Well, i try my best, others can post if i missed something... Fishing rods became ehm complicated, you can improve them with various additions for which they have slots, there are 3-4 types of fishing lines, you can add reel to rod, bait, float to fishing line(to much to type and its really complicated but i hope you get the idea), beside rod you can fish with fishing net in shallow water and spear. Fishing is mini game where you fish shows up and you have to click on it to catch it, looks cool. Water is amazing, breath taking samool is really a genius. There are baits, grubs you can get from shriveled trees, flies from using grooming brush on catlle(need to smear cattle with honey not sure). there is box for baits, also net for storingfish while fishing that you plant in shallow water or attach to boat to keep your catch alive and fress untill you're done with fishing, i think i saw fishing rods rack in crafting recepies. chickens give feathers when butchered that can be used as floaters on line... water now has catorgories ocean, pond, underground so different fish there, also there is difference to salty and non salty water now, salt can be boiled for salt but both still drinkable, not sure what else

We shouldn't have to watch a stream to get insights into what's coming down the pipe.

Going to share my adventure of using a Wand of Seas and building/planning my deed over time. For those that don't know, a Wand of Seas lets you make an island with a rock layer anywhere you want out in the ocean. I found a wild one too today: Grats on the appaloosa, they are by far my favs from the chosen colors. (My real fav was the dapple grey, which unfortunately wasn't chosen.)

Ok then, if never-turn-into-weeds crops are not going to happen how about the ability to *enchant crops*. This would work the same way as enchanting grass and use that Path of Love level ability with the same requirements. Lets say the crops would need to reach the Ripe stage and then they could be enchanted which would freeze them in that state. The (Ripe) notation on the crops would then be replaced by (Enchanted). Animals would then also be able to graze on them with the same ability as enchanted grass. They could not be harvested after being enchanted but could be removed in the same way as enchanted grass. Perhaps their soil color could have a very slight greenish tint then but not so deep green as enchanted grass, or the soil color could remain the same. In all other ways enchanted crops would look like regular crops but just have the (Enchanted) label. This would seem a good idea to me as it both gives another use for the PoL enchant and the requirements make it so that it would be very time consuming to enchant vast farms. That being rather pointless anyway as the crops could then not be harvested. Still, enchanted crops would probably be used on a smaller scale as well for their permanent decorative effect. This may also create more of a demand for enchanting services or at least needing to have a Premium character who has this ability. Mainly I see this as a nice alternative for animal grazing and deed crops decoration. =Ayes=

Wand of seas needs to be planted in the water to check if it can be used or not, and won't tell you until it's on the ground. when they're in the water, if they're too far underwater you can't see items or piles and have to get a gm to retrieve it. a simple action to check if valid before placing them would be helpful.

Hi all. Realized I needed to post the rules for Deal or No Deal. So here they are. First game will begin in about an hour. ------------------------- OFFICIAL GAME RULES - The game will consist of 20 large chests placed at the Impalong deed. Inside each locked large chest will be a small chest containing a cash amount ranging from 1 iron up to 50 silver. - Each contestant will be selected randomly using a barrel full of keys. One by one people queued up will tell me (in Local) which number key they wish, from a small barrel on the ground. I will pass that key to them. The person uses that key in an attempt to open a small chest on the ground in front of me. If the key opens the small chest, that person will be the contestant. - The contestant will be required to "claim" one of the 20 cases to use as their starter case. After this the contestant will be asked to open a specific number of the remaining cases in this order (5,4,3,3,2,1). An offer of cash will be made to the player (by the Banker) after completing each round of case elimination. The player can either take the cash amount offered by the banker or continue eliminating more cases in an effort to increase the amount of the offer made by the Banker. - If a player makes it down to the final two cases, the player will have the choice of keeping their original "claimed" case or trading for the final case not eliminated. The chosen case will then be opened to reveal the contestants prize. - Cash prizes of 1 silver or more will be given to the winner on the spot. If a contestant wins less than 1 silver, a 90ql iron tool or iron weapon of the contestants choosing will be made and given to them instead. - Here are the monetary values used in each game - 50s, 40s, 30s, 25s, 20s, 15s, 10s, 5s, 2s, 1s, 75c, 50c, 25c, 10c, 1c, 75i, 50i, 25i, 10i, 1i -------------------------------------------------------------- Other rules and such that need to be stated: - A person may only play once per impalong, if you had a chance to play this impalong, please allow others the same opportunity (ie: no alts pls). - Sometimes mistakes can be made. So basicly grinding fishing after the update will become a nightmare? Can I still skill up by casting a line and waiting like before or will I have to engage with a fish actively for two minutes to get a tic?

I +1 this but also point out that I disagree with Joelle's point 1. The only litter out there is the used up land, terraformed and tunnelled to death. No new servers and a new island is the ONLY way to get fresh land. I would love to see a new server but since that is unlikely, a wand of the seas is the only way to bring fun back to Wurm.

You do realize all this talk about people "crying," which comes across and is likely completely meant as pejorative, just as easily applies to you. For instance, you're crying over a name on a fence. Think about that. It's your name, and you're crying over it. Why are you crying over your name appearing on a fence, that you built, with good intentions? The issue is much like this thread. You build a fence. It's in my way. Rather than give a hoot about anyone else, I just pummel it, because I only care about me. You come along, see your fence has been pummeled. You only care about you, so you rebuild. Up the QL this time. Maybe put a second fence. I come back along, I see that nuisance of a human being has only cared about himself when clearly the world revolves around me, so I pummel the fence. yadda yadda. Your world is very tiring, inefficient, and just generally a pain in the arse. Me, I'd much rather just have a chat with someone before getting into all that wasted time above. Presumably someone built that fence for a good reason.

Had to leave the impalong early, but just wanted to thank Shrimpiie and everyone who helped him put this together. The event was amazing! Everything was so well organized and well planned out. Got a nice bit of imping done, even turning one of the bows rare, as well as getting many of my trusty tools pimped up. Thank you everyone who put your love and care into improving them! The best of luck with the rest of the impalong and I'll be sure to be back next year! ❤️ BTW Shrimpiie you can give my room to Kiralie if she hasn't already contacted you. I know she was looking for a room.

Even if all the islands were placed on a small server like exo it would hardly be noticed. The servers are like 1/2 water or more anyways.

Yes I would have loved a Dapple Grey, it was one of my favourites. I think I would have chosen one to ride. Here's an old English Nursery Rhyme: Dapple Grey I had a little pony, His name was Dapple Grey, I lent him to a lady, To ride a mile away. She whipped him, she lashed him, She rode him through the mire; I would not lend my pony now, For all the lady's hire. I am for this. 100%. However, please note this is basically a return to "permagrass" (when enchanted could not be trampled), so it would be odd if they kept nerfing enchanted grass as they did then make "permagrass made from crops" as somehow ok.... But I am still 100% for it just not holding my breath on this one.

Hi @Yaga. Just looked over code and yes, looks like this was fixed. Have you noticed anything off? Hi @Stargrace. It looks like a bug and I'll try to fix it. In meantime I think restarting computer should fix this issue. One of WA log files appears to be locked by something eg. a text editor. EDIT: Just made a small tweak to avoid this crash.

The only scaling issue I have with the Wurm online website is that I have not found a way to dismiss the "Wurm Unlimited" popup and it gets in the way of literally everything.

While I like idea of refining rare essence from rares to be used for something else I don't really like the idea of implementation... 100 rare sacables is 10s or less at today's market? Makes rare bones pretty much overpriced and those are harder to get than 100 rare junk (alts that spam 24/7 for rares would go nuts for those fortunate to have strong enough machines that can support several clients running). I personally would like ability to refine rare essence tied to alchemy for example, extracting rare essence from items using some ingridients, source crystal to hold it maybe, would be cool if we could butcher bones of some large animals and apply enough source crystals holding rare essence untill it becomes rare (100-150 maybe, same story for supreme, fantastic) something like that would make more sense to me than sacing 100 rares at ones for bone but maybe that's just me

I see no hijacking here Cecci; anyone at all is free to host Impalongs anywhere they choose at any time of the year they choose; even if it's simultaneous with this one. And I've seen more than one at the same time before as well. The purpose of impalongs after all is to help players getting into the game, or just help players in general, as well as to have fun. Does it really matter who hosts them?
