    I'm working on a fix, rather than have the GM team correct them all by hand. Current issues found thanks to your help: Freedom skills are less than they were. This is the result of skills that were very close between Epic and Freedom. I inadvertently used the new calculated Epic value instead of the Freedom value. I know the cause of this and have a plan to fix everyone affected during a future downtime. You do not need to log support tickets now for this issue. It will be corrected. Stats have been reset after going to Freedom or Epic The important part of this so far is it's just stats that appear to be affected. I do not know the cause yet, so please feel free to submit a ticket for this. If you are certain this has happened to more than just stats, please indicate that on the ticket. Update: So for stats, I'm finding it's first-time transfers doing this. So if you've never been to Epic or Freedom before, it seems to be blanking out your stats. I do not have a fix yet, but please be aware of this. If you've been between both clusters before, you should be fine and not lose any stats. If you still lose stats and you know you've been between clusters, please indicate that in your ticket. I brought a reduced skill back from Freedom to Epic This is another one that I have not found a cause for yet. Please log tickets and make sure to include what servers on their respected clusters you traveled between. Also include the skills you notice are lower. You do not need to include values as I have snapshots of everything and can verify what you had so long as you include the server names. If you notice anything that does not fit these descriptions, please both PM me on the forums and submit a ticket so I can easily find your affected character. Remember: Server and skill names are important. Values can be omitted. You can submit notes against a ticket if you need more space. Lastly you may not get a reply regarding your ticket. I've been assigning them to my Dev account in-game (Rizi) and keeping them open for tracking purposes. I will reply if I need information, but seeing as this is affecting at least a dozen people so far, I do expect to be fixing everyone at the same time. When the patch is ready and released, I will close the tickets. Thank you for your patience. I know this isn't as smooth as I had hoped and I know that it can be disappointing to be hindered by these issues, but I am working on this as quickly as possible. Thank You, Wurm Online Team

    I have wanted saddlebags for years. Now, especially with archaeology, it would be amazing to be able to throw some heavy frags into the pack of your horse that you lead around anyway. Or sprouts, or flowers, or olives, etc, if you're out harvesting things. Please? Pretty please? *throws in a cherry*

    As a mayor or with the right deed permissions allow the removal of mine reinforcements in one action using a crowbar. Edit: currently you have to mine 40+ actions leaving a weak vulnerable cave wall that needs removing and collapsing. Removing the reinforcement using a crowbar would not deplete the number of actions remaining in the cave wall.

    [05:48:43] You can see multiple markers of abandoned settlements here. Based on your knowledge of the area and small hints you can find, one of the settlements must have been called The Rodeo. You find a scrap of washed out parchment signed by the last mayor, Redhawk. [05:49:39] A high guard tower. It could be improved with a rock shards. Ql: 78.50438, Dam: 0.0. The name of the founder, Redhawk, has been carved into the stone above the door. 'Redhawk 418' is engraved in a metal plaque on the door. This was seriously screwing with me. For those unaware, I own Redhawk now - for the past two years. I never knew him to be from Deli, at all. I was ontop of a mountain, searching around. friend told me "Red....look at this guard tower" I walked over, expecting it to be a big name, .......well, I wasn't wrong...I was instantly like ......"What?" For 10 seconds I just sat there trying to figure out how the heck, then it clicked that, obviously, it wasn't me. But I lived below that area for a very long time, and NEVER saw Redhawk, or ever even see him in chat/local/ect for deli. Was very confused. So I did some arch, found that he also owned the deed, and looked up the deed. apparently he was there for a good amount of time. Very interesting night to say the least.

    Hey, I love the new archaeology, but I have a small nagging issue with how the wording is set up.... can we please move the numerical portion of the text for all items to the end of the name, please? This: Should look like this: ore fragment [1/26], copper ore fragment, copper [1/26] ore fragment [1/26], lead ore fragment, copper [3/26] ore fragment [3/26], copper ore fragment, copper [25/26] ore fragment [3/26], iron ore fragment, iron [3/26] ore fragment [12/26], lead ore fragment, lead [1/26] ore fragment [25/26], copper ore fragment, lead [12/26] This would assist many of us that like piecing together all the fragments you all provide us, not just the unique ones.     With both transfers done, we are now facing a new game meta, grind on Freedom and copy/paste your skills on Epic. Why not have an incentive to actually play on Epic and have a boost to the skills you have pushed there when you come back to freedom. I'm not speaking of a 1:1 transfer, but applying the same boost epic players had on their reduced skills, making the new skill grind on freedom less of an hassle and the time spent on the other cluster more valuable.

    New Item: Cave Planter Box which will function identical to dirt tile for growing crops, but in caves. New Item: Grow Lamp which will provide special lighting for growing crops in caves. New Spell: Sunlight (20 favor, 40 skill) available to all faiths which is cast on any iron lamp to convert it to a Glow Lamp. Create Recipe for Cave Planter Box: plank and plank to start Additional: 1 Dirt, 2 plank, 4 large nail, 1 Grow Lamp May be improved with a plank. Create Recipe for Grow Lamp: (glows the color of the dye) An Iron Lamp dyed any color Casting Sunlight on an iron lamp produces a Grow Lamp. Fuel not required. This is a magical lamp. Grow Lamps cannot be planted. They are an ingredient in the Cave Planter Box only. Model: Square wood box filled with dirt and an iron lamp planted in the center of the square or at the north corner. (an idea). Examine: A cave planter box suitable for growing crops underground. Sunlight has been cast on it so it will grow crops of higher quality. [50]. Weight: 50kg (just to make it easier to purchase and transport). Properties: The quality of the box increases the time to harvest (along with tending). The strength of the cast improves the quality of the harvest (along with skill of farmer). Cave Planter Box may be placed on a merchant, dropped, picked up, etc. Once planted, it cannot be picked up or moved except by owner but may be destroyed by bashing. To Use: Locate flat cave tile and "Plant" Cave Planter Box Cultivate Plant crop of any kind Once crop is planted, the box glows the color of the Grow Lamp Harvesting or weeds will cause glow to stop Tends and harvest identically to crops. Alt Benefit: May also be a source of food for animals. They may graze it. Maintenance: Each harvest does some damage to the Cave Planter Box, maybe 10%, so repair is necessary for maintenance of this awesome item!!!

    First of all there is no such thing as "ocean" tiles. All underwater tiles are normal tiles (like dirt, sand, etc.) they just are lower than sea level. Regarding fish... the code is kinda hard to follow so take the following with a grain of salt. It counts the number of tiles lower than 3 dirt under water within 10 tiles from you in all cardinal directions (not square!, it's like a + 21 tiles in in height, and 21 across), and it also checks the maximum depth within those tiles. If you are fishing in a cave you always get group 1. If there are less than 9 tiles underwater you get group 1, if there are 9 or more but less than 20, or if the maximum depth is above 250 you get group 2 else you get group 3. So for best results have 10+ tiles of underwater in at least 2 directions from you and at least 250 dirt deep. group 1 - roach and perch or chance of carp group 2 - roach, perch, trout, pike, catfish or chance of carp group 3 - roach, herring, trout, pike, catfish, carp, bass or chance of special fish Special fish - octopus, marlin, shark (blue/white), sailfish, dorado, tuna Your skill level and rod rarity affect the chance to get special fish (or carp for group 1/2) Out of every 100x100 tiles there will be a 10x10 area for every special fish type (possibly overlapping) and those will change with season and server but should otherwise be static and repeating (so if you catch an octopus here, you should be able to go 100 tiles north and catch octopus again, assuming it's still in the middle of water). Note that even if you are in a special fish spot you are still rolling against the other fish in group 3, so you won't ALWAYS get the special fish. Higher skill and rod rarity helps.

    The formula isnt exact, and runs on a "best guess" calculation, after simulating millions of skillgain actions. This is why the 3x was added as well. The main reason for the skill transfer was due to the changes to the skilling system on Epic, with the new system in it moves further away from Freedom style gains and means the transfer option would not work well. If someone wishes to play on both, skilling on freedom to cross to epic to pvp isnt a bad thing, and it's something we encourage with the lack of cooldown on crossing and sleep bonus when on the other side.

    Just drop them off on my docks next to the HotA statue if you could and send me the bill for them in the mail(if I purchased them from you) and if it was a donation just make sure they are labeled with your name. I've had so many orders over the past few months I totally lost track of them all. One would think that after losing track of everything last year(and double ordering, hence why I had 6,000 70ql copper...) that I would've done a better job keeping it all marked down

    Thanks for the update. Just out of curiosity, why did you put fighting through the formula? That particular skill has never been any different from freedom.

    I'm not gonna weigh in on the whole thread here but this argument that its super hard on epic and too easy on freedom is one i see a lot and i wish everyone could just accept that it works both ways and if you play solely or mostly on one cluster you're unlikely to have a clear view of how it is on the other. Look: Maybe not how this thread suggests....but the whole "it should only exist on epic" thing is just weird and elitist and detrimental to everyone enjoying the game. Tbh just the fact that 10 of the 14 possible uniques are dragons with 1% tome drop rates should tell ya that they're not so easy to get on freedom. Then you get 50% chance on a humanoid IF you and your friends are the ones to find it and then IF it drops then you've got 20+ people all wanting 3 charges. It's a rare drop on both clusters.

    Epic to Freedom Skill Transfers A one time transfer for all Epic accounts skills as of the 2nd of November to Freedom will be performed during this update. We will be applying a calculation to remove the 2x skillgain and reduce Epic skills to an estimated Freedom equivalent. Freedom skills will then have their highest value set to equal to the original Epic skill and give a 3x multiplier until that is reached on Freedom. NOTE: THIS ONLY APPLIES IF YOUR PRE-ADJUSTED EPIC SKILL IS HIGHER THAN YOUR FREEDOM SKILL. IF YOUR FREEDOM SKILL IS HIGHER THAN YOUR PRE-ADJUSTED EPIC SKILL IT WILL NOT CROSS. Characteristics and Meditation skills will cross at a 1:1 ratio. Faith, Favour, and Alignment will not cross at all.     A limited capacity storage container placed on horses. Can/must be attached to a saddle & can be used to store extra, but small, things you would bring out with you. I.e. Water, healing covers, cotton, etc. Thoughts?

    The implications of this statement are pretty big. If you can go to a safe place on Freedom to skill what's the point of having a deed etc on Epic? You only need a deed in order to maintain a supply of horses, weapons etc. So realistically one deed could suffice for each kingdom's PVP needs. This is turn means that Epic becomes a place less lived in meaning fewer accidental encounters and targets of opportunity. Instead people can skill in safety and occasionally come over to fight on Epic knowing that everything of importance is safely protected back on Freedom. So with time, less deeds and lower population are likely on Epic except for the planned big battles between kingdoms. It's interesting that we've adopted a model which supports a more protected lifestyle rather then encouraged the older Epic view of nothing is really protected, PVP could happen anywhere including home servers.

    It would be awesome if the number of creatures we could care for were applied across creature types so that with a skill good enough to care for 5 animals, one could care for up to 5 of each kind of animal that has traits: 5 horses, cows, etc, rather than just 5 creatures total.

    Today's Random Enkounter found a guy down on his luck at Flamma on Elevation. Icylizard faced 3 daunting challenges. First he had to identify a house filled with apparently wealthy residents that was 76ql within 5 minutes. He failed to find it in time. Second, he had to forage 15 items! Completely barren of weapons and armor the local trolls union did not make this challenge very easy for him, but he succeeded with the assistance of the local Flamma guards. For his third challenge, he had to clear the road of scorpions. Well it was one scorpion and he had to devise a way to dispatch it with no weapons and armor. With some strategy he was able to bring it to the guards of the deed and make the road safe again. For his winnings, he received a supreme spear, a cheese drill, some haggis pudding and rat on a stick, as well as some pottery bricks and iron lamps. He is well on his way to making a cheese factory.

    I just wanted to say your post does an excellent job of describing your server and what it's all about! I currently play on the new Sklotopolis server (which is great) but am very tempted to give yours a try, mainly because there is no ability to buy silver. I am not against buying silver and have done so myself, but I think it has a HUGE impact on how a server and its economy develops. There is something about actually earning your silver that appeals to me. Oh, and you have the terraforming to/from your wagon mod which I adore and have missed greatly lol Anyway, very well done on the server and your post

    Although the timers and skill advancement are a bit slow for my taste I very much agree with you on this point. Sklo and crew are very attentive to the maintenance and progress of their server(s). Nice to see that they have not only lasted for almost 2 years (on Nov1) but continued to innovate with various improvements and mods to make their server(s) uniquely enjoyable. Well done! No doubt we will be singing Happy Birthday once again very soon to Sklotopolis, so I will save further remarks for that day. =Ayes=

    Update You can now use /meditate and /mediation to see your meditation cooldown. Distribution Boxes can now have different models. Updated some URLs in the Infos tab. Added custom PMK vendors who will sell all kind of PMK stuff. Added rifts to Sklotopolis, more information about our rift system coming soon. You will now receive karma as time bounty again. Voting bounty has been increased as promised to 25c. Sandstone veins on Novus and Caza have been fixed. Missions on Novus should be fixed now.

    I just want to add to the Owner's thanks. It is great to see so many new players joining us along for the ride. You won't be disappointed by your experiences here. The Sklo development team continues to push the limits of the game and their creativity by adding new features while trying to keep things balanced. Our population has reached new highs recently and our support staff never ceases to amaze with legendary service to the players. We are blessed to have such an amazing server and community! Sklotopolis is the best WU server around in my opinion. Thank you everyone involved for everything that you do to keep it that way!

    What about the houses with the built in floors? I hate going through a building and having the floors look like they are eating the wheels of my cart/wagon and the hooves of my horses. Both this issue and the OP should be addressed. +1
