    So I made a new alt to check out Haven's Landing. After raising his masonry skill a bit I decided to try to repair some minor damage on a Guard Tower. The message I got was something to the effect that 20 Fighting Skill was required to repair a Guard Tower. As far as I know before this pvp Guard Tower linking update no Fighting Skill at all was required to repair Guard Towers on the PvE servers. This change will be problematic for players building new Guard Towers on the PvE servers since they may care nothing about raising their Fighting Skill but rather just want to build their Guard Tower and then improve it once finished, which will require repairing damage to it while doing so. Perhaps this is some oversight with the pvp Guard Tower linking system and isn't intended to be a requirement on the PvE servers? Maybe this has gone by unnoticed on the PvE servers and none have mentioned it? Anyway, I wanted to make a post to bring this issue to attention as no doubt as I mentioned it will be problematic to some newer or alt players wanting to improve a Guard Tower that they have built. A totally unnecessary requirement and restriction to be in place upon the PvE servers as it servers no constructive purpose there. If kept on the pvp servers only then yeah I see no problem with it since Fighting Skill is one of the main focus of that playstyle. =Ayes=

    On the 19 May 2018 a tunnel of considerable undertaking was started, which was eventually completed on the 26 November 2018. It was a long and grueling 6 months, for the persons involved in the project to connect the ocean in the east at Serendipity Bridge to Shake Lake. The tunnel comprises a single walkway and double boat tiles enabling all forms of boats to access Shark Lake as well as an additional entrance / exit to the steppe area. Our thanks goes out to the following persons for their assistance in the construction process and the removal / mining out of the 57 veins that were encountered.     After nearly three years living on-top his mountain, which he seems to have graciously shared with others as there was an abandoned deed up there, the starving troll king of Xanadu will finally be slain. P11 on the ingame map. follow the path to the cave, then follow the tunnel to the top, signs will be put up where to go from there. it's a single wide non-reinforced cave so some mining may be required. Takes 20 minutes or so to walk to to the top by my estimate.

    Hello. I created the mod for Wurm Unlimited translates UI, skills, items, recipes, animals etc to Russian. But I'm pretty sure you can use it to translate to any other language.     Now we know what to get Sindusk for christmas! This update has been pretty special even with the minor hiccups, and I must say that the game has really come a long long ways and I for one have enjoyed every minute of the progress.

    Giving this another little nudge. Still holding out hope that we will be able to dye rugs sometime in the near future. The fine high chairs look beautiful dyed to our perfect colors. The regular beds look so neat with their dye channels. Let's see some colorful carpets become colorful! (And the canopy beds too!) Please, please, pretty please?

    A good suggestion Tamat. Since Wagoneer travel is so slow I can't see much fuss being raised for having this as an option for player travel by paying the same sort of fee as shipping. The player would also need to be protected from aggro mob attack along the way in whatever terms it needs to be justified. Yeah, it is afk travel but slooow travel, so ok. =Ayes=

    If its split between everyone in local the same way drake/scale is, that just incentives not having public slayings for humanoids which i'm not really a fan of. New armor types are always cool though.

    Brainer and I have got you a gift, As I am very unoriginal it's the same thing I got you last time. It's a Canal It's a great Northern Canal so we've called it "Great Northern Canal" With thanks to: Gaffer, Barricade, Explora, Ehizelbob, Carrera, Finn, Deri, Jarislief, Fairyshine, Yuri, Shadyone. They swung picks they strong walled or they made supports. Special mention to Moosig who basically rearranged his whole deed on the south end to allow the road to pass through and the allow for better access by boat. Honorary mention to Fitch/Chubby who dug the canal linking the little lake to Spawn lake (which has now been dredged to allow for deep water passage). If you're trying to find it on the North coast you'll see the obelisk, it comes out west of Venalicium Draconis even though it's East on the map, it is a straight line N/S from the lake though.

    *grin* Yet, gifts are given out in social life to strengthen relationships (like i am taming my pig ?), so it is not unimportant to make people happy or at least content. But alas, you can never satisfy everybody, and my impression is that the snowman was widely appreciated. Even those whining could prolly sell theirs for a good price.

    Hey everyone, sorry for the confusion. We should've added additional information to the change log regarding how player god priest restrictions work. Priest restrictions are based entirely on the template god. For example, Nahjo's template god is Fo. This means any priest restrictions that apply to Fo would also apply to Nahjo. In this case, Fo cannot apply support beams, and therefore neither can Nahjo. Because Magranon is able to apply support beams, this infers that Smeagain also can apply support beams (since Smeagain is a demigod of Magranon). I do see how strange it appears with Nahjo being able to reinforce with a spell, but not with a beam. However, this isn't a bug and instead just a side effect of re-rolling the spell lists. We're open to suggestions for changing this, and would ask that you make a new thread in the suggestions forum mentioning it. Again, sorry for the confusion and hopefully this helps clarify similar situations in the future.

    I like the snowman. If you don't like the gifts that are handed out, you don't have to check your tree for gifts. There is nothing anywhere that says that you will get a gift on Christmas. I think those that are ungrateful should have their snowmen statues replaced with something truly useful. A yellow potion.

    Fix Download Note - Remove any coins traded to buyers whilst free_money was true, or set the shop database total in the database, before using this version. Fixed issue where money traded whilst free_money is true was not setting the buyer's shop total. I, wrongly, assumed that people would either be using free_money as true or false, not swapping. Have fixed this issue now. I mean, I can change this behaviour if people want me to. I'm guessing it is this way because the developers don't want GMs affecting the world unless they mean to. They face south because that is the default spawn rotation, and I'm guessing summon just moves the character and does not rotate them.

    I first noticed some deep lava filled pits with the sounds of pickaxes chinking away from far beneath my feet. Surprised to see anyone in Local I investigated and found a tunnel all the way through the mountain to Sloping Sands. So I joined in for a while to help mine sandstone. The next time I was there I went to mine more sandstone but the whole project was already finished ! Very fast work everyone and it's a really useful great tunnel.

    Ive never seen those prices. Iirc 20c for under 10ql was a pretty common price for a very long time. Anyway, ill leave my offer for 70c on gems and nails. If you change your mind just send them over. If you rather would keep them or sell for higher, im totally ok with that. Youre afterall the seller here! Happy holidays to you too.

    OMG. Another ingame friend logs of for good. He was a good neighbour ingame. And i like to think he liked me aswell haha. Thx for many good tips and talks. We hadde a hard time ingame with allmost daily attacks on Rivendell and Valhalla. I se alot of my friends over here have written. Many fine words from Anettes family ?.     Good job Devs! Thanks to all of you, Sindusk you are the hero of Wurm PVP and I look forward to seeing many more changes and balances from you, ausimus and darklords. To the group doing water and UI... This game is starting to look quite amazing KEEP this kinda stuff up! Shout out to alectrys for all your bug smashing as well, scary to think what this game would look like without you... As well thank you Enki and the rest of the support staff team for all the time you put into assisting the Devs in various ways during these kinds of updates and in general for all the time you put into this game. Happy Holidays to all of you, know that at least some of us truly appreciate everything you all do for this community.

    Yes please! I like the tacklebox for taking it out to fish, but it would be great to have someplace to store bait where it won't decay when you're not using it.

    I currently have the wine and the 99ql imp left. No i wont buy my way to this. If i wanted the tome, and would buy my way to it, i would just buy the charges. I could buy a toon that has the goals and tomes and whatnot also. Heck. I could hire someone to make a game for me, and then hire them to play it.

    that wouldn't work as well as you're thinking heres my awesome artistic ability, red is dirt, black is rock, brown is mine entrance 1 tile gets turned to rock, you tunnel in, you can't go anywhere coz you hit the rock roof, and would need to make a giant dropshaft to get under that rock roof in order to expand the mine. you'd need to use 1 per 40/20 slope of dirt/rock layer difference to make a traversable path into the mine, and costing money per tile i really doubt the average person making giant pits is going to go through extra effort to make/buy it when they can just make a giant hole in the ground and not care what others think after they quit the game

    It'd either be a giant dropshaft to get into the mine coz it didn't raise surrounding tiles, or you'd need to use a bunch of them to make a mine path down to where the normal rock layer actually is to mine under it, it'd probably leave a giant spike in the rock layer itself too. can mess around with it in WU, it doesn't work very well at all

    Press F1, type bind z "say help" can replace z with any key that works for you; also you can get creative as long as help or guards! is in the phrase. For example mine says "guards! coffee break is over, kill this thing!" It will always place it in the local channel regardless of what tab you're chatting in.

    Over the next few days I will be working on a new community map for Celebration, if you have a deed to add or know of a deed that needs to be removed / renamed / or such please post. I am also looking at making a interactive map for easier usage.

    I wish we could "combine" meditation rugs into larger single rugs using their designs and coloration -- which are actually quite nice, although all variations of "red/orange". Right now they are very small and really only work as "welcome mats" or small mats. While i like the "new" meditation rugs better than their old 2012 or so era designs, I think the older designs -- plus player custom color dying under the new shader render engine -- would make for nicer "large area rugs" than the current "colorful" carpets: (recolored as the orginals were all variations of 'strong red tones' -- someone there at Code Club really really really loves their "strong red tones" lol) * original colors are here, for the curious The player decides how much green, gold, blues, red etc to blend into it. Also saturation levels (bright vs faded -- it's true I am biased for muted tones) Would be nice to also be able to tint the "solid colored tapestries" or some other textile wall hangings. we already have the textures, we have the meshes, we now have the "new shader technology" that allows custom coloration by players Hopefully, devs will reply -- "Guess What! Already In The Works!!"
