    It's been over two years now and no love yet. It is not right that one can go hunting and get 100ql coal and yet at 98.06 coal making, using 99ql mats, selecting only the very best results after creation and adding the dirt, I still have a hard time hitting the magic number of 81.82ql on the coal piles to make 90ql coal with the walnut bonus. I'd like to modify my suggestion above from a couple years ago to make walnut give a 25% bonus to ql. I can live with having to make 80ql coal piles to get 100ql results. This seems like it is most likely a very easy modification to make, won't upset the game balance in any way that I can see, and will bring some reasonableness into the process whereby a highly skilled coal maker can get the same ql coal as a hunter. I'd also like to suggest this should be a temporary fix until the whole coal process (including coal from hunting) comes up for rework.

    Independence was moved to new hardware this morning, which interrupted population data gathering. I'm updating the site to talk to a different server. May be a short downtime as I haven't updated this in...a while...and there are some configuration issues I need to work out. Edit: All done, no downtime. Actual updates soon(tm).

    Enchant decay change happened roughly 1.5 year ago. Formula for it: (1 - (1 - 1/(y * 30))^(max(1.5, x/5 - 0.5))) * min(x/10, 1)^2 Wolfram Alpha link - chance for a tool to lose a point of enchant at enchant power 100, timers from 0 to 20 seconds. Previous system was checking if decay should take place every 5 seconds without consideration for action length, so actions lasting more than any multiple of 5 had significantly larger chance for enchant loss, while actions with timers below 5 seconds would never cause enchant loss. For example, action taking 11 seconds had two times larger enchant loss chance than 9 second action. In addition, if you was really unlucky it was possible to lose more than single enchant point in single action. In new system enchant loss chance is calculated only at the end of action or if the action is canceled. There is no sudden jump every 5 seconds, so you don't need to worry about keeping your actions below 5/10/15/20 seconds to lower enchant loss. In addition, there is a special curve for timers below 10 seconds, greatly lowering enchant loss chance for them compared to the old system. In general, enchant loss chance for actions lasting over 10 seconds should be similar in old and new system, and for actions lasting less than 10 seconds new system have much lower enchant loss chance.

    Make the "Lead" permission in deed permissions only apply too leading unbranded animals on deed. Instead of giving lead permission to all animals branded by your deed. Branding a animal should override deed "Lead" permissions. So only players listed on manage animal can lead your horse. Any player that has a permission on manage animal for that horse should be able to lead it. The deed should not control permission on my horse once I have branded it and set permissions.

    DisbandMod Simple mod I wrote to disband villages/settlements on a server when the mayor has been inactive/hasn't logged in for a set amount of time. The reason I wrote this mod when there are already tax/upkeep mods out there for a similar purpose is I wanted one that would take place instantly. With this mod, upkeep will be ignored - once the configured number of days have gone by, the deed goes poof. I tested this mod on my local development server with a few test cases on 1.8.0.3 with ago1024's modloader v0.40 and the results were successful. That being said, there may be things I've overlooked, so I still recommend making backups! If you come across any bugs/issues please let me know and I'll look into fixing them. Note: Requires Sindusk's SinduskLibrary. link https://github.com/kevinmd88/disbandmod/releases DisableDeeds A niche mod that most servers probably wouldn't want. I created it for one of my own servers, and decided to share it for anyone who might find it useful. All it does is disable the settlement application form. Users who try to found a settlement, e.g. with the deed stake, will be given a message instead that it's disabled and won't be able to proceed with it. Any existing settlements that were on the server before the installation of this mod should be unaffected - they can be resized/modified/etc. as normal.     I have always assumed that if you have a horse which is branded to your deed and is saddled, it is safe to park anywhere on the same server and no-one will be able to steal it as long as the horses permissions do not allow. This however, is not true. I had a situation happen recently where I discovered some of my saddled and branded horses missing from my island. I had just parked them all over the place, assuming they are 100% safe. However, since my settlement allows non-citizens to LEAD animals on my deed (a setting I need, because I have a horse market) this allowed someone to just come and snatch my own branded and saddled horses away. These horses had the Xmas gift saddlebags, so I was pretty devastated by this loss. The issue is the fact that the settlement permissions OVERRIDE the animal's own permissions. Surely this cannot be right? I did some tests with a friend who has no permissions to my deed and he was able to lead my branded horse away. What makes this even more alarming, is that even if I could just make sure to park my horses inside of fences from now on on my own deed, what happens if I visit someone else's deed and dismount. If the deed owner changes the permissions of their deed to allow leading, anyone will be able to take my horse. This needs to be changed so that animal specific permissions OVERRIDE the settlement permissions, and not vica versa.

    7.7% actually. it's a waste of money to replace your pickaxe until it gets to 70ish 5x rare, 10x supreme, 15x fantastic. i've done hundreds of hours with some of my supremes and most haven't lost any, some have only lost a point or two

    I was using a coc 97 hatchet QL 1 and by the time I went from 78 woodcutting to 80 it was down to 92, and this was all in just one day. It seemed fairly odd. The same thing happened when I did prospecting from 28 to 70 in one sitting with a 95 coc QL 1 pick made of steel, by the time I was done it was 89coc All this happened in about 12 hours

    I wonder now if branded horses are able to be tamed or killed on another deed that allows it. If that isn't the case, you can track down your horse with the manage animals window, and it should still be where the current "owner" lead it to, inclusive its gear.

    This is a huge problem! What is the sense in branding animals if deed permissions will override the settings? Because they are branded, even if they lead them away, your items should still be on the horse. So hopefully a GM can return your horses and items to you. I would hope that anyone taking advantage of such a bug would have some severe consequences knowing the lead ability is unintended.

    I had issues crossing from server to server, and upon being able to cross, all my gear had disappeared. While gms were dealing with what was happening on Independence, they found time to help me and get my gear back. Thank you!

    tbh something changed, and thats the resistances to certain damage types however, i dont think we should get a free transfer, rework meditation, you know that project that got announced almost a year back yeah....
