So I thought this was going to be added but it seems to have been over looked So I'd like to suggest "Mountain Eater". I'm assuming the original Dadd hit it shortly before me many years ago and it would be his to name but he has moved on to greener pastures afaik. Should a dev not like this title, then please add SOMETHING. No idea why shovel gets a 100 title and we pickaxe wielders are looked down on Pingpong

I can respect that, which is why I asked as politely as I could. Thank you for getting back to me on it. If I had my own kingdom, I would want it to represent what I want it to as well. Just to clarify here, I am not looking for a refund. I was simply asking what's going on, why the textures have changed, and why no new ones have been added while leaving the old ones intact. I did not ask for a refund at any point in my text. Fortunately, all my questions have been answered by the community. I had no idea it wasn't possible to have two textures for a kingdom, I didn't know that MR and MR was different for example, and I didn't know why WU changed it in the first place. Now I know and I am content with it. Sad, but I will accept the change and happy that all my questions have been answered.

Hello! As the one that more or less approved the change to the new graphics i apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. But this is our kingdom and we can as stated do as we wish with it, (to a degree) and we wanted a new graphic that spoke more to the kingdom as it is in it's current form, and have been planned for allmost 2 years, just that it was not untill now we came up with a design that spoke to us. Sure it will not fit everyone, but we can not realy ask every person that have a wagon / banner / tent in the game how they would like OUR kingdom how it should look. Our plan was not to piss of ppl that have bought items, but to please ourself and how WE want it to look.

I wonder - having seen the controverse and discussion in both Freedom and GL-Freedom - if it hadn't been a better idea if the players would have been informed in this thread or another about the (at the time) upcoming change. That way the surprise wouldn't have been that hard for the owners of WU items, no matter if they like the change or not. I got the feeling that most of the harsh comments I have seen in the past hours weren't because of the change, but more because the change was done without a warning and into something not everybody likes. I do understand a PMK got the right to do so, however, I wonder if that PMK also has realized that when doing such a sudden change, they may actually loose a part of their customers?? Because right now most of what I've seen is only negative about the recent change. And I doubt that was the intention. Was it? Thorin

I can understand why people might be upset by the sudden change of the design. I can partially take the blame for it since I manage this WTS thread. The thing is we werent really sure when the new designs are gonna be ingame, we only knew that its gonna happen and I was told it might take a lot of time, even months. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused by that but due to us not knowing when it's gonna change we weren't able to inform the people properly. Also im dealing with a lot of stuff IRL now so I'm not that focused on Wurm these days, since I need to focus on finishing my university. The designs were changed because we didnt really like the old ones. The people that made the original template are long gone, and don't play anymore. We inherited this kingdom, and from the beginning we wanted to change the design, so we can make it feel like "our" kingdom. I understand that a lot of people who play this game liked the old design for the esthetics, but sadly we couldnt make it so the old design will stay ingame, it had to be swapped with the new one. I just hope we don't lose people's trust just by changing the design. I dont fully agree with all the posts made above, but it's too late now, what has been said, cannot be taken back.

Angelklaine, since you don't understand common English, I make it easy for you: 1) I don't give a ###### about refunds. 2) In my post I never asked for a refund; 3) In fact, I even have never mentioned REFUND in my post 4) If you want to change the template of your items, go ahead 5) If you do that without informing your buyers; expect a shitstorm like you got now 6) If the Dev-team PROPOSE a change to how PvP is going to be played, you - and many other PvP players - usually comment at it that changes shouldn't be done without consulting the PvP community, that the current changed would kill the PvP community etc. Yet, as the same time, you're arrogant enough to tell us, YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! to either accept the change to the PMK items or get rid of the items if we don't want them. Tell me, if you as a player got WU PMK items, started the game after the update and saw that during that update the line "Adjusting new WU PMK template" passes your screen; first thing you do is wondering what is going on. Then when you see what the template is like, you head over the forum to see if you perhaps missed any anouncement of WU, telling their buyers the template has changed. However, NON OF THAT happened. NONE!! In fact, the wording you use sounds bloody arrogant to me. You're basically telling your customers to shove off, because the only reason we're here is to support your PMK by buying your items. Has it EVER occured to you there are also players in this game who like to collect the PMK items because they like the design? Has it also occured to you that because of YOUR arrogance, new buyers may reconsider buying WU items, simply because they (WU) change things without informing the public; being the public the potential buyers or the ones who already had items. Has it EVER occured to you there may be players who right now don't want to buy WU items anymore, because, hey, before you know it, they change their template to a shitty-brown colour with a big turd at it and they won't tell us. The WHOLE point of my previous post was to wonder why NO-ONE of WU even bothered to tell their customers about an upcoming change of template. You basically gave me - as well as others - the answer, which is: "Because we give ###### about our customers. As long as you buy our stuff, we can do what we like." And because of that, I expect dropping sales in WU items, as you just lost the trust the players have in WU. Thank you! Thorin

There is only one entry per PMK for graphics, so any item that uses that will use the latest version. If the PMK chooses to change their graphics, then all items of that type will update. Unfortunately, the game does not make any provision currently to 'freeze' the graphics of an item - essentially, the old graphics no longer exist in the game as they've been replaced by the new ones. This probably won't change, as I can see some issues it would introduce. Ultimately, it is up to the PMK as to what their graphics look like, so there's always a chance that a kingdom-specific item will change appearance in the future.

A problem seems to have arisen here which prompts me never to buy any PMK decorations (and in PvE, banners and wagons, beside their utility, are exactly that, decorative items). When I buy a rug, a carpet, a tapestry, or any other decoration, I choose it for its sight, and rely on this sight to remain the same. With the uncertaincy of a design which may change without warning, PMK items are out of the pool of acceptable decorations.

I'm not suggesting this to get people to play on Epic. I just want it more enjoyable for myself and others who play are currently enjoying Epic. The home servers have thriving communities as far as I've seen - let's make it easier for us to "visit" each other and also hang out on Elevation, which is mostly abandoned as it is. PvP needs some more attention, sure - maybe even an overhaul. But this is not it. I fail to see why you're against a new map, just because there aren't enough players to support two PvP environments. Epic is a fair bit more than just Wurm with PvP enabled.

Traits do not affect characteristics such as Body Strength. Some traits affect their carry weight limits, but that's it. Otherwise, you could have a traited sheep pulling a wagon, and it probably would affect hitched speed. Here's what the traits do in terms of movement speed and carrying capacity: It has fleeter movement than normal: +10% speed It has a strong body: +10kg carry weight It has lightning movement: +20% speed It can carry more than average: +20kg carry weight It has very strong leg muscles: +10% speed, +10kg carry weight It looks very unmotivated: -30kg carry weight It has malformed hindlegs: -10% speed The legs are of different length: -30% speed (Ebony black color): +2.5% speed Hell horses have an ebony equivalent; I believe it's "molten" but I'm not 100% sure. Animals absolutely do not care about the weight of a hitched vehicle, so traits that only affect carry capacity (carry more, strong body) won't matter in that case. Speed-related traits kick in when the horse passes a Soul Strength skill check, and turn off if they fail it. The opposite is true for negative traits; it can pass a Soul Strength check to not be affected by something like "malformed hindlegs". Hell horses have much higher Soul Strength than normal horses, so they pass these checks much more consistently. Unicorns, bisons, and other animals that aren't horses, don't do these checks; the traits are always in effect for them.

Just doing a price check/offers on my 99ql 17.32dmg Rare Summerhat. It is a no-drop. So you keep it upon death no matter what. This is also one of maybe like 2-5 still around. It is the strength of a regular helm (maybe a little more since its rare) also has a 10% dmg reduction rune with 85 web armor on it. It is colored purple as well. Also only way to fix/repair is to mend once it hits every 20 DMG. 99QL 17.32 DMG [21:06:26] A beautiful hat, glistening in the sun. It is made from a strange green fabric and decorated with flowers that never seem to wither. This is a very rare and interesting version of the item. Colors: R=143, G=120, B=210. [21:06:26] A steel rune of Vynora has been attached, so it will reduce damage taken (10%) [21:06:26] Web Armour has been cast on it, so it may slow down creatures when they hit this armour. Recently there were a number of questions, partially sharp complaints about changes of PMK insignia (banners, wagons etc.) sold to PvE Freedomers. See this thread for example The discussion brought the result that every PMK has exactly one slot for insignia graphics templates. Once they change them (ofc legitimately) all, also already sold items change to the new appearance. Especially for Freedom dwellers who bought those items for their "old" appearance and made and have them fit the appearance of buildings and furniture, this is highly unpleasant. But moreover, the insignia design is player developed artswork and graphics content, and it is sad when it disappears without a trace. I am in no way a java developer and mostly thinking within the framework of procedural programming (mainly in C), but I cannot imagine that it would be that hard or such a waste of resources to allow several sets of insignia designs. This would not only satisfy buyers of PMK insignia but also strengthen the sense for tradition and history in the PMK (if that is a topic there) as they could display the old banners of former rulers and battles.

I'm going to reply with 2 posts from another thread dealing with the same issue: At the risk of sounding rude, I am going to reply to your post here, friend. Please don't take it personal, I just have to clarify my initial post which seems to be a little unclear. This shop is not a business. Its a means for us to provide to the player community with PMK items which are often sought after by the PVE community to decorate their deeds while at the same time seeking supplemental funds to help alleviate the expenses of running a kingdom. Its a mutually beneficial transaction between two players. Once that transaction is done with, our business is concluded. The loyalty of the kingdom is to its members, not the PVE community. We are a PVP kingdom on the Wild Cluster, and the decisions relating our kingdom are a matter of internal policy. No kingdom needs to or is expected to discuss decisions with the Freedom population before implementing it, nor is there a need to make any announcement to "appese" the customer base. Why? Because we are not here to make wagons, banners and flags. We are here to pvp. The decision was made after discussing it with members to change the art and it was submitted to Saroman. It was subsequently approved and uploaded into the game. That is that. It is not the first time a pmk changes its artwork, nor will it be the last. There will be no refunds to players for the changes to the art on our pmk items. The reason why is because we have no way to truly track how our pmk items got to to you as a customer. If we started issuing refunds, we'd potentially be paying for kingdom items we never sold, as former and current members can make kingdom items on their own and pass them on without our knowledge. Even if the transaction was recent and could be verified, those funds are likely spent already, used in kingdom matters such as funding deeds and buying materials or gear. The only recourse players that are dissatisfied with the change have is to sell the item to other players as it is their right. We apoligize for any inconvenience the change has caused you, but the members of the kingdom choose their new art. Utimately, their opinon is the one taken into consideration as Wurm University members are the ones who wear the tabard. Hopefully this was clear enough to explain our position in the matter. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to any of our leadership. From now on, please stick to the purpose of the thread. Discussions regarding the changes in kingdom art are not the purview of a Merchant thread. Thank you for your patronage and we'll see you in game. And my reply to that: I do hope this is just the stance of ONE person, and not of the whole of WU. Thorin

The problem is when what you are selling to earn kingdom funds turns out to be a pig in a poke. While I may be delighted to find I'm the new owner of a kitty, I'd still be lacking a pig to fatten up for winter, and suffering from violent allergies. Even now, as of this post it is still the original gold/beige/whatever you see it as items being advertised in the first post. I get that only Vom can edit that, but no mention was made, no warning anywhere I can find to let people know their belongings would change so drastically. Doing so would have allowed those who found the new design really not to their taste to sell on or learn to live with the new look whilst drumming up new business from those excited by purpleness and stopping people like me bitching about it at every available opportunity. You know, common courtesy. I get that pmk stuff can change at any time, and I'm glad you have the new look you want, but a simple heads up would have avoided a lot of the complaints.

I understand that completely which is why I was polite enough to ask if they would consider it and the only reason I asked is coz it happened recently. If they said no I would have made my peace with it and tried to sell it off via trade chat. Once upon a time (4,200 some odd days ago) a group of people from the Off Topic forums of World War 2 Online (now Battleground Europe) walked through a portal onto a place called Wild. Being accustomed to rifles and tanks and planes, we were babes lost in the woods. Our survivalist messiah, Bushman, trekked north while creating one of the first maps to exist and found a place we could all live. But you can read about this elsewhere. This history is interesting, but incomplete. Tales of old glory leave out the mundane but wonderful things. For example, the day we thought we set the forest on fire. Sadly my memory is also incomplete and I do not recall the specific individuals who were present at the time beyond one or two. In our earliest days of wurm, we joined the server in sporadic groups and had to be guided north to the promised land. Bloodyhell had placed some campfires to mark the route for those of us coming in on a certain day, and so we learned that campfires were a wonderful source of light. Soon enough, many of us were placing campfires all around our camp area. We then went off exploring the forest, not knowing what to expect or what we might find. It began to get dark, and it seems to my memory glasses that darkness used to be much darker. We pressed on for a bit, foraging and exploring - but then something strange began to happen. At first we thought it was a trick of the eyes, but it soon became undeniable that the area was getting foggy. This fog became surprisingly thick rather quickly. As it became so that we couldn't see the trees just a few feet away from us someone noticed the ominous orange glow coming from the direction of our camp. Someone else suggested that perhaps we should not have left so many campfires unattended, and this idea and panic quickly spread through the group. Surely we had, in our noobness, set the whole forest ablaze! It was a mad rush to get back to camp with buckets to douse the flames, the smoke getting thicker as we went. It seemed an eternity, with the disaster getting ever worse, until at last we burst into the open ground of the camp -- and of course as you all know we had not, in fact, burned down the forest. It was just fog. In the early days, it was common belief among us (until someone actually found out the hard way and starved) that starvation would cause death. Having enough food was a source of great consternation among our little group. Someone had managed to plant a little four-tile farm but it was constantly bulldozed by people digging. Eventually it was established that each person would spend a certain amount of time each day foraging and delivering their haul to the camp cook (darned if I can't remember who it was). So this we did for a day or two, feeding ourselves on lingonberry and nightshade casseroles with a side of potato. Meat was nigh-impossible to get. We had only our terrible little short swords that came as starter gear at the time, and some had already lost those. We couldn't kill anything without casualties. An aged pheasant nearly decimated our whole population on day 2. One day, a large rat wandered into our camp. At first we all ran away, until one of our hunters-to-be goaded us into battle with a cry of "MEAT!!!" and we sallied forth to battle the rat. Some armed with shovels and planks, others with short swords in one hand and carrying their shield in the other - which was not how a shield is to be used - surrounded the rat and brutally bludgeoned it to death in our frenzy. At last the Rat died in glorious battle and we cheered, exultant in our victory! And then came the realization that we had no way to get the meat off the rat. Shovels didn't butcher back then. Dejected, we went back to our vegan lifestyle. Eventually some Blacklighters found us and killed us, built walls around our camp, burned everything that could be burned, butchered our corpses, and scattered our meat around outside the walls. Good times. TLDR; We joined wild and some stuff happened

Well, that's too bad, because I always believed 100 percent every word Johan told us, and I always felt he genuinely cared a lot about the playerbase. I know I am "difficult" a lot, and that the devs see me (well, and most players frankly) as "difficult." But I would never ever give Johan any backtalk or sass because his empathy with the players was so obvious. He took all the anger I would have built up, and in a few words could make it vanish. He didn't lie to me and he didn't sugarcoat. He had my absolute respect. What you say pretty much confirms what I felt at the time -- that Johan was basically forced out of his job, and in large part because he felt too much sympathy with the playerbase.

@bdew I'm trying to add pillars as a surface, and when I type "#surface add 717 1 1 15 0 0" I get a confirmation that "Added foundation pillar to surface list." However, the items I try to put on them drop to the ground, with a message "There is nowhere in the pillar to put the snow lantern (lit)." I've tried changing the z setting all the way up to 50, in case, but nothing is changing. Are you able to tell what I'm doing wrong? EDIT: I got it. The pillar is actually called "pillarDecoration" on the list, so should have been item 736 instead of 717. #surface add 736 1 1 5 0 0 works beautifully
