    I understand the call for skill resets, so that it would be a clean slate for everyone on Epic, it'd also require the end of Freedom to Epic skills transfer mechanics, and possibly another round of skill transfers from Epic to Freedom, for those who didn't wish to continue on Epic, or wished to preserve their skills for Freedom, while accepting an Epic wipe. From the beginning the Home servers have been a contentious issue, not just between the opposing Kingdoms, but between the Kingdoms themselves on Home and Elevation servers, but removing them from Epic is not the answer, in truth, without the home servers there is no difference essentially between Elevation and Chaos other than the small differences in mechanics, and the connection to Freedom Isles, the Home servers are one of the major factors that made Epic so different and attractive for me personally, a view shared by many of those who spent years playing almost exclusively on them. I also understand the importance that the PvP community places on Elevation, it's a PvP cluster after all, but that emphasis on 'pure' PvP need not be at the expense of those players who value Wurm not just for one aspect of it's play. So by all means, wipe the home servers in the quest for a 'pure' PvP server, and accept that it will diminish much of Epic's unique character and style, or return things like ore caps to lead Home server players to Elevation, rather than force players into a 'our way or the highway' approach which will lead to many like me, soft-PvP players, to abandon the cluster altogether, few though we are, at present Home server players far outnumber Elevation players, and for myself, I'd rather retreat permanently to Freedom than be forced to play on Elevation for the sake of 'purity' and PvP ethos. A smaller Elevation has a lot of potential to revitalise Epic, at least in the short term, while the Dev team work on other aspects of PvP, I am supportive of change where Epic is concerned, frankly, it's never been more in need of a refreshing of interest, the Elevation map is to large for the population it served, and even a 1K map would serve the population of Epic at present, so a 2K map will certainly suffice for what will initially be a rise in population, ( it's keeping the population that has been the issue), and if followed by a rework of PvP mechanics that can keep momentum going, I see no reason why a full reset of Elevation would not be a success. For Elevation at least. We'll always have a disparity between 'top tier' accounts and new players, new players not only have to settle in, learn the game and survive, but also learn to take defeat from enemies they cannot hope to best , in some cases it may take months, or years to reach the stage where they can function effectively against old, veteran PvP players, I don't believe there are any shortcuts to that process, even full skill resets won't prevent experienced players outskilling and bounding ahead of the new players, since veteran PvP players know how to build a PvP character far more effectively than the average Wurmian, (I include myself in the average category), we saw this when Epic first began, with everyone starting from scratch and within a few short weeks the veterans outstripped the inexperienced and that gap. if anything, widened over the ensuing years, so skill resets will be ineffective or counter productive in equalling the playing field for old and new players. Most of the other tweaks are squarely aimed at experienced top tier players anyway, I don't bother much with hellies, never seen a tome, and never took advantage of the higher levels of meditation, while they may be welcomed by PvP players who are a bit bored and feel the need for a level playing field in top tier, they don't have much effect on average players like me, I welcome those changes for what they are, but if there were to be a skill reset, those changes would be unnecessary for a long time. Anyway, we'll see what we get I suppose, just had to put in a comment explaining my vote in favour of change, and slap the inevitable 'delete home servers' crowd with an alternative viewpoint.

    Anything moderators do is logged. Once an issue comes up I can review it precisely and take care of it. But yet I have never received any kind of complaint or pm about something (from the top of my head) that needed any investigation. So please: If there is an issue talk to me. I can not review issues if they're not brought to me. If you feel treated wrong or if you think there is some kind of censorship going on then just pm me about it. I can see anything that happens on discord when it comes to deletion of message and bans. I do not want anyone to feel like staff is filtering out conversations for any reason. I do not tolerate such behavior by staff and it has not been an issue thus far. You can contact me 24/7 on discord or here on the forums and I'm more Than happy to listen to you and take care of any issues that may rise. I am currently at work and only have the mobile way to post here so please bear with any mistakes I made.

    Anyone getting moderation actions against them in the Wurm Discord server are getting moderated because they are breaking server rules. Moderation is also logged, so there isn't a case of anything being "covered up" and all moderation can be reviewed if needed. If you have an issue with something a moderator has done, you can PM Capi about it directly so the situation can be resolved. You can also file a ticket using the support system we have set up. For what it's worth: Getting permanently banned from the official Wurm Online Discord server is difficult. It's the last step in a series of escalating punishments, and generally requires a series of flagrant rule violations. To reiterate: Discord moderation cases are always logged by staff and can be reviewed as necessary. If you have an issue with an action taken by the Discord moderation staff, it can be reviewed, provided you use the proper methods to inform us of this.

    Leaving aside the semi-toxic Us Vs Them attitude that was part of daily life in JKH-JKE for so long, I always hoped that the Valrei mission system would give Home server players and Elevation players an incentive to work together, and, in fact, I often participated in missions with that in mind, helping JKE achieve it's Valrei goals, rather than hoping for personal rewards on Serenity. Some similar mechanism that rewarded both, and contributed to the 'war effort' should be beneficial to both Home and Elevation. The initial set up of Epic, with the ore caps 'to encourage trading and movement between servers' simply didn't work, because like it or not, the Home server population mostly wanted PVE+, rather than PvP light, Serenity felt darker and more dangerous than the sunny glades of Freedom, and us Home players appreciated this. As Eobersig has hinted, there was, for whatever reason, an attitude that Home server players were inferior, we were Freedumbers, even to our own Kingdom on Elevation, and some people took that personally, on both sides. So any means of increasing cooperation between Home and Elevation that does not make either 'side' feel they are being used or forced into a particular role would be greatly welcomed be me personally, we all play Wurm for our own reasons, we all have our own preferences, and our own style, none of us should feel forced by other players to conform to an ideal that we don't enjoy. After all, Wurm is a game, if we're not enjoying the experience, then why are we bothering? And I'm totally not getting into the reasons why the JKH-JKE schism began, or why it affected almost all of my time on Epic, suffice to say, there was fault on both sides, and a lot of intolerance for different styles of play, because the game itself fostered a sense of difference between Elevation and Home, the Ore cap was just one of the examples of how the game forced JK apart, rather than bringing it together, by creating a sense of envy and frustration in getting materials to advance crafting skills. If Home servers are thought of as superfluous then we need to ask how we can make them relevant to the entire Epic game, rather than throw the baby out with the bathwater.

    Maybe deity, that wins a scenario, should also boost it's kingdom on Elevation in some way? Some sort of combat bonuses, small speed bonus for boats etc.? Many possibilities. This way, people doing missions on home servers, could help those on Elevation, while earning karma/sleep bonus/rewards anyway. Could be even done, that each particular mission completion give some bonus for Ele. This way even if scenario looks bad for one side (looks like no chances to win), players could still "buff" their kingdom on Ele.

    Why would any player on a home server want to do that? Players play a game because they like it, not because they are meant to act as serfs for other players on another server. From when I played on Serenity I cannot follow your reasoning: - Many players on home servers do not want to be integrated into whatever happens on Elevation. To them integration is a bad thing. - Many players on home servers do not want more combat ops - if they wanted that they would not be on a home server. I think we really need to get away from the idea that home servers are some sort of colonial islands, only there to provide players on Elevation with resources, gear and fresh victims. Like I wrote in another post: to the best of my knowledge the home servers have always seen more population than Elevation ever has. Yet, over the years, people have always come up with ideas how to reduce the numbers of players there.

    Hello. In order to prevent people creating PMKs just for money, could we introduce a system where the PMK gear (wagons, banners etc) unlock after reaching 1% influence? Wagons and banners are the main source of kingdoms funds, and their price is high because the money is needed for the deed upkeeps, expanding the kingdom, and other unexpected expenses. PMKs created purely for monetary gain are descreasing the value of other PMK's gear and destroys Chaos reputation. Thanks a lot.

    Always found it odd that blue dye is so insane to get made. red - cochinaels are easy to come by and everyone skills butchering green - just mine it, easy white - just mine it, easy black - we can harvest acorns now but....blue - You have to scramble around botanising for ages, rarely getting woad, getting lots of random other junk and the chance its good QL is reaallllly slim. Couldn't we allow Woad to be put in planters and use similar code to herbs? Edit for important information - You can no longer botanise high QL woad without the skill. It is literally capped with your skill since 1.3. If you ever want to be able to make 90QL blue dye you need to find a person with 90+ botanising. Does anyone in the whole game have that!? Feb 9th Edit - Today the devs decided that Forestry, Milking and Botanising being actually slightly reasonable to grind for the first time in 10 years needed nerfing, so now it's even harder to get woad.

    players on the home servers have to care to give Corn in the first place, because they couldn't be be arsed to come over and fight when capitals needed it, theres a long history there but it comes down to home servers only wanting to drop a deed and live on a slightly more dangerous pvp server, if enemy came along they'd literally log off, so why do we think they'd risk their skills sailing to Elevation to give people they don't care for, a bonus? I think you'd have to create an incentive for the Home server to do it in the first place that rewards THEM personally. Karma, sleep bonus, who knows. But defo would work with a Give something Get something mentality.

    Never thought of players as serfs before so not my intention. Truth is that players will do what they want regardless of designer intent however the design could include elements that would allow home servers to play a role in the fight too. Of course this means there has to be some reward element included for home server people so that there is something in it for them as well. I recall reading Rolf's original vision for the game. I remember it being like a life journal or career log where the player goes through progression from personal skill growth, to village life to eventually joining the kingdom combat and then eventually retiring back to the home servers after a successful war career. This idea is meant to extend on that vision, realize it to some degree and somewhat bridge the gulf that currently exists between hard core elevation and sandbox home servers.

    One of the issues I always had with the new additions of colored horses, is once you had one horse of a certain skin pattern you could breed it and have a near infinite amount of them. Pretty soon the market is flooded with them. It would be kind of cool if there were rare skin types. For example, there's a certain color of horse that happens randomly at birth and cannot be spread to offspring. Just a rare, different color horse. Nothing else special about the horse, it would still acquire the parents traits for specialties. Just to create some market traction in the breeding area and to give some love to those breeders jealous of the crafts having their rarities.

    By power from lowest: 1) Spawn of Uttacha - not so big dmg if fight 1x1, I'm pretty sure they easy to kill with the low-end account, especially with they speed, I can remember that they are very easy to be killed with a bow. But most danger beasts vs horses. but if count all uttachas who spread like Hydra, then I'd give them Number 3 here. the whole creature have 1 main body, then 2 medium and then each of medium has 2 small (dmg and health all have the same, so don't believe to size) a better way to kill is to push 1 line. if you will kill 2 medium at one time you will have 4 opponents at the same time which will cause bad time for your horse. Also, when Uttacha casts acid, - possible to go out of range of dmg, anyway at this time creature is invulnerable so better to w8 till it finishes and heals itself. Acid/poisons attack so will make bigger dmg vs leather. 2) Deathcrawler minion - a bit stronger 1x1 then uttacha, only if not count rest 6 spawns of it. but have not too much hp doesn't damage too much horses, so id says that it's the best opponent. to gain seryll / valrei item. I also get twice > potions (leatherworking and ropemaking) Acid / poisons attack so will make bigger dmg vs leather. 3) Sol Demon - Seems like have more HP then Deathcrawler, almost don't harm horses, make burns attack so guys who using cloth armor need to be care. 4) Eagle Spirit - This guy was bosses of our program, id says that they most annoying have average dmg, but they very tanky, I never get hit by they wind attacks, but had some cut dmg, so studded and cloth - not better choice here. Also at the moment when eagle has 50% of health he spread on 4 eagles which is illusions, they still make dmg trough.. id' recommend to use the shield and 1h weapon as you need to hit 1-2 times each of 'illusions' to kill them till you don't find the correct one. ====================== 5) Drake spirit - I didn't met them (thank god) here on this test drive i can remember they make internal wounds randomly, sometimes 3 times in line... which cause a lot of dmg, and also they very tanky. As i can remember they have price dmg, so leather armor aint good choice. 6) Son of Nogump - very strong guys, have mauling attacks, and per time to time casts stun that makes a big amount of internal dmg, id recommends to avoid these guys, they also move extremely fast. The wearing plate would be suicide.

    You need 2% for titles to work, 1% on PMK gear is reasonable. Don't think many fledgling kingdoms worry about flags and wagons before they get a foothold. Literally just a cash grab, kinda gross.

    Im sorry but you don't get to play the victim here. I tell you who the victim is : it's the REAL kingdoms on chaos. The ones who go out, do stuff, the ones with an actual playerbase, not a bunch of alts. Wanna know why it hurts them? It's because freedomers will only buy so many things, and PVP'ing is a really expensive business in this game. By adding a bunch of wagons in the market without any risk whatsoever to your well being you effectively take away fighting opportunities... PVP is expensive , this is why : 1. We buy res'stones almost every single week. They are 5 silvers each, you cannot buy them from other players, or through trade, they are 5 silvers and that is it. 2. When you drain a kingdom on Chaos, you gain half of the money drained, the other half goes *POOF* . It's basically gone. So if you drain 37.5 copper, the deed loses 75 copper. 3. We need templars on every single deed unlike freedomers. We need them to inform us of enemies treading on our lands. If every guy on freedom just came up and made a kingdom of alts, even if we all got together and disbanded each and every one of those kingdoms as fast as humanly possible ( Even if they make more money than we would be able to effectively drain ) there would be no more design market. It would disappear entirely. So yeah, thank you Mr Victim for outlying such a "glitch in the matrix" so to say. This is something that needs fixed. Get your share as long as you still can. I hope you're happy with it.

    +1, we just had a pmk created with 2s alts, and the "King" ordered a lot of unfinished wagons on freedom just to profit from it. Maybe the players needed to create a PMK should also have a skill requirement like 50 fighting or something, that could solve half of the problem.

    +1 I'll also add, it takes no effort to make unfinished wagons missing a nail on freedom, stuffing them into a raft and attaching the last nail on a remote location far away from the remote possibility of danger once on Chaos.

    If you are going to keep the other servers connected. i suggest maybe travel via server boarder be disabled for around 1-3 months? to stop everyone from having everything ready in knarrs etc to bring over and insta build deeds in 1 day. only have portal travel allowed through home server deeds enabled?

    Mental illness is a topic not many talk about. There’s a definite taboo surrounding it, on top of the general fact that most people don’t know how to handle it on either side of the equation. I’ve been on both sides of the equation, and I know it’s difficult. What do you say to someone who comes to you and admits they want to harm themselves? What do you do when you feel the need to talk to someone but are too afraid people will leave? So I am deciding to share some of my story here. To encourage people to listen if asked to listen, and to seek help if they feel they need to. Asking for help is okay! Admitting that there’s a problem is the first and hardest step. Supporting your friends who have admitted that there’s a problem is key in helping them become better. I’d like to start with an apology. Over the years, I have come off rather rude at times and I’ve even picked fights with members of this community. I fully accept responsibility for this, and one important thing for me is to never blame my actions on something else. They are mine. I came to a point in life where I was depressed, and as such, I took it out on others. I sought help for the depression, but nothing seemed to work. Soon other symptoms piled up, including a crippling anxiety and even some mania. The depression made it hard for me to do anything, including keep up with my duties here. The anxiety stopped me from doing even the simplest things, such as grocery shopping. The mania ranged from being my most productive times, all the way to a hypomania state where I was a danger to myself and others. I didn’t remember much about my hypomania moments. The rest made life difficult, leading me to feel some unpleasant things. I wouldn’t say I was close to “ending it all”, indeed I had been closer in my earlier life. I simply didn’t want to exist. Thankfully that began to change in 2017. I finally made the call to seek help, and I was first diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. Well, the depression medication worked some, and the anxiety medication helped reduce the panic attacks. I decided to do something crazy though, and I went to a convention for the first time in my life. The entire weekend was amazing, even though I was shaking most of it. I put myself through the ringer, under medication and with my therapist on call, and I came out alive. Unfortunately things only improved so much. In 2018 I ended up improving my living situation, but I still found myself crippled with depression. Worse, the mania and hypomania was increasing. I had no idea what this was, but I welcomed the mania. Who needs sleep when I was getting so much done! I ended up working over 100 hours a week at my previous job a few times. Great, I guess? I finally made another call to admit that things weren’t going as good as I had been indicating. Yes, it was silly of me to lie to my therapist and psychiatrist, but I don’t like change. I started recounting how I only felt good when I was busy with work. I mentioned sleep was a problem, but I figured it was the caffeine I was drinking. Then a memory hit me of just a day ago when I “went crazy” in my car and tried to see if I could take a corner at a high rate of speed. I’m usually reserved and safe, but I remember feeling god-like. I could do anything. I was invincible. Well, that lead into a string of memories that were all very similar and I started unraveling the hypomanic states where I not only did reckless things that could’ve hurt myself, but times when I nearly hurt others as well. I was re-diagnosed as bipolar and needless to say I was not well for a week or two. The guilt of what I had done in the past weighted heavily, and still does. I’m doing a lot better now, though not perfect. I need to make that call yet again, and I will. I at least know what I’m up against now. I’m not saying I’ll be perfect. I may still have my moments, but I’ve been making an effort to remember and apologize when I do. I’m really not a mean or angry person at heart. While I can endure criticism and “hate”, under it all I love this game and what I do. That about sums up my story. Remember that it is okay to ask for help, and it is okay to not know how to help one who asks. Be supportive and if you find yourself in that weird position of not knowing how to help your friend, recommend they seek help. We can’t always fix ourselves without help. I hope this story helps some, either with their own troubles or in understanding “what the hell is wrong with Keenan”. I’m not asking forgiveness of those I’ve offended, but I do hope this explains things a bit. I wish you all well.

Throughout history, people have dyed their textiles using common, locally available materials, but scarce dyestuffs that produced brilliant and permanent colors such as the natural invertebrate dyes, Tyrian purple and crimson kermes, became highly prized luxury items in the ancient and medieval world. Plant-based dyes such as woad (Isatis tinctoria), indigo, saffron, and madder were raised commercially and were important trade goods in the economies of Asia and Europe. I have never felt that Wurm "needed" to be purely Medieval European in its "lore" but it's true that seems the basis of most Wurm crops etc. I have made a pitch before for alternate coloring ingame including using mushrooms as a natural dye One thing we all agree on though, Wurm dyes and coloring need more love!
