    I would like to suggest the frying of foods by placing future recipe items in a sauce pan with olive oil. Specifically Chicken Tenders, french fries are also acceptable and anything else people suggest. Tenders Displayed here, with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

    Those items you mention are end goal items, if you want quick and easy, wooden walls, wooden floors, build a rowboat. Ships used to be extremely expensive and intensive projects and this reflects that, other items are considerably more unique, and you shouldn't be trying to make them starting out. Don't live on an island? 90% of all servers consist of mainland, and bridges are a huge connected part. So they complain when skillgain drops at 30? it takes a couple of hours at most to hit 30 skill in something, hitting it in half the time isnt going to make new players stick around longer. This is a subscription based game, that isnt changing. While this game could use more players, insanely boosted free players do not bring anything to the table. New guy walks into a bar, looks around, starts talking crap about the place, how do you think the locals are going to react? Take your time to explore the game, don't sit there wishing it was changed to suit you, everyone has ideas about what they'd like to see in the game or how they'd like to see it grow, but coming in with a severely negative attitude doesnt help anyone. Take some more time to play the game, and if you don't think its worth 12 bucks a month, that's fine, you don't have to pay, bu don't expect the game to cater towards all of your whims, that's all.

    Instead wasting countless hours in game to get a rare, better make and sell some bricks/mortar and buy any rares you want. Or hardcore option (for some people), spend 1-2 hours more in job and for extra money buy any rare you want. Summing up - it is waste of time. In before - "I have no job and I need this rare." No, you don't need it.

    Every Wurmian has their own obsession. Not sure how many mouse clicks it would take to get a skill to 100 either (one of my friends is at 99.99 farming and still going months later...), but as long as people enjoy their time, it is all good The cherry blossoms inspired the dye colours.

    Ohh wow rares are rare and hard to get? That system sounds fubar /s Stop thinking rares are necessary and just be happy you have a chance at it. Is anyone a winner if everyone gets a medal?

    I think it's more than half a year ago that i made something rare. Like someone else said in the chat 'i found rares are for other ppl'. Even with a higher rarity deed bonus it keeps failing when it counts to me, for example when im imping armor. And i'm getting all the time rare moments when im farming or mining. I'm realy not waiting for huge amounts of rare mats because they decay to fast and when i'm trying to use them on items it also fails. It annoys me more and more by the day. 95 Out of 100 times rare moments are happening when i'm not creating or imping stuff... It feels like its programmed to make people fail when they realy need it. Imo its carbage...

    I have in my possession a full set of glimmersteel plate armor, which to my knowledge may well be the only complete set on the cluster, though I cannot confirm this. This armor is the strongest in the game, offering better overall damage reduction than even dragon scale, the same as Seryl. The metal is rare and can only be collected by winning the Hunt of the Ancients on Chaos or from completing a rift. Finally decided I'm never personally going to put it to much use and could use the money so here is a picture and auction that i'll run for one week.     So, yay! We now have stairs and bridges! Great work team. Something I think we all miss though are a ramp you can ride up, that you can build inside a structure. I suggest that this ramp should take quite a bit of materials (since you're basically covering a floor worth of bricks). 40 bricks and 40 mortar? The ramp should NOT be pushable, but Turn is obviously a very big necessity! Yes? No? Give me all your feedback on this idea EDIT: Changed suggestion due to reasonable feedback.

    I can't think of many games where new players have instant and easy access to top tier creations. Slate floors, large ships, aren't and shouldn't be tailored to be able to be done easier by new players. These are things that players work up towards, these are high level crafts that are indeed for players who are already settled into the game. Furthermore, there is zero need for an entry level player to have slate floors, or huge ships, when there are a dozen and one other things that they should be working or investing in to get themselves situated and off to a good start in the world of Wurm.

    These things are just in relation to different skill things, I am sure there will be things I have not thought about but here goes any way: For days my friend got NO ticks on meditating. Not nature. Not meditation. Not 'any random tick at all'. Nothing. Suggestion: Please add ticks for meditation (on occasions you don't get meditation, let them get other kinds of ticks). Also please increase the amount of times you get meditation ticks, even over 80 meditation skill level. Please add natural substance ticks or nature for improving paints. Please add some kind of window, similar to crafting, for making healing covers.

    Don't fret just yet. After a few hours of messing around, the PvE server is now functional and stable. The only downside so far is that all Depth Drills had to be deleted. Currently working on getting the mods that made the server what it was back in order so we can actually have it up and running within a reasonable timeframe. Maybe a day or two. Possibly less. Who knows. EDIT: Things are actually going exceptionally well. I am pretty confident we'll be able to get the server up and running so people can at least play in the next day or two.

    I think the better option for meditation would be to tailor the event message similar to farming, giving a better indication of why you are not getting ticks. Improving dyes does not use any skillcheck, to give ticks it would need to start doing so, which means making it more difficult to improve colours. The reason the crafting window doesnt work for healing covers is due to the way it works, rather than being individual recipes it's potency 1 x potency 2, so it's not as simple as just adding the ability to do so in, which is why it hasn't been done yet, maybe in a UI overhaul, but I'd have to speak with the devs about that

    I personally feel they should reduce the chance on rares when creating and increase the chance on imping. It would help level out the market. As it stands i feel like the majority of the rares on the market are made by those few who just farm them by spamming new items. I am sure that was not the intention of the devs when implementing this system.

    I just said what i do and i'm ok with what i get..doing what that guy did with his guide...it goes beyond just playing a game for fun.. and is more like taking it to science and make money off the game..thats just not the way to go in any game.. but thats just me i guess,it takes all the funn away.

    We Are Live! What's an Impalong? It's a community event that's hosted on someone's deed, where crafters and priests from across Wurm join together to improve/enchant others' gear for free. In addition to the imping/enchanting, there are various other things such as games and events, prize giveaways, contests, and sometimes even GM's drop in to spawn a few mobs on unsuspecting Impalong-goers.     There have been some questions regarding the current plans with Wurm, so we'd like to take the opportunity to outline our focus and a rough roadmap for the next few months. Currently we have two projects as our main focus, the new client renderer and the cooking update. The cooking update has a tentative release date of mid November, with public testing opening up towards the end of October. We are currently ensuring that the recipe system works and that all foods have adequate information. Included in this update will be some expanded changes to the Rift system, including uses for the new Rift materials that you’ve been able to gather recently, as well as some small extra mechanic changes to them. As well as this there will be some changes focusing heavily on the Epic servers, including large amounts of planned bug fixes and improvements to the mission system and further Epic specific features to be introduced. The unstable client has most of the major bugs and crashes addressed at this point, and we really urge you all to try running it. There is currently a known bug which causes random disconnection issues, once that is fixed and barring any further large crash bugs or issues we will be moving the new renderer to the stable client and releasing client update 4.0, so please do take the time to run the unstable client and report any bugs. As stated the last time we did a push for testing of this client, not testing it out now on your system may affect your play if a previously unreported bug shows up when the client moves to stable and the current stable client is no longer available. This brings us to November, and the next series of projects after the cooking update is finished and live. Most of these have been started on in some form already, but will be the main focus for the months following the cooking update: In-Game UI Overhaul Tutorial Revamp New Web Based Account System Updated Web Shop These projects are massive undertakings in themselves, and we will all be working on bringing these long desired systems and updates into the game, with the aim of these projects to allow greater account control, easier play ingame, and a more informative and engaging tutorial. This of course is not all we'll be working on in this time, we have several features in the works as well as always adopting suggestions and ongoing bug fixes - not to mention WU specific changes like the modding api and better mod support. If there is enough interest, we may start writing a dev blog every now and then focusing on mechanics discussions, development decisions and just generally giving more of an insight into why we decide to do something the way we do it. If you would be interested in that sort of thing, do let us know - otherwise we’ll still be posting news and teasers for upcoming patches and projects in the weekly news posts.

    Sermons at the Amish Sanctuary Hi Wurmians! Another week hard at work in the kitchens of Wurm, with the in-house testing nearing completion before public testing on a brand new test server! We'll be resetting the test server map for a brand new one prior to the public testing of cooking, something new to explore! (In house testing doesn't mean the system is bug free, and we'll need your help testing it when it goes public, it just means that you're slightly less likely to die when lighting an oven... slightly) Get decorative! As part of our improvements raised by the fountain pan removal, I'm pleased to announce what is most likely the final change brought in to balance out the functionality lost from the removal of these pans. ***Drum roll** With the upcoming cooking update, all decorative items on a deed with over 30 days upkeep will no longer take decay ticks! That's right, decoration items, such as banners, chests, anvils, barrels, statues, etc will all be decay free as long as deed upkeep remains over 30 days! Under 30 days decay ticks will occur as normal, and use of items will damage them too, of course. Hopefully this makes decorating your deed much more enjoyable, and removes the need to spend hours repairing things if you don't play often. Measuring up This weeks teaser covers a new utensil, the Measuring jug! To aid with measuring precise amounts of liquids, a measuring jug tool has been added. This allows a pre-set amount of liquid to be taken out of a larger amount. The measuring jug is a pottery item, with the initial version being made from clay with a hand. Creation mechanics are the same as all other pottery items. To use the measuring jug, r-click on it and select ‘Set volume to’. This allows setting the capacity to any of the following weights: 0.01 kg 0.02 kg 0.05 kg 0.1 kg 0.2 kg 0.5 kg 1kg 2kg 5kg 10kg Note that Wurm uses weights for everything involving cooking; to simplify matters, it is assumed that all liquids have a density of 1 kilogram per litre. Once the volume of the measuring jug has been set, it may be activated and filled from a source of liquid; it will then contain the selected amount (assuming the source contains at least that much). Several iterations (using different volume settings) may be necessary to get the right amount for a particular recipe. The measuring jug must be empty to adjust its volume. Humpty Dump-ty Not forgotten, we're working on setting up an automated system with regularly updated dumps! This means the setup is taking a little longer, but they should be up soon, here's a sneak peak of Xanadu! Community Content. Nicrolis was showing off his graphics capabilities and snapped this awesome screenshot maxed out on graphics with 4k resolution, I have to say it really does show how beautiful and serene Wurm can be!     The community is rather good. Calling the community bad because some people disagree with parts of your suggestions is a little immature. If you post in suggestions, not everyone is going to agree. No need to turn it around on the community when you make a suggestion that's not popular. As it's been pointed out, your suggestions are not unique. At least twice a year we get a thread just like this. Increase skill gain, reduce material needs, make prem free. Learn how the wheel works before trying to re-invent it.

    It was suggested long ago that a highscores system be made to showcase the highest player skills on Wyvern. Now that the server data is in the hands of everyone, everyone has the means of seeing everyone's skills. I've made a spreadsheet that is ordered by the highest skilled players.     the economy should never be a reason to make crazy changes to gameplay that effect pretty much everyone where being involved in muh economy is opt in and not everyone bothers or cares

    Change the name? Also this game has a extreme problem with other MMO features, some are not really that bad. My simple fix besides renaming it, would be to still allow full loot pvp still on chaos and epic. If a player dies with that upgrade, which mind you could be a high level craft would simply be inert.

    Oblong, I don't remember how long it took me but the 20.1 you need for carts and sailboats should happen pretty fast, especially if you make good use of sleep bonus. I find for the characeristics, if I grind with just those in mind, you may go nuts. But if you work on mining for instance and think of it as gaining skills in ML, mining, and I think Strength, plus all the useful rock and ores you will find, it is less painful. One day you think 'oh, I wonder how my ML is doing' and you will find a pleasant surprise instead of watching that pot boil if you want to make it slightly easier on yourself, in your mine, from a flat tile, mine up, and then level the slanted tile, move forward, mine up, level, and repeat. You will gain pretty quickly and since level continues until you get tired, you reduce the amount of clicking you need to do. If you can get yourself a nice CoC/WoA pick, that will help too.

    I'm generally very pleased with how the current team is working out, especially in terms of communication. One thing I'm very curious about, though: Wurm is a lot of things to a lot of people. It's a kingdom-based medieval PvP game, it's a crafting game, it's a sandbox, it's an exploration and survival(ish) game... it means a lot of different things to different people, and of course sometimes those interests can conflict, as different players want different things. This undoubtedly applies to developers as well. So, now that Budda is essentially at the helm, I'd really like to know what he envisions Wurm as being. The late 2016 development roadmap is nice, but I mean bigger-picture design goals and philosophy behind what Wurm should be and what its strengths and weaknesses are, and general development direction.
