Remove priest body stat gain nerf god damn it
  2. 4 points
will there be an item for those on path of insanity to change to other paths, or an option added on the mat? How long will we be able to swap POI to other paths? 1 week, 1 month, 1 year? Any info about other paths nerfs/buffs? will we get an option to change from that other path after it will get its nerf/buff? (f.e. I wouldnt want to change from lets say SOTG to poL and find that poL will get double heal nerf, but I am not able to change it) The thing is: SOTG is getting nerfed, you will make other path OP (or one will still be more OP than others, so everyone insta changes to that path, you nerf that OP path, so everyone insta swaps for another path... and so on...) Please correct me if I am wrong here.

Thanks to MD for the idea. Excluding armor and any stat modifiers, make it so every 1% of damage reduction = you deal 1% less damage. Cap all forms of DR at 30%. (so SOTG + Smoke/Continuum/Alcohol/Champ won't stack, and Hate doesn't recieve as big of a bonus with these items either.)

With archery not being really useful before, the ability to run around with a 2h weapon was fairly safe. Archery now becomes more viable with the removal of the 30% chance of failing, yet does not become too powerful, as the difficulty is increased. This means that the use of 2h weaponry instead of a shield is a much more risky task and archery should be fairly useful again. Information about switching from Path of Insanity will come in a later update, and will be a time limited option only available to path of insanity (probably a month, at most). We decided upon 30% as a compromise as it provides a good starting point. It may still be slightly OP, but does mean that it is less of a requirement, and allows us to revisit it later when we have time to address all meditation paths. I'd like to see meditation paths add situational flavour as opposed to requirements for PvP or PvE, but will need to ensure that the proper amount of time, testing and balance is provided.

Well you took words and put some action to it. Nicely done and thanks. It's great that these patches were made but we can't lose steam, what are the next things to look at? Some easy - not allowing mail to be sent with enemy in local - not able to Karma to a deed if enemy are in the deeds local etc etc etc Some harder - Valrei tombs %'s - deed defence/deed offense., etcc etc etc

The way people have been framing it, you'd think we all ran into battle butt-naked, foaming at the mouth and cutting three non-SotG in half with a single swing of our huge axes. The only people who'll be unable to use 2Hers after this are people who shouldn't have used 2Hers in the first place. Not that anyone sits back and shoots arrows into a melee in the first place, but w/e

Whole overhaul is required to fix the pvp system we have here. People keep saying SoTG is for being tanky, every game I've played that has a 'tank' class has lower DPS, apart from Wurm. There's a reason it works this way. It's called balance.

Saying POK is "OP" for PvP is ridiculous - if I'm a player playing for like 3 or 4 years on Epic (and have actively grinded PvP skills) I'm already going to have PvP skills high enough to not gain much benefit from having 25% skillgain. Like oh boy, I can grind from 85 to 90 large axe TWENTY FIVE PERCENT FASTER; the skill difference is negligible, as is the % increase. Love, Insanity, Power, Hate will all benefit me much more in actual PvP situations, because they all have abilities that directly impact such gameplay. Knowledge's 25% skillgain increase (at lvl 11, so no new player or proably even 6 month player is going to have this) simply can't be qualified in the same way as SotG or 50% damage increase from Hate. It's just silly!

Hm, that doesn't seem to be the case on the WO servers. Strange to think that it'd be fixed on WU but not WO. Any devs want to comment on this?

on average you can get 1 BS per month, with POK that is 1.25, 7.5 per 6 months, or 1.5 more than without POK. After being a champ you will lose 1 point, or in total will gain .5, and instead of 30% dmg red, you will have 60%. So being a champ with POK is becoming OP OP
  28. 1 point
ur on a pvp server this patch to try and fix pvp so why would u want a 25% skill gain when ur account could be pvp ready with 30% damage reduce
  29. 1 point
i totally disagree, knowledge path gives 25% skill gain, its probably more useful overall if your a grinder.
  30. 1 point
Um I'm here too, lol. Though I don't have as much time on my hands to play as I'd like, sadly, but I try. And also I guess I haven't really seen PvP on this server yet (due to not having enough time/skills), but soon, soon!

needs a bigger nerf or removal entirely. if it's still large enough to be a requirement, then it's still a problem. the same goes for any meditation path. but hey i haven't been right about anything ever, despite complaining about most of the stuff that has resulted in the majority of the pvp population quitting

Honestly? It's your fault for starting or buying a deed next to a mission structure. You knew it was there, and it was your choice to have that deed in that location. Mission structures being permanent makes them more appealing to actually build. I built a working (as in, mission-generating) obelisk on Xanadu, and it's really nice knowing that a thing that I and my alliance put a lot of effort into will stick around and be a part of the server forever. Even aside from the potential griefing of people destroying other people's hard-earned mission structures, it will diminish the incentive to build them if other people can later simply move or destroy them. For what it's worth, you can push a mission structure if you actually built it yourself. If you didn't, then like I said, it's entirely your fault for having a deed right next to one. I mean, come on, why did you get a deed with a mission structure right in the perimeter and then complain now about not being able to expand? You knew it was there, and if you didn't know it was there, then frankly, that's a really obvious thing to miss considering they stick out like a sore thumb. In either case, it's nobody's fault but yours that you choose to have a deed with a mission structure in the perimeter, and complaining about it now is a bit silly. I just can't help but feel like you're less concerned about what would actually make the game better, and more concerned about the fact that you goofed up and bought a deed in a poor location by accident. Letting random people destroy and deed over mission structures would cause all sorts of problems, but I guess that's less important than you being able to go back on a mistake you made?

I keep 4 rows of 4 1x1 gated stalls. Looks like "animal jail" but its extremely functional, simplifies breeding, maintenance (there is almost no maintenance needed), leaves plenty of room for adding more animals, and the biggest benefit... I never have an issue with grouped animals when AI coding is bugged. The 1x1 buildings are centered to accommodate the Humid drizzle Fo spell if needed. Once bridges are released, I "plan" to connect each of them so I can quickly circle through and ensure there are no packed tiles. (Again, rarely happens. Maybe 1 every couple of months or so) 4th "back" row (closest to the kitchen) is 75% filled with 3 cows and 1 bull per row with the last 25% with Bison (Females are kept on the outside with 2 males on the inside) | cow | f bison | | cow | m bison | | cow | m bison | | bull | f bison | 3rd row is 50% sheep with female on the outside pens and males on the inside pens with the other half filled with Hell horses. | f sheep | f hell horse | | m sheep | m hell horse | | m sheep | m hell horse | | f sheep | f hell horse | 2nd and 1st rows are for speed horses, aggressives, etc. (Again, females on the outside pens with males in the inside, to accommodate a quick run through to see if we have any new arrivals) | f horse | | m horse | | m horse | | f horse | If the females are pregnant I move them to the outside stalls. If they are on cooldown i'll leave them with the male as a reminder that I need to breed them. It's designed larger than I "plan to use" so I always have the option to fill it up and hit Animal Husbandry, milking, shearing, etc if I ever decide to do so. Twilight pic "Seems its usually dark when its screenshot time" Happy planning!
