    Changes and Additions: Amphora racks and Pottery Planter racks have been added. Applesauce (and other white sauce flagged recipes) are now edible. Picking planted herbs and spices inside a building is now tied to pickup permissions for the structure. Plant/secure options are now available on a number of items as mentioned in the last patch. Removed the chance to create rare liquids via cooking as moving them around causes issues. Removed 100% damage bonus to True Strike hits. You can now load/unload items which are not empty as well as drag them from one vehicle to another as long as they fit. Epic Changes: legendary titles are now available on Epic for those hitting 100 skill. Epic sermons will now reset prayer counter. The one hour cooldown timer has been removed from epic portal usage. Vesseling will now give skill on Epic. Bug fixes: Bugfix: Fix for +10% gathering rune on a pickaxe. Bugfix: Fix for still condenser overfill. Bugfix: Fixed a bug which allowed you to drag crates into inventory. Bugfix: Fixed an issue where a pottery planter would lose its planted state if planted on the ground empty and a herb or spice was then planted in it. If you planted the pottery planter prior to planting a herb or spice inside it, please examine to ensure that it is indeed secured, as they may have become unplanted. Bugfix: Fixed various recipe examine text and information issues. Bugfix: Looting tomes from uniques now follow deed permission settings. Bugfix: Added a check so racks could only hold what they were designed to hold. Bugfix: Affinity message spamming for low quality food consumption has been removed again as it snuck back in. Bugfix: Fix for new picked crops not taking damage on the ground. Bugfix: Fix for not being able to become a champion of a god when your kingdom is favored. Bugfix: Fixed an issue with sealing which caused unintended results. Bugfix: Fixed lore hints for some recipes which were either wrong or too vague. Bugfix: Fog spiders should no longer spawn on deeds. Bugfix: Honey and wax should no longer take decay in wild hives. Honey will only decay if on the ground. Bugfix: Various spelling and text fixes. Bugfix: You can no longer secure barrels while inside racks as it caused them to fall to the ground. Bugfix: You can properly seal (using create - drink menu) a wine barrel while it's inside a wine rack. Bugfix: Added some items to the decoration list and added a flag for 'decorations' which should decay on deed. Tree stumps and corpses will now decay on deeds with over 30 days upkeep. Range poles, the Rod of Eruption, and Wand of the Seas will now be counted as decoation items. Bugfix: Wax sealing kits now damage when unsealed instead of losing quality. Bugfix: Unfinished wine barrels drop to the ground upon creation and must be continued while on the ground. Bugfix: Removed the repeating rarity line in description for forges and ovens. Bugfix: Missions should now respawn on a timely basis. Client Changes Bugfix: Fixed leading space when renaming pottery planters and trellises. Bugfix: Fixed the flame size on the brass oil lamp. Bugfix: Harvest keybind correctly works for tellises now. Pick keybind added for picking potted herbs and spices Tooltip for planted spices and herbs is now visible from a distance. The distance is dependent upon skill. This is also the same now for harvestable trellises.

    I really do think that PMKs should be able to design what their Guard Tower should look like. Right now i think we have 2 MR base, 3 BL base, and maybe 2 JK based kingdoms. I could be wrong on the numbers. But now depending on what kind of kingdom base PMK you want, that is the tower design you get. The guards are wearing the tabard of the kingdom base you choose, not the design you make. I think it will make your PMK more unique if you can run around the map and be able to tell what kingdom area you are running into based on what the tower looks like. Either with the design and look of the tower or just have the banner, or tall banner design hanging from the side and the guards wearing your kingdom design. Just a thought

    Some Updates I want to thank everyone that offered their assistance, and wish to say I apologize that I was unable to have the time to coordinate any efforts to help build and whatnot. As for donations of materials like saccables, those are always accepted, so feel free to bring them with you! Some special thanks to folks for their efforts in time and dedication in the past weeks to get things done! There is a small hiccup with the scavenger event unfortunately, as I was unable to procure a knarr as a prize, so if there is anyone with a spare one out there that is able to get it to the Impalong site? That would make this event incredibly cooler Lastly, I have exactly 49 more rooms left that I am able give to people so if you need a room please post in this thread or contact me directly. A reminder that these rooms are entirely secure in that only you or others you want on the access list will be able to enter, meaning you can store your valuables as needed in safety. Please list the exact spelling of any and all accounts you want to have access to the room as well. PS: There will be a sign on each floor next to the stairs listing the names of the people who have a room reserved on that floor, this makes it easier to tell at a glance which floor you are on, rather than having to hover your mouse over each and every door.

    I'd like some thing that i can USE ..... Err i don't know ....how a bout a Brass Sextant. Use it when sailing and it gives a ruff Grid Ref based on the in game map your on. "You start using the sextant and line it up with known landmarks and mountains working out your location to be D24"

    Been suggested many times. We need saddlebags so we can lead our horse and throw stuff in it while we are meandering through the forest picking nuts and berries. Also for combat so we can throw meat from the hunt in them. Please thanks

    A backpack can hold 37 frying pans but only 6 or 7 pottery bowls or pie dishes. They should be roughly the same volume and even less weight. Please let us put more in a backpack.

    I am in support of option B, someone posted the math on affinites for just one food, there is about 100x more possibilities from foods than there are affinites The options are almost endless as it is. Rare + ovens still will be valuable for the longer timers

    After quite a lot of thinking about it I finally decided to support option a). In the "unlucky" case someone imps an oven to rare a fast resolution is to make another normal one next to it. I will live with the fact that my current affinity records are valid on a rare oven - I may still do research using normal ones and the even wider range of options seems tempting to get long timers on desired skills.

    Crate storage rack, even if only empty ones. Fishing pole rack Wall mounts so we can put things on them more uses for lead,copper,zinc,tin lumps or a free month of upkeep, ;-)

    Nothing is really complicated at all, not sure where you get that from. And chores in Wurm are really what you make them... That all said I'd be happy to get just any gift really for Christmas, really doesn't matter if it has a specific function. It is like SB during server restarts, it's not required in the slightest, but is incredibly thoughtful to get

    This isn't so black and white. While the games are quite different, they are also very similar in many aspects. Good QoL improvements introduced in WU through mods should be investigated to see if they have any merit in WO in either their current form or in a modified form. Ignoring which mods work in WU, or what works in other games because those games aren't WO is shortsighted. One should study what works well in other games, determine which of those things would work for WO and then, depending on priorities and available time, add the most promising things to WO in order to improve upon WO. Don't ignore the competition just because they have different business models, you need to both innovate and learn from the competition. Else you will be left behind in the dust. In the case of surface mining I think they did it right. Even with the small projects I did in the past it used to be incredibly boring to surface mine (while I love digging). I was generally spamming one button to mine while watching a movie because surface mining was one of the most mind numbing activities in the game since ~9 out of 10 times absolutely nothing happened, the game gave no feedback towards your activities. Now you get feedback a lot more often at high skill and you can do a lot more creative things in the same amount of time as before, without it feeling like there is no challenge/achievement. It still takes effort and I must say after trying it that the difficulty feels quite right between my different toons with different mining skill. I feel that the difficulty of this activity is in a much better spot now, while the difficulty before felt detrimental to player retention.

    It's not very balanced, and any sort of balancing we'd want to look at at this stage is "too late" and will just cause more problems than it's worth (see: Refresh a few months ago). Without doing a full overhaul of it, there are still changes that need to be made (like DR scaling in PoI) and tweaked - but every change that could be made is going to be met with complaints and demands for free path changes etc etc. Better to have another full look at the entire feature, see what could be done better and do it all at once rather than spreading out more tweaks and changes that demand path changes over months/years. It also ties into the UI overhaul where I'm aiming to flesh out a bunch of seemingly half-completed features, or things that most players (or new players) don't realise exists or never stumble across them to use/take advantage of them. E.g. with meditation there is nothing really in the client showing whats possible - there is the skill you see, and maybe you'll go looking in the wiki to see what meditating is - otherwise you'll maybe stumble across it via chat or randomly making a meditation rug. Having a proper place for it in the client, clearly showing the path and possible abilities/bonuses, and what out of them you can work towards adds a sort of tangible goal for some players, something that can be worked towards with visible progress instead of the odd event message every few weeks when you level up on your path or having an extra option in some menu hidden away somewhere. Edit: It's also not completely throwing out the current system to replace it. The idea currently is to add more possible abilities for each path to allow for more choice for everyone - with mechanics involved that relate to that.

    I think with current number of PMK's and player numbers on chaos devs could increase champion slots per god to 4 or 5. But leave same 3 champions per kingdom limit.

    Feel like you guys demand to much PmK stuff, every other day I see suggestions about PmK, it's kind of hilarious at this point. I realize your passionate about your kingdom and want it to stand out, and I have no problem with this but I feel bad for Saroman. We have one art guy who has to do all of this! If you guys make the art assets, sure +1 fine, but I rather the art guy be working on stuff for everyone in Wurm like the new racks and stuff, not just PvPers so they can just profit off his work and sell stuff to Freedom. Please don't deny this. Out of respect, I am not trolling, and I'm neither for or against this. Thanks.

    My opinion is affinities should stay as is. So you have additional chance that your favorite meal will give a super affinity.

    But you don't have to completely start your collection of affinities over again when it turns rare+, you can simply make a new non-rare cooker and you're back to where you were before it turned rare+. Only if you want the bonus from rare+ do you have to start over again, so doing that and/or buying a rare+ cooker is simply a proper choice, do you want to put in the extra effort for the extra reward, or would you prefer not to and keep using a non rare cooker?

    Eh I had a big farm deed created north of me. I did a lot of work on cleaning up the previous deeds there but happy to see players using the land. The great thing about WO is you have to learn to live with people and maybe make treaties or even friends.

    Since yesterday Wurm turns suddenly light, or suddenly dark. There is no gentle going into sunset then night or slightly moving to sunrise then day. It is day, then all of a sudden it is night. It is night, all of a sudden it is like a light gets turned on and it is day. This is annoying and not immersive. Please look into it and fix. Thanks! Edit: On Release.

    My choice is: "b ) Remove the rarity affecting affinity type (but still affecting length) and invalidate any notes involving rare+utensils, ingredients or cookers. " Same affinities from all ovens, just longer affinity from rare one. There are already so many possibilities to every meal - different meats/veggies/herbs/spices.. Let at least this be certain, that when I use oven, it is still an oven, whether it glows or not.

    I would go with option a. Rarity affecting affinities is great as it gives people even more options. All they need to do is to make sure that they keep their normal oven/tool so that they can still get the affinities which they already found. The rare oven/tool simply allows them to easily access even more affinities with the recipes they know. I do agree it is more work to find out your affinities again after upgrading one or more of your tools to a higher rarity, but in return you are rewarded with a boosted affinity timer length, so this is effort vs reward. You can also skip a large portion of the effort by investing in rare stuff at the beginning. So I'd keep it as is, people who don't want to put in the extra effort for longer affinity timers can simply continue to use normal tools/containers, while people who do want to put in the effort have the choice to do so. All things considered nobody is forcing you to start using rare tools for cooking, it's a choice. Option b can also invalidate a lot of notes as mentioned, people already complained heavily about this after it happened with a recent update, so lets not invalidate them again.

    So I have spoken with the dev team about this, and initially it was intended mechanics, with the rarity affecting the type, and also boosting affinity timer length. That said, there has been some good points about wanting rare+ ovens and pans and such, or imping your own rare, obviously longer timers are a bonus there and it seems odd to make getting a supreme oven a downside. This does raise an issue though. If we change it, it means any testing for affinities done with rare+ containers and cookers would be invalid as mentioned above, so we're left with the possibility of it going either way, and would like your feedback. I've moved this to the town square to get more feedback on it, and let players share what they would prefer: a) Keep it as it is, with rarity affecting affinity type, and existing notes remain correct - this means to obtain the same affinity from the same meal the rarity on the cookers and containers will need to be the same. b ) Remove the rarity affecting affinity type (but still affecting length) and invalidate any notes involving rare+utensils, ingredients or cookers.

The tiles on the deed with new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below. When, what to my wondering eyes should spawn, But a champion troll, and eight angry unicorns. With a little command, so sudden and so many, I knew in a moment it must be St Enki. More rapid than hellhounds my pursuers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and urged them by name! "Now, jason! now, saw! now, screamers and chucky! On, bride of chucky! On, boris karloff! on, christopher lee and barney! To the ends of the deed! to the ends of the server! Now kill away! kill away! kill them all!" As new players that before the wild nogump fly, When they met with fencings, mount to the sky. So up to the bridge-top the unicorns they flew, With the troll in full Tow, and St Enki too. And then, in a tick, I heard on the roof The jarring and scraping of each angry hoof. As I drew out my axe, and was turning around, Down the fireplace St Enki came with a bound. He was dressed all in black, from his robe to his teeth, And his clothes were all tattered with death and decay. A bundle of broken Tools he had flung on his back, And he looked like a merchant, just opening his shop. His eyes-how dark! his mace how so bloody! His hood was like a void, his robe like a ghost! His droll laugh began as he drew out his bow, And then cackled as he began to shoot at the snow. The sight of teeth he had eaten zombie brains, And across his body encircled many were chains. He had a hidden face and a great yell, That made trees rattle and sway and then they fell! He was dark and sinister, a right evil old self, And I quivered when I saw him, in spite of myself! A look into his eyes and a twisting of his head, Soon gave me to know I had much to dread. He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And emptying all the forges, then turned with a jerk. And laying his finger inside of his nose, And giving a nod, up to the roof he rose! He sprang to the sky, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all ran with a great bustle. I had a lot of trouble coming up with rhymes, but I tried my best.

    I have never understood why Wurm Unlimited can't have an option similar to 7 days to Die, or Rising World, for singleplayer and perhaps small (0-8) "family and friends" private servers. Even if you leave the large public servers on the complicated mess of a system they are on now. The current system is am absolute nightmare, and it is probably a major cause for a lot of people who give up and tell Steam they want a refund because they simply cannot get it running and they don't want the option of being forced to play on public servers.. I hope some people on the dev team would sit down and look at how SIMPLE other games make playing with friends, and make a decision that Wurm Unlimited just does not have to be such a mess for people who just want to play with 0-8 friends in a private environment. in fact, i would love it if players had options for singleplayter/small private play (0-8 players) where they could just input a seed and generate a small (256x256 or 512x512) randomly generated map, play on it a few days, input a new map seed and start a fresh game. i don't know a thing about programming and networking , all i know is -- virtually every other game of this type out there somehow manages to do it just fine. Without tweaking port settings on your router and managing exceptions on your firewall et al. That was supposed to be much of the attraction for Steam, simplifying how things worked. You just give your friends the server name and password, or tell the launcher to create you a new singleplayer world and type in a seed name and click one button, AND YOU PLAY. That simple. Sorry Wurmhole that may not be the same issue as yours, or it might be, I have no idea. I just don;t understand why they say it can't be done when one man indie game devs seem to manage it.

    Some Updates All the offers for assistance in completing various parts of the deed, thank you all very much. I would take more folks up on their offers but it is also a matter of my being around to coordinate in any capacity the working on them and materials and permissions ect. That said, there are a few things such as Nahjo favor that more of could certainly be used. My goal there is 100,000 favor stocked up, as at this moment the 10,000 wheat is only worth about 30,000 favor. The only real thing left to do is simply to move the appropriate furniture into each room and position in accordingly. I decided to just run with the first Inn building as it's the only completed Inn piece and I want it to shine! Also, thanks to the hard work of Theonis the first colossus was completed and the second one is nearly done! As for a sufficient cooking station, I have an area set aside at the front next to the main Impalong structure that should be doable to use as a cooking station. I don't have the time nor the resources at this point to dedicate towards its construction or anything like that so if anyone is wanting to contribute in that capacity and to coordinate its construction and setup I am more than happy to work with them on the necessary permissions for such a project. To be clear, the Inn rooms are individual, as in I can set each door up with a specific player or multiple players as having the only access to that room, thus making it a safe location to store your valuable if needed as well. Each room comes outfit with a bed, wardrobe, coffer, and bedstand. Nicrolis has had to cancel his sporadic fishing contests due to real life taking it's nasty hold upon him. Lastly, spread the word! I want this to be like a big blowout sale; for everyone who possibly can to attend and partake in the fun. If you don't have skills to contribute then just come to get things improved/enchanted and partake in the games/giveaways. If you don't have anything you want to get improved/enchanted then hell, just come to enjoy the atmosphere! I hear of some Wurmians working out taxi services to allow others to attend this Impalong, so post here if you are offering that. PS: I just got to painting the lamps on deed to Christmas green/red colors and it looks amazing if I do say so myself! PSS: If I missed your name in the donator's list PLEASE let me know so I can add you.

    Server updated boats fixed- no longer go backwards sprouts mod added, to help with trees - 15 sprouts ash mod added - forges now produce ash transmutation mod added for easy transmutation of tiles, removing and adding clay/tar/peat considering upkeep mod that increases upkeep based on time logged off, should still be possible to add years of upkeep but it will require log on periodically, about 30 days, once a month to keep normal rates, the longer you are MIA the higher the upkeep will raise resulting in a disband. please leave feedback if you like or dislike this idea!
