    Greetings fellow Wurmians! Lunar Order would like to invite every good Wurmian for it's first and not last public Slaying of a Green Dragon! Location is: NE corner of M23 Grid on Xanadu. There's a single road to the slaying, takes about 5 minuts from shore to get there, later cobble road turns into packed dirt path. There might be not enough space for docking many ships in the place where road starts tho. Lunar Order Slaughterhouse Rules: 1) Loot is Private, every good Wurmian is welcome to attend and get his Scale Pieces as well as blood for Ointment of Tailoring. 2) You can bring alts, however only main toons with 2h weapons and 70+FS should fight a Dragon. 3) Even that loot from a corpse is private, I'll roll 2x 80QL Armor sets of a choice (Leather, iron Chain or iron Plate) for people who will like to join lottery list after slaying. Armors will be done and send after a slaying in shortest possible time to the winners! 4) One person isn't welcome to attend a slaying (she knows who I mean), however I won't stop any attempts in the name of good taste. 5) V.I.P. guests of the Order (old friends mostly), invited to this Slaying will be rewarded with small simbolic gifts from Castle stores, and will be allowed to enter slaying pen area sooner.     Having a really cute foal born with a slightly disappointing name, I had a thought. What if, when you hit a high level of animal husbandry (say 90 or 100) you gained the ability to change animals' names? So if you get Haltula or Yazmeenpick, or a name you just don't like, you could change it to something else. Either a name you came up with, or picking from a list like the rng does anyway. Haltula could become Penelope or Sweetswift, depending on the system used. To keep things Wurmian, have the ability to change names as an ability with a long cool down, say you could only change names every 18 or 24 hours. It would add another reason to gain husbandry skill, perhaps as part of an animal husbandry overhaul?

    It would be fair if we could equip a zombie troll, with original club again. I understand that other weapons maybe to powerfull. But Zombie Trolls have lots of downsides: - have to find a troll and i have to kill him before i can do rebith - over 10 DMG I cannt rebirth them. - they only living 24H - If I tame another animal the zombie troll is useless bc I cannt tame him back. - Zombies can not log off with the owner - The strength of a Zombie may be somewhat weaker then the original With dominate spell I can store alot of trolls and champ trolls for very long time on my deed. plus with elec.rune i can make them younger. They still have there Club. Spell difficult is only 35 (rebith has 40). So for me it looks that rebith on trolls have alot of downsides. so it would be fair if atlast we could give the original club back to the zombie troll.

    I made a chestnut foal for the first time! He's only a 4 speed, but I'm still thrilled. ❤️ From mum Hopmountain (blood bay) and dad Bayard (chestnut) a son, Raidwild.

    Not only Zombie trolls but anything "zombie" gets a CR nerf and an age nerf to it, we had this discussion in the priest overhaul and @Sindusksaid something about making the trolls atleast equip what it had on its corpse at death, meaning it could get to keep its club but not any other new equipment/tools added after. However if they cant use clubs now then something is wrong, since surely a troll isnt supposed to use bite and kick as a pet as that is hardly 20% of its dmg with club. Another suggestion to make rebirth interesting again was to make rebirth player corpses a good feature, make a player corpse calculate its body stats into a modifiyied dmg into bite/slash. No gear would be equipped on the player corpse but since its a zombie obviously it SHOULD take less dmg considering nothing is fatal for it except a blow to the head. Lets say the corpse had 50 body str and 50 bdy sta on death, when ressurected that 50 body str will be calculated into a raw dmg in bite/slash that the zombie uses. Depending on how high the players stats were in fighting it gets the CR from that player. The dmg could be somewhat stronger then a troll with a club around 50 body + and at 70 + it would be considerbly stronger then a troll or most other animals in the wild (non champ). *Edit* And as a champ player corpse it should retain the champ status (it already exists in "zombie invasion" that you randomly get champion status zombies so the coding is there) its just that they are useless for the moment.

    I think the zombie troll should be rework. Grumpysmith tried to discuss that in the priest-test. but not get a real good answer to his questions. OR replace rebirth with dominate.

    Zombie trolls are also nerfed in CR. They're weaker than actual trolls. Fun fact right? Whats the point in having this spell anyway? Dominate is soooo much more convenient

    This would make BL/Libila an interesting choice in pvp as it would be weaker then WL/Mag in the initiation of the battle with Mag having 15% Dmg bonus and dominated pets with no CR nerf, but as the battle goes on any WL who falls could be ressurected into fighting for BL which would slowly turn the favour more forward BL in long skrimishes on open land where they could more easily have time accessing a player corpse and ressurect it while in combat.

    Mini Update Download Added turn_to_player_max_power option. All trader types will now turn to face the player they are trading with so long as their power is not higher than this setting (default is 1). Note, Traders and Merchants will always turn to face a player of power 1 or lower. Added shop total to GM start trading message when free_money is true. Done. By items do you mean not coins? Are you the owner? If so the buyer won't ever accept items from their owner. I can't see a problem otherwise, are you getting anything in the server logs? I have extended the "I do not require any money." message to always tell power 3+ GMs (the only time you'd see that message in the first place) how much cash they have on them. Hopefully it will clear things up a little.

    It would be wonderful if the colorful carpets were changed so that we could dye them. The colors now are rather abrupt in comparison to the rest of the game, so it makes them stick out a bit. The sizes could still be skill based, but if we could change the color, I feel these would be used far more often and they would be more appealing in so many beautiful buildings. Now that the Fine High Chair has been reworked to accept dye with a neutral base fabric, I'm bringing this back up to hopefully get some response. With object placement, we are becoming much more focused on the decor in our homes, and custom dyed rugs seems a natural next step.

    Heya, starting a quick thread here to bring some posetivity to the devs since people just tend to complain about stuff they dislike and skip praising the thing they like. I love the update, the sheer amount of work that's been going into to this is just pure madness. Fishing went from a mundane click game to something interactive and awesome, it's AWESOME! We got a Ninja update on clothing (white hoods and jackets etc) it's AWESOME! We got tower chaining so more things to work towards on PvP , it's AWESOME! We got new mechanic for climbing and grinding it finally grants results, it's AWESOME! We have a whole new level of spells, new priest mechanics and so much new stuff, it's AWESOME! So I just wanted to say that you are all awesome! From me to all of you, have a very Merry Christmas!

    I agree a lot of accounts do change hands a lot and many people go along time (sometimes years) between playing the game, so there is kind of a loss in community feel anyways. I think this may add some benefit, also lets not forget that peoples tastes change over the years as we get older and some one who may have named there character years ago may not really like the name now, but does not want to start over and so their interest may wain or they may only get on the character 1-3 times a year. How would this kind of play add to the community when maybe if they got a name change instead they may be on everyday because now they actually like there characters again.

    Informative Errors Right now in Wurm there is a significant number of systems that do not give proper player feedback which can result in confusion for anyone who doesn't understand the intricacies of how things work. These suggestions are meant to help improve clarity by adjusting error messages to more specifically display why things aren't working. Horse Gear A new player to the game might not understand that horses need to be tamed, charmed, or branded in order to be equipped. They might try something like either of the below after creating their first set of horse gear: Notice the errors? You can't reach that. You are not allowed to do that. Why can't I reach it? Why can't I do that? A new player would be absolutely confused as to what they did wrong here. In many cases, that player would simply go to Wurmpedia and figure it out, but not everyone is that patient or dedicated to resolving issues. My suggestion is to change the messages to give more clarity of what went wrong: You can't take that. The (name of creature) must be your pet or branded to your village. You are not allowed to do that. The (name of creature) must be your pet or branded to your village. Something along those lines would solve this player confusion with extremely minimal effort. Highway System There's a google document describing how the highway system works. I assure you, not everyone has read it. While creating a new highway is somewhat reasonable in terms of understanding how it works, take a look when trying to add on to an existing highway: You don't even get an error. You just can't even plant the objects trying to expand it. Now, an experienced player will know that you need to replace the catseye in the road with a waystone. But a new player will just sit there completely confused about what they're doing wrong. My suggestion is simple: Allow there to be a "plant" option for waystones and catseyes in the road where they wouldn't work. Then, display an error message telling the player why it wont work. For example, trying to place the catseye next to the highway here would result in an error like: You cannot place a catseye here. It would create an intersection, which requires a waystone. If I were to try the waystone, it could tell me something like the following: Waystones must be planted within a deed or replaced on catseyes to create an intersection. It's not perfect, but it sure beats having no idea what went wrong. Enchants & Negating Effects This one is rather simple, and can be described in two lines, copied from my Spellcraft mod description: [21:01:38] The longsword is already enchanted with something that would negate the effect. [21:01:43] The longsword is already enchanted with Blessings of the Dark which would negate the effect of Wind of Ages. "Something that would negate the effect" tells the player nothing about what's going wrong. Someone who doesn't read the wiki would have no idea why their enchant wont apply. Corners Can't Be Modified When trying to flatten or level an area, sometimes this will happen: Some corners can't be modified. Why not? What's stopping it? Which corner is it? The following is more descriptive: The birch tree prevents a corner from being modified. The slate bricks prevents a corner from being modified. Either one of those is more effective than what's being displayed. Overall, clarity in error messages does nothing but good things for the game. It helps people learn what they're doing incorrectly and guides them towards solving the problem instead of leaving them feeling dumb and helpless.

    Great! Another thing I will point out is that the iron mine is filling with 100's of iron ore. I consolidated a lot of it into piles on center tiles but soon seemingly ambitious miners may fill the whole place up. Probably 2 or more trash bins on the center tiles would resolve this problem, then at least from time to time when I enter that mine I could fill them up to free up mining tiles. Maybe some other players would then do the same. =Ayes=

    I wouldn't recommend running those on a "normal" server, they were meant more for people just building with a gm, a-la "creative mode" Especially no damage - it means every corpse, every single woodscrap or piece of junk etc will stay around forever until you manually get rid of it. Move to center was added to vanilla, but the mod also adds move to corner option, which isn't. I should probably rename it... ?
