slowly away. However, it is the case, as far as I'm aware, that boats without anchor don't drift at all (with no commander, of course). That is inconsistent and weird today, when with an anchor they'd move! I'm sure it must have been intended to make them drift. New players were wondering for years if they would, it's kinda common sense. Can we have them drift please? More than with any anchor, slightly more, but well, more. That makes sense now that we have these inefficient anchors already. Make them useful, at least make them help in SOME measure. The opposite means you're better off without anchor than an iron one, which just doesn't make sense.

    Also, from Great South Road we have 2 access points to the rift. 1 is on north side of Ravenlake (pretty close from The Howl),second is crossroad, which let u come from south side of Ravenlake. I marked this points by signs. Camp is ready, some trees r waiting for cuttind down. Plizz dont cut oaks. TY.

    There was some setting on Chrome causing an issue a few years back, let me try to remember how to resolve it .. it had to do with what editor is used for editing a forum post I think. edit: sorry this was copy pasting in Chrome to forum posts that was causing the issue, not general editing. Also, it may have been a couple "forum update versions" ago as I don't see the "edit toggle" mentionned in the thread now: It rather sounds like some sort of formatting is not getting closed properly, especially if it occurs in "spoilers within spoilers". If it just started only in the past few weeks, it may be a browser extension or a windows update that started the issue. I personally haven't experienced any issues of this type, and I tend to edit my posts a LOT. On the other hand, I don;t use "spoilers within spoilers" which sounds like one of the main issues.

    The content of these two posts pretty well sums up the situation with the Pristine/Release servers (yeah Pristine came first) and why another new "isolated" server along these lines will not accomplish what the OP supposes that it would. Another point to add to this that was not mentioned was the ability of current players to channel their in game funds into P&R through the Epic portals which then gave the current playerbase another advantage in purchase powers for creating new large deeds in prime locations with purchased Traders that they could setup there to then start draining even more silvers from the establishment upkeep of all the new deeds that were created. *waves fondly at Protunia (the original one) wherever you may be* <<-one of these types of advantageous players. Anyway, all this aside, now the discussion has evolved into the direction of the "market" (new players being able to compete with the older players to make money from playing the game). When the focus for playing the game shifts into this direction then certainly older players with both their knowledge of how this so called "market" functions and the types of characters that can take advantage of these functions to the best advantages due to their skill sets are the players that will make the most money from playing the game. So whenever this "market" is mentioned you can bet that this is what these players are talking about even if they try to mask it under different shadings that would attempt to seem benevolent such as drawing new players into the game. If then new players start to play the game with this focus and intention they may very well get discouraged because there is only so much "market" here to go around for these types of players to make money from playing the game. My contention is and has always been that the game is not really about making money from playing it but rather playing it for the enjoyment that it provides. So if this is the intent then the game (Devs) should not focus upon bending (warping?) and shaping the game mechanics with this goal in mind (making money from playing it) but rather focus upon making the game an enjoyable experience to play for the content within it. I do think that they do this to a great extent and all this "market" player draw is just proposed by those players who focus upon making money from playing the game. The curse that the game now has is this "market" ability to make money from playing the game that it can't rid itself of since it is too well ingrained into the whole of the game systems and I think that still the true god of Wurm (Rolf) looks upon as a beneficial aspect of "giving something back" to people who play the game. Yet look at the road down which it has lead us and if your focus is not making money from playing the game you might see the situation differently. Therefore, any proposed solutions that attempt to "level the playing field" for new players in terms of creating equal "market" opportunities I reject as being detrimental to the game both for the fact that they only worsen this situation of playing the game to make money and will not resolve the situation in terms of making more money available for those who want to make money from playing it. When this objective intrudes upon the concept of drawing new players into the game it distorts it into that direction rather than making a game available to them that they will enjoy playing apart from this money making ability. Possibly the surprising idea to some is that many (most?) other mmorpg games do not provide the opportunity to make money from playing them and yet they draw +1,000's of players to them. Their in game markets for player trade are not distorted by this, nor do their Developers need to reduce the abilities of more experienced players for some kind of "equal opportunity" in this respect. The longer that players play those games the stronger they become, justifiably so because of the time they have put into it. This is true within Wurm as well and should not be thought of as something to nerf/reduce for the sake of the "market" (making money from playing the game). Is there some solution then to draw more players into the game? Well I don't know what it is but I know what it is Not. Can you guess? For that matter can you make Wurm into something that it is not, by that I mean a game that appeals to the masses that these other true mmorpg's do so well. Let's face it we are just a quaint little town here where the country mice can dwell and munch contentedly upon their cheese while a few others scurry around gathering the scraps to sell to the other mices who prefer the mixed varieties. The city mice will not find what they desire here unless at heart they are not one of them but a lost soul who has finally found their way to their true home. Then the dance will continue between those who are enjoying the cheese and those who sell off the scraps.... Happy Tails =Ayes=

    +1 I would like at least one of these for my woodland, as well as being functional it would add a lot to the atmosphere in forested areas - I would like to see more regional vehicles and other objects with a practical use in specific regional biomes. Just a few ideas: In the lush valleys I would like to see horses pulling a beer dray - an open wagon full of beer or wine barrels brewed in the hop gardens and vineyards regions. It would be good if we could add the name of our brewery (or other business) on the side (like shop signage) - e.g. "Muse's Milk and Dairy" This would allow us to choose from: Beer Dray, Wine Merchant, Coal Wagon, Milk / Dairy Wagon, Farmer's Market, Cotton Merchant, Scrap/Salvage...Abbatoir/Undertaker! and more.

    We just need a slider for UI Scaling. I like having many small clients open for running several alts at once and the UI is horribly large for them. Maybe a 400% to 25% slider. That ought to cover everyone's needs. The worst things for me are the map and craft windows. On your screen, that map looks fantastic!

    If you lose skill on Epic, you have to increase it back to it's original value, cross to Freedom, then cross back to Epic and it will be your Freedom value. So if your Epic FS was 89.25 and it dropped to 89, just skill it back up to 89.25, cross to Freedom, cross back and it will be 93.

    Our reasons for leaving -1 are pretty simple. The affinity system was designed to be a permanent buff for a dedicated crafter who pours many many hours a day. It was not designed to have affinities passed around much like the current purchase and sale of characters. I want to grind..... hot food cooking.... lets say. 1. I go out and buy 5 hot food cooking affinities for 10 silver or whatever. 2. I fill pans for a few days, or I pay someone to do it, I get my 99.999 HFC or whatever. 3. Now that I have my desired skill, I'm free to sell these affinities to someone else. I would argue that there are very few "useless" affinities for a priest as a result of the priest overhaul changes. I would also argue that the market would be flooded from the get-go because of PvP toons that still have stupid crazy numbers of affinities as a result of years of farming kills/affinities on Chaos.

    Wagoners Strike of 1084 The wagoners are staging a strike at this time over the 'unsafe exit conditions in tunnels'. They feel their horses should be issued wide brim hats to protect their eyes when exiting dark tunnels to stop the horses from being spooked by the bright light. and having 'unpleasant gaseous expenditures'.     so you're telling me uniques are actually more unique now why is this a bad thing, in games where eve meant for titans to be in the dozens and now there are over 5000 of them, the game is tightening the reigns on its self to regulate it back into the acceptable area

    And that should be why the uniques won't be instantly found and penned and killed... or if they are by the same people again within the same time period... feel free to start spinning more conspiration theories. I am more hopeful for a more levelled play field where we won't have people logging in on a server as soon as a message will pop either on twitter or event feeds (cause alts and WA exists)... and now we will have a chance to stubble upon uniques again... not loggin to find them pen or already dead.
