Alright, so I had an idea about the lack of "life" inside of caves, and was thinking along the lines of how players want to be able to grow mushrooms inside of caves now. The idea would be, letting us "pave" cave tiles using dirt, that would let us cultivate them and plant mushrooms on them, and tending and ect. But as for the rest of this idea, would greatly be pushing the "fantasy" envelope for Wurm, as I think it'd be nice to be able to grow 1, maybe 2 types of trees inside of caves... granted normal trees, wouldn't grow in caves, thus this would have to be some sort of fantasy tree that wouldn't exist in real life, or be one of some sort of lore instead, as well as a few bushes of the same nature, and possibly even a type of "grass tile" too would all be grand. These could even be plants that emit low levels of light as well, to add to lighting caves, and can only grow within caves maybe, all spit-balling ideas at this point I know I can't be the only one that finds caves to be too dreary and would love an option to green them up a bit, breath some life in, add a touch of fantasy to it all

We're going to be launching our community on June 1st and have just launched the forums for that. As a game development company and gaming community, we are starting with a XANADU-WIDE ALLIANCE. Because we are going to Wurm Online as our main game, we are going to be giving away great WO prizes such as Scale Sets, Tomes, Rares, Supremes and more! We will also give away 17 Steam games to anyone - and this as well as some of the WO prizes include everyone, even those not associated with our group. This will happen during a 10-day giveaway period with giveaways every day. You can find the giveaway here: http://forum.uncanny-legion.net/topic/2-uclg-launch-giveaway-week-june-1-10-2018/ The requirements to join each type of giveaway are listed right below the schedule. As a non-associated person, you are able to join Launch, Game and Wurm giveaways. If you're interested in joining in with our Xanadu alliance, please pass me a PM! The official recruitment thread will not be posted here until launch on June 1st but joining is, as approximately 20 deeds have already done, already possible! Good luck!

Who is a senior mod Shakys? Because I had multiple posts removed from this thread that were in response to Yldrania saying that multiple bids below 150s were hidden and when I asked why one bid wasn’t removed, Yldrania responded by saying that after Kadmint’s message, they stopped paying so much attention as its expected people know how to behave after a mod steps in.

Over desert, under stone, to a secluded mountain valley home. ~~~ Greetings, and welcome to the newly updated Oakheart recruitment page! Thank you for taking the time to swing by... And if you are returning to these pages again, a special thanks to you for your ongoing interest in this bustling little mountain community! Oakheart has been a busy little place since her founding earlier in the Spring of this past year, and much has occurred! Born in a remote mountain valley, she has gone from her humble beginnings of having only a few meager plots and a handful of intrepid citizens on a small deed, to a growing community of about 30+regular players (and nearly the same number in additional alts ), a deeded area now spanning 91x60 tiles (and growing regularly in size and population), and with nearly a year's worth of upkeep in the coffers at the moment with a goal of reaching and keeping 3 year's upkeep on hand at all times. Any who consider joining her ranks can know that her future is secure and she is not going anywhere soon! With all that growth has come a lot of change and opportunities, and it is well past time to update this page to properly inform those who might take an interest in learning more about her and possibly making their home within her boarders. And so we begin... The Beginning: Oakheart is a community that has been around since May of 2018. An aspiring middle aged Wurmian named Thalius was born into central Xanadu in early April and fell in love with the place, but was struck with perplexity at the sparse population. Where was everybody?? Roaming far and wide over Xanadu he encountered many deeds and small communities, but his mind kept drifting back to the starter city of Greymead and the open and largely undeveloped area surrounding the settlement. The central location was compelling, and the sparse population meant there was an abundance of good locations on which to settle. And so, having found no area that he considered better, he returned to Greymead and began scouting the surrounding wilderness. Many locations were considered but they all looked the same and, while beautiful, they were also ultimately uninspiring. There was one area that he encountered though that he kept being drawn to, and could not get out of his mind. There was a mountain valley across a desert west of Greymead that he could not find access to, though he could see what looked to be a valley floor carpeted in dense forest far below. After many, many, many deaths to injuries acquired in falls down the mountain side and ambushes by trolls, scorpions, and the occasional hell-hound, he finally found a narrow path down to the valley floor. What he found there was all he had been looking for and more, and the place called to him. He had to settle there, and so he did. As he set up his home and explored the area it became clear to him that he could not keep the little valley to himself- the place was begging for a mountain community, and so he set himself to the task of seeing if he could bring it about. And so the seed of Oakheart was planted, took root, and began to grow... ~~~ ~~~ Where Oakheart is now: Oakheart was founded as a community where all players, new and experienced, would be welcomed and desired. She has held true to that, and currently she has many new, and a good number of very experienced ( and some legendary), players who have made Oakheart their home. Some of her citizens have been around almost since Wurm's founding, and having them in her ranks has been a lot of fun and a great benefit to training and equipping players new to the world of Wurm. Currently Oakheart has given out a large number of plots ranging from 4x6 to 10x10 in size. On these plots her citizens are free to build as they please, with the only restrictions being related to fencing and the altering of landscape in such a way as to effect your neighbor's territory. Aside from that, imagination and diversity is encouraged. Oakheart endeavors to be largely shaped by her citizenry, and that includes not only her citizen's personal space, but also Oakheart's public buildings and green spaces. Input is solicited by her mayor and leadership regularly with regard to what the settlement and her members need and desire, and players are free to make suggestions and join in the building of many public building and development projects. Additional player plots are available, and will continue to be made available to new citizens as her population grows and her financial situation allows for her continued expansion. Current citizens of Oakheart: Activity level described as: Active (if nothing appears beside name), semi active, away (but will be returning), or inactive (no word on if/when they may be returning and may be removed from citizen role soon). None of the following are alts. When unique players and all player alts are taken into account, there are 89 citizens in Oakheart at this time. [Role]/Citizen name/current activity level [Knight] Ahsesino [Knight] Alinicon- semi Amunet Austinlans- away [Knight] Bearnorito- away Boshogama- away [Knight, and Guildmaster] Brattygirlsback Briannick- inactive [Guildmaster] Burdock Dathius Daymickcorrxandu [Knight] Durzlgog- inactive [Baron and Guildmaster] Elwood Giersdorf Haruki- away Icetrias Jimmynorman Jormangandrr Juby Kalen Kamila Karedion Kaylinna [Knight and Guildmaster] Kywest Lancewinstar- semi Looggaann Majorblazer- away [Guildmaster] Mariana Martynas Mcloy Mikexc Mokalyn [Knight] Mrgremlin- semi Neema Postrel Quadeej Runland Samir [Knight] Selenity- away Sheffie Skaltsones Snowmanone Sovereignza Stampertje Stromhurst Sweyn- inactive [Duke(Mayor)] Thalius Theshepherd- inactive [Knight] Thrayne- semi Tunna Umabrisk Wayneoss- inactive Wilkes- away Wolhha- inactive [Guildmaster] Wucian Xanthose Xpower- inactive Yaoz Ziem- inactive Zigon What you will encounter upon arrival: The Oakheart Inn and Tavern. ~~~ ~~~ Your initial place of residence upon arriving at Oakheart will be the Oakheart Inn and Tavern. The tavern portion is still under development, but she has furnished space to accommodate 24 players in rooms made up of 4 tiles worth of space while you get settled into your new home. A bed and storage units are provided for your use during your stay there, as well as decent quality food and drink. Once you have been in Oakheart long enough to build some skills, find your place in the community, and show you will be around for a while and active, you will be given a plot to call home. You will also be given a basic tool set of reasonable quality, with opportunities to earn higher quality tools as you advance in a given skill area. Just want a small dwelling space without a plot to have to care for? Oakheart will soon have town house and apartment style accommodations for those players desiring less space to manage. Just want to visit for a while? Feel free to swing on by and stay at the inn for as long as you please, provided a room is available. Visitors are welcome, any time! The Guilds of Oakheart ~~~ The Smith's Guild-house of Oakheart, founded and managed by Elwood. ~~~ Oakheart is endeavoring to bring something new to the table when it comes to life around town and generating market dynamics within the community and surrounding area- Guilds. Once a member of Oakheart, you will have the opportunity to join one of several guilds that have been founded. Many guilds have been formed, including the smithing guild, masonry guild, mining guild, carpentry guild, taming/husbandry guild, forestry guild, and the Thaumaturgy guild (who's focus is on developing skilled alchemists and metallurgists), - with other guilds to come. Guilds are and will be an integral part of the culture of Oakheart, and will have major implications on life in and around Oakheart as well as play a large role in the relationship between her and those settlements allied with her. Guilds have been created to: Organize and mobilize players to build community within Oakheart around preferred skills and play stiles, Help train and develop new players around a preferred set of skills or activities, Provide and encourage role playing dynamics within village life around Oakheart, To encourage trade- both between guilds and between guilds and individuals who hire their services, Develop market dynamics related to guilds within Oakheart and the surrounding area with the aim to provide opportunities for newer players to earn income earlier on in their game than they otherwise may be able, and to improve the over-all economy surrounding the Oakheart area. Other things of note that you will find upon arriving at Oakheart: Wagoner in place, allowing for the sending and receiving of bulk resources with no need for travel. An enchanted mailbox, allowing for fast delivery of items, including oversized items. Many resources already harvested and stored for community use, allowing you to experiment with crafting many different items immediately. Ample opportunity to learn the harvesting of most resource types nearby and in a safe environment. A community kitchen where meals are provided and shared as available. An active and friendly community that enjoys helping you learn and stretch your skills without "holding your hand" as you do so. Currently the deed size is 60x60 tiles, with ample plot space marked out for new citizens. An increasingly active focus on rift events and hunting uniques across multiple servers. We have put in place something resembling a mid-evil time period "caste system" of role management. The mayor of Oakheart bears the title of Duke, and the trusted leaders in the community bear the title of Barons. Entrance role into Oakheart is that of a "serf", and players that have acquired plots are promoted to "freemen" of Oakheart. Joining a guild earns you a title related to your position within the guild, and players worthy of special recognition in their service to Oakheart and her citizenry can earn the title of "Knight" of Oakheart. Other roles and titles will be created as needed and desired, all to enhance the role playing aspect of life around town! Long term goals worth mentioning: The vision for Oakheart is large. Very large. She was founded with the goal in mind of becoming a city type environment where players could securely establish their home, engage in commerce, grow their skills, make friends, collaborate with other players to achieve various tasks, wall off their plot and be an inner city hermit, collaborate with your neighbors to secure and develop a city block as they desire, - all as part of a large and active community that requires very little from them. Come and go as you please, and if you like you can join in on helping out with community projects and needs around town or the surrounding area from time to time. No one who resides at Oakheart owes the community anything but respect to her goals and citizenry. With this in mind: One long term goal is to deed the entire valley floor up to a 130x100 tile area. Such an area would provide ample space for a large city with a large population, and with lots of room left over for community projects and green space within the boarders of Oakheart. Also, excavation of an underground city has begun. This is a large project with long term goals which, when achieved, will provide an underground city space of nearly equal size to the surface city. It will also include a large underground marina with a canal linking the marina to a system of lakes, thus giving marina and lake access to central Xanadu for the first time. It is an exciting and daunting task, but worth the effort as it will bring a huge new dynamic to central Xanadu for the good of all who settle there. Only skilled and careful workers will be allowed on this project, and skilled miners are wanted! Thank you for taking the time to read over this, and feel free to contact me if you would like to know more; and certainly do so if you are interested in joining an exciting and growing settlement in the vast wilderness of central Xanadu! We look forward to hearing from you... Thalius ~ Founder and Duke of Oakheart.

Vynora overlooks the land, full image here Dear Wurmians Things have been a little quiet on the news front, and I'm incredibly sorry, and to make it up to you all, I've gone combing through buddas desk, and aside from all the empty bourbon bottles, I found some really interesting things, so lets see it! Personal goals For a long time now personal goals have been a feature that can be quite frustrating to some, with hard to attain goals vs simply getting lucky with RNG. We outlined our desires to improve this system but also explained that a large danger is how the personal goals system draws the goals, without actually saving them. This meant that any changes to achievements could lead to everyone having their goals re-rolled, causing countless headaches. With a lot of careful work, and repeated testing, we're now able to address this issue, and will be removing some of the more tricky diamond personal goals. If you previously had one of these the system will now generate a new achievement of a equal tier. The following personal goals will be removed: Create fantastic item Conquer the world Rule a kingdom Become a demigod Become an arch mage Become a planeswalker Become a shadowmage Become a magician Mine a fantastic gem In the long term, we are working towards a complete overhaul of the way personal goals work, and will be removing the current system in its entirety. If you wish to receive the winner title and rewards for completing your personal goals, we'd advise working towards that, as the opportunity may be gone later. THINGS! ON TABLES! Long long long desired, (and even appearing as a mod) is the ability to place things on tables and shelves. We've wanted this as both players and devs for a long time now, and we're really proud to be able to unveil it today! It's functionality is directly tied with placing objects, so to put an item on a table, simply right click > place. then as you hover the green outline over the table, it will display on the table. Moving the table around (or even picking it up) will carry the object with it. The list of items that will be able to have items placed on it are the following: square table round table dining table bed bench (stone) bedside table open fireplace canopy bed tripod table high bookshelf low bookshelf round marble table rectangular marble table We'll also be introducing three new items: Empty low shelf Empty high shelf Bar top This feature has huge design impact, and will really open up possibilities about showing off and decorating. We're extremely excited to see it finally come, and hope you are too. Once it's launched, we'll be running a room designing competition, so think about what you'd like to do with your decorations! Introducing the content creation club Valrei Entertainment Network! Last news we had a small competition for suggestions to title our new streamer support program, and there were a ton of great ones, we eventually settled on the Valrei Entertainment Network by CIRAY, as the name. We've had a few applicants and will be reviewing them all over the coming week or so, expect an announcement in relation to it soon! Animal crates A little feature no one really knew about that we haven't told anyone about is animal crates! (just kidding, we don't have amnesia) And we're readying up for some public testing with them over this coming weekend and maybe a little next week. Still just a rat in a cage We'll be looking to check server crossings mostly, as our wonderful tester Alectrys has been hard at work breaking them in every other way. We'll have a thread up in public testing detailing everything we're looking for, so I hope you're keen for them! Now, I know you're all wondering "How long until this comes in?" and I have good news! These features should be in with the next update! As for the hard date on that it's not yet firm, but we are planning for this and more in time for wurms 12th anniversary, so buckle up! There's a lot to get ready for, from building tables, to working out which personal goals you want to achieve, to comforting your animals before moving them to the next server, so you all get busy and make sure to come on to test! Until then though, keep on Wurming! Retrograde & the Wurm team

Well, here we are, and I know somewhere, someone has thought of it but I'm putting this suggestion in. “Buoy Marker's”. Would be great to place (in the water) to mark and check distance's using the dioptra, combined with the marker flags we are able to create, with regular or mooring rope. This would allow measurement of deep water to perhaps calculate: dirt amounts, slope, distances more efficiently. Simple but highly needed idea. It could also be used to put on a dirt pillar for bridges, of which dirt is being added, to calculate remaining amount needed to finish.

To be honest, this is not a code issue, this is a player issue and doesn't need code support. Emails for an animal being uncared for? That sounds really really over the top when we don't even get a warning when your deed is about to disband. Rather just make sure you don't own animals that have care slots you cannot control. If you purchase an animal, ask the seller to open the care slot. If they cannot do that, then it really wasn't their animal to begin with so it's buyer beware. If you find an animal thats cared for, it really was someone elses animal to begin with - if you insist on taking it, then be ready that it may be uncared for one day. If you are confident that they legit quit the game altogether and that is the reason you want to take their animals for yourself, then you have no worries about them stop caring. So you're basically saying " I think this guy quit and I want to take his animals, but I'm afraid he might come back and I will lose the animals" - If he does come back, you should worry about having taken his animals and try to return them. Allowing to remove a care slot by branding screws over new players who may not be able to purchase a deed and have some horses they cared for - they cannot brand them and a random person can come by, take them, and remove all ownership. Care for lets you locate an animal through the manage animals windows so you could completely remove their ability to find their pet back, all in all this whole thing just seems to be to make it easier to take animals that aren't really yours.

I have checked over this thread, and there were no bids removed, the only bids on this thread were mclavin at 150s then deadwild at 75s if the OP was not accepting the other bid. Hopefully, this clarify's the matter.

Yes, but not all animals can reproduce their conditions. I had a male slow dog that died (cared for by someone else, so I assume they uncared for it), and males can't pass on conditions, so I was never able to breed more of them. GM spawns with special names can't produce animals with the same names either.

Sindusk Library [v1.3] Added a Property file handler. Updated error messages to log to file instead of only to the server console. Armoury [v2.0] Requires Sindusk Library v1.3 or higher. New Feature: Armour Stats Controls The previous method of configuration for armour DR settings has been reworked. It is now more functional with forwards-compatibility for future armours if they ever get added. There are now configurations for effectiveness and glance rates against certain incoming damage types per armour. These can be configured. New Feature: Material Control - You can now adjust the following properties for all materials in the game (iron, steel, adamantine, willow, leather, etc): Armour Damage Reduction - Additive bonus to base DR. Armour Movement - Percent reduction to movement speed penalty. Armour Effectiveness(New Mechanic) - Give a percent DR modifier to specific incoming damage types. Armour Glance Rate(New Mechanic) - Give a percent glance rate modifier to specific incoming damage types. Weapon Damage - Percent modifier to weapon damage. Weapon Speed - Percent modifier to weapon swing speed. Weapon Parry - Modifier to the parry bonus. Weapon Armour Damage - Percent modifier to amount of damage inflicted to armour. Item Damage - Percent modifier to damage taken on use. Item Decay - Percent modifier to decay taken. Item Difficulty Modifier(New Mechanic) - Percent modifier to difficulty checks. Item Spell Effect Modifier(New Mechanic) - Percent modifier to effective spell effect power. Item Specific Spell Effect Modifier(New Mechanic) - Same as spell effect modifier, but only for specific enchants/spell effects. Item Action Speed(New Mechanic) - Percent modifier to action speeds such as mining, harvesting, improving, etc. Does not affect weapon speed. Item Creation Bonus - Percent increase for creation towards 100. Item Improve Bonus - Percent modifier for improve power. Item Shatter Resistance - Percent chance to resist shatter. Item Lockpick Bonus - Bonus modifier for lockpicking success. Item Anchor Bonus - Percent chance to avoid drifting. Item Pendulum Effect - Percent modifier to effect of pendulums. Item Repair Speed - Percent modifier to speed of repair. NOTE: WU Vanilla bug affects this, details in properties file. Item Bash Modifier - Percent modifier to bash damage. Does not affect weapon damage. Miscellaneous Improved configuration options to handle armour names, material names, and damage type names instead of their numerical id. Fixed a rare bug where dual wield changes would not function sometimes. Note: The mod now loads certain files from the source that may conflict with other mods. ServerTweaks is among them. If you experience a crash with another mod saying a class is frozen, please add the mod name to the depend.suggests configuration in the properties file. If updating from Armoury v1.0: Unfortunately due to the sheer amount of changes that have occurred to the configuration file, you'll likely want to reconfigure the mod from scratch. I apologize for the inconvenience but I'm looking forward with my configurations this time instead of doing it the fastest way possible. Spellcraft [v3.1] Requires Sindusk Library v1.1 or higher. Updated the damage modifier calculations to account for new material modifiers. Improved some code to integrate properly with the new Armoury update. Fixed a concurrent modification exception in the healing rework. SinduskLibrary: Download (GitHub) Armoury: Download (GitHub) Spellcraft: Download (GitHub)

Thank you for being so straight foward it does tend to makes things uncomplicated . I am not sure what happened to all the great things of markets but now days a lot of them have dried up. I just had a friend do some research for me at all starter and major markets. A lot of things are not near the pricing they are now and some things have tons of damage on them.. The new WURM with its smaller player base is a lot leaner and meaner with its money and 10x more frugal. Might be time for a serious rethink on just market based sales.

Best way is to plan ahead; you need to know you are going to make the mine ceiling high to begin with, before you mine anything at all. Start as physically high up as you can (where you want your ceiling to be) and then, once you've mined the X and Y dimensions of the cavern out, proceed to mine your floors. Aside from mining the ceiling there aren't any easy ways to do this kind of work to a pre-existing minesystem though, perhaps someone more familiar with the recent mechanics may have a better answer for you. Best of luck.

Hey throwing a suggestion up to hopefully get feedback and a fix to what seems a little simple to be implemented but annoying to not have. In regards to Quality of Life i believe having a change to how we receive our bonuses mainly when we pay our premium and depending on the amount of months paid for we are given sleep powder as a added incentive to using the store. I was unfortunate to take a loss on this bonus being on epic when the payment went through and no action could be done to simply transfer the 2x powders to freedom as i have the highest skills and benefit grinding on freedom with the new skill transfer to epic being available i have no need for it elsewhere. The friend would sometimes request a sleep powder in exchange for paying for it and i reminded him before going to bed while i was out away from a portal. TLDR: Change how we receive sleep powder from just getting it to your inventory but giving your account the amount so when and wherever you want to withdraw while choosing however many you have available, similar to the rarely used reimbursement option at tokens.

Is there any chance we can get "slay valrei creature" goals removed from the list, seeing as they no longer spawn on chaos and spawn in reduced numbers on epic. One person needs to slay a sol demon but none have spawned in about a month, several of us need deathcrawlers and despite a few spawns, none have been found. Plus it counts them as a silver goal despite being rather difficult to kill, in terms of locating them as well as slaying. Also i learned that the amount of valrei creature spawns have been reduced, so when the goal was made it was classed as relatively easy, i believe that the goal should be upgraded to reflect the increase in difficulty. Plus having to go to epic and find them means, despite the player count, there is the risk of pvp
