    This was something I suggested a super long time ago, but now with rare effects it is even more possible. Flaming Aura - Provides a fire glow, dripping flames Frostbrand - Frost glow, snowflakes Life Transfer - maybe a pure red glow or a white glow? Venom - Green glow, green particles Rotting Touch - blackish purple, rotting It is an aesthetically pleasing addition that would not doubt add to the game. Additionally allow it to be turned off through the settings maybe under bloom effects. (For pvpers worried about lag)

    Although I too would like to see larger openings and although I understand (and share) the frustration that we players feel sometimes when we can't get everything we want, as a fellow game developer I simply have to step in. Most developers (and by this I mean all members of the development team - be it art, design, code etc) work their butts off to bring new and juicy things to players of their game. Long hours, late nights, not seeing as much of their families as they'd like to. Crappy pay. Iteration, bugs, fixing, negotiating with other devs, making compromises so that the "thing" will not only work and will not only look good, but will do so without crashing the game or causing lag to the players. Polishing, scrapping stuff, getting frustrated because you'd REALLY like to make something cool but technical reasons stop it. Starting over again, and finally... after all the sweat and tears - completing something and being damn proud of it. Then the "thing" is released to the players. And you already know it's coming - the complaining, the backlash, the "wouldn't it be better this way" comments. But it's all worth it when you see also genuine excitement and joy in the community. But developers are only human and can't help but feel disappointed when not every single person is as thrilled as they were hoping they'd be. However, as devs, we get used to it. We know the drill. We grow thick skins. But it's never pleasant if we've done our best and it still wasn't enough. I know I've definitely been guilty of complaining here and there. And I'm definitely guilty of suggesting improvements haha. But what I'd really like to say is: devs try their hardest to make us happy. And if they can't, there's usually a damn good reason. But lazy they are not. Wurm has only one artist? Two? Three? Not sure but it ain't many. Same goes for design and code, only a handful of people from what I know. Compare that to other MMOs where there can easily be 50 or more artists, as many if not more programmers and dozens of game designers. Sometimes I really don't understand how the wurm team does it! They run a bloody MMO for crying out loud! I'm not saying we shouldn't speak our minds, or give criticism, or complain. Everything we say is valuable for the dev team to hear, I'm quite sure. But let's try to do it kindly and politely. And remember to shower them with love and excitement when they've made something for us that we really appreciate!

    All Wurm needs is a grand Capitol accessible with portal, maybe on its own island - where no one is allowed to do anything else than put up merchant and trade. Edit: Well, i forgot to add that this just was a thought. To ease on the fps or number of merchants; allow only 1 merchant per premium character, and expand inventory of merchants on this place.

    I agree with this. The problem really stems from the fact that the "name and shame" threads are always posted in Town Square. This is the "face of the game" forum wise, so to speak, so it's understandable that the team tries to keep it tidy. There's a very simple fix, really. It's been suggested before, plenty of times. There needs to be a Freedom subforum that is lightly moderated (like how the 'Theater' [chaos/epic] subforum is, and how the 'Tar Pit' subforum used to be). Bury all the name and shame threads there. meanwhile keeping the face of the game pretty. Make it forum members view only, so that guests won't even know it's there.

    I appreciate the answer.. You have to understand tho, the topic runs out, when the victim get their stuff back and/or justice. Right now in most cases, where the players need help while having suffered real monetary losses through other players actions, the staff just ignores it and gives them a finger. Forum is the ONLY option for to keep pressure on someone and closing the topics/ignoring the problems is simply taking sides of the offenders by helping to bury everything. One example is the topic a while ago, where a dragon was blatantly stolen by JK.. the topic eventually lead to the moment, where JK leadership was talking about compensation.. then topic was closed and that was it.. last I heard no compensation etc was given for that.

    Sure beats the roving lawyer squads who used to defend every act of griefing and general douchebaggery Wurm used to have. Game looks better with a community that's intolerant of needless shenanigans, as opposed to a community who'll squeal with delight and cheap defenses of thieves every time someone's game experience is unnecessarily ruined.

    If someone was randomly trying to give me something for free, I would be very suspicious at least. And when there is a large company behind that... When it comes to buying computers in shops... Don't do it, even in tech shops like Media Markt. I think the best solution is to go to tech forum and post your budget + what you want to use computer for.

    I'm guessing the other thread was closed because there was nothing new being added, just back-and-forth, "yes he did", "no he didn't"... so not at all like the discussion here, then. I note neither party were posting any evidence, despite some people claiming to have logs etc. Which means the situation comes down to 'what I thought was said'. For what it's worth, I wouldn't have sold an account that someone else gave me, unless they had explicitly said I could sell it. I also wouldn't expect any money back for premium I paid for (unless they took the account back with premium on it) or time I'd put into it - I chose to pay that money and put the time in for my own use, knowing that the char came from someone else.

    You can still get windows 10 for free by the way. Anyone can. Search google for "windows 10 for hearing or visually impaired" It's the ful version of windows 10 with added extras to aid impaired people.. none of which are on by default upon install lol.. You pretty much just agree to typical terms or conditions and click download, after windows 10 corrupted itself a year ago this was how I got it again without paying... retarded you have to pay for something that you got for free that corrupted itself. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/windows10upgrade Don't feed the company trolls...     One could simply wall in the required area and deed it beyond the maximum size (if required). Then set permissions accordingly so Spectators can pass through doors and not much else.

    Urgh.... Thats a 3-4 hour ride this time.... I'll try to make it, gods help me but I'll try. We're low on gems this time around (burned through 80% of the backstock last rift) so any donations of gems and saccables would be greatly appreciated (as always)

    There are also many helpful players who answer questions without being staff who i wouldnt like to discourage, no one person knows everything and helping is a group effort. I'm not saying its a good or bad idea was merely responding to the fact that there certainly are many differences even if most of the unique epic features were leeched out.

    Nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of training for your CA staff, I mean they are CA's, they should know the game as well if they are going to be in that position. I don't think it would hurt to put together a training manual for your staff, CA staff even if its just a volunteer position should have people that can answer questions when asked. I don't expect everyone to know everything, and I am sure the internal channels and contacts will get a CA through most of the tough questions, but it wouldn't hurt to have a good guide for them to fall back on as well in addition to the wiki. Also keep in mind when a personal uses the CA help channel they will be identified by the server they are on.

    This man is a beast. From 30 to 89 with 12k pans. We didn't even use his HFC method because I wanted more of the other gains. I can't recommend him enough. Cheapest in the market and faster than anyone I have ever seen. Excellent customer service. You can't go wrong with this guy.

    This thread is not for discussions, guys, if you keep discussing a single incident here, the mods will lock this thread because it will inevitably will turn into a back and forth clash of opinions. If you guys want to discuss the Maurizio incident, please open a new thread and discuss there. We rather not have this thread locked, like the original Maurizio one. The fact that the original thread was locked should be good enough indication of the fact that the staff does not want that matter discussed anymore.

    I like the oak but you can not grow anything next to them so opt for the maple for its fullness. I do however think the trunks of the new trees are the best but they lack the fullness on the leaves. So... I guess I have to go with maple but I do think they need an update.

    Catapult shot arch animations do not show the item flying through the air some times cant figure out the exact cause some times it does some times it does not. Seems like its longer shots that vanish as fails which only go a few tiles show up 100% of the time compared to the longer shots which seems to be 50/50 to show the arch animation( as far as I can tell). ---------- It sounds as though the rock shards hit 2 walls, an item, and nothing else. [TEST] Projectile rock shards landed, damage multiplier: 1.5261104, damage: 15.261105 total things hit: 2. Total distance: 26.01008m or 6.50252 tiles. Only could find damage on 1 wall after many many shots of it saying that it hit more than 1 from multiple angles, this is why I asked for the test debug to tell us each wall hit with more detail(basically the wall ql and current damage plus the wall type and not just wall) because I can't tell which wall its thinking its hitting and dealing no damage(test only debug of course) and cant give you more info to help but the old bug where it thinks it hits multiple walls and only damages a single one still exists and is very common another guy testing around me had the same issues. ---------- Arches waaaay to hard to hit, need to not go through the middle of them so easy or spamming arches inside the middle of long houses are going to become meta cant ram or hit them with catapults/trebs without getting super lucky on the angle I only managed to hit ground floor arches after hours of changing up angles and I couldn't hit a second floor arch after trying for what seemed like hours. (same building from above post on the 30 slops I couldn't hit with the ram) --------- On arches note, arches in caves will make buildings impossible to remove without tons of bashing I do like that arches make sense to not be hit by rams and catapults but balance wise they need to act as normal walls or they will become the meta to spam inside buildings to make them almost impossible to remove without stupid amount of bashing unless we can find a good middle ground for them which im defiantly for if it makes it possible to hit them but currently its going to become way to over powered if left like it is now. Mines will have no way to remove except bashing since you cant catapult in mines and rams cannot hit arches. -------- You removed the message that told us which building name was hit, and that's going to make things much more frustrating and I do not see a good reason it was removed other than you didn't realize how important it was because of how easy it is to obscure buildings and make it almost impossible to see without climbing to it to see if your hitting see a specific building that is dozens of tiles long and may have back walls inside that you cant examine because of distance.

    thanks to @Brash_EndeavorsI was able to replace the texture to the design I was after, I think it's coming up a treat, I want my deeds to express my creativity and I just felt the game was too "grey" so I changed the wall textures, along with oriels, what I would like to see in the future is more material types instead of just stone, wood marble.

Not a single penny lost. and I wonder if this would look good in the game as it does in my head. GM build it. Looks great! Off to WO to build it.     NO. I do want a way to load mods that's supper easy to use and prevents mod conflicts. Although, I don't want CC starting to judge what should or shouldn't be modded. A major selling point of WU is they stated they didn't care how we modded WU. It should stay that way. I'm confused about something. You don't need to compile server.jar for every mod. You use the server.jar as a library and either modify a copied extent class or make a new class. You then compile the newly created classes. Finally, drop the compiled classes into the client or server.jar file so your modifications override or extend the original code. Although, I guess there would be a problem if two mods altered the same CC original class. They might actually be changing different parts of the class but my way would make it hard for them to co-exist.
