    So I'm nobody and I know nothing. But I feel like life has taught me that with time, wounds heal. Right now, you can't bear to continue playing Wurm. We understand, and I'm sorry something happened to you that makes you feel that way. It must have been pretty bad, and I get you're hurting But in 6 months. Or 9 months. Or 18 months. You'll heal a bit, and feel better about it, and you might want to play again. And if you want to play, you will want these two excellent characters. I would withdraw this sale, sit on the toons, and walk away from Wurm. One day you'll be back, and you'll be glad to have your old friends Snoo and Fjalken waiting for you.

    Hello, I don't post much but people suggested to post about it here so here it comes. I am in no way a webdev, I have no aesthetic sense, it's not pretty, it's functional to certain extent. This is just a proof of concept, instead of messing around with ingredients and checksums, why not simply pick an affinity you want and have it presented to you in form of ingredients? As some o you know, we have worked out the new cooking system around xmas last year. This was quite profitable for a while, then prices went down to a point where laziness takes over profit. Used a spreadsheet for most of that time but since there are other tools available, I made this. Instructions are on the website, just few bullet points. Does not work for bugged toons, no point since all toons can be fixed. Only uses plain oven, too lazy to add a choice of rare/supreme More choices added. Test meal is bear meat + corn, both whole (not chopped, not minced, not diced) in a pan in plain oven (non-rare etc.) In top dropdown pick which affinity you got from the test meal, under that pick affinity you want to get from your meal. Choose number of ingredients. Those are additional ingredients, on top of "forced" bits like meat+ at least one vege in meal or sausage in pizza. At some point I will add an option to exclude ingredients which user doesn't have so for example it won't use parsley if you don't have any and toggle it off. For now, dragon meat, human meat, pumpkins and some other things I don't remember are switched off. Did not add that because I don't want to force players to create yet another account just to be able to save their ingredient sets. At some point i'll sit down and either add saving cookies locally or generate a 01 string which can be copy-pasted to text document and then back to the website to re-use the settings. I am limiting the ingredients to only chopped because same type plain + chopped does jack all other than filling the pan I suggest meals to people who don't have magic chest, easy and quick to make, with rubbish quality herbs and half-decent veggies you can get 6h+ affi on 20 ingredient meal Pizzas are a bit of an overkill but if you have the time to use up 12h+ affi timer from one bite, go for it. magic chest is a must for those in my opinion as they take a while to make. This was tested by dozens of people, I have been posting it in GL-Freedom, only one complaint but this is an odd one. Apparently one of the payers is affected by an odd bug where the test meal gives him one affi today but another one tomorrow. It bounces between the 2 affi depending on Wurm's mood. I have not pinpointed what can be wrong there yet but chances are that someone is messing with his head and swaps the test meals while he's offline Resolved, user error. If you are missing some of the ingredients, you can generate another combination for the same affinity. If the generator times out, try again, changing number of additional ingredients helps as well. Most important thing, especially to those who are new to Wurm or cooking in Wurm. If generator uses chopped ingredient, it must be chopped. I had people complaining that affinity doesn't match what they were looking for, after more investigating than it was worth, I asked for a screenshot of the pan contents before cooking them just to find out that they decided not to chop some or any of them. Missing one ingredient is another common problem. List is presented in alphabetical order, sort your FSB contents by name as well, makes it much easier. This is hosted on the cheapest Microsoft Azure SQL server (5DTU) so it may be slow, especially if many people use it at the same time. Again, it's just a proof of concept, I might expand it and scale the server up but not too pushed about it. Happy cooking! http://wurm.azurewebsites.net/

    It would be great if we could get a new breed of cat, a non-aggressive one - we could call it house cat instead of wild cat. Maybe one of those white fluffy ones They can help themselves to meat or fish in unlocked fsbs like real house cats do, jumping on counters and snacking, etc. That means they can be kept in a house and as long as you have food in your fsb you don't need to worry about dropping meat for it, which would make it a very attractive pet.

    Reflections - Shmeric Another week down, and despite that pesky dev team stealing some of my thunder with releasing unteased works, the latest update is out! Sure, it's old news, but we'll touch on these new containers and a little on the enchant fix too, but first... Patch Notes Bulk Container Unit The bulk container unit is the next level in bsb technology (I did want to name it the bsb 2000). This unit not only has the capacity of 4 bsbs, but also has them as shelves inside, meaning you can store and sort based on any attribute you desire. This functionality does come at a price though, not only does it take 4 finished bulk storage bins to build, it also requires a minimum of 50 fine carpentry. It's also quite difficult to build, so get those parts high quality before you try! Rack for empty bsb The rack for empty bsb's also comes in with this update. With all the new racks and containers, many bsb's are left lying around, unfilled and unloved. We can't help much with the unloved, but we can provide a save place to store them without cluttering up the place (and also improving performance by not having to render them all!). The rack for empty bsbs' is easier to make than its bulk container unit partner, and will happily hold up to 30 bsbs until you need to use them. Enchant decay changes Along with this update comes a few changes to how enchant power decays, and we'll go into them here. Previously, every 5 seconds of an action an enchant had a small chance of lowering by 1, this meant that if you were extremely unlucky, you could lose more than 1 point per action. This new system gives one chance per action, with the length of the timer determining the chance. This change also reduces chances of enchants being lost on actions under 10 seconds, in some cases enchants are up to 30% less likely to go down than before. This of course stacks with enchant power affecting it, with a 100 enchant being half as likely to lose a power, and rarity, with rare being five times less likely, supreme being ten times less likely, and fantastic fifteen times less likely. we'll be tweaking this slightly with leveling actions on dirt, but Enchants don't affect leveling anyways, so don't use your enchanted tools! Tapestry reveal Of course, the fanart tapestries had three very deserving winners, and Saroman has been hard at work adding them into the game. I managed to score a sneak peak, and reveal the ingame versions of these winners, so without further adieu I think they all look fantastic, and have three tapestry stands waiting to build each one, which will you build first? Animal cages I've seen a few requests for an update on animal cages, so I figured I'd touch a little on them to keep you in the loop. They're currently still in the works, with the intricacies of crossing servers and not having them needing to be put back together by Enki and a pot of glue. On the bright side, Enki has developed an eight legged horse that we think could win the Kentucky derby, but there's currently no ETA on their addition to the game (the cages, not the eight legged horses). When we get closer to their release we'll do a complete showcase and go into detail about how it all works. Community Content This weeks community content is the unlucky burglar! The unlucky burglar is a small inn located in celebration, right on the edge of hunting grouns and other ammenities. If you're in the area, or want to visit Celebration and see what it has to offer, make sure to book a room!     The bird chirping sound is the sound fileds make when they grow at daytime (at night it's a weird crickets sound), this is the same on both WU and WO AFAIK. On WU it can be significantly obnoxious since all the fields on the server grow at the same time. It should be less noticeable on WO because fields growth is handled by the tile poller so it happens randomly throughout the day. But i guess if there's a lot of fields around there's still a chance for a few of them to grow at almost the same time.

    Hey Ulviirala I like your mods, the mod for the treasure maps is also awesome. I like that you are also (after friya -loottables) make mods where you can change the settings without restarting the server, i hope a lot of new mods will come with this feature. Happy wurming Eject

    Forum Reporting vs. Support Tickets I have been receiving a number of complaints from a small number of people concerning our Moderators and Game Masters telling people to report their issue on the forums instead of telling it to a moderator to report it. These people seem to want to think that the Mod team is simply being lazy and not doing their job or just not interested in helping them. The truth is that most of these individuals just like to waste our time with complaints, but I felt it was worthwhile to explain to everyone again why we ask you from time to time to post your non-sensitive issues to the forums. For fact, we of the team are few and you as members of the community are a lot. The Support Ticket system is there for you to contact us with sensitive issues, and if we can render immediate aid we will, but if we see it is not something we can help with due to no reimbursement policies or is a general mechanical situation that we have no power to correct and is non sensitive in nature, then we will ask you to post it on the forums and close out the ticket. This significantly reduces the number of duplicate reports, allowing everyone with legitimate information to participate in a single forum thread instead of many individual tickets for the testing and correction of the issue. It will not always be obvious to you what we can and cannot correct immediately, but when we do ask you to post in the forums it is not out of ‘bias’, ‘laziness’, or ‘uncaring’. After all, you know your issue the best. You know what you did better than we do. You are in a far better position to detail what happened for testing and replication which allows Alectrys, who heads up our Murphy’s Law dept., to follow up with you on the situation for details that we likely would not think to collect so that the developers can correct the situation in a future update. If we spent our available time investigating non-sensitive issues that you already know better than us, so that we could report it instead of you, then we would never get through our work each day. We do this out of respect and desire to help, so please understand that we are not just pushing your issue to the side, it really is important to post such issues to the forum so that the Development team can review the issue and leave the in game support ticket system for ‘sensitive issues’ or problems that we can work to correct immediately. I hope this drills home the significance of why we ask you to post non-sensitive mechanical issues on the forums instead of going through the mod team. Thank You, Wurm Online Team

    Hey everyone. I was experimenting with how player gods worked in Wurm Unlimited, and my findings revealed that the gods are generated completely off one number: their ID. So in a challenge for myself, I decided to see what the ID's of the player gods in Wurm Online were. As a result, I have found them, and will share my findings with you all here. The player gods were generated starting with Tosiek at ID #31, then continued in numerical order from there. Here's the full list of Tosiek abilities and spells in alphabetical order: Next up is Nahjo at ID #32: Middle of the pack is Nathan at ID #33: Second to last, we have Paaweelr at ID #34: And finally the newest god, Smeagain at ID #35: And that brings us to the whole point of making this thread.     A new map! worked the whole day on it, just to find out that the dropping dirt is quite fiddly when it comes to high detailed maps, so there are still some jagged dirts here and there. But I wanted a high dirt layer this time, so I sticked with it and smoothed out the Heightmap instead, which sadly lost alot of detail inbetween.     Simple idea, possibly easy to implement: 1. Right-clicking directly on waterskin brings up 'drink' option which is applied to contents, i.e. no need to expand water skin and then click on whatever is inside. 2. Provide keybind for 'drink'. Benefits: 1. Allows waterskins to be added to toolbelt for rapid quaffing. (Of course water/other liquids can be added as well, but every time they are consumed they have to be re-added. Not so if it is the waterskin itself in the toolbelt.) 2. Creates incentive to actually use waterskins versus pottery jars etc. Waterskins should be better at what they're designed for – providing easy access to liquid refreshment. (Related idea: Any fall that would injure a character risks breaking any pottery items in inventory. The risk is directly proportional to the severity of the fall and inversely proportional to the quality of the pottery item.)

    Delish, the new up-and-coming market place for all your needs! The market will NOT be decorated in any excessive form, but will provide a large amount of stalls free to grab for whomever is interested. Target goal is around 200 stalls when all is said and done, but depending on activity of the marketplace that can easily be scaled both back and up.     I don't know the difference between blackcap and blackbird soundtracks. I could probably listen to both all day and still not hear the difference. The blackbird sound you linked sounds like a normal background ambiance and does not sound like what we mean. If the Blackcap is heard throughout the video then that is not it either. This is not a sound that plays consistent for periods in the background, or on and off now and again, such as wind on steppes, but a sudden one time short loud maybe 5-second "alert" noise based on a bird noise clip sound that goes off once then stops, very sudden and very abrupt, and is based on however long the server is set for farming tics. If your server is set to advance farming every five hours, or every 18 hours, that is precisely when it sounds. It IS possibly only in WU code and not WO, I do not know as I have not played WO at all in the two years since. Hordern does not mention if it was a WO or WU server he was playing. It's not a coincidental thing as I have used it for two years now and it is 100 percent accurate. At least in WU. When the sound goes off, my farm tiles ALWAYS immediately all switched at once to "Untended" state. If I am tending crops and hear the alert noise, I can look back and ALL of the tiles I just finished tending for the past hour, are now all back to untended again. I probably did not link the right episode as I did not want to listed to all 200 of his videos. It was not the bird whistle that happens at 3:20 in episode 11, this is a much louder and instrusive noise bot anything suble like that 3:20 bird call. I have not played on a server that had crops rot away for a few yars so I don;t know anything anymore about when/how withered crops occur. I agree there is probably lots of misinformation and myth in his videos however, since that day two years ago, I have monitored closely that "alert" noise which is very brief and very loud, and it is 100% tied not to the number of total untended farm tiles or farm tiles etc, but to the farm tic going off and all my tiles at once become untended again. If I have just finished my farming and it goes off, they all 'flip" at once. On the WU server I play, when the sound trigger goes off, several people in global chat all together yell "Time to Farm Again!" so it is a lot of people all across a server who hear the same sound and all use it as a guide of when crops go through a rotation cycle tic thingee. Maybe only WU, I have no idea on that. I never noticed iit in the years I played WO, and only started noticing it after it was brought to my attention in late 2015.

    honestly the debate over concrete is so bad, nobody walks through a cave and says 'wow blimey, i bet a lot of concrete was used!' no, not at all, I've done my whole cave dwelling without concrete, however, they can appreciate the ceilings being mined up, floor mined down, ramps and other platform chiseled away from the rest of the cave, the reinforcements the floors the extra's added to that, the houses, the lanterns... Really, nobody thinks about concrete work and tbh with how dodgy making mines can be and a headache, having concrete so stupid to make is dumb. Who was it that was fighting for Slate pavements/slabs to be made easier? We all saw a lot of +1's there, yet in Zeus people were together making a stupid amount of those, like 300+ it required a dumb founded unlogical unfun and no sense amount for what you got in return, same as concrete imo. It's a game people, let's talk about enchanted grass and how I'd rather see pens tended by farmers so i can appreciate the work they put in if you want to talk to me about the appreciation of concrete work.

    arguing realism for making concrete at all when we combine a pinenut and an apple to make a pineapple ok id like to fix a lot of mine stuff to make it look nice but im not about to go make thousands of campfires. what logical reason is there for even wanting concrete to stay difficult? is someone fixing their mine with less of a headache that awful? is it protecting some weird market which is favoring someones wallet over gameplay? do you make your cereal with a blindfold for the challenge?

    My Royal chaise where ugly I cringed after my new canopy beds where done. So when I woke up at 10pm last night I worked threw the night and redone my colors to match on all wood furniture but the royal chaise didn't want to co operate but they are close. And I threw all the high chairs in my trash with all the royal chaise design's and spent the night redoing them. I'm happy with them now. Rem if you like this stuff let CC know this is the kind of stuff you want to see. Textures are from the 20 centry/midevil times. redone wood grains to match perfect with all but them blasted royal chaise. changed pine to not look so much like maple wood Video with a closer look as I ramble about stuff

    Are you also planning on having the collision affect the mobs as well as the players? If the mobs can still run through the forest in a straight line and attack through the trees from 2 tiles away, while we have to run a zig-zag obstacle course, I think there's going to be a whole lot of really chapped people.

    You guys make no sense at all. Like you have to down vote it because you have too much to do already? How is that even a response to the suggestion. And then "make your own". No ###### and I would if they were in the game to make. So if they made a checker game in this game for others then you are forced to start using it while you grind on your deed? I swear Wurm community been getting worse and worse. That's why I don't post much anymore on forums.
