    Update for 9/5/2017: Rarity Changes Rarity chances during actions have been reworked. Previous Values: Fantastic: 0.01% chance per rarity window (1 window per 10,000 hours) Supreme: 4% chance per rarity window (1 window per 25 hours) Rare: 50% chance per rarity window (1 window per 2 hours) New Values: Fantastic: 0.1% chance per rarity window (1 window per 1,000 hours) Supreme: 8% chance per rarity window (1 window per 12.5 hours) Rare: 100% chance per rarity window (1 window per 1 hour) Reasoning behind the changes: Rares are fun. Supremes are even more fun. Old players hoard rares and supremes, and are also willing to pay for more. This change gives more opportunity to new players to earn currency from veterans. Despite running for almost 2 years at medium to high activity, there are less than 20 player-made fantastic items on the server. The chances of fantastics are, in my opinion, too low by comparison to the other two rarities. Increasing their frequency by a significant amount allows players to enjoy a very rare part of the game. This follows the philosophy of Wyvern, allowing players to experience all the game has to offer without spending massive amounts of time to do so. Note: These changes do not apply the chances on bones to become supreme or fantastic. New Creatures New Unique - A new unique creature has been added to the server. It has been added to the random spawn table of uniques. Be wary. Black Wyvern Small dragonkin creatures that are able to be tamed and mounted. These creatures may be tuned incorrectly due to inability to test them thoroughly. My goal is to get them onto the server (in small number initially), and then adjust them according to how the community reacts. New Features Title Announcements - When a player obtains a title, it will be announced in the Server tab. New Spell - Harden: Reduces damage taken from use and decay when cast on an item. Usable by all priests.

    Cilck the gear at the bottom right corner and uncheck Optional Experimental Files and see if that does the trick.

    After adding crate racks to my work area in the shop I have enjoyed more floor space for my crafting needs with less clutter, but have since noticed that the range to access these racks seems fairly short. If possible it would be nice to see double the current distance for access, the racks themselves are fairly bulky and if positioned 1 per tile, you loose accessibility on racks 1 tile away.

    I don't see the point not letting lib on freedom given there are now a million player gods which all suppprt lib spells. Do away with player god already.

    I'd have liked to see a list of the proposed areas and having a vote on them. Not sure if we have *that* many new players around in need for an impalong... nor a decent area offered yet (both ongoing project having their flaws).

    There is no way to tell if it is to scam or not. Sometimes it might seem one way to be another. I just do not agree with name changes. If you buy a character, good or bad, you will need to deal with the character in every way it comes.

    NO MORE GETTING LOST IN THE WOODS! In order to use this mod, you must install the Client Modlauncher mod, and extract the mod to the mods folder!     it sounds like you may have both 32 and 64 bit java installed. Go to Control Panel > Programs, sort by name, and see how many versions of Java are listed. If you have both 32 and 64 bit java listed there, you should uninstall the 32 bit version so that Wurm uses only the 64 bit version.

    Going back many years there was a mechanic implemented to allow enemy kingdoms to ally. This would allow them to fight together as non aggressivses so spells and deed gaurds wouldn't hurt or attack the now ally. A mod to bring this back and allow the forging of alliances between enemy kingdoms. Kings should be the only ones capable of creating alliance.

    I agree with Redd on this one, Players gods are removing the uniqueness of the real gods, Mycelium can even be spawn at Freedom just keep it on Deed and no problem, let Lib come over

    I'm not sure how, but I must've introduced a significant bug in the 1.1.1 update. When picking the item rewards from the reward groups, it always chose groups from the highest tier, because I unintendedly switched the max(min()) statement, to keep the tier value in the valid bounds. It's quite embarrassing, I'll have to admit. Updating to 1.1.2 is strongly recommended. It's now the latest release on github. When updating, do not overwrite your .properties file, to keep your custom settings. There was an exception in Jock's server logfiles that I'm not quite sure how it happens, and I've added additional code to try and clarify why it happens (optional reward items are not being created, as the chance seems to be 0 or less, when it actually shouldn't be). I will keep an eye on that.

    yep. +1. I sail a ton IRL. I've always been impressed with how far Wurm has taken sailing here, compared to any other game I've played. This improvement would make it even better. The new mechanic isn't something that would be required use, for those that think this is going too far. Devs could probably pull off the changes with very little time and effort, if they skip any visual changes. Visual sail changes would be sweet, but save that for later.

    Why all the different buildings for imping ? Usually people try to make everything fit in one big building so that priests can benefit from the presence of guests and impers, and it's also a lot easier to have all the forges in on place for the smithing for instance.. As you have them, JS and WS are in different buildings than the rest of the smiting skills.. and everyone has to walk 30-50 tiles to get to the kitchen.. when that could have been the central part of the impalong building.. Looks to me like a rushed plan to make them fit, not something that was built with an impalong in mind.. I love going to impalongs, I have to see first what's the idea with two of them.. have you had any discussion with Shirimpie about this since it will probably split the player base between the two ? Edit: Also, i don't know how, but you do need to take into consideration the lag.. And i'm not talking about the usual Xanadu lag here.. but the lag that will happen with all the people in local, and with all the creatures that GM's will eventually spawn in a controlled area (that i don't currently see in your plan).. If Enki shows up and starts spawning stuff out in the open.. we are all going to die.. several times over :)) (He enjoys watching us die.. don't give him the satisfaction) Edit2: The name is also confusing.. since i'ts a Christmas event, not a new year's eve event, maybe you should rename it to 2017 Impalong.. since it's for Christmas 2017

    Forum Reporting vs. Support Tickets I have been receiving a number of complaints from a small number of people concerning our Moderators and Game Masters telling people to report their issue on the forums instead of telling it to a moderator to report it. These people seem to want to think that the Mod team is simply being lazy and not doing their job or just not interested in helping them. The truth is that most of these individuals just like to waste our time with complaints, but I felt it was worthwhile to explain to everyone again why we ask you from time to time to post your non-sensitive issues to the forums. For fact, we of the team are few and you as members of the community are a lot. The Support Ticket system is there for you to contact us with sensitive issues, and if we can render immediate aid we will, but if we see it is not something we can help with due to no reimbursement policies or is a general mechanical situation that we have no power to correct and is non sensitive in nature, then we will ask you to post it on the forums and close out the ticket. This significantly reduces the number of duplicate reports, allowing everyone with legitimate information to participate in a single forum thread instead of many individual tickets for the testing and correction of the issue. It will not always be obvious to you what we can and cannot correct immediately, but when we do ask you to post in the forums it is not out of ‘bias’, ‘laziness’, or ‘uncaring’. After all, you know your issue the best. You know what you did better than we do. You are in a far better position to detail what happened for testing and replication which allows Alectrys, who heads up our Murphy’s Law dept., to follow up with you on the situation for details that we likely would not think to collect so that the developers can correct the situation in a future update. If we spent our available time investigating non-sensitive issues that you already know better than us, so that we could report it instead of you, then we would never get through our work each day. We do this out of respect and desire to help, so please understand that we are not just pushing your issue to the side, it really is important to post such issues to the forum so that the Development team can review the issue and leave the in game support ticket system for ‘sensitive issues’ or problems that we can work to correct immediately. I hope this drills home the significance of why we ask you to post non-sensitive mechanical issues on the forums instead of going through the mod team. Thank You, Wurm Online Team

    Shrimp's impalong last winter was a blast. Everyone who came over enjoyed the place, the atmosphere, the fun, the great community spirit. Everyone was treated with respect, everyone was looked after, everyone got a bite of food, a joke, a smile, a cheer up, a bed to sleep, a glorious death in the arena. He worked almost alone (or with his one and only villager) for about half a year, redesigned the entire deed, spent countless hours late in the night, sometimes falling asleep on his keyboard, to make that place as welcoming as possible for everyone who attended the event. That deserves gratitude, at the very least. None of those hosting impalongs over the years did it for personal gain, none got rich from them, none bought a scale set from the awesome sales they had, none could afford to open a bank account in Cayman Islands when the events were over.

    +1. The title itself didn't appeal to me much, but I believe that by adding some fence types and gates, deed designs could become a lot more interesting. As time in Wurm progresses, we've seen a lot of developmental changes - new options for walls and interior designs, new recipes for cooking and more and we have advanced in time and our world has developed. I believe that it might actually be time to look at expanding currently existing design opportunities for those with big deeds. These gates and fences wouldn't have to be easily built - they can be challenging and with a high skill requirement - but I see no arguments against this!
