so how does removing kingdoms from the map encourage more pvp, frustration is just a justification and nothing else I didn't see much raiding on wild so I cannot comment there. Early epic and the first couple years, raiding was pretty simple, we only had the goal of a drain as a "win", and we only destroyed as much as one wall per house. We looted only what was an upgrade, or fancy stuff like gems. If someone died to us we outright told them we aren't interested in camping them or killing them a second time so we wont seek them out but if they attack us obviously we will kill them. We had friendly conversations in local with many enemy. I've even spent time in irc talking to enemy afterwards giving tips and ideas on how to improve their deed or better tactics to defend. Somewhere along the line this slowly turned into every side adding in more and more griefing and looting to the point where we in mr nuked a deed with wrath of magranon in retaliation to make it stop happening to us. The change in raiding ethics along with the sheer boredom of it completely turns me off to it. But ofc it still happened, and often as the main groups of players deeds got stronger, the targets for raids became the easy pickings of noobs/newer/inexperienced players which while people will sit there spiting chips crying how you don't pvp if you say this is bad, it's very bad. It's outright toxic to player retention, and in practically every situation I've seen, its the aggressors claiming it's to encourage them to pvp I don't care how legit intentions are by anyone of any kingdom in this thread or otherwise. If you make it faster to raid legitimately, such as removing war deeds or just simple drains, the fact of the matter is that it flat out will be abused in toxic ways

In the beginning I enjoyed raiding then it came to the point where it was too much effort vs reward and more often than not just rage inducing from people who wont listen and do stupid things. Somewhere along the line I decided I was ok with this for the health of the game, yes there are people who very much enjoy the land control aspect but there are also those who enjoy stomping on people for the sake of it and I believe this is not healthy. Everyone wants pvp but if you want to take everything people own, kill all their horses and leave them with not even tools to restock then chances are they aren't going to bother and then you have no one to pvp with. Not everyone will quit after they log in to find they have nothing left but I have seen a lot will and do, some will weather this a few times but come to the same end. Maybe I'm biased because I have always enjoyed open field combat more than raiding but to me it just makes sense, leave people with their homes and horse stocks so that they can keep coming back out if and when they are ready but you cant force people to pvp and you certainly can stop them even thinking of trying if you destroy their homes. The change to allow bashing from inside the mine wasn't really a change, it was in for as long as I can remember (I clearly remember having to do it when the Mongol hota tunnel kept getting walled shut) it was an accidental change from some other fix and got reverted back pretty quickly. I guess the TL;DR for me is, I don't really care that its not fair or too hard, I'd prefer that we retain players and there be people to maybe pvp with if and when the population gets better.

Raiding philosophy is a big reason why raiding deeds is mostly fine the way it currently is. 30 copper isn't the reason raiders visit enemy deeds. Loot, kills, territory contesting and griefing (from least to most important in that order) are the reason people raid deeds. Disbanding a deed allows the capture of towers, forces the enemy to re-cap or bash the tower in order to replace the deed, but like all things PvP it is a numbers game that right now only one kingdom can win. If I were a developer, the last people I would be listening to about why raiding needs to be made easier is the one kingdom that is able to raid pancake any deed at will. You cry about how hard mine doors are to bash, yet you walk right through them. You complain about disintegrate, but I have watched you surface mine into sealed off (reinforced) tunnels in person. You complain about "5 shots per 3 walls" but neglect to mention that treb damage is no longer capped at 20 damage per hit. Your complaints about the difficulty of raiding are purely self serving and without merit.

One thing though, we took the fight. We defended the deed, I've spent my vacation rocking 30 + hours spamming bricks and mortars. I personally stayed up 48 hours straight making sure we didn't break and we didn't. For you who didn't know the raid took part for six days straight with a max of 8 hours of break to as little as 2 hours break per day An argument that often shows up that people like to paint is that this was easily done , I can assure you that it was not. This took blood , sweat and a lot of long hours for us to pull together. One of many on our discord channel , ofc not everyone is like me , but don't say it was easy defending this. ADDITION : Many more people in Panda did a simular thing , I was not alone doing this.

2007? That was over a decade ago... "Granted it's very outdated in terms of deed design and method of entry, but it still holds the same principles and values." Are you joking? I mean sure the American Civil War is definitely the same core principles and values as World War II. Two sides... different governments... wanting to do things their own way... shooting each other... with guns... and cannons... Very similar yes. Wurm in 2007 was as comparable to Wurm today as flintlock pistols can be compared to automatic rifles. In 2007 there was no multistory housing, there was no horse breeding, there was no rare system, there was no real game market and actual dollar value attached to items, there was no proliferation of drake and scale, there was no moon metal. The loss of materials and items in the modern Wurm is a very big deal, in fact its almost the defining deal with how the current PvP world is built. So having your deed broken in to and having all your stuff stolen is a very big deal. Losing your animal breeding operation is a big deal. Having to spend hundreds of dollars on new equipment/rare materials so you aren't completely outclassed in weapons and armor is a big deal. In the past you could literally just replace anything. You could replace the PvP sets of an entire kingdom within a single day with a solid effort. In the Old World of Wurm PvP it was not a big deal to lose everything and was very fun. But that world is gone. Stuff is important. Losing all your stuff is a big deal. Making it EASIER for enemies to take all your stuff is a big deal. I feel weird having to point this out... but making it harder to defend yourself is a terrible way to promote PvP. Making it harder to build, maintain, and defend deeds is basically telling players not to bother trying to PvP. Because everything you do will be broken, destroyed, stolen, and then mocked for even making the attempt. Should that always be a possibility/threat? Yes. Does that mean it should be made so simple it can be done in a single afternoon by half a dozen people? No.

Well i don't blame Panda for not taking the fight vs TC here, like why would they? They have zero chance of winning and just a lot to loose. Problem is that you more or less have to have gear worth over 100€ to even be viable in PVP unless you have the numbers and right now TC is the kingdom that outclass pretty much all other kingdoms on chaos when it comes to number and gear. Not their fault tho more impressive that they managed to keep people around really. Implement the Epic armour code and balance raiding more n cause to be able to repair from inside a mine for example shouldn't be possible. I mean people will be way mroe careful to pvp when it is 100€ worth of gear on the line... To make raiding a lot more easy wouldn't make any difference part from the big kingdom being alone cause constantly rebuilding deeds sucks and people would just give up and leave. Im glad Panda is around on Chaos even tho it sucks to try to raid them they do come out at times, they went to our deed in the middle of the night for most of us and stole boats etc, they are just like other kingdoms and choose their times. Wouldn't make much sense for them to attack us when they know we would have a lot more numbers then them..they would just end up dying and losing their gear if so.

Regardless of whatever changes people plan to implement, it will require voices from literally everyone so a certain kingdom who happens to be the most vocal, doesn't just freight train their ideas to the top. I do generally agree with @Madtbut I think it goes beyond mentality, the game itself has changed to an unplayable state for pvp, the accounts keep getting more stacked, and honestly the people playing the game are just not good people (a lot of sore winners). Everyone who is still on pvp servers have been on pvp servers for a long freakin' time, they are using this long term knowledge to really stack themselves up.

Went to repair a slate shingle roof to find that it doesn't use slate shingles which are 7.5kg to repair, but slate shards which are 20kg to repair. I know most things repair with the material used to create, for example you repair a stone wall with a stone brick, a rounded stone wall with a rounded stone brick, I suggest you repair roofs the same way. Thatch for thatch roof instead of plank, pottery shingle instead of clay for pottery roofs, etc. Gets a bit tricky when you get to the floors, using bricks to repair slab floors but I think slabs would be good too tbh.

So then let's talk about a fix for the scenario you just described. Make it so that a kingdom may only have a specific number of deeds per % interval of Chaos territory conquered by chained towers. As an example; (though I think the number of deeds this would allow could still be a little high and would definitely need adjusting) 1 deed may be constructed per 1% of land territory conquered, plus the capital. So the capital is free and doesn't count toward this interval. Past 5% this interval would increase to say every 1.5 to 2%, and increase by the same amount every interval of 5% after. EG at 10%, 15%, and 20%, so on. This would help to incentivize strategic deed placement, and prevent deed spam. It prevents any one kingdom from growing too large, as the bigger you get the less deeds you will have to secure that territory. But of course, this doesn't benefit any one single kingdom. In fact, this would hinder pretty much all of them, including big-soyboi-on-top OP.

I've been following this thread and the long discussion in discord. I was gonna write out a big long post on my opinion but I'm on my phone writing this and I hate typing big posts on my phone. Basically a few things seem clear to me: * The mentality of some groups living on chaos has changed over time. People now expect to be extremely safe on their deeds and don't really want to be raided or do any raiding of their own. This is not how things should be, it's not how chaos is supposed to be. Killing, pillaging and looting are supposed to be a frequent occurance. If you think otherwise, you don't belong on a pvp server. It's like you're trying to grow flowers on a football field and expecting everyone to not run through your pretty flowers. Take your flowers elsewhere. * People have forgotten what raiding is. The people afraid of being raided have either forgotten or never knew what a regular raid actually is. I blame this on EMR mostly. Their mindset when they started raiding was to turbo nerd and completely destroy almost every deed they raided. They wouldn't just raid, loot and leave. They would raid for several days straight and literally destroy the deed so the defenders just said 'F this, why bother...' and left. That is not how a regular raid works out unless it's for territory control. Nobody will do that to a Capitol deed because then as many people have said, there will be nobody left to play against. This is is what a regular raid looks like. This video sealed the deal for me on wanting to join the pvp part of Wurm way back in 2007. ^ That's a normal raid. Granted it's very outdated in terms of deed design and method of entry, but it still holds the same principles and values. Attackers break in, defenders repair and fend off best they can. Once in the attackers gain entry they kill guards and bust a hole in each house and see what loot they can get. They leave, defenders repair the damage and resupply what was looted. The loss is worth it on a good raid because both sides have fun. Sometimes the kingdom that got attacked would do a retaliation raid the next weekend. My point is, being raided doesn't mean your deed is going to be absolutely destroyed and flattened. I see a lot of people keep saying that. Any smart kingdom knows that demoralising your enemy to the point they up and leave the server is a stupid idea. It leaves nobody for them to fight. As I said before, EMR never really cared about that when they raided and I think they actually wanted to wipe their enemies off the map so they could push for a map reset. Atleast that's what I remember them mentioning a lot. TC is smarter than that. We all want to see a thriving server full of big groups, small groups. Roaming pvp, weekly raids, active HoTA fights. Because that is what's fun for us, we like pvp. What would be the point in destroying any chance of that ever happening again? Ive made a long post when I intended not to and now I'm sick of typing with just my thumbs. Hopefully that gets the point across. Instead of just putting up a block and rejecting any reasoning or progressive discussion, think about it. Chaos is a pvp server where raiding and pvp should be happening very regularly. If it continues like it is now, eventually the server will die.

Works for me, slight graphical issues with distant trees and shrubs... as I move they sometimes fall back on lower resolution textures and come back to normal. Before I had medium to high settings and was generally 55-62fps while capping at 60fps. I've now cranked my settings to near max and I am still around 54-62fps most everywhere I look, including Sweetsusie's 35 coalpiles lol. I have shadows, reflections, view distances, animations all maxed. Have not played with the FXAA or anti-ailising stuff, usually leave it off as it was always a killer for fps in wurm. FX-8350 8-core @ 4.2ghz 16gb ram Normal HDD's in raid, not SSD RX580 8gb red devil graphics Great work was done here, this is awesome! @JonydowyI'd like to see how your 1000x coal piles affect performance now

I'm seeing a lot of bull#### here. Namely just ego's being thrown around. "I'm the best and I've been around the longest and because I haven't seen something that means it's never happened." Empire MR literally was one giant raid spree. Raided almost daily for 2 years. We dealt with this kind of #### on a daily basis and we didn't complain about it nearly as much as you folk. And that was LONG before you could damage up to 12 walls with one single Treb shot. Mechanically speaking raiding is currently easier than it's EVER been in the history of the game. 600 slope dirtwalls and trenches have always been possible. Nothing there has changed. But now you have opponents who are skilled enough to use them against you. Not so fun when that happens is it? All things considered Proph your points might come across better if you didn't constantly try and play the "High and Mighty" card, because tbh from my reading here, you're starting to seem more like a general self-interested ###hat, and you really aren't impressing anyone here. Just making a negative impression and giving those who oppose you fuel for fire when you get your ego involved man. Raiding DOES take a long time. And it SHOULD, to keep things like Sparta from happening again. Make raiding too easy, and you have deeds being removed from the map without a trace in as little as 48 hours. This has ALWAYS been the way it has been. Was during EMR's time. Is now. If you want to successfully raid you need to have a strong force on all timezones. Not just one, because one timezone worth of people won't have the time required to make something like this happen. Again that has been the case ever since I started playing Wild nearly 7 years ago now. Nothing has changed, defensively. I agree that repairing things on surface from inside cave layer is a bit odd and broken, shouldn't be done. Shame it was done on Pandas side but, apparently you folks were well aware of it so you should have been expecting it and adapted your tactics to accommodate. Btw the incomplete wall thing you mention in OP had a fix put in for it years ago, can you guess who abused it?

You are asking for this because you have failed to raid a deed. A deed which was actively defended... for days. I understand that you are frustrated with your failure. However, you are also asking for this when you don't have experience defending a deed under the current system. So you can not have a balanced perspective on this matter. Sounds like you really only care about making the game better for yourself, not better for the community. Bugs should be fixed, but raiding mechanics do not need changing. There are other, vastly more important, PvP features which deserve attention at this moment.

Intermittent crashes or freezes are horrible, using a "game hoster" or not. Servers have died and been shut down for less. This will at at the very least help pinning down possible problems that may be introduced by a mod, a combination of mods or just plain old server bugs. I wrote this software to assist me in tracking down problems on a server that was getting intermittent freezes -- and it was rare enough that you want to be able to nail it when it first happens -- alas, I was not clairvoyant enough -- so here we have this mod -- a tad bigger than I thought it would become. I share it because I know I will rely on it in the future. It's a bit of a mish-mash of things (*), but I left it all in there as configurable options. It grew out of me eliminating causes of a problem. It was a server where I did not have any access, issue was not reproducible on a test server, and had an absolute crap-ton of mods. Read: I like a challenge (har har). Later on it it also grew into a tool to help me optimize the server code (or at least my behaviour around it). I have to say it's quite pleasant to be able to pinpoint and measure execution cost without modifying actual source code; I may actually start using a similar approach in non-hobby projects. Dumps If you have full control over your environment and have the technical abilities you may want to hook up some external tools to solve a lot of your problems. That said, this program can also output a stack and/or thread dump if it detects slow calls in a monitored area. It may even be easier to use this than other tools. Note that in many cases this will only point you in the direction of the problem. It could still mean you have a lot of work to do from there (i.e. chasing calls down the chain with more monitoring). The server is half-decent at tracking laggy calls itself (albeit a lot less granularity than what is possible using this), aaand provided the call actually finishes! The original usage of the monitor.* properties outlined in the config file below was to distinguish it from a complete freeze or something else (the problem was rare enough that I threw things on the wall to see what stuck). That said, you can monitor execution cost of any method on the server (to pinpoint strange hot areas) -- and attach possible interesting objects from that context ... to really nail it. To do this, use the monitor.* setting below. You can add as many of those as you may need. It's a pretty powerful tool and if I wasn't chasing a bug I'd start looking at a few spots I have taken notes of where I can optimize the actual WU server (optimizing -is- fun). Hard to reproduce exceptions Funnily enough, it turns out this is a great way to pin down intermittent exceptions. If you add a monitor to a call that takes place in a stack trace -- and wait (without much pain), if that call never finishes (i.e. it threw an exception), a warning will be printed in the log (options to include traces as well). To get the detail of which object is the offending one (say a specific creature), add an argument to the monitor (e.g. $0 for this). For a few special cases (like Zone), instead of just grabbing toString() of the object I output e.g. zone X/Y. I intend to add more humanly readable strings of object as I need them, but yeah, it's primarily toString() at the moment. Combine arguments to a monitor with a full thread dump on a slow call and any freezing or hanging problem should become evident rather quickly. Albeit rather spammy if you let it hang too long. A few warnings Monitoring methods will likely not play well with recursive methods, monitor those from the "outside" (never tried it) Monitoring methods that might be called by several threads simultaneously will get dodgy, no doubt (never tried it). Performance impact This mod is written with performance in mind, even if you choose to monitor tight loops it should not affect performance *too* much. The idea is that you can have this running on a live server and just wait for the problem to happen. That said, be aware that it does add a bit of overhead. And might be noticeable in hot tight loops. The cost of having something nice... Searching in spammy logs In order to find warnings in very spammy logs, search for "Hey Friya" (I kept it in there because I could) -- any offender will be tagged with those words. If you find too many "Hey Friya"'s, it probably means your slow call thresholds are too low -- set them higher. (*) the mish-mash: Dump methods calls in a method (in a format for easy copy/pasting for monitoring.* Log a brief version of data stream coming to and/or going from the server Logging of all actions created (read: new Action()), whether by NPC's or Players Slow mod detection; monitoring default mod hooks Monitor if main loop is still ticking Dump all classes modified by Javassist (I do not decompile them for you ) Dump thread info on slow running calls Monitor itself (! okay, this is a lie, but it will output a message every now and then to indicate this) A few more pointless monitoring options (they all sit in the same thread -- hence pointless) Storage of monitored methods executed since entering a hooked method (this helps determine the code path taken through a method) Various options to specify frequency at which things can happen Dump stack-trace on completion of a slow call Dump stack-trace of a monitored call that is still running ... and a few more things. Well, outta here. Cya on the flip side. Example of a properties file: Download latest version (install like any other server mod)

HI, I'm still here, and still asking please could we have flower seeds, and please flower beds that are not ugly. And flower arches, and flower tiles with flowers like a garden. Or like the other player suggested, meadow tiles. Hedges with lovely flowers. And rose bushes that have ROSES. Im not going anywhere for some time, and will probably make this suggestion again, .. and I am NOT alone in this, many of us would like more options to make WURM pretty. ENKI YOU'RE THE MAN, MAKE IT SO. THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFUL CONSIDERATION.

One idea i had is having Holy Crop give all Fo followers a long (maybe a day or even week-long) temporary affinity in nature-related skills and possibly something like the noob buffs (reduced aggro and increased healing). For mag it could be a timed affinity for mining and fighting-related skills + CR buff (like you get from the potions) . It's really hard to come up with bonuses that are comparable to 5hr of SB in usefulness tbh. The main limit is always the 1k god-favor per follower i think. On a sidenote - if the bonuses/sb also applied to offline players it would reduce the amount of drama related to people "ninja-casting" them by a few orders of magnitude.
  21. 2 points
It would have that effect, but for the sake of improving the quality of the game I'd say that's a fair consequence to have to endure. Wurm isn't supposed to be a RL money making machine. It's a perk, but not a vital part of it.

I agree with you, I don't have a problem with losing all my stuff and have a few times. I enjoy defending too. The problem is that if you balance it for the people who will raid 'thoughtfully' it just makes it all the more easier for those who have the mentality of hur dur lets stomp on everyone and we have seen over and over that these people do exist and they do harm the game. Id rather see changes that start bringing in a more healthy population to have some fun with before we make changes that could essentially secure the death of wurm pvp. Sure raiding can be fun but is it fun if there isn't anyone around? Maybe wurm needs to look at a different direction, maybe it doesn't, all I can comment on is the behaviour I have seen over the years.

It would be amazing if you could actually use the two barrels under the Bar Tables to hold liquids like normall barrels. Then we could fill them with beer and fill up people's mugs when they put it on top of the bar, for a whole bartender experience! 2 barrels so 2 separate containers of 45kg each? Just a thought!

I have personally raided many deeds that are set up very alike to the ones you possess now. In fact, I raided most of the southern deeds you now possess when they were in the hands of Black Legion. Your deed farthest SW from Shroud is set up nearly exactly the same now as it was then, I can show you screenshots, and we raided it several times with no problems. Granted Black Legion were vastly inexperienced, but that has nothing to do with it since you're claiming it's a fault of the mechanics. Also it's pretty clear that this hasn't been thought out nearly at all from the standpoint of a defender. You are constantly moaning and #####ing about there being no one on Chaos. No one plays PvP. It's so broken... But yet you, the same folks, are encouraging changes that will make it so that no one will ever want to play PvP again. You want to make it next to impossible for any potential new kingdoms to start up and become stronger. You want raiding to be piss easy so you can just take every ones stuff. No new players are going to go for this dude. You don't want to fight MR, you want people back to PvP but you don't want MR to come back to PvP. So your only option is enticing new freedomers into it. And these changes are so heavily stacked against them, that you're never going to see any of them migrating toward PvP in our lifetime if these changes get made for you. Still hoping that the devs listening to these bitchfests have more common sense than you.
  26. 2 points
Well tbh, if all small kingdom have deeds they cant defend cause the bigger group come to push them off. The game already costs a lot of money if ppl keep taking drains on the deeds. so making deeds easy to raid that took the small group of players along time to build not rly fair. only ppl that gonna benefit from easy raiding is the stronger group.

I can almost smell that "pushing your own agenda" thing again here so you can benefit even further like this game sadly works. Whine enough and that kingdom with most folks gets change happen. I cant really argue with raiding being super slow and not really worth the effort, some changes to game mechanics are required, but that attitude of you guys saying, you dont peeveepee so you cant post here is utter BS. Then you guys wonder why people leaving chaos or not coming at all, its because of that attitude of yours. You dont give them any reasons to stay, so why would they? You guys already can sum up 20+ dudes easily for a raid with drake sets/scale/mm stuff + that neat map tool you have on use + you guys actually know how pvp here works vs so many others... maybe recruit a bit more, maybe raiding gets easier and you can try to force that merge you were talking about, since not enough enemies. Sheeps will join strongest kingdom to learn and mostly just to benefit, that will never change sadly, then we scratch our head when there aint enough pvp when over half of pvp folks are in same kingdom and the most active ones. Keep doing hotas and enjoy those new statues you guys were granted and sell them to pay your rent... ehm deed upkeeps. and aye it is rightfully yours for taking as the strongest kingdom, like EMR didnt do hotas at all...560?? i think. Raiding aint fun because most of people cant stay online for at least 14 hours for a raid unless they are single without kids and dont have a job or in vacation, but neither is pvp at this state, 2 vs 10 is hardly worth even trying, unless all merge to 2 almost equal kingdoms so we -might- get equal numbers, but that will never happen with all the differences between some players. Either way we change the game someone will not like it and will leave, question is, how many will. Stop pushing your own agendas and work as a community towards 1 goal... better playing experience for all, aint that hard if you try. Thanks.

has to do with the state of raiding I'd say. As I play this game I'd say we have a say in all of this too. Or are you not trying to get folks over there. Guess you should get this locked so only those that presently pvp can respond and oh yea., Make sure noone else can ever join chaos/epic. That will work well for you guys.
  29. 2 points
I know that I do not PVP because of my own reasons. But here is what I see from the outside. I have the numbers so I'm gonna go raid and demolish everything and loot everything and of course drain any upkeep I can get. I will come back for all upkeep until the town disbands. Then with the next breath. I have noone to fight. Noone will fight me. There is noone playing Chaos/Epic. Ummm duh. If I know that I have no chance against anyone and that anything I do is going to be demolished and that every item I own will be taken from me. Not to mention the money for the deed that I dropped that was forced to disband by someone else. Why in the world would I pick to do this?

I'm sure this has been posted in the past, but I'll dredge it back to light. I'm sure many would like to see drawbridges added to wurm. Some sort of 1 tile bridge affair where you can rasie/lower it only by standing on one side of it. Make it part of bridges, a piece you can swap with other bridge portions in the bridge planning window. Or make it an entirely new bridge type. I'm unsure how useful it'd be in PvP since wurm's mechanics and mindsets have very specific building methods in play for defenses, but on freedom this would be loved.

Currently, it seems that herbivores (e.g. horses, cows) can eat seeds, grass, and vegetables, but not fruit, or berries, and I'm pretty sure they can't eat nuts either? Why can't my horse eat an apple or some berries??? This is a travesty of the highest proportion.

There are much easier ways to make cash than using alts to sell junk, just saying. Foraging, botanising, hunting, burying corpses, to give a few ideas...

A pottery wheel would look cool but it should NOT replace the hand. Just make it a substitute if desired to be added to the crafting window instead, otherwise everyone would be forced into creating one to do pottery work/creation. Not good. =Ayes=

i cannot, but like frank said, other fps games doesn't involve this kind of money what we have to use here to compete. Account sharing... well if that was banned from game. That would mean there wouldn't be 10 year old accounts ready to dominate everyone in game and that way we get slightly easier targets in game as you have to grind your way up yourself. "PvP ready" would mean lesser accounts in stats and faster pace to get people into PvP. That would also mean there wouldn't be high end accounts 24/7 available or 3 champions constantly on guard when 1 "main" dude is online ready to log in all the major dudes or kingdom priests able to spam locate or reinforcements all the time during raids etc. More strategics are required after that like how would you place your 3 champions in kingdom, all in same timezone to dominate there or 1 to all timezones for equal defense/attack power or place kingdom priests only for most active pvp times to be ready for raids etc. ... just few examples since it affects everything on pvp.

Huge +1. Would be great help for imping large items as well such are floor looms, wagons, carts, ships... And I agree imping item on a proper flat surface of workbench would bring so much immersion, didn't think of that before

I found it very funny that according to the suggestion , people will start to raid more thoughtfully even though this suggestion is only made after the op kingdom said they were looking to flatten and removing the deed. When they failed , they go to the forums suggesting a change, then they claim they will raid more thoughtfully.

Timer for focus is a bit random, sometimes it's 20 seconds sometimes it's 30 seconds into a fight. Suggestion is to visibly show when you can start focusing, perhaps the focus icon changing when you can start, or just don't show it when you can't focus.

Rituals are a mess. They require an incredible number of prayers/sermons to recharge them, they only recharge for the one god, they have arbitrary mechanics that tend to only benefit the one god's worshippers, and generally speaking only Rite of Spring is even worth casting. Half of them were also developed with concepts of territory control and PVP in mind, meaning that ROTS and ROD have very little use on Freedom, other problems aside--Wurm has moved past folks having secured belongings offdeed, and you obviously don't need to be headshotting all online players on Freedom. Rite of Spring is just silly. Like with her follower bonus of +10% to all normal skillgain, as long as Wurm is Wurm you aren't going to beat something like tons of sleep bonus and a fixed boost to mind logic. It's yet another reason why non-priest characters should always be with Vynora. The biggest problem with Ritual of the Sun is that Magranon was a one-trick pony on Freedom, so nobody worships him now that strongwall has proliferated to priests who do more interesting things than collect a euro tax to fix your cave troubles. My circle of friends has been the only people to ever cast ROTS on Exodus, and even with a big computer-stressing pile of Mag-worshipping alts praying day and night all weekend, we couldn't recharge it. Also, you can use a Mag alt to finish altars and blanket an area with Mag domain, gaining the entirety of this ritual's benefit with no further commitment on your part. Holy Crop is so very underwhelming. I'm not really sure why you'd ever bother casting it beyond some sort of perceived prestige from having your name in area history, given its domain requirement. Like ROTS, you can just use an alt to plop down Fo altars and reap all its benefits without so much as a single prayer to help recharge it. I feel it should do something like applying a spell effect to all online followers that gives them increased yield for 24 hours, but even that only benefits farmers and other gatherers. Rite of Death is a joke. Even with a 99-channeling priest casting it with only one link (thanks to the half-favor title), the head wound was not even worth considering as any sort of an offensive/defensive measure, and was primarily used for an online check. I'd just gut the system and reimagine the whole thing at this point. It'd be hard to do worse than "literally nothing", which is what the rituals amount to for almost everyone.

Noticed that hota statues can be picked up, but cannot be put into knarr. Have to be loaded from the ground to the knarr.

Rest assured, unless he decided to reproduce the bug hundreds of times "just to make sure" nothing will happen . Not at all, and I'm sorry if that impression has come across What it is is that it's frustrating having to second guess every QoL update because we can't guarantee there isn't a scenario we haven't thought of about people abusing it. it falls back into the "this is why we can't have nice things" which frustrates both us and players. We want more ease of play and little things that help remove that grating edge to mechanics, the problem is when something makes things a little TOO easy we face a scramble to address it before players take advantage, which many do. We are extremely grateful to the players who do speak with us when they feel things might be unintended and too easy, we want to encourage that, which is why we will always seek to reward if applicable. Exploiting a mechanic for personal gain is not cool, and not only hurts the game but hurts other players experiences as well, with QoL features rolled back because of it, the argument of "well you should have thought of that!" doesn't help as it only means we need to spend longer looking at each feature and scrap it if we can't think of every angle of its use.
