Just because the GM team is dropping the highway rules because of this change, it does not mean we're dropping the Griefing rule at the same time (Play Nice or we WILL Rip Your Heart Out). If you're going around and pointlessly bump up roads, maybe you don't belong in wurm. Or rather, you really REALLY should have a good reason for doing what you're doing.

Hey there! I have been watching forums lately filled with a lot of threads with similar mood and message; what is wrong with the game or what could be improved. So I decided to make a counter-thread for such movement! This is the thread, where you can memorize and share one particular, lovely memory you remember when you played Wurm and something good or absolutely funny occured, or you can point out some feature of the game you waited for so long and you felt super-satisfied when it came out and loved to use it. Or you can give just positive feedback for the community, devs or some individual, who has been doing well or you feel has succeeded in some matter, like helping others, being a trustful friend in all turns in Wurmian life... sky's the limit! Only demand is that this thread is filled with the positive posts. Because when you feel down and need cheering up, you can read this thread and identify with the feelings others have shared. Or you can go to the thread "that thread about cats". I have plenty of good memories and a lot of to thank to many people, but I think yesterday happened something that made me feel so happy. That thing was, when I announced our alliance's advertisement post and I got not only so much support from my alliance friends as a bunch of supportive posts to the thread itself, but also personal feedback about how amazing job I had done with it. I felt like, man, this is why I play this game and truly enjoy it after 4 years of playing it; because of the best community. Okies, it's time for you to share a positive moment!

So, I had an idea the other day, and several others in chat also agreed with it. Placing an amount of water in a copper still causes it to boil off, would yield a small amount of sea salt after a significant period of time. This new salt would be used as a replacement for salt mined in recipes. The salt could also come out at equal QL to the still, in order to encourage people to improve them. What are your thoughts?

Who is our forum host? I need to contact them and report their abysmal failure to provide usable levels of service to us. Certainly nobody at Code Club is doing anything about it, so it is up to the players to make changes. If we can't get these working properly, I think we should start a user group forum separate from Wurmonline official forums.

I've thought about this more and I feel like it would create a shortcut for people looking to loot/destroy anything not nailed down. It would be so easy to enable this and see that a fence is 1 tile beyond a deed border and bash the fence to let out the animals or reach some other goodies. So, I think I should specify that this option should only be able to apply to the boundaries of the village of which you are a member.

The issue appears to be an AJAX call when sending private messages and in certain cases when posting a reply to a topic. I've been trying to give Daryl a hand by doing some more research and trying a few things. I did do a few things that seemed to improve the overall performance, but did not resolve this specific issue. We are still actively working to find a resolution, but unfortunately none of the logging and debugging I've done has helped shed a light on the issue. We will keep you posted.

In my opinion, the problem doesn't lie with PvP in this case. It lies in the fact that the stolen items were taken to Freedom, where there is absolutely no chance of the kingdom getting them back. If the thief had stayed on Chaos with everything, it would have been a nice challenge for the kingdom to track the guy down and kill him to get their stuff back. *That's* what PvP is all about. NOT robbing your own kingdom blind then bolting to Freedom--where the mechanics aren't there to have any fair shot at getting anything back--to hide out with the loot. PvP should stay on PvP. That's my opinion.

I don't understand how Chaos is part of Freedom servers, but can't represent our Chaos Kingdoms while on normal freedom servers. Wagons, flags, etc carry over from Chaos and would like to be able to wear my Chaos tabard on freedom. Tired of wearing the same tabard when not on Chaos as everyone else. This should be part of the PvP change. Would get more people interested on going Chaos and maybe starting a PMK. Normal Freedomers want custom Tabards and Kingdoms? Then give them a chance to go to Chaos and create a PMK and earn the right to represent. Just don't hand it to them though. Only thing we have when doing Rifts and other events while not on Chaos to represent is dropping tents. Then have a bunch of normal green freedom tabards around it and don't have a clue who is in what. Seems lame. This would boost recruitment into Chaos as others will see these pimped out Kingdoms all over and want to join up. Why is Chaos part of Freedom then. It seems like the Dev's (I guess mainly Rolf) have shunned it from the rest of the world and making Epic seem better. They get multiple servers and cool stuff. We get...............the finger. Make Chaos worth more than just one server separated from the rest.

Done! The GM Deed Maker mod by Cuddles now does this! ----------------------------------------------------- I would love a server side mod that allows players to have multiple deeds at the same time. It would ideally be GM configured: - how many deeds each player can have - max size of each deed and/or max size of all deeds combined - minimum number of tiles between the deeds one player has (to prevent them from just having multiple deeds side by side) When playing alone, or with few players, it would be so great to have this so I don't have to have an alt for every single deed. Would also be useful for GM deeding the spawn towns.

So I've been exploring... I've been wandering the forums, I've seen a few signatures of people honoring their fallen friends and then I thought of this suggestion and I think it should be a part of Wurm and it's history. We have all heard and seen some hidden easter eggs in other video games where they honor their fallen gamers and I know Wurm has had it's few fallen great ones too. My suggestion is basically a grave site, managed by CA/GM etc where one can put in a request for those in our community that have fallen in real life... and that they feel they should be remembered. With a note available for other players to read a little about what made that person so great. Edit: After some thought, I realized how hard it could be to know exactly if somebody has passed away without being very close to them, so I'd like to propose another option, Just like I stated above, a designated area protected and managed by a CA/GM, to highlight those we believe had a big impact in our Wurm community that have now retired the game with or without notice, with the requirements set for those that have not logged in, in a year or more.

I'm obviously neither Alectrys nor Tich, but you cannot collapse and it does not naturally collapse on cave structures (this includes bridges).

I forgot to post an update. I think I isolated the issue and am working with Retrograde on scheduling the downtime needed to address it as well as make a few other performance tweaks. I do not want to make the changes needed without taking them down and doing a full backup. The software manufacturer did chime in, and we are in contact with them. We're covered on everything else, so no worries on that.

It was nearly 8 years ago back on Golden Valley. After weeks of wandering about lonely and non-prem I met some people with similar mindsets and we decided to roam the tiny island of GV together. We set up camp on the coast and shared roles. Someone was fishing, someone was building homes for all of us, someone was creating a small plot of farmland and someone else was hunting. I was sent on my first quest ever to deliver a high ql longsword (40ql longsword actually) to someone on the other side of the map and for those who don't know 40ql used to be awesome. I put my leather armour (with no chestpiece) on and set out. The journey took a few days, but I managed to deliver the sword in return for which I've been given two lower quality longswords to deliver back. I was wondering how someone could spend so much time making those. I mean, that was so much iron considering fails turned every blade into scrap iron. A few days later I've reached the Nelde Aelini Village (which was off-deed) only to see it ravaged and empty. I tried to get a hold of these people ever since but none has returned. Ever since, until the first time I ever premmed (about 2,5 years ago) I roamed around the world (mostly independence) with an incomplete leather armor which was later turned into an incomplete studded leather armor and low quality dual wielded longswords. When an opportunity arised I created a new toon on Xanadu, where after wandering for a couple weeks I put down my first hillside deed. Soon after that I premmed and about a year later I sold the account. Now here I am occassionally returning to my old campsites and deeds with nothing but two swords and some armor, driven by nostalgia and thoughts of the good times. EDIT: Wurm basically grew up with me as I first started playing as a 15 year old. Now after all these years I'm completely sure there is no better MMO in the galaxy and I will never leave for more than a short break.

Aannnnd the next part is up on YouTube. The goal being to recreate the UO classic player houses in Wurm. Some turned out super well, others not so much. But it was certainly fun to try!

I believe this isn't needed on official level. Let those who want to build a memorial to their departed friend do it themselves and where they prefer. And of course if it's something remarkable, it could be made a heritage site.

It's an uncomfortable subject, indeed, It might open wounds that we have tried so hard to close. I understand this can become an issue, a vigorous amount of research or closely related people should be the ones submitting this information.

some of the time, people disappear and the grim fact is, warning was given by player before they vanished. their closest friends in the game have to assume. So, although this is best left unspoken, it does mean some of the time, when we nominate someone, we'll be wrong. I have one name I and a more long term player are fairly certain is no longer with us, I'm told honours have already been served. with him in mind. the same person that introduced me to this game. Absolutely +1 on this. I'm a freedom carebear and very much agree it would give more insight to pve only players to the groups on Chaos, I can see it would bring the kingdoms closer to the folks, seeing they are the guys we play and chat together on a daily basis on the freedom servers. I also agree PMK tabard designs must only be visible only if worn by actual members of the actual kingdom.

+1, but only if you're an active member of THAT kingdom. I don't want to have people buying JK tabards just because their favorite color is blue, etc.

I live in the uk, have around 75 mbit fibre optic and frequently (several times a day, daily, every week) get server lag ( not to be confused with latency where an action takes longer to respond than normal,) where I might be stuck in a door for 10 seconds or have my wagon driving sideways down a road where I have to stop and wait for it to turn so I can see where I'm going, or ofc the regular "refreshing" right click menu. let's be totally clear here everyone with any type of connection playing for 24 hours would at some point in their timezone experience this at least once. If you say this does not happen to you then you are either not noticing as you might spend long between actions or simply lucky to play in a timezone where these problems affect you very rarely. It's been confirmed by the devs that this is an issue so don't be so naive to say everything is fine because it never happens to you (it's like saying wars don't exist because you live in the arctic where there have never been any) The devs are however working towards fixing this so "thank you"

Some latency? Every post I make since the switch requires a refresh for me to see if its posted. Every one. I must add this is the only forum host I have ever had this problem on.

Then take Chaos away from freedom isles. It's a simple fix.

They should let us represent our Chaos PMK on all freedom servers and not just on Chaos. I'm DD all day every day no matter the server, but can't represent that way. Then you can have some protect your PMK and have other represent on other freedom servers. I think if representation is all servers it would bring more to Chaos since freedomers would really want a PMK then.

started my deli deed named ShamFlam Tradepost on the J,K 1,2 crossjunktion on the map. The little bay area west of the canal to bearlake. I have 6 tar and 6 clay tiles , peat gonne be added soon all next to eachother where the amphora icon is on the map. Also a 97 enchanted mailbox just North of the highway there. I will be deeding towards the north more to make 2 lighthouse islands, also started dredging away the curent pier so expect some geographical chenges. I moved here from xanado and so far I like it way more to have everything and everyone closeby. My question is since I'm thinking of playing this deed as my main deed is Are there any active aliances on the northside of Deli?
