Serious offers probably need a serious thread with serious information? Like skill dumps with actual values rather than rough numbers, I'm not convinced this is a serious sale.

Yes this is another suggestion post about uniques. MAKE UNIQUES NOT ABLE TO BE PENNED ! its in their name "UNIQUE" they should be unique mobs that spawn randomly. They should not be able to be penned, they should not have a message announcing that they have spawned pop up and they should have what determines where they spawn looked at because at the moments they follow a very high trend (Forest regions base of mountains). Killing this should be require effort and teamwork. Finding them should be either random or you go out and look for them on your own not because of a server message. Also removing the ability to pen them makes it so groups can do planned events, you found it you have to get a group there to kill it then or hope you can find it again when you have a group. Removing the message will prevent all this hard hunt for them, it would make it a more local server event. Where players in that server found it and get it together to kill it or they can call friends to come help and such. Should help reduce all the drama and all the stupid nonsense rush of unique hunting groups swarming server when they see one spawned. It should be challenging, demanding and require effort to kill uniques not some easy walk target because you penned it so now it’s in a controllable environment. discuss below, keep the tears to angels thread kthx. Tldr for the dumb dumbs who need things black and white : -make uniques not be able to be penned -remove server message/twitter/every where else it’s announced that they spawned

not every single place has a mailbox, if im grinding mining in a random mine i found gold in im not gonna suddenly stop and ride 10+ minutes to pick up something i cant use to grind mining. just as you have limited playtime, so may others who dont want to waste it going to a mailbox. just send them a pm "hey did you get the item" and stop being passive aggressive on forums

Keep this thread on track if you want for it to remain open. Discussions about topics like this are perfectly fine, that's what this board is there for, but do not use somebody's legitimate question to bully them or people who are in agreement or disagreement with them. Keep it civil, and on topic. Everyone has the right to ask questions, and everyone has the right to give their opinion, but keep it worded in an appropriate way and leave personal insults and issues out of it.

70 prayer for a high level priest goal is not that hard.. go to epic and you can do it in a matter of weeks... As long as it's something you can grind to achieve I really have no problem with it even if it would be 99 prayer.. but that 'rite' spell is just silly because that's something you can't achieve by yourself.. even if you go nuts and pray all day with alts there is the chance that somebody else "steals" your work.. I would really love to see that one changed.. Edit: Plus i get that these are not supposed to be goals that you can finish in a couple of days.. and I totally agree with that.. they are supposed to be hard so it's something that you can work towards casually every time you log in..

These two descriptions are interesting, but in no way are enough for anyone to make a real offer. You have to give skill dumps or use Niarja to show us what your characters really have to offer. The 100 faith is nice, but not a huge selling point, since getting into a sermon group isn't hard. You need to do a little work to make a good sale. If you don't and sell based on what you posted above, your offers will come in lower than what it is all worth. Based on the limited details I see, I could offer around 500 euros for all of it. If the accounts are as good as you are hinting, the bundle might be worth as much as 2000 euros or more. But who is willing to take that kind of risk with no detail? Sorry for your bad experiences and decision to leave. Sometimes we just need to vent on forums and take a few weeks off, then get right back to playing again. Never sell when mad about the game, because it makes you sell cheaply and lose a lot of money.

I really like the idea of having a way of a person sending something to have a way of tracking that - what item is sent to who and how long it has been outstanding. and potentially the ability to recall for longer. This would also help solve accidentally mailing something to the wrong player due to spelling errors etc. Honestly I'm a cronic bad buyer, I don't have enough time in IRL to devote anywhere as much time to Wurm as I'd like and im very likely to get caught up and forget about something relitively minor - such as a small purchase on Wurm. It's very easy for me to log out from Wurm and sometimes find myself not able to log back in until the following week sometimes. This is something I am sorry for but also something that is unlikely to change unfortunately. I'd imagine I'm not the only one in a similar boat in this respect. Sellers also need to consider their buyers aswell, everyone's playtime and ability to relate with the game is different. So that's my two cents, +1 to more control and information for mailers and -1 to name and shame type stuff because it's calling out behaviour that is exceptionally unlikely to malicious.

It dosen't take but a small bit of common sense and knowledge of human behavior to realize that this will have the exact opposite effect of what you state. There are a fair number of players who don't like others for their own peculiar reasons (mentally unstable? bullies?) who would take this as an opportunity to grief others. This suggestion is just so outright foolish (to refrain from more appropriate insulting words) that I can't believe anyone could endorse it for having the remotest minuscule chance of any positive effect. Maybe right now you are itching for the possibility of this "Purge" to happen so that you could come and attempt to ruin my deed and kill my character because I have criticized your "brilliant" idea. This "fear" that you wish to impose upon others due to whatever your problems are needs to be addressed outside the game with some professional help, I think. Until then, dream on of your terrible powerful vengeance that you will inflict upon others in an attempt to ruin their game experience to live a peaceful existence. The problem with hold a rite is that it takes the entire community to meet the requirements, and then one person to reap the reward while everyone else wanting to complete it has to wait

+1 Would also be nice to use in mines as well, especially if we could "toss" them to the top or bottom of a drop shaft, be able to work on them, or access normally impractical to reach areas ^^

There is nothing wrong with the Rite spell goal also, organize and get it done. Besides, all of your prayers to get to 70 prayer will contribute and should increase the frequency of opportunities to cast rites. Again where is the problem? If you are libila you are going to have to suck it up and go to a pvp server to cast your rite spell or you could swap faiths. Pick your poison. I know its easier to cry here about how hard things are but the determined among us will find a way to get it done, we always do. How important is +5 cast power, on every spell forever, to you?

I absolutely agree with this. But honestly, the rite is really the big issue with that journal tier. At the time where a lot of people are at each others throats about uniques and how they work, we're essentially locking a journal reward behind doing a rite. How long until groups form in order to do the rite? How long until they do it purely for their own gain? How long until people start throwing accusations about people doing it themselves over and over, to lock that powerful reward so others can't recieve it. +5 cast power is a crazy, crazy good reward but that directly makes an impact on the economy of preists and casting. It's only a matter of time before people get suspicious.

Probably the same thing that happened to my rare shovel the other day... Fighting 8 mobs at once. Right clicked a mob to target>attack, but instead accidentally chose throw>at enemy. My activated rare shovel was thrown at the mob, which then embedded into the mob's inventory. Without noticing all of that, I buchered all 8 mobs and immediately "bury all" of the corpses (with another shovel I had on my hotbar). There went my shovel, with no event message indicating where it went.

The way bans are handled is atrocious, picking characters selectively who had nothing to do with any issues at all, and player not even logged in at the time - and then there is the silencing of those who complain about it, like I probably will be now (again)..

I always had great experience how my tickets were handled. Fast and effective, where the issue was hard to (or took long time to) fix I've always been kept updated without any nagging needed from my side. If the resolution was not in my favour I always had proper explanation why. Can only thank the GM team to sacrifice your playtime to keep Wurm on track.

Mental illness is a topic not many talk about. There’s a definite taboo surrounding it, on top of the general fact that most people don’t know how to handle it on either side of the equation. I’ve been on both sides of the equation, and I know it’s difficult. What do you say to someone who comes to you and admits they want to harm themselves? What do you do when you feel the need to talk to someone but are too afraid people will leave? So I am deciding to share some of my story here. To encourage people to listen if asked to listen, and to seek help if they feel they need to. Asking for help is okay! Admitting that there’s a problem is the first and hardest step. Supporting your friends who have admitted that there’s a problem is key in helping them become better. I’d like to start with an apology. Over the years, I have come off rather rude at times and I’ve even picked fights with members of this community. I fully accept responsibility for this, and one important thing for me is to never blame my actions on something else. They are mine. I came to a point in life where I was depressed, and as such, I took it out on others. I sought help for the depression, but nothing seemed to work. Soon other symptoms piled up, including a crippling anxiety and even some mania. The depression made it hard for me to do anything, including keep up with my duties here. The anxiety stopped me from doing even the simplest things, such as grocery shopping. The mania ranged from being my most productive times, all the way to a hypomania state where I was a danger to myself and others. I didn’t remember much about my hypomania moments. The rest made life difficult, leading me to feel some unpleasant things. I wouldn’t say I was close to “ending it all”, indeed I had been closer in my earlier life. I simply didn’t want to exist. Thankfully that began to change in 2017. I finally made the call to seek help, and I was first diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. Well, the depression medication worked some, and the anxiety medication helped reduce the panic attacks. I decided to do something crazy though, and I went to a convention for the first time in my life. The entire weekend was amazing, even though I was shaking most of it. I put myself through the ringer, under medication and with my therapist on call, and I came out alive. Unfortunately things only improved so much. In 2018 I ended up improving my living situation, but I still found myself crippled with depression. Worse, the mania and hypomania was increasing. I had no idea what this was, but I welcomed the mania. Who needs sleep when I was getting so much done! I ended up working over 100 hours a week at my previous job a few times. Great, I guess? I finally made another call to admit that things weren’t going as good as I had been indicating. Yes, it was silly of me to lie to my therapist and psychiatrist, but I don’t like change. I started recounting how I only felt good when I was busy with work. I mentioned sleep was a problem, but I figured it was the caffeine I was drinking. Then a memory hit me of just a day ago when I “went crazy” in my car and tried to see if I could take a corner at a high rate of speed. I’m usually reserved and safe, but I remember feeling god-like. I could do anything. I was invincible. Well, that lead into a string of memories that were all very similar and I started unraveling the hypomanic states where I not only did reckless things that could’ve hurt myself, but times when I nearly hurt others as well. I was re-diagnosed as bipolar and needless to say I was not well for a week or two. The guilt of what I had done in the past weighted heavily, and still does. I’m doing a lot better now, though not perfect. I need to make that call yet again, and I will. I at least know what I’m up against now. I’m not saying I’ll be perfect. I may still have my moments, but I’ve been making an effort to remember and apologize when I do. I’m really not a mean or angry person at heart. While I can endure criticism and “hate”, under it all I love this game and what I do. That about sums up my story. Remember that it is okay to ask for help, and it is okay to not know how to help one who asks. Be supportive and if you find yourself in that weird position of not knowing how to help your friend, recommend they seek help. We can’t always fix ourselves without help. I hope this story helps some, either with their own troubles or in understanding “what the hell is wrong with Keenan”. I’m not asking forgiveness of those I’ve offended, but I do hope this explains things a bit. I wish you all well.

Did I miss the memo stating that the journal goals were to be completed in a day or two? So what if it takes you 4 months and may or may not be inconvenient. No one is forcing you to do anything in wurm, if you want something special you might have to make sacrifices and/or spend a lot of time to get it, this isnt new. There is way too much whining about how the game should be just right for "me" and not enough playing the damn game. Can we please stop crying that the game is too hard?

So instead, they'll act like little bitches on said day/weekend and then hold a grudge until the next one to enact vengeance. I'm not sure I see this thing panning out the way you do. I guess it works out better on full-time PVP servers because potential consequences are omnipresent. With the proposed system, I see people nolifing through the weekend and doing all sorts of shenanigans, knowing they go scot free after that for several months. Tell you what, you don't want "bitchy behaviour"? Include a declaration of war against an offending deed prior to the event. No free for all crap, you have a serious problem with someone, you ought to let them know well ahead of time and only then you can attack them during this event. No petty midnight raids and cowardly undercover attacks on deeds while someone is offline. If they're offline, you can't do anything to the deed either. At best you can prevent them from playing this way for a whole weekend if they don't want to face the conflict, which is an inconvenience that'll get the message across equally.

most guys at my sermons got 100 completed...none of my priests got it completed yet hehe, none of them complained tip and tricks...you need only 1 listener to hv it couneted for your journal, and mostly priests are alts, so if you got a priest alt its not a big deal to do it daily isnt it?

I agree, we need some clear defined rules about this kind of thing to help stop it from continually being an issue, or to let us know how we are going to handle things like this in the future. All we are asking for is clear rules to follow. and I quote “Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.” ?

After a time of surveillance we have busted a ring of macroers who produce bulkable goods for the market through automated means. i have a 20 slope bridge ended up with mountain. on mountaing there is a building with a gates in front of the bridge. it looks like this: The large cart can't pass through that gates. with a help of @Njorun we found out, that if the floor is destroyed - the cart can pass, when we have a floor - it can't. it looks like there is a very specific glitch, when you're crossing the edge beetwen a bridge and a building with a floor. maybe because of the gates, or because of 20 slope, or existing floor, or alltogether. another thing, when cart is stuck at that position and i'm disembarking from it - i'm falling through the bridge. atm problem is solved by removing the floor, but ughm. not the best solution obviously.

Just what title says, when your ally has 30-40, or more villages, it's inevitable you may not see everyone and may need reminding who is a mayor at times. It would be immensely useful to see mayor names next to villages in the settlement politics window.

It should show a "java coffee cup icon" rather than an "explorer" icon. Right click the wurmclient.jnlp file and make sure it is set to "OPEN WITH..." the Java Web Start Launcher, like this:

Chaos JK/MR Template Alts There are no more template Jenn-Kellon and template Mol-Rehan avatars who were not converted to Freedom Isles on Chaos! The situation regarding this has been randomly abused to small degrees by a few people to make some legacy template gear for personal reasons or market sales, but at this time most of the gear I have checked out is a mix of old and new. We are not concerned about any legacy items you may have in this matter, (unless of course you have an inordinate amount!) but there is no way to convert to template anymore to abuse this now that all old template avatars that never logged back in are ALL now Freedom Isles. I was a forum moderator (and CA) before becoming a dev, so I'm not sure I count as a normal player per sé, but being a dev has actually made me enjoy the game more. Digging around in the code, I found some really silly easter eggs, which I then had to try, and seeing how people use or experience bits I've created is fantastic. Also, most of the small changes I've made were things that really annoyed me as a player (and I still have a list of those I haven't gotten to). I do occasionally hit something, and wonder how it really works, and have to go digging in the code to figure it out. But being able to really test stuff as a player is hugely helpful - a bunch of stuff in the cooking update got changed before launch because although it seemed like a good idea in theory, once we actually tried using it (without using GM spawns, etc), it just didn't work. The challenge as a dev is to avoid implementing in such a way that only fits my personal play style. But I do feel the pain of not enough documentation (this was my main complaint before joining staff), so I do try to make sure stuff is usefully documented. Eventually.

I'd probably consider playing again if we had a new map. Chaos is old and stale, Elevation is just plain bad.

If it didn't have a red outline and you're on Path of Insanity it could also have been a projection of a dragon.... they do that, just appear in front of you.

To those who have interacted with the 'Babelfishie' avatars, I would like to clear up some misconceptions. We have a nearly ten year history with this person via a bunch of other avatar names, and none of it has been pleasant. We know him more prominently as Boston and this person has a solid history of violating our chat rules, game rules, and has committed many abuses towards our community. I have received a number of 'appeals' regarding his permaban on his behalf by 3rd parties, which I assume were pushed by this person. I want to be clear, that at each altercation and penalty, while this person has denied receiving any explanation for his penalties, We have in fact left ban reasons and emails with this person. His 'medical' excuses for why he continues this behavior are not my concern and I cannot govern his life or state of mind. My task is to administrate the rules and make sure that everyone willing to play the game within the given rules can enjoy the service that we provide. While I typically do not divulge details in cases for our penalties, we do not arbitrarily ban anyone. For many years this person has continually appealed his ban even though we have told him not to bother us about it ever again. In 2016 I made the mistake of not telling him he is unwelcome as I mistakenly assumed he had been playing within the rules under a new alias. I was wrong about that. He had not been an active player and until recently I had no reason to pay him any more mind until we began receiving some varied complaints about how he was treating people and he also began wasting our time with more appeals. I got lucky today! Two new colour foals born. A skewbald boy called Marksilver from jet mum Rockmountain and Skewbald dad Jasper; and an appaloosa boy Eastcloud from two piebalds, Warriorflash and Chaserrun. Little Eastcloud doesn't have all the traits I want but he's a 5 speed and will be staying. Marksilver needs serious medical intervention! Poor boy is 2 speed, healthy and sparky and has 4 (count them, 4!) bad traits. If anyone wants him, send me a pm in game.
