Found some pics around the forums on older (but still damn cool) statues I would love to be able to make even though they are lower ql than the ones we currently have, always nice with extra!

Volunteering to enhance the graphics to current standards - no problem. +1 Perhaps, as legacy statues, they can be gained through archeology or something, even.

Hi This is for those of you that find themselves listless in the aftermath of the personal goal rush. Wurm is about freedom and pride in ones own freedom. (achieving things you love doing) i believe that the personal goal has engineered many psyches towards doing what codeclub, wants you to do.. instead of that which keeps you playing. Many people have left because they don't know what to do with themselves to say nothing of internal infractions caused by the panic to `win`. titling the achievement `winner` is in my humble opinion, quite perverse. To win the game you need to find your niche and love it. results in a truer kind of pride than that which others expect of us. That's always been the way.. keeps you playing, free will is an important psycho-motive component. since everyone got obsessed by personal goals, this concept has been somewhat lost, by many. the question `what now..` lasted for very few seconds for most of us, once upon a time. But now im getting more and more reports of the question getting stuck in peoples minds. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a complaint or even, about me.. i saw the danger and walked away till it plays out, i'm still subscribed and i will return without any desire to achieve my, personal goal. If you can relate to this condition or have friends that are battling it.. just try to remember what drove you before this happened maybe have a break, while you do. If you love the game and you excel at what you're good at, in it. Both you and the game wins. well done. And the best of blessings for the years to come.

So today I got a drum roll whilst praying and happened to get a gem from the wonderful Fo himself. However, I was rather shocked to find out, upon checking my inventory, that said gem had not turned rare. After confirming that there were no bugs in play here (see logs below), and that drum rolls whilst praying are basically useless, I decided to make this thread to ask that if you receive a drum roll whilst praying, and happen to get an item (be it a gem, a flint, or a measly little mushroom) in the process, that it be rare/supreme/fantastic. After all, it does seem fitting, considering for pretty much every other action there's, at the very least, a chance of getting a rare/supreme/fantastic from successfully completing the action. Help urgently needed to track down a runaway rare coconut. As you know, our beloved staff member Shrimpiie collects rare food. We do not judge. Anyone who has admired his marvellous collection could not help but notice the single (just the one, mind) rare coconut. - surely the most valuable piece in the collection. Unfortunately we have reason to believe that Shrimpiie's rare coconut has recently escaped. Yes. Please don't panic. We understand it is 'at large' somewhere in the World, but where it is exactly, we are not sure. (Even if you can't quite capture an image of the coconut, please post a picture of the location anyway, so we can start to plot its path.) We must track down this missing nut. "Now what?" This is the correct question in Wurm. I think, if you are asking yourself this question, you're doing it right However, you cannot really expect the answer to come from someone else. You have to find your "next". That's the pain and the virtue of a sandbox game. When someone else starts telling you what to do next ... then it is just another mainstream MMO. New players most often struggle understanding it, though, and in their case a little "nudge" to the right direction is necessary. Personal goals, being more topical than ever, is not really a race to "win the game". It's just another thing to do on your list. And do this. If you cannot find your "next", take some time off. Play real life or other games. Life is a sandbox, too Personally I've got many things on to-do list and more often than not I find myself doing completely new things. I never planned to domesticate and breed 5-speed trolls, but.. one thing led to another.

Nobody bothered to ask me before destroying my rice paddy to plant catseyes in my perimeter, across the entrance to my boat cave that was still being dug and dredged. HughMongus so very kindly offered to give me a bunch of catseyes after-the-fact, if I would change my deed settings to allow the catseyes over the bridge. I asked him to remove the ones he and/or his friends planted in my perimeter, first. He laughed at me and said I had a vivid imagination, and has not touched them since. So, my permissons have remained, and will remain until someone works to remove those in place. I never wanted to allow catseyes on my deed, and thought I had made that very clear before their introduction. Extending the coastline at my deed's edge and tearing up the rice field to bypass my deed was a shady, spiteful way to go about it, and definitely hasn't made me keen to be helpful and cooperative.

At the end of the day this is all going to boil down to player greed on the market. Letting people make money from Wurm is the worst decision that the developers of this game have ever made and I stand by that.

Update ImproverBot can improve leather items

The old demon statue was top notch imo (plus it adds lore that there may be more "demon race" people like Libila as you notice the statues share some characteristics with her)

*marble statues are possible and since they are white they can be dyed quite well (bottom are dyed stone statues and top one is dyed marble statue) otherwise I agree....I would love to have things like wooden coffins, benches or with other materials at some point

On the other hand this kind of idiocy is really handy to keep the WU communities thriving so, xiè xiè. I won't deny a certain degree of schadenfreude resulting from watching you guys squirm over the lack of new players to sell stuff to while simultaneously making sure that new players have as few reasons as possible to stay. yea I tend to die a lot since my body control isn't 21 and I don't have my horse yet.

Runescape has locked prices on items, something i brought up before, that reduces the impact of the increased playerbase on a cheaper plan. runescape's also had a problem with massive bot farms for years, which isn't helped by the cheaper membership in other countries. Wurms economy is entirely go set whatever prices you want and let the market decide, which doesn't work well unless everyone has the same entrance fee. If someone was playing from a country with the normal price membership, he'd have to make more money than someone from the cheaper premium country to get the same amount of gametime. Cheaper options only work if there's game enforced limits or there isn't RMT/RMT is extremely limited. Xanadu is hosted in the same place all the other servers are, you have the exact same ping to every single wurm server. Xanadu has server-side lag which is completely separate from your connection. VPN would barely effect the connection as there's lower income countries quite close to germany that yuo could get a vpn in.

IMO don't make comparisons what others claim as success in wurm make you feel like you are not succeeding. Their success is not your defeat. Your true success in Wurm is doing things you enjoy doing. With that you will become a true master and really win in this Game. In short find your happy place.

my philosophy on wurm is such.. if i never strive for any big goals then i just never really reach an end.. so instead i like to travel around and check out what other people have done.. there is so much more i could do and i like it that way, it keeps me coming back and paying prem.. nah if somebody told me i had to do this or that or earn such and such i'd be gone faster than a nickel in a begger's cup....so maybe one day ill decide what mark i would like to leave on the face of Wurm, and hopefully there are some people around to scratch there heads or maybe enjoy it....

Endgame is such a weird thing because if you don't have it, then there is a lack of motivation to reach something, but if you do have it then when you reach it what is there to do? I won all tomes from valrei on epic, I've won the game several times already in hopes of replacing those on freedom too, I've ascended and had my own religion, I was the ruler of a kingdom for a while, I got 100 in a skill 4 times with 2 that are close that I don't have the motivation to finish, I've got 90-99+ in every crafting skill, I hatched my own dragon, I've killed many of every unique, I don't even know what else there is to add in. Current "goal" is to complete at least one of every mask/statue from archaeology which is going fast. I say it all the time on the forums but damn, the only reason I still login is because I don't play alone. Wurm needs more fun "endgame" content to strive for though I guess. Or even more events that don't have to be horse races or mazes

Playing as Alexandra on server and found it very, very addictive. Mods are amazing. Creating construction materials with spells is "must have" features for builders. Don't have too much time for game lately, but will try to be in game as much as I can.

The word 'endgame' upsets me, I don't want this game to end.

Yesterday, at approximately 4:45pm (PST), I completed my personal goals. I was elated from the moment it happened, and at the praise in GL-freedom. About ten minutes later I was just standing around, messing with the catapult I had just used to complete my personal goals, and I asked my friend who was in local... What do I do now? Cry? Move on to an alt? And his response was 'Something like that' lol. I didn't know what to do with myself, so I logged off. I was wondering where this feeling came from, but now I have a have a better picture ? I'm not angry, but I just need to shake myself back to doing exactly what I've been doing all along. Wurm is about doing what you love; find a skill to try, keep yourself adventuring.. If you're not having fun doing whatever it is you're into that day, move onto a different task, get a snack or maybe take a short break Don't lose yourselves to personal goals ❤️ Take time for yourself, and have some fun! Go help others, it'll remind you what the wurm community is all about.

I understand that, for sure. The GM has added some really great mods that aren't yet available elsewhere. That said, there are quite a lot of really good servers out there. I think your best bet is just to hop around them for awhile until you find one that you like. Just a tip, something I learned the hard way: when players really love their server, they sometimes grossly overreact to criticism. Probably safer to wait until you're well-established in the community before making suggestions. And there is never going to be an okay time to criticize any of the GMs, but I'm sure you already know that! Good luck in your explorations!

I had this same experience on a different server where everyone else seemed happy enough. My experiences of Calysto have been very positive, though. I think that we need to just keep server-hopping until we find the one(s) that are a match for us, personally. Sorry you had a bad experience with this group, and I wish you luck in finding one that fits you better.

If and even I know that is one of the biggest if's out there, they do bring about teleports. If that isn't something you wish to do, then by all means please use the boats or horseback or whatever you wish to use. There are so many things that are not forced on anyone but folks think it will affect their immersion. I don't like long travels and would love to be able to quickly go somewhere for a hunt or whatever strikes my fancy. With only so many hours in a day, you kind of have to decide if that time will be used making a long trip somewhere or just staying close to home.

that the receive mail and return mail tick boxes are right next to each other , makes it easy to return stuff by mistake, . And there is no way to rectify that mistake.

Sacrifice all your keys, the only use they have is for merchant sales pens.

If you have ownership and manage permissions on all the gates then I see no problem in saccing away the keys. My current workflow is: create locks -> sacc keys immediately -> use locks. In case you are unsure on some locks I'd recommend to replace lock to a new one on that gate / item first.

I wouldn’t worry about comparing your progress to others. Some sre grinders who own or have access to top level priests and can do a 1-90 run so fast it will make your head spin. Some prefer to never grind any skill and only achieve through construction or normal tasks they give themselves. I usually grind in small increments for a purpose. Like wanting to be able to provide myself high QL crops for cooking or sac material. Farming was my first 90+ skill, or getting a couple more points of carpentry to finish the last floor of my castle. Just enjoy the game and play your way. the skills will come on their own then.

Honestly, I jump all over the place. I am very heavy on the nature categories, but some days I feel like grinding BS (79.x), some days it's NS/Alchemy, beverages, or even very very occasionally mining/prospecting. I hate grinding the same thing day after day. By "going where the wind blows" I have avoided burnout.

I got 90 fs off of purely hunting and I wouldnt mind it at all. You know, when you think about it, it's not really cool to say "I (or someone else) did it the hard way, so should everyone else", when you consider that hard way means it's simply nearly impossible due to game limitations (hard cap on animals) It took me almost two full years of 4-5 days hunting a week to go from 75 to 90 fs, becuase of the lack of animals... Not to mention, the person in your example hunted a massive size pvp server with minimal population, so it has a lot of wildlife. But it's not fair to expect people who want to hunt (pve) to go to a pvp server for it...
