    If you increase the drop percentage of the loot then that just means rifts become obsolete sooner - bad idea. you don't do this event for the small lump either, you do it for the CHANCE at good loots. keep the damn 2 day warning. let the devs try to adjust mob numbers and strengths instead of trying to limit the number of people who can enjoy this event. That mindset pisses me off and is bad for the game.

    All loot comes comes in 25, 50,75 and 100 ql versions plus standard chance of rarity. Apart from the blessed seryll rings, the strength of the bonuses are determined by quality, as they take damage, the bonus will go down. THESE ITEMS ARE NOT REPAIRABLE This means that these items do have limited lifespans, and the market should have both a steady incoming supply without drowning it with these items. RINGS Generic blessed seryll ring with empty socket. Does nothing until you attach a gem which can be done by jewelry smiths of enough proficiency. These rings give certain situational bonuses that consume "charges". The first time you put it on it uses 1 charge then every hour another one is used up. Common lasts 50 hours, Rare 75, Supreme 100, Fantastic 150 (i.e. has this many charges).When removed they cause negative effect for 5 minutes depending on which gem is inside. Sapphire: Stamina reduction +5% causes Vulnerability when removed. Emerald: Dodge +5%, Clumsiness when removed Ruby: CR+2, Clumsiness when removed Opal: Spell resist base +5%, Exhaustion when removed Diamond: Healing effect +5%, Vulnerability when removed Star versions have an increased effect. Gem rarity changes the rift item to higher rarity if so. 2. Improves random skill skillgain 3. Prevents swimming damage 4. Ring of stealth. Improves chance of going stealthy 5. Ring of stealth detection. Improves chances of detecting stealthed players BRACELETS: 1. Improves parry bonus for crushing 2. Improves parry bonus for two handed 3. Increases pierce damage 4. Increases polearm damage 5. Increases enchant damage bonus NECKLACES: 1. Increases fighting skill gain 2. Increases improve skill max 3. Reduces hurting time 4. Increases chance to focus 5. Replenishment, reduces food and drink consumption

    Just finished the rift on Xanadu and I have taken note of a lot of things that need to be tweaked, both on the dev side and on the player side. One of those things being mob spawn rate. The Xanadu mobs were spawning 2-3 at a time. They weren't hard at all just a speed bump to the end goal. They should either all spawn at once or more than 2-3 at a time. Mob difficulty is another thing. They have been severally brought down from what they were on test. For example, I was tanking the Rift Warmaster with 76fs 50 huge axe and 80ql plate with AOSP and I did not get past 70 health. The entire hour that we fought the thing I did not get past 90 health. The champion orge's that spawned were way to easy to take down. I fought one with 3 people and it went down way to easily. A third thing is loot. For my efforts to close the rift all I got was a 77ql .25kg seryll lump. I think loot should be increased to 10% if not 15%. 5% is just way to low. Out of 40 people in one group only like 5 people got loot. Now this next one enraged me so much. It is something for the players to take note of. Please.... do not being carts into the rift area to fight on. Many people brought carts to the rift and brought them into the fight. This only made it harder for the rest of the people. It caused the mobs to get to crowded, therefor, not everyone was able to get a hit in and because of that they did not get a chance at the loot drop. Also if you bring carts into the fight don't be a ###### and have hell horses pulling the cart. I was fighting hell horses the majority of the time instead of the actual rift beasts. If we could kill animals hitched to a cart I would have killed the hell horses and left the player stranded out of pure rage. It is a ###### move to bring hell horses into public fighting events weather it be a unique slaying or a rift event.

    Here, we go, second rift, even worse than the first time. We had more players around, more crowded mobs, more deaths and a bigger cluster######. Probably the worst event we ever had on Deliverance so far. Rift was taken done quickly, nothing surprising with that amount of people, rewards were not properly distributed, again. Most of the good fighters got nothing for their efforts... yay. As usual, we had the silly 0.25 kg of seryll, some are already speaking of farming rifts for it. Is it where we are headed, pity to say the test server was more fun with the small tightly knit groups we had. Live ones are only getting worse and worse. Please team, do something!

    I personally don't care as much for the loot as i care for the fun of participating in these events.. the loot will come eventually.. On the test server i had way more fun and it was more exciting over what we had today on Xanadu. I wouldn't mind smaller rifts where only a few players would attend because they are closer to it, but that would ruin the xanadu landscape pretty fast, if a lot of these rifts pop up and destroy the wilderness Maybe the wave AI need to have the "I" tweaked a bit.. if the first 5 creatures are killed fast.. spawn 5 next time, not one at a time.. if those also get killed, spawn 3 champs at once, and so on.. make it challenging not a slaughter house.. I'm sure at the hunt today if a few champs would have killed 3-4 players everyone would have backed down and organized a bit before engaging again..

    I agree with Hank. Keep the loot drop rate low. Let's not flood the market with 100 new shoulders every rift cycle. I'm also a fan of the random rift opening times, with little or no warning. Pristine was a big crowd today. Bigger groups make for less chance to score well. As Niki sates above and I stated in my other thread, you need to run around tagging everything to hit the high kill marks and can do so, while producing zero benefit to the team. Change the method for calculating participation levels PLEASE! Make it based on damage delt + damage received + healing done, to give all play styles a fair shake at the rewards. Seryll lump QL is a mix of RNG and your participation rank. Nearly all in Phenominal get 80+. Bottom rank gets none. Decent gets 20-30ish, etc. THis seems fine to me, as long as we change how participation is calculated.

    "IF" we must have a pre-rift beacon, to warn us of when and where, days in advance, then please make the /rift command work from anywhere on the server, giving the active rift stats, as well as pre-rift timer countdown. Heck, why not just make a tiny widget that can be added to the client? It could even list the waves a current rift is on. If I log in and a rift is active, no point trying to reach it, if already on wave 3. My preference is to not offer any warning beacon and only have the beacon appear, once the rift starts spewing critters.

    horses are (in WU source) limited to 7% of the server population (so about 3k on indy, 1.8k on pri). I think established servers are well beyond that. I say excluding bred mobs from the percentage count would be a good idea

    Thank you Rolf and CC for this wonderful new rift content. Shutting down the rift today actually felt like a fun community event. I was able to play in a group setting and not have to worry about private or public player run loot lottery. I hope CC considers redoing Unique loot distribution, as I feel it causes discord in the the collective community.

    not sure about the harder waves. at this point i'd believe more in smaller scaled rifts, without the 2 days warning time and with randomized location. It's a pity that all the testing we did on the test server and the many many, did i say many, suggestion we did were not listened to.

    I'm seriously not happy about how the loot is done, I haven't got anything yet except seryll lump at the end both times. It's disappointing, and .25kg seryll just isn't enough for me to keep doing this. The list /rift seems to only factor Quality of lump, the higher it is the better the lump is. You can easily get a top rank by just tagging every mob and doing no damage.

    Yep, I got nothing but the end rewards (albeit I was late and it was crowded). The end rewards seem a bit low, 50ql 0.25kg of seryll almost wasnt worth it to roll out of bed and rush there.

    I'm with Amadee. Short or no timer at all. I don't feel like camping. Ever. I'd rather come upon them in the wilderness and be surprised. (And for the weaker or new players, it's not like the rifts can't be avoided...so no harm). More frequent rifts, much more. More randomness. And guess what? I'm not an elitist.

    As some can see, the ocean populations are getting out of hand. We have to find a better way to keep our creature numbers at better states, as most people find it too inconvenient to hunt on the water. Therefore, I suggest that we add the plastic rings you get from six packs. They will be a byproduct of my second suggestion, cans for brewing. These cans will be more portable and keep ones drink of choice fresh longer. As the two are thrown out, they wash out into our seas and begin wrapping around the dolphins fins and and the cans polluting the seas, generally killing the animals. Stop ocean populations, start littering today.

    They reduce the archery penalty from medium and heavy armor. QL 75 Curious what they might be worth, since these rewards are a new thing. I haven't seen these yet and I closed a lot of rifts on test.

    Most likely not, gone is used a lot more while hunting or tanking uniques or something, so it's always useful in pvp and pve, where path of power kills grinding outside of shield training, and hate while still good for pvp like gone is, isn't as useful because there isn't really a lot happening atm and it doesnt help much in pve. I just mostly want to see what the overhaul is aimed at, and look into the paths again at that point for a potential switch

    I honestly thought that it was fine. A lot of the perceived problems come as a result of overcrowding, which is to be expected for the first rift and is a problem that will lessen over time. That said, the only thing I'd suggest is scaling the number of enemies according to how many players are nearby - this will ensure a consistent experience across all servers and into the future. If there are technical limitations which make that difficult or impossible, an alternative might be to give high population servers (ie, Xanadu) two simultaneous rifts to spread players out more.

    The Release rift was good fun, and although sometimes too crowded to hit stuff, there was almost always something else to go hit instead. I'm not sure exact numbers, but I guess we had something close to just right - it wasn't terribly difficult, but also not *yawn* easy. A better spread of moonmetal lumps at the end would be nice (I think everyone came away with seryll, I know of 1 rare lump), but assuming the rifts will be somewhat common, I don't see the low loot chance as being a problem. Assuming rifts are common-ish, tho, I do worry at the amount of landscape damage across the server. Have to wait and see on that one.

    Hi, Well, I don't know when this will start, and the sun is shining, the birds are roaring, relaxing in the shadow sipping a delicious drink looks like a good alternative ;-) Especially after a few days of preparations in vain. And then - would it be this much fun when I cannot but compete with people that obviously need the loots this much? Wouldn't it be unfair to steal the crumbs those gold farmers have to rely on to feed their children? I'm in the happy situation to be well educated, to have a good job, and to live in a developed, rich country. I can afford to play for my fun, excitement & entertainment - I don't need to go great lengths to desperately grab some in game coin to make my living. I think it's better for my RL karma to keep relaxing in the sun. Watching the paupers quarrel for their loot may give bad vibrations ;-) Have a good time!

    It doesn't matter why they repremmed, it matters if they stay. So lets hope people do stay which returning/new players can also bring back other returning/new players. Prem count in 2-3 more months would be a good indication

    I think we need harder hitting animals the way it is now once you get past that threshold there is not much out there that is a challenge.

    Just to clear something up about battering rams... The feature won't be released until it is finished and tested. The model is done, but I'm still very early in the development stages of it. I hope to have some information for final mechanics to give Retrograde for next week, but cave dwellings and battering rams will not be rushed. As a PvP player, I felt the pain of mechanics being released to PvP all too well. My character's skills were thus that I spent most of my time mining ammo and shooting it at walls rather than storming them. I know the pains of the catapulting system as it stands now, the way multi-story literally added hours to raiding, and the bugs involved with all of that. My goal is to not only introduce battering rams, but to also address some of the other issues that have plagued these mechanics. This is not the PvP revamp that was promised, but these bugs have been long-standing and I will not add to them.

    Noticed something interesting in Actions class, this was added in one of the latest patches: public static final short BOTANIZE_SPICES = 720; public static final short MAKE = 721; public static final short DICE = 722; public static final short SLICE = 723; public static final short MINCE = 724; public static final short CURE = 725; public static final short MASH = 726; Sounds to me like actions for imping food. Also some kind of new spices?

    After my disappointment from the first rift fail. I decided to go to this one and... I enjoyed it. The seryll was nice and got a shoulder too, interesting, but as I have said in other posts I wanted challenge and it was not bad. It could have scaled up a bit, but was not yawn fest that the unique slaughters, i.e. not 20 people standing on a single tile trying to murder 1 goblin/troll/dragon (the events are cool, it is the killing of uniques that is anticlimactic) Heals were actually needed even for someone who can usually shrug off a unique, my second Fo priest actually had to patch someone midfight. Never needed that at a unique fight so never took him to any. I was able to get "phenomenal" with my main and "good" with my Fo priest who was firing (crappy) arrows between heals. Which to me means could be made bit more difficult. If i were to make a suggestion I would like to see number rifts on servers based on average player pop (1 rift per 20 players or something) and uncontiuned rifts (rifts that are not being progressed) end when the first rift is closed, such that pop is split (if the wish to be) between rifts, but groups cannot simply close them by one at a time by sending an alt to start another to keep it open (unless alts can defeat waves). As far as warning time minimum, really some like 4-8x the RL time it takes to ride 0-speed horse accoss a server lengthwise, which is to say enough time to tell friends via pm or email of incoming and for them to log in and get there without rushing so much they forget their tent, which of course means the events are synchronous and random cool down. Overall I really enjoyed it, it is literally the first team activity I have enjoyed. As far as I am concerned the initial fail is forgotten.

    Rifts have been added to Niarja Live. Rifts are new and it's clear the developers are still working some things out, so initial tweets might look weird. They should settle down once Rifts settle down. The tweets also don't get very specific. I can only call out when a Rift first appears, and when it closes. There doesn't appear to be a tweet for when a Rift goes active.

    Was not happy about my first under dwelling being put in the news unfinished, but my fault for not getting it done in time for the news. Almost done now, will flatten the ceiling a bit more, and now those iron viens are really going to see some pick action as they just do not look good in the way of things.

    -1 I don't see it as a problem, so don't see the need for a "solution." And for the record, I still see pavements decaying periodically on little-used roads. I repaired one just the other day in fact. Just because a road is little-used doesn't mean someone didn't put it there for the express purpose of easing travel on the occasions when someone does chance to go that way. I'm in the camp with those saying if you want it changed, change it. This is a sand box after all, as we're reminded daily when other issues arise.
