    Bugfix: Fixed active item glowing bright white when observed by another player. Bugfix: Addressed some client stuttering and freezing occurrences. Bugfix: Brass, lead, tin and zinc chain horse bardings now show on the horse PREVIEW CLIENT ONLY New keys to bind to: SCROLLUP – Moving scroll wheel up. SCROLLDOWN – Moving mouse scroll wheel down. New actions to bind: ACTIVATE_TOOL_NEXT – Activates the next tool to the right in the toolbelt. ACTIVATE_TOOL_PREVIOUS – Activates the next tool to the left in the toolbelt. Both actions will cycle through the toolbelt when reading the respective end (next 1-9 back to 1, previous 9-1 back to 9). Holding ALT while scrolling will now cause mouse scrolling to ignore UI elements. NOTE: If the current live client is launched these actions and keys will be removed from the player configuration and will need rebinding upon launching the preview client again.

    Hey guys, as some of you might already know I really enjoy making Wurm content but unfortunately the last few months various technical issues have made my PC unable to render video. However, I have managed to use enough duct tape and glue to piece together along with some steroids for the koalas that power my internet which has allowed me to finally be able to stream (no rendering yay!) So going forward I'm going to be streaming Wurm atleast once a week minimum on what I call Wurm Wednesday. Which I'm not sure how it'll work out as a format but I figure It'll just be a free flowing almost podcast style stream as I hunt around and explore. Today I used the Wurm Online discord to chat with Retrograde, Grifo and afew others about afew different topic with topics like; the new changes to affinities, Wurm new years resolutions etc. Which was really enjoyable. So I figure for the time being, this will be a good place to start at for stream content. Unless any issues arise with this idea, everyone will be free to join the discord and join in with the stream which I think will make things alittle more engaging and interesting to have a wide variety of characters involved. In fact any and all feedback will be invaluable, from stream quality, audio etc are all areas I really want to learn more about and improve to make the best possible content. Since streaming is entirely new to me, there's alot I don't know and could use the pointers with. If you'd like to get notified of when at other occasions through the week when I stream (Wurm, PUBG, Hearthstone and others). Aswell as this I'm currently trying to work out how to get my stream available to be watched after they've gone live, since unfortunately being on the ass end of the planet my streaming times probably won't fit with most people.     So, I was trying to go back through the news articles on here to try and find some stuff for a post I'd made (Referencing a decay bug and statements that were made in regards to decorative items no longer decaying on deed with upkeep over 30 days/a list made/whether open fireplaces and smelters counted in that list.)...and I found a few 'issues'. For example : This news article leads to a link that leads to a 404 not found page. This news article got misnamed somehow and no longer shows the number. This news article seems to be missing in the list...but can be found by searching. This one... and this one are both marked as Valrei International 050. This news article was just marked as 'Breaking news' instead of as 052. ...and I still didn't manage to find the news article referencing smelters being added, to read whether it counted in that list of items that shouldn't decay. I would've just messaged this to Retrograde, but I messaged him in reference to another thing he asked me to message him about and it's still marked as 'Not read' days later. Someone possibly dropping the ball behind the scenes?

Dominikk, Sklo, Engineer Everyone is dedicated to make this work and guarantee the best wurming experience. Our lead developer Dominikk has got a master's degree in Software engineering & Internet computing and is working as Cyber Security Specialist, he also has been a Linux and Windows server admin for a living in the past. His main task is determined to keep your progress save. He put down a backup plan so you can see how serious we take it. Data Safety Backups will happen every 3 hours daily and every Monday there will be a weekly backup. They will be stored local on the server in Germany and all backups are transferred to a server in Austria about 800km away too. Further more we keep daily backups up to one month and weekly backups up to 6 months. So if something goes wrong we likely can restore ingame items up to 6 months. Treasure chests should no longer spawn with locks. Creature slaying bounties will now go directly to bank. The different pauldron types are now craftable with a high difficulty.     Better looking alternative for steppe-like tile (no bushes and trees). Not replacement but something similar. Drastically reduced tree and bushes spawn and spread Any grass tile without tree or bush for longer then x days can became meadow It means that if you put effort once and maintain area for some time, cutting all trees and bushes, you can have meadow, where trees and bushes will have reduced spawn rate, thus don't need to maintain it constantly. Meadow won't push trees back. It means that if you plant a tree on it, it will last. Also for bushes. Also maybe an option for increased non-aggressive animals spawn?

    Furl Sails - Set Sails - An on going suggestion since 2013 We are still missing one major game improvement that would add to the realism of our medieval world. Can the Dev's please bring in a speed selection toggle switch for boats and ships, with FURL SAILS and SET SAILS ? FURL SAILS would reduce a boat or ship's speed to 2.5 km/ph so you can maneuver in a tight harbour and dock your boat at the pier or wharf in a Strong Wind or Gale without risking ending up 4 tiles inland in your neighbor's house. SET SAILS would allow a boat of ship move at what ever the wind or passengers rowing will push I along at. Here in PvE folks love to build beautiful things, like a fancy Harbour's or Marina's. But a fancy Harbour or Marina is impossible to use in Strong Winds or in Gale Force winds. The FURL SAILS, SET SAILS speed selection for boats and ships would definitely enhance game play and enjoyment of the game. We are a medieval era game and back in those ancient times, boat and ship captain did FURL SAILS to enter a harbour and SET SAILS after leaving a harbor. Can we please have this ability in Wurm? 80% of the Premium Customer base for WOL are located on the PvE servers, as per the Wurm usage graphs and just then numbers you see of people per server when you log on. Can we ask that you look after us please for a change, with this small but very game enjoyment enhancing improvement. Oh.... and I can imagine that the PvP folks would enjoy it also, would give them a new tactic to use in ship to ship combat.     Could someone take a few minutes out of their very busy Dev schedule and actually make the in game map "K" look like the letter k and not another h. This has been int he game forever and people still make the mistake of saying they are at h when they mean k on the map because there is no difference in the appearance to most people.     Not always sure whether to start a new thread, or resurrect an old one. Given the timing of past threads, I decided to start a new one relating to past ones. The topic came up recently in one of the Valrei International discussions. I got curious as to why it isn't possible to pick a sprout from horseback and wanted to know more about the history of requests. Two reasons seemed to come up as cause for a -1: Macro - Some seemed to say it would make it easier to macro. Others disagreed. I wouldn't call it conclusive and honestly don't think I would consider it a viable reason for a -1. A vast majority of players are not looking to macro and should not be punished for the occasional bad apple. Where's the line! - A more popular reason seems to be where we draw the line as to what can be done on horseback. The most common response, and a compelling one imho, is to point out all the things we can already do on horseback. The line wasn't drawn then, it shouldn't be drawn here. Things we can do from horseback currently, as far as I can tell, please add others you know of: Imping Arrows. Repairing Armor. Paving? Healing Self. Healing Others. Butchering. Burying. Lighting a forge. Plant Cat's Eyes. (Thanks Muse!) Saccing. (As per MrGary in Alyeska's thread.) Collecting snowballs (As per Cecci in Alyeska's thread.) Reinforcing. (As per JakeRivers in Alyeska's thread.) Past threads: 2010 :: only 2 responses, both -1. 2011 :: +10, -5 2012 :: +5, -1 2014 :: Yes 92, No 28. A poll made by Protunia who had been a -1 in both previous threads. Now a +1. Many of the -1's in the body of the thread are more about disdain for Protunia than the suggestion. 2015-->2017 :: +31, -4 An interesting idea was brought up by @Tavariellin the 2014 thread. The idea being linking the ability to do certain things on horseback to the related skill, or perhaps to body control. Based on all the above, I would propose we push this through to implementation before a 2019 thread. Thank you much.

    The change notes referred to the damage from weapon enchants (frostbrand, flaming aura etc), not to the physical wounds themselves. If the change did include physical wounds, I'd be very upset.

    This is my view of on celebration images are me looking left, straight north, and then right from an island's north shore... It would appear creature movement is still broken or bugged, as usual. It's quite hard to tell, but in this area there are over 30 chickens, nearly 40 cows/bulls, a few horses, and somewhere between 5-10 sheep. I didn't factor seals in nor did I look behind me for a screenshot which has more mobs slowly migrating their way to the shore.

    @ausimus Would you consider creating fur and hide clothing? We're on a survival server and would LOVE to be able to craft buffalo clothing for warmth, as well as things like fur boots and capes.

    I wanted to thank you all for everything you do for this great game called Wurm Online. I'm sure you don't hear this enough either! Thank you to the Developers, so far 2018 has been amazing with a surge of content, bug fixes, and QoL improvements to the game. I cannot wait to see the new UI and future improvements to the game! I also want to thank the Staff team for doing a excellent job dealing with player issues, bugs, etc. I'm sure a lot of you probably don't hear this often but it means a lot to us and we thank you for your volunteer efforts & contribution to the game thank you. We players can be very hard to deal with now and then, and it might annoy you that we never stop asking for more content, or complain. However like you, we are just as passionate about the game - so I thank you for the patience and understanding, it means a lot. Thank You

    Any form of "grow this on purpose" would be good, for all plant-based resources really. It's nice that they are finally catching up with various berry bushes and such, hopefully this one is just a matter of time.

    Trade is required WHEN person A can find or craft something that person B needs but can't easily find or craft AND person B can find or craft something that persion A needs but can't easily find or craft. That's all there is to it actually. Here's why it's not working in wurm online and how it could hypothetically work: PROBLEMS Problem: Established players can find or craft most of the resources themselves. Accounts that are ten years old are able to produce most of the things by themselves. There's no more blacksmith, or chainsmith, or platesmith. Most high end accounts have all those skills at high level and if it weren't for the priest restrictions, people would only need 1 premium account to do everything by themselves. Problem: Resources can be found everywhere. You can plant farm 1000m up on a cold windy mountain, plant a forrest next to the salty water and produce lots of wood, have high quality metal veins in a populated area next to your house and find enough rock next to the water to build the great wall of China. Problem: New players cant produce anything of value for older players. A new player has to invest way too much time in order to participate in the trade. Problem: Trade & transportation mechanics cost much more than production mechanics. If it's easier for me to mine 4000 rock shards than have someone transport them to me via cart or ship, i'll do that myself. PROPOSED SOLUTIONS Limit multi-skilling If you think about it, the introduction of priesthood was just the introduction of new tradeable materials/services which required players to use a different account. While most people can afford a 2nd account to have everything producable by themselves, that wouldn't be the case if we had a "class" system that would allow only certain skills to be leveled up. This is why all games introduce classes in order to force players to cooperate. If a warrior could be a healer, a mage, a druid an archer and a rogue at the same time, he wouldn't need the assistance of other players thus he wouldn't need to join a guild or trade his services for the services of someone else. It would be great if we'd group the new and upcoming skills in classes and players would be required to select one of these classes on their accounts. Limit resource production to environment Trees shouldn't be able to sprout (easily) next to the water, a farm shouldnt be able to grow on a mountain and rock layer shouldn't be so easy to find next to water. That way people would either need to have 10 different deeds and move around them for all required resources or contact someone living on a different area to provide locallly produced goods. Make transportation easier We're leaving in the Year of the Bulk. 10.000 of an item is nowadays the norm. The current containers, carts, wagons and boats are living in the Year of the Raft. Production has gone up, storage has become easier, but transportation is still how it used to be back in 2010 in wurm. We have to allow containers to hold more. We have to allow transporting vehicles to hold more containers and we have to make transportation faster. Frequently introduce new useful skills New skills that would produce valuable items for players would allow newer players to get into a market not already established by over-grinded old accounts.

    Pingperfect http://pingperfect.com/gameservers/ Great service low price been with them since start of WU had only 3 issues ever with them on WU first to where answered and fixed in under 7 mins 5 mins to answer the ticket and 2 mins to fix the issue. the 3rd was answered in 8 mins and fixed in a hour cause had to transfer game and stuff over to new mainframe. My service has been super amazing and fast. If I ever have a question I get a very fast response time from support. Even had tools made for me. When WU first had a beta branch I contacted them asked them about it and they made me a tool that day to opt in to beta branches. So yes very good company cheap in price great servers. They have been way cheaper than other top server host. I run a 3gig server for WU and it only cost me 15.96 USD a month. Just want to give them a shout out for giving me a amazing service since WU came out.

The entries are comma separated and resolved from mods/modname folder. modname is the name of the properties file without ".properties"
