    For me, PVP is just dull and annoying, in any game. I don't play games to spat with other players, much less in a personal way, or to have a schedule or instructions from a leader. I'm likely not the only one who wants Wurm to be a refuge, not the time to get angry and frustrated (except at trolls and large crates). I do wish the PVP crowd would stop insisting there's a secret code to make the rest of us like it. Some of us just don't.

    Lunar Order is looking for new and returning players! Join our community, let's make Xanadu better and stronger than before! What is Lunar Order? Lunar Order is a group, that plays many different roles to make our experience greater. One of our roles, is to run a really unique and specific Academy to find the best, proper and most valuable players to help us reach some of our many goals. Academy, of course is looking mostly for new or returning players to help them out with basics of the game. To give them opportunity, and prepare enviroment to learn everything they might need in Wurm's world. I will share my knowledge and time with new players to show them how a real Wurmian should be like. What's most important, what qualities should valued the most. Another part is creating some Role Play bases for our inner community. Role playing in Wurm often becomes a problem, when people starts to limiting themselves by "chosen roles". In Lunar Order it looks a different. I won't limit anybody to any specific professions. That's not the right way. Instead, Lunar Order has already prepared ranks system for villagers. It doesn't require any specific jobs, roles, tasks or gods know what else- nothing that could limit a player in whatever he likes to do! No, it requires patience, and it takes a good person to get higher in ranks. Of course, if there's ranks system, there are also rewards! But, let's get back to it later... Beside that I'm all in for little Roleplay scenes like council meetings and so on, but only for people interested in such things.. Why Academy is "specific"? First, it mostly stands as military arm of our Alliance to make it's own image. (It's not pvp Academy!). But of course we also want people that prefer living in peacful home and working on their own stuff instead of fighting mobs! And Academy is prepared for such civilians as well, because we all know they're even more important for proper functionality! But another thing is.... this might not be an Academy like many others, because I need best, determined, patient and trustworthy players. I'm not looking for complainers, toxic people or lazy pretentious ones! Many of recruiting deeds might offer you full set of high enchanted tools, building a house with their own mats for you! If you like it, join them. But if you prefer to work on your own, if you want to accomplish many different tasks just to make your dreams come true, then you're most welcome. If you like helping others if you're all about working in community, you're welcome! We will teach you, we will show you, we will share all our knowledge, but rest depends on you! Of course, tools and armors you have provided, don't worry! You're not obligated to do anything here. Even if I ask you for something, or give you a task, you don't have to do so. If you say "no" it's ok! But if you say you do something, and you won't, everyone will remember here. And I'm taking everything into consideration, when you ask me for promotion. How Academy ranks looks like? 1) Lunar Recruit- Player who just joined our Academy. Such player have two rank paths to choose. 2) Lunar Civil Path- Path is supposed for a players who aren't interested in hunting and fighting mobs, but rather prefers to stay and work on their stuff on place and work on deeds. Lunar Peasant Lunar Townsman Lunar Citizen 3) Lunar Knight Path- Path for those who loves to hunt, travel, adventuring and killing beasts. Peacekeepers of Xanadu. Lunar Footman Wolfsguard Lunar Knight Lunar Order Council *Military Members of Lunar Order's council are promoted only by Grandmaster, while Citizen Members are chosen by all citizens excluding recruits. * 1) Military Members Grandmaster- To grandmaster belongs last final word in any decision making debates. Responsible for whole Order as well as expeditions or training expeditions and giving a tasks to soldiers. Lunar Paladin- First of the Knights, chosen only from Knightly ranks. Need at least 80FS and 70 in any weapon + 50 in secondary weapon and shield at least. Paladin receives seryll helmet, Glimmersteel rings as well as special weapon from armory or money to get a proper weapon of a choice. Paladin has a right to organize expeditions, train lower soldiers and give them tasks. Also has council vote and sits by Council Table. If Grandmasters is unavailable, has a decivie word in any matters regardles Order: accepting recruits, advancing them or judging. Wolfsguard Commander- Needs at least skills needed to become a Knight. Commander might sign his candidacy before he become a Knight. Receives new armor, special bear helmet as a simbol of his rank, as well as Adamantine ring, pads. Sits by Council and has council vote. Main responsible is to help training recruits and wolfsguards, as well as preparing plans for next expeditions. If Grandmaster and Paladin are unavailable, has a decivie word in any matters regardles Order: accepting recruits, advancing them or judging. 2) Citizen Members: Lunar Bishop- Receives Star Gem Staff and proper pads. A priest, choosen by citizens from Academy and Homestead might sit by Council Member and advice in priest part of expeditions as well as helps training priests in The Order. Lunar Scholar- Citizen choosen by community to sit by Council Table. Has a vote and speaks for non military community. His responsibility is to develope Academy, recruit new players, and teach them all of the basics. His main teacher and beside Grandmaster has the only right to decide about changing Academy buildings and size shape. If Academy needs any changes, he can decide to do what's needed, tho If it requires funds, must consult with Grandmaster. Each rank provides selected tools, armors, weapons. What's more, each time you increase your rank, you'll also get a special reward or even payment, proper to your position.     Issue with animals remaining tamed : Tamed a bison on the Baphomet server Sailed back to Oracle, tamed a deer, loaded him in the animal crate, loaded that into the ship, sailed back to Baphomet Unloaded the crate and unloaded the deer - the bison stayed tame the whole tame, and the deer was tame as well (showed green outline, could lead him) When right clicking on ground Pet -> Go here, it was the bison that responded to my commands, the deer did nothing Left both bison and deer there (tamed), sailed back and got a tame dog on Oracle the same way as deer Sailed back to Baphomet, unloaded it and it was still tame as well. Both the bison and deer remained tame Was still only the bison that responded to the 'go here' command When I tamed another bison there, only my first bison went untame, the dog and deer both remained tame (green outline, could lead) Unfortunately not sure on which server the animals originated on, I found the deer and dog in the Oracle test starter area but they might have been transported before

    I don't PvP on this, or any other, game because that's not what I play games for. I play Wurm for the farming, building and mining aspects. I have a 70+ fighting skill from fighting the random monsters I run across. Frankly, though, I refuse to PvP because I have neither the time, equipment or want to try and beat those whose are experts at it. I have nothing against those who do PvP but getting killed and losing all my equipment would make me quit playing. I've rage quit before when monsters have killed me and I couldn't recover my equipment. It makes a game seriously unfun for me to have to start over when I don't have the skills to make high quality equipment and the grind to get there (or money to buy new) is not where I want to spend my time.

    Open World, Full Loot PVP (OWFL) is always a selfish, gank-fest no matter which game you look at that offers it. In my opinion, OWFL does not belong in the MMORPG genre. It should remain in the FPS and FPS hybrid realms. With respect to Wurm, the problem with pvp is that nothing, and I mean nothing, can prevent someone with an attitude or agenda from demolishing months of your invested time and energy building a "safe" haven - which can never be made safe or never be made defensible. And this is a catch-22 because if the devs make deeds safer, the raiders get mad. If they make them less safe, the defenders get mad. Personally, I think pvp should not be about loot. It should be about faction warfare and control, with acquired bonuses as a result of your success. Plus, and I think more importantly, there should be some level of enforced chivalry. When you make pvp all about loot, people are going to get frustrated and quit. Especially since the gear they are wearing likely cost them real-life money. Forget that. I am not paying hundreds of dollars for good gear only to have a couple of gankers with an attitude killing it off me. Who wants that? This brings me to my final point that OWFL breeds toxicity. It is amazing how greedy and brutal human beings can be when they play in a game where anything goes. In that environment, the trend is ALWAYS negative, NEVER positive. The attitudes get pathetic and there is no sense of morality or any such thing. You can feel this attitude of, "I have a right to kill you and take everything you care about, and level your home to the ground. Why? Oh, because its a game, and you are the enemy, and I don't give a hoot." If you read this and think, " Boy, this guy is an idiot," well, that's fine. You probably never will understand what I am trying to describe, so it doesn't matter to me. But probably some of you know what I am talking about and recognize this as a problem. Cooperative, group (kingdom) survival against an equally passionate enemy is what pvp should be about. Not this personal agenda of greed and self-absorption that we see all too often. Remove the game mechanics that foster greed and Wurm pvp might become more interesting to the players. My 2c.

    I am glad to read here that you have taken this step, even if it took you a few years to provide some insight into your viewpoint on this game, as well as the acquisition of Glasshollow Market and the character of Rockybalboa. As I had known Rocky(balboa) from shortly after the start of Xanadu and appreciated all his efforts to create a beautiful harmonious area within this vicinity with well planned highways branching out, it was a bit difficult for me to appreciate anyone who would in my opinion attempt to step into his shoes through this named character. You obviously are not him but I can through reading your introduction appreciate your dedication to carry on this fine marketplace and the maintenance of the surrounding area. It certainly is an impressive accomplishment initially by him and I am quite pleased to understand now your objective to perpetuate this legacy. An excellent post! Thank you for taking the time to make your objectives and opinions known for all to read. I am now feeling very confident that Glasshollow Marketplace and the character of Rockybalboa are in good hands, with well intended continuing plans for the future. After all, we players are the creators of the content of these blank spaces provided and Rocky has done a fine work on his little corner of these worlds.     Purpose: Creature cages are a means to transport a small amount creatures in vehicles, over water, and from one server to another. There is a purple GM sign at the starter deed to teleport the creature cage test deed on the Western side of the server. Overall Info: Cage will decay on boat the same as a Large Crate, item inside “shouldn’t” decay. Cages will take damage quickly when a creature is loaded in a cage. Pregnant creatures cannot be loaded. Only led creatures can be loaded into cage. (this should cover most permission cases). Any leadable creature can be caged, the “Load Creature” action is only available when the performer has a lead creature. Data is server specific, so a loaded then unloaded creature will retain all data from that server, if the creature has never been to a server it will have no data i.e. perms, carefor, mother / father, uless mother or father is on that server, on the destination server. You can still manage a branded creature if it is on your server, and is branded there, via manage menu. If a branded creature crosses and has no brand on the destination server, it will have no brand unless branded till it returns. Hostiles can be loaded if they are A, leadable, B, Dominatable / Leadable. Caged creatures on deed count towards animal ratio. Cages take damage at a much faster rate when there is a creature stored in them, when the cage is 80 or greater damage the creature is auto dumped to the ground on the tile the cage was on. Amount of cages per vehicle: You cannot transport creatures in a rowboat or a small sailing boat or large cart. Wagon: 2 Animal transporter (New land vehicle incoming): 4 Knarr: 4 Corbita: 5 Cog: 6 Caravel: 8 Features to test (If you are unsure of what to test, here are some ideas) Brandings and permissions crossing from Oracle to Baphomet and back. Giving away pets while in a cage. Trading ownership of caged creatures. breaking as much as you can with as many ideas as you can Building a animal transporter/creature cage. If you have specific things you’d like to test, i.e. dominating, priests, or other various features, you can join IRC via the ingame console by typing “irc” without quotation marks and asking for a GM to assist you.     If cared-for does not transfer between servers, there will really need to be lots of ingame warnings about this when crossing, and a grace period after unloading an animal to prevent it instantly getting polled for age and dying, or there will be a lot of players getting mad that their venerable animals will be prone to spontaneously dying after crossing.

    This mod allows players to plant from any barrel, satchel, etc. Activate the container instead of the individual seeds to make it work.

    i've been trying to do this as well, only to reward coins for specific items. like bricks for x amount of iron coins exct.. nails, boards, mostly building materials that people generally have in excess, a small way to keep the server clean, help players gain some coinage for the items.

    you've put a nice amount of thought into this and it definitely is a unique and rewarding social structure that hasn't been articulated like this before. I like your ideas very much. I've known you to always be helpful, pleasant, and eager adventurer i often see roaming the lands of wurm on the hunt. I highly recommend giving this guy a try and this village "order" a try. Best of luck and have fun new recruits.

    It seems like people who offer unusual or niche-y services seem to do okay. I remember someone back in the day offering prospecting and mine planning, which was a cool idea. I'm sure there's tons of other ideas that Wurm could use. I don't know that any of it's steady money, but it could be more fun than bricks.

    Skyefox was over there to survey a new road up the west side of Harmony Lake and have a look at the pilot tunnel from the Harmony Lake end last weekend. Given what you have planned, she went the extra mile to help you folks and tile counted the pilot mine and then noted where the exact deed borders are on the ground up above that would "bottle neck" your project. So thus the Albia Map team wishes to make a small donation to help the Inner-Harmony Cave Canal project. http://prntscr.com/jppdmx the Inner-Harmony Cave Canal, a map of possible routes. The yellow lines at east end are the borders of the deeds you need to squeeze between. The two fat blue lines are possible Cave Canal routes. The current mine/pilot tunnel Skye has indicated with Orange and the colour dots indicate veins, red for Iron, Pink for Salt and White for Silver. We chose to show a 5 wide tunnel, being the standard cave canal is 1 tile of road, then 1 tile down into water and then 3 water tiles. The northern (upper route) would bust out to the surface at a tiny Tear Drop of a lake on its south side. As far as Skyefox could determine, the southern route (lower blue line) was free of deed conflicts at the time of surveying all the way to the Inner Sea. We hope this is of some help to you and we could show up with our pickaxes, mapping chores permitting. Kindest regards!     Well thats the thing, the chickens lived in a 2x1 pen and i'd have a pile of seeds on both tiles and i did resupply them frequently, more often than not, say i dropped 15 seeds, i'd see a pile with 9 damaged ones after 2 days, they just weren't eating them all, so i'd swap out decaying ones for fresh ones as i went about restocking the other pens

    Let me just say this. If you are looking at getting smithing skills, avoid blacksmithing as a producer of wealth. Everyone and their mom has it, but less people have weapon smithing (hard to grind) or shield smithing comparatively. Avoid armor, on freedom cluster it won't help you down the road. A high quality weapon, that has rarity and enchants will sell for a lot to the right bidders.

    Plus there should be overlook 5000 L winemaking. Its not fun to collect nearly 10.000 grapes plus the maple sap. But as a BL, I have to turn every maple tree and every grape bush to grass before i can harvest. Thats means i have to hurt myself before I can absorb the myc. A NIGHTMARE ! The whole thing is total unfair, if you are a BL. For Freedom PPL there is a overlook in PVP Goals, so pls do something for us BL ppl too !

    this is what i do if i come across old mines while working on my mine granted it requires a lot of materials best would be if possible collapse anything you come across and just keep mining up until your desired height or cant go any higher then just mine straight everywhere you wanna go then flatten the tile next to the last upwards slope and then level it all clean up repeat on and on using level is a lot faster and in mine's will actually go the same speed as mining the floor does which for me at 2.1 seconds is fast

    If Freedom = Market and nothing else then I fail to see why cater to a bunch of people who keep saying the market is dead yet they still want to sell drake sets or buy them. Seems to me the market had a life cycle where it sorta killed itself. Most markets tend to be in flux and constant change because outside forces or variables interact with it. Wurm is a closed space market. I really don't see the point in screwing up an entire game community just because X or Y can't sell his rare hammer or drake set that used to be worth 500$ a few years ago. Pretty damn sure computers were worth a ton of money in the 70s or 80s if you wanted to buy one for private use. Nowadays even a low-end one is dirt cheap and has more processing power than what NASA had in the 50s. My point is, why the well are we catering to people complaining about a damn virtual market when it's sucking all the purpose, fun and enjoyment out of a sandbox game that seems to be centered not in a "sandbox" philosophy but rather mirroring RL economic behavior? I just want to have some fun in this game that doesn't involve someone getting an edge with RL money (the definition of pay to win). Screw the market. Here's a thought. Donate all drake/scale/rare tools and weps to the Wurm Orphanage and get a nice title out of it called "Robin Hood".

    Selling an activated tool on deed token Breeding cave bugs (they had their dedicated pens like other animals) for their meat and cochineal Throwing items, gear, cotton etc by the misuse of ranged stance Travel to a nearby server on boat, in 30 or lower ql plate armor (so slow on moving) -- after landing, get ambushed by bears and other aggressive mobs when i still haven't found a mount, run out of stamina and die. Respawn to server's spawn town completely naked and without knowledge of the landscape or how to retrieve my corpse and boat Explore and derail too farther from the roads, far away from village. Get lost in the dense forests and die/risk to die by getting chased by hell hounds and trolls Carry a stool around, and use it to sit when char is waiting ingame

    I think I'm going to win this one. Start the game. Decide you want to live on the highest mountain on the largest server. Die ~200 times trying to get up because as a newb you did not know that things like stamina recharge without finding a spot to stand on were a thing. P.S. I did finally make it, but the death count is on!

    You guys make no sense at all. Like you have to down vote it because you have too much to do already? How is that even a response to the suggestion. And then "make your own". No ###### and I would if they were in the game to make. So if they made a checker game in this game for others then you are forced to start using it while you grind on your deed? I swear Wurm community been getting worse and worse. That's why I don't post much anymore on forums.
