Beware of the dwellers being not too happy about that Gems can be sold to token for a decent chunk of cash - 2c*ql for normal gems, 5c*ql for star gems (not limited by daily sell to token cap or kingdom coffers) Farwalker stones and twigs can be sold to token for 4.5s Forges, ovens, etc. produce ash while burning Salve of Frost and Potion of Acid actually work. Damage is in line with FA/FB of power ~80. They stack with normal enchants but not each other. Increased drake/dragon difficulty, rewarded hide/scale amounts scales better with number of players (more players = more loot for everyone) Vynora priests with over 60 faith will receive a 20% speed bonus when piloting boats and ships Players with >50 animal husbandry and taming skills can now lead and ride unicorns without taming and will not be aggroed by hell horses. More items that can be planted in planters: Nettles, sassafras, woad, cocoa bean, nutmeg, blueberry, lingonberry, raspberries, all mushrooms Enchanted grass is a spell available to all WL priests and can work in an area. Path of Love followers instead get a new ability on level 7 - Lovely Grove Ages or rejuvinates all trees and bushes in a 5x5 area to mature or old age, makes them grow sprouts and be harvestable regardless of season. New items: Light spear - can be used one handed with a shield. Faster and deals less damage than 2h versions. Can be made from either wood or metal staff + spear head. Circlet of protection - provides protection equivalent of a steel greathelm, while not looking like a bucket. Improves with JC. Silver lump + small anvil to start. Warhammer - 1 handed weapon with about the same damage as a longsword, uses warhammers skill. Made with large maul head + shaft. Cooking tweaks: High complexity food will now give higher nutrition gain Players with high Carbs value will receive a bonus to Mind skill gain and it's subskills Players with high Proteins value will receive a bonus to Body skill gain and it's subskills Examining food will now show more detailed CCFP and nutrition info Special and legacy items available on traders: Old presents from WO: Garden gnome, yule goat/reindeer, valentines, fireworks, picnic basket, etc. Yellow potions - gives temporary illusion Brown potion - gives 1 random affinity point Silver mirror - allows to change character looks Silver scalpel - allows to change character sex Bag of Keeping - tiny containers that stays with you after death HotA voucher - can be redeemed for HotA statue of choice Various tweaks required by the unique nature of the server badly interacting with rolfcode (mycelium decay on PVE servers, disabled BL spells, etc.) Rules Don't be a jerk. Despite BL theme, both servers are PVE server. Griefing and harassment are not allowed. Players are responsible for securing their crap. Everything not properly secured is considered free game. If you find a bug - report it, don't abuse it. All client mods are allowed as long as they aren't actively disruptive to the community or the server itself. See rule #1 Support the Server Want to support the server? Consider donating some money to it's upkeep! All leftovers will be used to buy beer to maintain my sanity after digging through rolfcode.

    How about chance for humanoids in the game.. to lurk around guard towers.. and based on some factors to .. eventually infest them and at that point attack the guards, on success convert the guard tower to humanoid spawner, working only for offdeed places, sniffing walls or houses within half the range of the tower - to bash them, and if there's a trickster making that big pen to farm humanoids... add that as a no-no to ToS. you want fun mechanics.. keep it fun for everyone ? Restoring towers... slaughtering all humanoids that have infested it.. leading to a champ spawn or 2-3-5. idk.. than some extra gimmick to restore the tower to normal one, which could have benefitial effect of +5/10ql or w/e.. for the tower... could require priest to bless the tower, could have crafting item required, signs, emotes, or w/e else... I was ok with just a troll hub to visit and restore.. this could bring the attention to certain places.. helping new players from time to time.. with their local tower making people interact with each other etc... could be a thing that cant happen to every tower for the obvious farms of 1000s of these.. but that could be ~easily fixed with range and some remembering when last tower in the area was infested.. that could imobilize every other near by tower in 1-2 locals for certain time making the farms of towers pointless if 1 event kills 10-20 potential new spawns for same delay. Probably missing something but idk, there's some food for thought. Overall ~+1 just make it something more than a dumb spawner hive o7

    Casting cleanse on a water tile: [22:49:39] This spell does not work below water. So what use is this spell on a PvE server exactly? It doesn't do anything that planting a flower and then cutting it wouldn't do; it costs more than doing it and it's not a restricted action. This needs a buff, otherwise it will never be used on PvE. ----- There doesn't appear to be any cooldown on summon soul, is this intended or just a test feature? ----- Did a bit of heal testing with Wiolo; so far the findings are not as bad as I thought, but my conclusion, with the little data I have time to harvest, is that players at rifts will quickly find themselves camped around 50%--70% resistance if they use LT weapons; and this will have a noticable imapct on their longivity. It will slow those events down; it will also hit unique hunters VERY hard (a positive change). I'd like to request some data to perform solid calculations with; specifically, what is the current rate of heal resistance gained per damage healed? Is it based on effective health, or percentage healed? I'd like to devise a formula for the LT "maintenence rate", to see if my observation holds any weight. ----- Also morning fog has little to no use at the moment, making it protect against bee stings would make it a nice touch for new priests.

This makes sense, I only play one character in Wurm because I always though having an alt just wasn't my cup of tea and I would love to play a Fo priest but the fact I cant imp or continue was not making that possible since I do a lot of solo play. I thought some of the restrictions for the gods made sense except the fact you couldn't imp or continue. I think if they did a slight rework of the restrictions to be specific to the god and took away the imp and continue restrictions then that would make a priest as a main character more viable. What they plan to do from these notes makes a little sense with the spells and the lifting the continue restriction but getting rid of the other restrictions while still having the imping restriction makes no sense at all. If I need to do something that is against my god I will just click the faithful button do what I need, pray and continue on since most times what I need to do doesn't take that long except imping. I stopped being a Fo priest because I couldn't do anything like build or imp things to get better equipment, it made a priest as a main impossible to play.

    Ok, I've edited the first post with an URL to the new version of the map generator. The sample properties file generates this map attached below, using the provided biomemap.png image. Just run the program from the extracted directory and press the "Render Map" button, it will generate everything.

    It is an unfinished beehive with several pottery flowerpots inside (you have to rotate the flowerpots a bit to make the flowers spread out better ). My deed must be lag-haven by now

    Rebirth nerf Rebirth was already pretty lame compared to domination. You can dominate more kinds of "monster" than you can rebirth. When you dominate your pet it have the same age. When rebirthing a troll you will have max. "aged", even when it was venerable before. Rebirth only work once, while you can dominate a monster again after it got untame. Dunno why taming, or better pets dont get some love. You pretty much raise taming to a very high level only for riding hellhorses, which then get often damage from mobs while riding... Even when i love having pets, it just doesnt doesnt make much sense to use one. When killing mobs you also gain less fs. But there arent any changes to make taming/charming/dominating/rebirthing better it even gets worse and worse over time... ______ Oakshell Oakshell was for me only usefull when casting on pets, because who doesnt wear any armor at all!? (beside that monkguy here *g*) But that spell didnt got only nerfed the resistance value, it got rendered useless at all, because it can only be casted on players and only on chaos. I bet this spell will now never get used again…

    Each skill in the DB now has an ID which is server bound. So it's not possible to transfer skills directly between server DBs, this is what is causing corruption. To transfer skills in the DB, you need to generate specific skill IDs - it's not easily done. The server checks that the ID-chain is unbroken on start. Instead, you can transfer skills programmatically while in the server, by loading the skills in-game from a DB-file, and then set the skills to those values. I've published a mod that does just that:

    Well docker could help there, if preconfigured smart with some good auto configuration inbuilt into the server. Yeah yeah, so much to do, we are still working on bringing the grindy part to smartphones, so you can do that while on train/bus or whatever. Wurm GO

    Pretty cool changes, a lot better than before. Still I think there are too many hills and not enough flat areas and also not enough mountains, the whole map feels like a hilly area. We found out that a good combination of big mountains and beautiful looking flat areas and valleys works best in Wurm Unlimited. So we worked with a lot tools and our own dirt dropping algorithm to get a map which comes close to the Wurm Online maps and even closer to the old maps notch made back in the days like Chaos and Gold 2 JKH. Would be really cool if there would be a map generator which comes very close to the style of what WO maps have been in the past.

    If any devs want consultation on enabling Lib on PVE/Freedom servers - talk to me I have a WU server running with it for almost 3 years now and the amount of changes needed is pretty minimal.

    Oh sweetie... HughMongus, thank you for your post. You've contradicted yourself and proved all my points. Thank you for admitting you made no effort to contact me beyond waiting for me to appear in game at the same time as you - nevermind that we are on opposite time zones. I have always been able to be contacted through this forum, as many folks have done over the years, even when I'm away from the game. The rest of your post is just your usual sad attempt to champion yourself as some kind of Wurm saint. The highway was never blocked or made unusable while I built the bridge, the rice paddy came after the bridge, and the love tile was next to the rice paddy, and oak trees sprout themselves. I've now undone the whole mess myself, including the removal of your "ramps" up the sides of the bridge - sorry, I never saw you in game, so I couldn't talk to you about it. Thanks and goodnight.

    There are ways to set up missions so you can have multiple people attend and help out to complete. It's a lot more work than a regular quest setup. For instance, on one of the quests on Ereb Altor, (spoiler alert) there are four statues that players need to stand and "channel" while another player goes into the opened doorway. The more statues the players can channel, the further they can get. They need to stand at the statues and not move. Single player can get one statue going and one loot, two players two..etc. If you set up the missions in a more complex way you can do some cool mechanics. You can have a dummy mission that holds the delay.

    Just turn up when the rift starts lots of people will be there. Bring a tent and a horse. Do not ride a tamed creature or use a cart or wagon as the rift mobs will kill any hitched or led animals. If your fs isn't very high stay with the group and if something targets you then just back off. If you are low on health and can't get mobs off you then just leave the rift zone.. they will not chase and will bounce back so you can cotton up. There are 3 waves each a little harder then the last. If you stay with everyone else I'm sure you will do fine

    Not having deeds on a server does not mean no income, income comes from people having deeds on other servers and sticking with Wurm as their game of choice and not leaving because they are bored. The picture of mobs on Chaos, I laugh, one in a million picture, we can not find enuff mobs to hunt so we sail to Deli to hunt. A new server with no deeds allowed would be a vacation destination server for fun and return home to live type of situtation. Keeping Wurm alive with out killing off new people and those who do not wish to have their home deeds raided by rampaging hordes of monsters. A common place for those who like grouping up and making new friends while doing so. Best point for the Devs would be a server that they could try new things, mobs, even rules sets for armor, loot , fighting etc with out disturbing the flow of normal life in Wurm. Test is nice but who really goes to test and has a fully decked out toon to Really test the subject matter?

    I just managed to catch a copper lantern from a treasure hunt at 80 dmg (i never use it). It's stored in inventory, really? Big +1 from me. Plz fix!

    Yes please. It seems to decay pretty quickly as well. +1 to no decay on unlit lanterns. I don't mind needing to remember to turn it off before logging.

    valentines also decayed in inventory. Was sad to see all 50+ I had on merchants vanish while I was away on a break. Fortunately my merchant lanterns only had 50-60%decay when I got back.

    +1 this for the 3rd time. Haven't used my rare lantern in a few months and has so much damage on it from in my inventory. I don't even light the lamp and it's never turned on. Don't know why an unlit lantern of all things would decay in inventory when nothing else does besides food. I guess lanterns are eatable?

    +1 this is another TLC thing i mentioned before that needs to be fixed. It is a really easy fix too - just need to add a line to check if it is snuffed before it decays as being light....

    I think this is still going on. My unlit rare lantern has 10dmg on it and I don't ever have it lit.
