    Dragon drama isnt new, people fight over scarce resources, its human nature. The failure here was the creation and fair enforcement of rules regarding the matter by the staff. It is very unfortunate they seem to enjoy these grey areas that allow hypocritical rulings as they make their decisions based on the participants.

    I am a window frame, and I approve this message. Safe to say, the Troll King was mostly talking gibberish. I couldn't quite understand most of it; it probably spoke Flemish with a thick accent, instead of Dutch.

    There was a third member with alts stealthed as well. In the end we want an end to this drama, the changes coming to the game next week are an attempt to address the rising toxicity within legendary hunting. We are not going to be wasting our time with players harassing each other over dragons, and if these changes don't help and don't have people playing nice we are willing to remove them until such a time as we can rework them completely

    Welcome to Valley Hold Tunnel Project Starting August 1st, 2019 Project Information We are starting a tunnel project at P9 Valley Hold Xanadu trying to connect to the highway at Mountain Pass Mining.     I believe I will be closing down access to the map and this thread. It seems people are unwilling to help but they are very willing to take advantage of others that do the work. (226 views on this forum thread, 532 accesses on the page, so it is getting used a lot..) Instead, I will switch this to a "if you add something, you get access" type of scenario. Without seeing the map in advance, people could possibly submit the same ones again and again, but at least that way I can double check locations AND in case something new appears, add it to the map. Btw, no epic structure posted in this thread counts to get access... I am still figuring out how to do this, will come up with a solution asap. I am sorry for the good and fair people out there, but...I don't like or care about free riders. PS. naturally, the 3 people that posted will get prime access to this

    sounds like you may have captured Chlodovech! come to think of it i''ve not seen him in a while. Though you can't rule out those Dutch..they can be quite hard to wrangle and prone to aggression and hold dearly their independence, no pun intended.

    As for the OP, I don't think we should leave players to rule these events given the greed and drama around them.. IMO best is to use a 'rift' or w/e "similar" automated way to spawn, kill, loot distribution... preferably.. give nothing to 2silver alts(new players will live just fine skipping 1 reward, can join any other after that; if you pay 8-10s a month that's a + for the game and you're paying just as much as anybody else.. alt or not.. at that point you deserve a piece of the pie~)

    Think we have now sorted out Wurmhole's questions ingame, work has proceeded nicely on the canal and walkway. Our 'project manager' is taking a break but lots of worker bees have kept at it the best we can The canal is now basically clear of blocking veins, the only one remaining is the lead on JD's Oasis deed. There are still a few old reinforced tiles that need removing up near the Blossom entrance which we hope can be disintegrated but otherwise the place is looking good (big thanks to Darq and Serraphine for all the work up on that north end of the canal.) The walkway continues to have lots of goodies and not so goodies to be removed, and the connection of the north and south ends needs to be made, again the deeded Oasis area needs mining out to make a connection. We will get there in the long run.

    Greetings fellow citizens of Independence! We are proud to announce the official opening of the new Samling Fjord highway system that links the highway east and west of the lake. It consists of two projects that together made the whole highway system possible. Samling Pass and Samling Span. (Location is approximate.) Samling Pass (Herritage Site) A massive tunnel system that links the Samling Span Bridge through the Nostalgia Community at 25x;12y exiting approximately at around 22x;14y. This system consists of a fully reinforced and clad 3 wide system with lighting installed. The tunnel connects the two highways and allows for the highway system to link with the east side of the Fjord without circumventing the lake and the mountains. Its a quick route allowing easy access. Pictures: Samling Span: The bridge connects the tunnel with the rest of the highway system east of the Samling Fjord. Its conveniently designed to allow for easy sailing and maximising esthetic value. We plant to introduce lighting to it in the near future. Massive amounts of hours invested in making this project a reality. @Magg Mined out a crazy amount of sandstone and other veins.     the tethers are what cause them to bash 90% of the time though, you try to lure them or they aggro a mob to eat it, they decide they wish to go somewhere after, theres a house inbetween them and their goal, their pathfinding bugs out and they 1 shot the walls. I am almost certain you cant have large enough areas to prevent bashing every time before people find them without straight up removing them from 8x8 servers tethers were never removed either if they were it didnt work, its currently rng if a unique is locked to an area, is soft leashed or is fully unleashed but i guess thats part of the fun of having literally 0 info on such a thing, who knows if its a bug or not to report it

    The problem with banning the sales of silver is the fact that the game still wants your real money. You still need real money to buy premium and pay for your upkeeps and buy goods, unless you sell stuff which is effectively allowing sales of items for real money and the same thing as silver selling. If wurms economy was something similar to that of say, runescape, where your ingame coins are obtainable through many ingame methods and tradable with other players who also obtained them via ingame methods, and you can buy premium with those ingame coins, it would be a totally different story. Especially since runescape already bans selling items/money out of game. It would be great for people that legit are just trying to get their prems/upkeeps paid for, but I feel there's too many players with the mindset that they should be allowed to work for money in wurm and that's supported by the team so it would never work, and would probably lose even more players. But hey, we can at least reduce the necessity for so much silver. Why's it 8e/10s a month for prem for every single account? Why aren't we paying for a master account that allows x many characters, and if needed extra charges for x amount of characters? 8e a month for one account is cheap, but when you add in just one priest alt it's suddenly 16e a month and it's not like every priest alt is played as a main to the same extent of prem time usage. It seems pretty outdated, especially when you can spend 2s a month on fresh alts for whatever use they may have obviously limited by being prem for only 30 days. Even if we just had a basic system that allowed one free second account for the same prem, and 2e/2s a month more for each extra account, it would be such a difference. I know the argument would be "but then ccab loses money!!!" well if the game relies on less people paying for more accounts, then that's a giant problem way beyond us

    The troll king of gravel mountain has been subdued, but not before bashing a few window frames and doors. Some attempts were made to negotiate with the beast but unfortunately i do not speak dutch. All are free to come fight the beast. Makes Stonecutting imbue potions. Central indy closeish to shore, will post location a few hours before.

    Just my two cents - All of this is great, but it's targeting a small demographic. The majority of people who are going to return to Elevation are likely existing players who enjoyed Epic when it was first released, and it was more simple and straight forward. There's not a lot of incentive or push to pull in new players though. Judging by the premium graphs it doesn't seem to be a huge return either, and after the first few weeks the hype dies down, and people quit. Is there anything be put into advertising, e-mail, or in-game rewards such as titles? I'm concerned that it's going to have a great launch and immediately after start to decline.

    Plenty of deer in the wild! I want coloured deer too, and wild spawned traited deer. Unfortunately Saromans crayons are occupied elsewhere but I will speak with him about the possibility some time

    I don't trust WO to prevent unique creatures from bashing into my deed. (imo, they should be able to bash out of a deed and never spawn on a deed) And thus, I'm looking for suggestions on securing animals. The only one I can come up with is hitching all horses to vehicles. But Hell horses won't stay hitched to a vehicle. Some animals can't be hitched at all. For me I have a greenish brown bear and some hell horses I'm not sure how to protect. Thanks for your ideas in advance.

    Everyone has the same opportunity to loot a deed as it disbands, so there is no point in removing the messages. If you choose not to do your homework then that's on you. The sooner the deed is looted the better, why delay because of laziness?

    when I was a noob on wild a lifetime ago I collected all kinds of conditioned deer. then they wouldn't stop packing the grass so I killed them all. then deer lairs were later removed +1 to deer rage. bring back spawning with conditions too.

    The drama will follow over to frontier too. It won't ever stop. With that said, suggestion 1 from OP guarantees more private parties. If the team really wants to combat the private party issue, the first thing they need to do is make all drake/scale drops a standard weight (say 0.03kg).. no matter how many people are in local. Because, as it stands now, there's theoretically no incentive for anyone to host a public slaying if they get way more leather with just a few of their buddies.

    Glad u folks enjoyed em .. in a side note the series is filmed at Howick Pioneer Village, which is just down the road from where i live ... https://fencible.org.nz/en/ History wise some of the buildings there are almost as old as buildings in New Zealand get, our oldest existing (European style) building dates back to 1820 ish, ... Otherwise u are in Maori ways of building with wood, which doesnt stand the test of time well. I should note that the Maori would have passionate Wurm players had they the chance, as they were very much into large scale land reshaping, in the form of terraced hills where they built fortified villages for defence .. what they could do w digging sticks beggars belief. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Tree_Hill_(New_Zealand) PS, the word "fencible" referrs to "Defencible" houses, ie somewhat fortified houses built by settlers at a time when Maori attacks were feared.

    Recent influx in more dragon drama brings this back to mind, as the current system is being reprogrammed, why not consider this option so server groups can truly "own" the spawn, as well as dedicated groups that wish to slay can do so as well. Still thinking the karma cost would need to be a bit steeper than some of the followup suggestions, which in turn would encourage more effort towards mission completions. Hey, that might actually encourage working together rather than fighting and bickering against each other...novel concept. bump.

    We will be changing aggro with legendary creatures and re adding tethers for them. This means they will not spawn within moving range to a deed and will not demolish deeds.

    As said, no rule exists. Today a player travelled to a server they don't play on, to stand in local and antagonise the people working on that deed. After watching them repeatedly ask for this player to leave them alone the GM team gave a directive to leave and stop harassing the other players. Because this directive was applied to the player it included the alts they had stealthed in a mine nearby. The other player who had alts stealthed in the mine was not told to leave because he had done nothing wrong. This is an attempt to frame being told to leave for harassing players as something related to the unique

    Thank you for these! I love these guys. I enjoyed these so much that I went to their page and ended up binge watching the whole series of Epic NPC Man yesterday and for good measure watched the series on the PUBattlegrounds even though I usually have no interest in that kind of game. Just because they're so funny. lol. This one really hit my funny bone.

    Lets just point out apparently what isnt obvious....as a silver seller that silver that gets purchased from me and many others sellers still supports the game. In my case money from the silver sales go into the paypal account of which i then log into the shop to buy prem time. SO lets not paint silver sellers as evil or negative and start a mass panic.

    Yes, I agree it is good work but the game should not do this for us. The game is all about players transforming these lands. These abandoned places are their "remains", sort of like corpses with memories tied to them. If old paved places are unpleasant to look upon anyone can remove them with some effort. This is justified and its own reward. Let's just be cautious about removing roads that seemingly lead to nowhere as they are actually paths to somewhere for some others to follow. If at the end there are a lot of paved patches or even huge ones then these are great candidates for removal. I remember another thread like this not long ago, so this is a nice revival of the idea. I find that a high woa shovel helps cut down the timer a lot and makes the task not so time consuming. Then perhaps plant some trees or just gaze off into the distance thinking of the meadow that will cover the ground after you are long gone. Maybe forever, even..... =Ayes=

    I don't see why we must forbid it. They are not supporting it right now, if they would to support it they would have to implement ingame mechanic, like trade window where you could link your paypal ingame and trade with people without risk.. They are simply not forbidding it now and that's all. And don't be foolish, chance to earn some extra cash on side while doing something you like is the main selling point of this game for a lot of people, if they forbid that they wouldn't stick that long and population would be even smaller If you want to ban something it should be account sales more than silvers...

    Yeah I wouldn't see Wurm 2015 as much different from now, graphics are a bit better now and there are a few more features. The real classic game is Wurm pre 2010. I already mentioned previously but Wurm in 2009 felt like a whole different game. So many great memories, I would love to support such a Wurm classic project programmatically and financially.

    Syn, or anyone else that knows, How is the E/W end of the canal and walkway supposed to map out? Currently, the canal and path are not directly in line with the tunnel openings. Is the intent to have them do so, all the way to the corner, where it turns South? I am assuming it is a little off track to dodge some reinforcements? I ask, because I am working on a mining project at my Bloom Town deed and thought I'd try making some interesting sights for travelers as they sail or walk by.

    ok been testing upkeep. Making it perm gives it 336 days upkeep but yes it also becomes a spawn location for anyone. Could look at making mod add like 5g (maybe properties option for amount) to deed upkeep when created, that should cover pretty much any size you could want, then you won't need to remember to just create some coin and add to upkeep. I think main issue I have at the moment is with mods that auto-disband deeds, I think that mod needs a 'ignore list' so it doesn't disband deeds you don't want it to disband. @Hippiedruidsorry man I have no intention to fix Sinducks broken mods, isn't he a wurm dev now? Edit: yeah adding upkeep was a snap, have it set to 1g atm "The upkeep will last approximately 2800 days more." for 11 x 11

    Deeds set to permanent become spawn points, which is what we want to avoid.

    conversations I have had with people on this subject so far has all been around that purely having the deeds without needing alts is all they need. Be it for trade route mod, making outposts, dungeon/event areas. So they say as long as they can make deed, change name, do perms, resize and then never have to touch it again they would be happy. Currently I am testing the deed upkeep and such. Possible issues that may arise are to do with there not actually being any mayor associated with the deeds anymore, to be honest only time will tell if that makes any issues appear. I am thinking like the web site map that lists mayor names and such. Would still like more feed back from others on this too.
