    I just have to say that since I shared that post, a friend who I haven't been in contact with in some time has spoken to me about their interest in Wurm and plans on seriously trying it out. Word of mouth works!

    Dear Xanadians! (and everyone else reading this) We have created a fully fledged connection between the mainland and Newspring. Starting now, you can send your wagoneers and find your way to Newspring (and vice versa) in style. I introduce to you: the Newspring Connection Highway. The highway connects the main highway system built in these areas by Harthim to the the absolutely stunning bridge system made by Shmeric: Key Facts: 887 tiles (3.55 Km) long Broken ground: November 27th, 2016 - Finished: February 4th, 2018 Materials needed: far too many to count, in bricks alone estimated 29k, dirt well over 50k 130 tile long, 3 wide tunnel 3 bridges, two of which maximum length (38 tiles) and witdth (3 tiles) This highway was designed based on a philosophy: making travel as fast as possible. Because no other highway design would have been appropriate to connect into the majestic Newspring Bridge. That is the reason why this highway is (perhaps) one of the most advanced highways in wurm, with maximum slopes of 5 (except for a single 25 tile section of 15 slopes), using bridges over valleys, tunnels through mountains and carved passes - making up for some beautiful scenery along the way.     Anybody can go stand on a pile of moss/peat/clay and dig for a really long time without their gains stopping. I'm able to hit the anti-macro code for regular dirt digging simply by having one character flatten the tile I'm on while I dig away at the corner. Alternate suggestion: Instead of neutering the anti-macro code, give it some steroids. Whenever it's triggered, alarms go off. Sirens. Big'uns. Every single active dev and GM is insta-ported to the location of the infraction. Statements are taken. Logs are examined. Forensic images of drives are taken. Porn folders are scoured for hidden macro-ing software, while everybody goes *tsk* *tsk* as the file names are evaluated in global chat, you dirty, dirty pervert. I mean seriously, dude, that's somebody's grandma. After the first few times this happens, I expect the code will be adjusted to something appropriate instead of people running around without getting skill gains because some ancient check decided they were filthy cheaters but didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Alternate alternate suggestion: Maybe just flash some text on the screen saying that skill gain has been disabled.

    yeah it's a PR thing, it could be argued that Twitter is more effective. not everyone on my list is going to see the post i publicly shared. Still, anything that raises awareness to the fact that WO even exists. gets a +10 from me

    Different metals used in arrows heads giving different properties: Iron, default. Steel, 20% more durability (usually think steel should give more, but the metal doesnt matter in imping so not this time). Lead, 5-10% additional damage in lead poison (just poison wound). Bronze, Easier to improve like maple. Gold/Silver, Slight shine so arrows are easier to see ONLY when its night. (not like a lamp, more the glow from a turret if its less laggy). Brass, Resonance. Ringing a bell locates the nearest brass headed arrow within 5 + ql/5 tiles away and tells you the direction in event chat. Harder to improve. (Lol the only real reason im making this suggestion) Admantine, Arrows take more damage but NEVER just shatter. Only when at 100 dmg. deal 5-10% more damage. Glimmersteel, Arrows shine just like gold and silver, deal 5-10% more damage. Seryll, Never shatters from a casts. 5-10% more damage. Can't think of anything for tin and zinc. I'll be honest though I just want the brass one XD.

    Erm... You'd need to add.... 18 new items for each type of wood in the game (and 18 new items for each added to the game). This would be mechanically inefficient as you'd be adding over 180 new items to the game database. Wheras, with a second material component, you'd not need to add any. It would be much much hearder to code through; however, this effort would potentially pay off in the future as it would open up other possiblities (dual material items, cross skill imping etc) +1 for the OP, I like the ideas there a lot; an extra +1 to adding a second material slot to each item.

    +1 Probably be weird to implement as the floor and ceilings are all technically the same tile but....the data is there so no reason i can think of why it couldn't be made to display that information.

    Not wagoners... but i've made a mod that uses the highway network to allow teleportation (along with vehicles, mounts, etc.) between connected deeds. (Highway Portals)

    I don't care so much about the arrowheads having attributes, buy I support the addition of second material types being listed and giving the bonuses tied to them. So +1

    then we moan about why nothing gets advertised Like/Sharing is pushing this game out to many people on friend lists, if they even press like/comment just for fun, it goes to their friends and so on. unfortunately there has to be some incentive to share, so there is a knar as a prize.

    Understood that people won't like using that kind of portals, but you guys think what about this contest is? It's purpose is to spread a word about Wurm, not to just pick random wurm user to gave him a knarr.

    id like to participate in this, but like a few other posts I don't use facebook. using facebook is a serious invasion of a persons privacy and its rather unfair to require that to enter a game draw. FACEBOOK IS PURE EVIL!!!!

    People can destroy houses, that took thousands of bricks and mortar to make, with one click, so why not a boat/vehicle? Should be possible just by clicking a button in management (owner only).

Wheel barrow Created by using 1 wheel on a shaft (Create >> Wheel barrow) Add 3 more shafts 6 planks Done Carries 20 dirt Carries only 400 KG MAX Can only hold a few barrels (Volume) Reasons why? Much easier to create than a cart and you can travel somewhat faster with it than with a cart, much faster movement over grass and dirt

    Updated to v0.6 Added new surfaces: bed, canopy bed, anvil, wardrobe, bench, magical chest, large barrel, larder, planter rack, royal lounge chaise (thanks to @Malenaand@Batta!)     Game-change suggestions aside, shouldn't it be somewhat possible to have rows of trees, then just harvest the middle rows whenever you need wood? Self-fixing forests as long as you maintain whichever pattern's best for spreading.

    Where do I write something else? The greet file is a java file. Do I need to find a way to open it? Never mind, I just discovered I can drag and drop it into Notepad++. :-)

    Because people said this new process would make everything more time consuming, which isn't true because trows should fix that, but yeah. I think I'm just going to write how I want to see the farming handled in the game and the developers and players could pick out what they find is good or bad, maybe even come up with better ideas.

    Hm i just noticed that in your config entries it uses a comma as a decimal separator... i guess it's a locale thing. This is not good because it also uses a comma to separate the values so the config won't load right once you restart the server. Like a bench is definetly not a 1m by 1m square The way i usually do it is put 4 items and push them to each corner as far as they would go, then tweak the numbers until they are visually sitting on the corner.

    Anybody know the mayor of this deed? Or any villagers? My hellhorse died on this deed and the gear is there and inaccessible to me. The horseshoes are named "jhnstn."     Alright, so about everybody knows the pain of making mortar in the game... One of the most dreaded tasks anybody worries about moving into So I was thinking that it'd be a neat mechanic if we could mix batches of mortar, in say a container, like a barrel or something, that we have clay in the barrel, and apply sand to it, and mix it till it's mixed to a good enough consistency, possibly using a % mechanic, with chances to fail either reducing the % or just not adding to it or just minimal adding to it... cause... How does a person mess up, mashing sand and clay together? Course with this making larger batches of mortar at a time... would also require much longer to do so, just to be fair, it'd have to be 2x the amount of time it'd take to make the same amount of what the mass would be in the barrel the normal way.

    Bring back bashing carts/boats. Only allow if unlocked or have manage permission. Lock your stuff and set perms properly and you are set for life on freedom, especially since things create locked now

    Arium makes a great point. Lets remove destroying via Mauls and Huge axes in general. We should make it so all items should be destroyed by a mechanic that can only be available through meditation on a path people don't use often. -1 to OP, +1 to making the game stupid

    -1 Unnecessary brutality for the woodcutters. It is just annoying to keep distance, watch for player's position, and so on... (every single bit of damage is buffing action timers) What's next, slipping or falling to death in holes or collapsing walls and ceilings while digging and mining? Sunburn deaths from fishing or rng rips as you ride around the map on your horse?..

    winter should be a lot tougher, as in lakes frozen over, blizzards, not just the occasional snow flakes, and so on. just because some cant read, i've bolded LAKES, i am not referring to oceans, i mean LAKES, that can be easily walked around, i am not talking about freezing the ocean, that wouldnt make a lick of sense, and i'm well aware, that wurm is set in temperate and not arctic, but it was just an idea.

    so... from what i can tell (and correct me if i'm wrong, just not with the cane please) any creature wandering inside a deed gets deed bonus and adds to the ratio, sometimes causing messy ratio jumps why not make it so only branded creatures count? because some areas have many non hostile creatures wandering around and can cause issues. and since you cant plan a fence over 40 slope: cant fence up the entire area sometimes. i find it to be annoying to pay for a deed, and to have your animals protected while inside, but needing to basicly pay for wild creatures wandering in, and it seems some (seals, cant tell for others its all that spawns here) just where attracted to the deeds, moved in and didnt get out.
