    Guess I'll weigh in even if I'm a bit late I'm nervous to see what comes from this, just based on what we've seen in the past in terms of quick, major fixes. That said, a new, smaller map is a very good thing (I'm resisting the urge to say "I told you so" when I voted against the elevation reset years ago). I hope it is more like the old elevation map with wide open areas and mountains than what we currently have. I'm happy to see that a lot of the primary issues with PvP are being addressed since that's the only reason I played this game. When I started Epic in 2012, I was pretty much able to jump into PvP the moment I could ride a horse. I couldn't imagine doing that today. I don't necessarily agree with all of the changes being made, but I'm happy that the issue with old, strong accounts with tons of buffs and SotG and moon metals is being addressed, even though I'm one of those. I'm cool with older accounts being stronger, but they shouldn't just dumpster everyone else. Soft caps for characteristics are good. Not sure to feel about hellhorses. I agree that they're something of a barrier to PvP entry. That said, the barrier is partially removed when the map is made smaller and there still exists the tradeoff to not having led pets (do people even still do that?) It took years before the meta on Epic became hellhorses. Mine door changes are good I don't agree with removing recall. I think it should have a long cooldown after having enemies in local (1 hour of ingame time?) that is removed when standing on a deed with no enemies in local. I've used recall a lot when escaping buggy situations. I'm alright with the meditation changes. They'll definitely need another pass though because this feels very much like a bandaid. This'll just make Path of Power become meta for the mini SotG since it'll still eliminate enchant damage. TBH, I'd prefer it if sorcery were removed entirely. I don't think it adds much to the game while just being another barrier required for entry. It was really cool when we had 0 info on it and people started acquiring items, but now it just feels like a half-baked pseudo-priest system. I'm not on board with removing champs or all priests. I don't think that the mechanics behind them are fundamentally broken, but might need to be tweaked. Champs add flavor and one of the best parts of this game was trapping and killing them. I'd very much like to see priests return to to the original 4. It definitely wasn't a perfect balance, but it's much easier to manage from a balance standpoint and it felt less cheesy than everyone converting to whatever new priest managed to win the roulette wheel of spell selection. Despite having a a lot of time put into my account, I'd love a skill reset, although that seems like it's out of play for now. Overall, I'm happy to see that changes are heading in what seem to be the right direction. I hope we see something substantial in terms of player retention.

    You can't put them in bulk storage. You should. Squares of cloth, strings, arrow heads... these are similar item. They can't be imped, so they should fit in a BSB.

    Just a small thing really, but it is so dark that I feel I am squinting my eyes a lot to see where the icon is when imping large batches of items in the forge. Maybe make it a lighter color of grey? Just a thought.

    Laptop display probably not as bright as dedicated PC monitors? I was thinking how iron lumps are a nice grey color that stands out really well. Use that same color for whetstones and we have a winner.

    I think commentary is very much part of the spirit of the thread. It's also why i'm doing it. ever look at art unexplained..has one impact..having someone along that shares either a back story or feeling about it, adds totally more to the experience. that's my thinking. yes I loved the work in that in the way i loved hannibal lecter not cause i love pscyho killers but because he was so masterful at what he did. The illustrations are so disturbingly accurate I love the genius behind the work, but scared outta me pants about the truth of it all. I get you. I think others enjoy the comments too , so don't hold back. I'll look at your link as well. keep sharing great music and great thoughts..after all music is and expression of feelings and thoughts through sound..this is what they are communicating to us..just different medium.

    I gave this a "like" but i actually hate it because it is essentially correct. You damn well should be concerned about it. though tbh such massive cultural social and economic changes are needed that there is no chance we are capable of rising to the challenge..     Yeah I wouldn't see Wurm 2015 as much different from now, graphics are a bit better now and there are a few more features. The real classic game is Wurm pre 2010. I already mentioned previously but Wurm in 2009 felt like a whole different game. So many great memories, I would love to support such a Wurm classic project programmatically and financially.

    So after Retrograde responded to my question and said that I couldn't release any server or client files, I looked for a legal way for players to get the 2015 client. Code Club keeps older WU releases up on Steam, so if you bought the game you can specify an older version to download. As long as Code Club doesn't manually go and remove the older WU versions from Steam, they will remain available for anyone who purchased WU. This functionality is typically used for compatibility reasons, for example if someone has issues running the latest version of the game, but it would also serve well as a 2015 base to mod back to a classic Wurm experience. Also because it's distributed by Steam, requires that you purchased the game on Steam, and uses the same Steam authentication as any other version of WU, it's completely within the EULA to downgrade to this version.     In that case, the old vanilla client that's compatible with my decompiled server is still available through secure download on Steam. If Code Club leaves the old versions up, then players who bought the game on Steam could get that version from Steam, and I could write regular modloader mods for that version. Meanwhile I could work directly with the server source to make changes to it more easily than writing server mods. This way I wouldn't be distributing any server/client files, but players' access to the compatible client would be completely dependent upon Code Club continuing to offer it on Steam. My concern with this scenario is that maybe someday Code Club removes the older versions of the game from Steam, and then nobody would be able to play on the server anymore. Can I get a statement on whether or not Code Club is going to leave the old versions up? If so then I can continue working toward making a really cool oldschool Wurm Unlimited server.

    - Make moving from bulk to container ignore your inventory limit. Makes 0 sense why i have to empty my inventory if i want to move 100 corn into a satchel in 1 move. Inventory item limits are dumb anyway. - Make shift+drag work on moving items from bulk container, for example if you have it set to 25, the shift+drag window will pop up with 25, then it'll open the bulk transfer window which won't have the 25 saved. - Make it say what you're too far away from. - Make bulk transfer work for moving into containers like smelters. probably some other stuff that sucks too but i cant remember them

Well at the ancient time was the moment when magic became a science, the best example was connected with fact of that Earth is round, and after that Astronomy moved on a next level, it was first created maps of stars that placed close to us Was looks like this My idea was to make Crow Kingdom like mystic kingdom, where magic going to be more important than a sword or axe. And best place for magic (by time) was moment when science was looking like magic so i wanted to marriage since which is knowledge with the mystic. Crow texture was always in my imagination something connected with Knowledge, and magic > i think i refer that from Medivh from WoW. In the end Logo, there should be hidden 2 letters C and K However, at begining, i wanted to use crow skull in the plants parade logotype but that was looks not good for me so i removed it.. will put it here

    Mailed! thank you for buying! That how wagons looks atm, but they will be changed this week logo will be with NO text! and will move down to the center of wagon texture, at the top will be leather and at the bottom - as well, the texture will be sharped and i added more light to it course at night it's a too dark color. At back was added crow skull on a chain, and changed a little shape of feathers border. Also fixed few details inside, but.. well you will see Possible to check at D10-D11 Pristine Pirates Den (any time)

    You just need to have a server that is reset yearly, new map and skill wipes and content updates will keep it fresh. If people know they can jump into a PvP server with little to no risk they’ll do it and you’ll even have people who are strictly freedomers try it. I feel like the challenge server went fantastically and you hear that brought up constantly. What keeps a Challenge like server from happening? Too much work? Not enough resources? Please enlighten someone like me who has spent thousands of hours of playing and invested countless dollars just into premium and store bought silver who is waiting for a new alternative of pvp besides a map reset on a server where characters are stronger then NPC dragons.

    I think the aim would be to Bring players into PVP sooner but give them a reason to grind to make their Account better once they get the taste and not die in 3 seconds instead of it being a Grind for 3 - 6 months just so you can JOIN pvp. Meditation path was a big one, that was a set time to join. Weapon skills imo should go untouched. Body stats are fine as they are. I mean if I'm on Mclovin and I come across Dadd, I want to scream in discord HELP HELP DADD IN LOCAL THAT ACC STRONG AS HELL, not, Oh dadd in local I can take that cause everything is the same. I want to be scared of different names because of their stats, let's not even think about personal skill at this point. And If I take down Dadd on Mclovin? Biggggggg memes dude, big memes. You don't just remove point to grind but you remove satisfaction of a kill. I've killed people and felt no satisfaction, cause i knew their accounts were average, but I've killed accounts that i shouldn't be killing and it's just made my month, really don't want to lose that feeling. It's just the items and certain Requirements outside of it..Like hell horses are a MUST. if you're a newb on a regular horse, you can't out run, you're not gonna out damage, your horse will 100% go down cause it's regular vs hh, that makes it a STRONG requirement. Tomes, strong requirements. MM, strong requirements. Like remove things or tweak things like this - Why not give everybody the hell horses but keep the taming, why not remove all HH and just have everybody ride regular? It does a lot for us vets too, things Slow down, hh are just too fast, too strong. I'd have us all walking tbh, i think that really helps the "gap" because strong will help the weak with mobs, travling, etc.. But yeah I'm with you on the stats, i want to grind to get certain things over others. Not this MM cash market or tome cash market. I don't want to have Requirements like HH which newer players just can't obtain without joining the big bois, cause of Animal Husbandry, Control, Taming. So im rambling but thats my view

    Will the 1hr cooldowns mean the spells can't be dispelled anymore or does it mean you spend karma to put a spell on so jimmy with wurm assistant and a special beep for continuum have you dispelled in seconds so you can try again in 1hr? True strike can also just be made into something else, just make it give some offensive cr boost with a defensive cr penalty, basically a berserker buff with a penalty that lasts the usual spell length and can be dispelled but probably not a 1hr cooldown. I dunno I get the feeling that the listed changes are a very quick cobbled together bandaid put together by a volunteer that was allowed to take charge otherwise we would see nothing at all. I don't mean to cause issues but it's clear that a lot hasn't really been thought out, for example nodrop stuff like sleep powder or removing sotg but not elemental immunity or flat out removing recall home when it can just have a lengthy cooldown added from when enemy were in local so its still a useful utility, but I'm also aware that taking time to iron everything out is time that just delays stuff further if there aren't more people on the team that actually care/will dedicate some time to it. I agree that elevation needs a new map even if it's just temporary, but I don't like all the proposed changes so without a separate vote for map and changes each I don't know how to vote so I probably won't vote at all especially since a shorterm bandaid doesn't make me want to play again, and just sit back and wait to see if something long term sparks interest. It still makes me feel too much like epic is the test cluster with the cobbled together changes and temporary updates, which while it might bring back some players for now or retain some for a little bit longer, it relies too heavily on there being further dedication to epic before everyone leaves

    I am not banning anyone for macroing, no. But I was told by another server owner that there are mods that give players control of the server and that they can intentionally corrupt the data. I had never heard of this but I clarified that this wouldn't be allowed. Edit: I removed this from the post to calm down people like you. "I don't think anybody in their right mind would play on..." This server was never for people like you, so kindly refrain from attacking other people's more hardcore preferences. I *was* happily playing with 1,000 minimum mining hits until I discovered it was actually much more than 1.000 due to, I guess, 1,000 being too high a number for that setting to work as expected. Seeing as I am paying for the server and I was enjoying it, I am not sure why you feel the need to comment. I will also say that there aren't "other issues with the map". There was literally one issue that was inherent to the map, not enough clay. Manually adding clay is frustrating but not as absurd as it sounds as it is a small map with a lot of water and it is preferable to redoing the map.

    The plan is for everyone to go in blind on launch day for several weeks before any map dump is released, the map is pretty standard single island layout I have no doubt people will enjoy this map much more than old elevation with it being only a 2k single island again.

    About 6-8 months ago I was one of the biggest cheerleaders for this game. I mean if you look at my post count vs my time playing the game, you'd see how much time I've devoted to this game and the forums. But I have first hand felt the bite of the rapid decline of this game. Its been half a year since PVP had any significant updates, and even longer since there was a groundbreaking system introduced (no, battlecamps is not a groundbreaking system, pvp is dead). This is the first time since I started the game that I have considered cashing out. I just finished a massive project on Independence and realized that there is no point. Most of my friends have quit, there is literally no future in the horizon on the PVP servers, and the PVE lands are desolate everywehere you go. Case in point: That's a whole cluster. Out of those 7 people, Arakiel and myself make 2. That means there's 5 other people split between four servers. That's a ratio of about 1 person per server. But given the likely scenario that most of those are one guy in serenity with his alts, we're talking about 4 servers with maybe 3-4 real players playing on them. ??? How is this NOT a problem? No significant updates. No roadmap. No announced projects soon to be released. No players to play the game with. No real pvp of any substance. We are up in the air and nothing is happening. That's why some people are up in arms. The writing is in the wall and it says...

    Should be able to. She says she can. It's a bit weird because she left the village when she formed her own but she continued to care for it. She says she can zero in. We suspect it's at the peak of a mountain but we are going to go around it and see. Ayuna has already died at least twice trying to find Rageed. She felt down the cliff this last time so I decided to make a humor post about it because it's made my day. People like Ayuna put a smile on our faces. Her persistence is incredible
