Get your racing silks on, we'll be holding a Cross Country Derby this weekend to finish our annual Wurm Anniversary celebration. To gain entry, we'll be holding public quizzes, with the prize to each being a ticket into this elite race To participate in the selection quiz, please be on Freedom Isles so we may use the Global Freedom chat channel. The winning participants will be ported to a secret location and provided a race horse with full gear. When the race starts the riders will proceed to follow the green lights along the race path. The terrain is varied and riders will not be required to follow an exact path to allow for individual strategy and advancement on the course. gorgian, sorry for your troubles and nevermind them, there are games out there (100% free mind you) where the staff goes above and beyond to keep the players happy - even when they are under no obligation to do so (and i know more than one like that as well) Wurm never was part of that category - it's always the players fault or in the rare cases where you actually get someone to admit a flaw or mistake....well let's just say you could get an apology (only in extreme scenarios like losing very high value items you might get them back if there was a non-player fault) I am not complaining - i just resigned myself, knowing that the customer is more of an annoyance in this game than the group providing a living to the game and staff (the paid ones at least) I am still happy to play this, but try to minimize the interactions with the higher ups - as they are dissapointing - pretty much always

For some reason when I keep reading threads like this I just see player entitlement "I want my tomes, I want my wands, and I want it the easiest way possible". I wish they only got rid of the absolutely insane goals like demigod instead of all the tome ones like become a mage. Due to this conclusion I feel I can no longer objectively look at threads like this without some bias. So I can neither plus or minus 1. I will say this, any changes made to priests for the sake of obtaining a magic book or slime is absolutely insane. Any changes in order to make "winning" even easier is absolutely ludicrous and comically ironic due to the very namesake "winning the game". And finally, everyone is swarming around like mad dogs trying to get the tomes they so desperately value, the majority of which wish to sell the charges and that is sick.

Since the anniversary event has just closed, I have seen a number of people questioning the end time, I feel a simple command that returns server time would be beneficial for occasions like this. Something simple like /stime which simply returns a "Server time is HHMM" in events. It would certainly save confusion, and some angst, when events beginning or ending at a certain server time are missed by players who live in different times zones are concerned. Especially since CET is not always the same even in Eurrope, due to some countries using, or not using summer time corrections. Simple to code, simple to use, why not?

Wardrobes are great and I really appreciate them. But I would love the ability to sort my clothes and armors. Since we can't use containers inside the wardrobe it would be nice to have 'shelves' or 'hangers' or something to separate different sets into easily managed groups.

Priests have always had down sides to them that was the entire balance of the giving them such strong abilities over normal non priest accounts. It's not something forced onto an account, its optional and with that option come some negative and some positive things.

A better fix would have been to revert the knee-jerk GM change that created this problem to begin with. Imagine if you could just dig them up there again, terraforming in a game based on terraforming, hmm what a novel idea. All because some players were too lazy to catapult a 1 by 1 building and chose to complain to a sympathetic GM.

May your time there be as happy as it was for me. I'm not sure what the reason was, if it was the friends I made, the Impalong Events or just the area there being somewhat magical. What I do know though is that the players make Wurm the special place that is it and I could not have achieved all the things I did over the years without the support of you all. (So, nearly another year has gone by, and it has been slow going. Although the pictures may not seem like it, a lot of progress has been made on the deed. The beach has FINALLY been completed, along with the edges of the deed slope. The only area that needs to be completed now is the area by the mountain for our main house. For those of you who remember our old home, it will look the same, with some major additions around and behind it. The whole thing will overlook the rest of the deed for an amazing view. Our Cats have their own "Cat Houses" Our new Beach, complete with pet whale! The altars still show where the old temple used to stand. The nice, sloping south hillside, and the former location of my mine.... A different view of the beach. Hopefully, our next update will have the finished model of our home, workshops, and warehouse. Lunar Order is looking for new and returning players! Join our community, let's make Xanadu better and stronger than before! What is Lunar Order? Lunar Order is a group, that plays many different roles to make our experience greater. One of our roles, is to run a really unique and specific Academy to find the best, proper and most valuable players to help us reach some of our many goals. Academy, of course is looking mostly for new or returning players to help them out with basics of the game. To give them opportunity, and prepare enviroment to learn everything they might need in Wurm's world. I will share my knowledge and time with new players to show them how a real Wurmian should be like. What's most important, what qualities should valued the most. Another part is creating some Role Play bases for our inner community. Role playing in Wurm often becomes a problem, when people starts to limiting themselves by "chosen roles". In Lunar Order it looks a different. I won't limit anybody to any specific professions. That's not the right way. Instead, Lunar Order has already prepared ranks system for villagers. It doesn't require any specific jobs, roles, tasks or gods know what else- nothing that could limit a player in whatever he likes to do! No, it requires patience, and it takes a good person to get higher in ranks. Of course, if there's ranks system, there are also rewards! But, let's get back to it later... Beside that I'm all in for little Roleplay scenes like council meetings and so on, but only for people interested in such things.. Why Academy is "specific"? First, it mostly stands as military arm of our Alliance to make it's own image. (It's not pvp Academy!). But of course we also want people that prefer living in peacful home and working on their own stuff instead of fighting mobs! And Academy is prepared for such civilians as well, because we all know they're even more important for proper functionality! But another thing is.... this might not be an Academy like many others, because I need best, determined, patient and trustworthy players. I'm not looking for complainers, toxic people or lazy pretentious ones! Many of recruiting deeds might offer you full set of high enchanted tools, building a house with their own mats for you! If you like it, join them. But if you prefer to work on your own, if you want to accomplish many different tasks just to make your dreams come true, then you're most welcome. A priest, choosen by citizens from Academy and Homestead might sit by Council Member and advice in priest part of expeditions as well as helps training priests in The Order. Lunar Scholar- Citizen choosen by community to sit by Council Table. Has a vote and speaks for non military community. His responsibility is to develope Academy, recruit new players, and teach them all of the basics. His main teacher and beside Grandmaster has the only right to decide about changing Academy buildings and size shape. If Academy needs any changes, he can decide to do what's needed, tho If it requires funds, must consult with Grandmaster. Each rank provides selected tools, armors, weapons. What's more, each time you increase your rank, you'll also get a special reward or even payment, proper to your position. I do believe these missions can be done on Freedom or epic whichever the character is not a priest on.

I have to +1 this based off the "Books should have less decay on shelves" suggestion alone; I made a few books when the patch first came out, and haven't touched them since. It's only been about a week. After one disappeared from my shelf, I decided to take them all to check out what the decay has been like. Low and behold! All of my books had about 20-45 DMG on them after only sitting about a week! And one even poofed. This is on a bookshelf, inside of a building, on a deed. The decay should be nowhere near this high. It doesn't seem at the moment that books care about these things when it comes to decay ticks.

Daym, don't forget to put a banner in our galaxy center, in case somebody haven't heard yet it's yours. This is actually a really nice one suggestion. At least better than others. I also feel Xallo, however i'm not sure if using karma for rerolling everything is the way. Instead of, I'd offer players who already used a cherry, one time possibility of removing it and giving back a charge as an item again. Just thinking louder. People were asking for years about removing non doable goals and allow people to win a game. Recently, devs removed them AND also removed tomes goals, what made winning a game so easy, almost irrelevant. After watching wurm's lately, i think it was a wrong move... anyway, devs made it so easy, and many of players that won the game before changes, left with nothing, regardless that many of their goals were way more difficult. Even title wasn't changed. And now players are able to win a game in no time, and multiple times, and still are complaining about rewards. Damn. At this moment, I'd bring back tomes goals or either disallow winning on alts. Someone complaining about a red cherry. If you don't like it, gimme! I'll use multiple charges. When I won a white tome, did I complain? No, i used one and gave away the rest. Of course I'd prefer a smoke or wand, but winning a game, wasn't yet only about a rewards, not to me. It was something rare, unique achievement. Tome was only and additional stuff. Now it's yet another thing that lost meaning and dropped to dirt. My 2 coppers. Not a fact, barely an opinion. I don't pvp, after reading all topics like this i'm still glad i don't. Also I'm not saying about "my pve". And what's good for it or not. It's not my position to state my consideration as solid facts and saying others what's good or bad just because i don't or I do like it. Everyone have a right to say what's on their minds, but we can't fall into an illusion that our vision is the only right one. And if we discuss something, we DISCUSS, not argue trying to sow our ideas into others heads. That sows only more toxicity seeds.

NASA Mars Exploration Rover Status Report Updated at 6:30 p.m. PDT on June 12, 2018 NASA engineers attempted to contact the Opportunity rover today but did not hear back from the nearly 15-year old rover. The team is now operating under the assumption that the charge in Opportunity's batteries has dipped below 24 volts and the rover has entered low power fault mode, a condition where all subsystems, except a mission clock, are turned off. The rover's mission clock is programmed to wake the computer so it can check power levels. If the rover's computer determines that its batteries don't have enough charge, it will again put itself back to sleep. Due to an extreme amount of dust over Perseverance Valley, mission engineers believe it is unlikely the rover has enough sunlight to charge back up for at least the next several days.

I've been sifting through the information so far and am ready to post what I believe is going on. This is just me with wild speculation, you may find better information. This is just what I think went on. Random Enkounters 2017 thread is made on September 30, 2017. If you take the first letter of each sentence, you find the secret message "SECRET MISSION HIDDEN WITHIN". Unfortunately, it is missed because nobody is looking for it. It is hidden in plain sight. I believe the message does not mean hidden within this thread but hidden within the game and later hidden on the Wurmpedia. On 13 October 2017‎, the Wurmpedia page for The Knights of Seris is created with the first chapter. Every 7 days, another chapter is added and the lore is complete on 1 December 2017. I believe a lot of the trivia in the random enkounters was pointing to the backstory of Wurm, perhaps in hopes people searching for it wound find the lore page. Here are some interesting lines from the Enkounters: 13 October 2017 - "Today's Random Enkounter is brought to you by the moon Jackal. (I'm watching you!)" - Always watching. 15 October 2017 - "Today's Enkounter is brought to you by Sol - Shining a light on you since 979 NT!" - An important date. 27 October 2017 - "By the NT calendar when did the Gateways to the new lands of Wurm open. He answered correctly! Could you?" - If you can't, you can look it up. 16 November 2017 - "The first challenge was to tell me how many moons were currently in Wurm. He passed that challenge with flying colors... with a little help from the wiki..." - It's all about the wiki. I believe the thread was trying to point people to looking at the wiki. That didn't work. Nobody saw the secret message or the lore page. It is kept hidden. April fools 2018. Enki creates the post and asks users to read carefully. Many eagle-eyed readers, myself included, would have noticed the random italicised letters in the post. A quick check reveals these letters spell out "APRIL FOOLS". I'm sure everybody just assumed this was the reason we had to read carefully. It was not. Taking the first letter of sentence, you find the secret message "I HID SOMETHING WITHIN FIRST SECRET CLUE IN FORUM CAN YOU FIND THE TREASURE". I believe this one specifically references the forum so you would check Enkis post history and find the secret of the Random Enkounters. Anniversary rolls around and Enki has had enough. This has gone on for far too long. The users haven't found it. It's time to wake them up. The secret message of this thread directly references the Knights of Seris. The lore page is found within the hour. This is the quest. This is the secret mission. We have to find the treasure. But where do we even go from there? Golden Valley? Gateways? How do we even start the quest? I don't know. I'm quite fond of the ARG events in gaming communities. I love participating in these even though I'm not that good at it. I know somebody is going to find something which will immediately disprove everything that I've said. This is how this stuff goes. This is all the information that I have right now and I don't know where to go from here. I also know that people tend to go crazy and overanalyse everything. I'm just throwing out this information because it's important to not get caught up in the little details. I'm convinced the lore page is the key and we just need to figure out what to do with it.
