As topic says let there be a chance that a wild animal becomes domesticated when taming it. If it becomes domesticated , no longer will be counted as tamed. Then you would be able use it as a regular horse or any other animals that doesnt need taming to be lead or hitched, age shouldnt matter in this case. Maybe the chance should be very low like getting a supreme.

In an update today most movement related issues were cleared out and you should notice any remaining glitches only rarely if at all. Precision in positioning is now increased and moves are propagated more frequently from the server. Rejoice!

My Aunt sent this to me today, thought I would pass it along for all the Women to nod sagely at and the Men ... well just be warned Reminds me of a few of the women I have met in this game Nine Words Used By Women (1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. (2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. (3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine. (4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! (5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing..... (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.) (6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. (7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever'). (8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F___ YOU! (9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to #3.

I have been playing this game for awhile. I have seen some nice improvements, So here we go with another idea and I will would to se if there is gonna be positive or negative feedback on the Idea. Well here it is. In real life even a Weaker individual could lead a Team of 2 Horses and a Cart. So I was thinking that in WURM, we could add that non-premium players could lead a cart with 2 horses. Yes when reading this you are thinking they are getting premium bonus with this , But in all reaity they are not because they can not ride the cart as commander. They just have the ability to haul more weight in the cart and not rage quit . Well wether it positive or negative, lets get some feed back so our dev teams can look at this idea. Retro knows I am posting this. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

The Egyptian Dynasties no longer exist but they left lots and lots of crap around to keep. It didn't all turn into dust instantly. Nothing new was created and things were lost to time. It should work like that here too.

On the Home page of these forums there is a "Server Status" panel on the side that always updates the player count of each Wurm Online server, which will give you a pretty accurate indication over time. Normally Xanadu is always the most populated, followed by Independence, then the rest up and down. The problem with Xanadu is that it always has noticeable lag in comparison to the smaller servers and "refresh" lag, which means that the stamina bar will not return to full quickly like on the others. It would be pretty hard to give any accurate figures in comparison with Wurm Unlimited, although when you start that game through Steam it will give you the current population of each one if you scroll through them. Maybe Steam has a status page about it to reference in a more concise manner. It is an interesting question about how many former Wurm players have moved over to WU, one I would like to more about myself; but, I think on this all you will get are scattered individual answers which still leave any accurate comparison far out of reach. Simple enough to pay the one time Wurm Unlimited fee and log into any of the many individual servers at no further cost, which will be apparent because they have no *Lock icon before their name. There is so much variety in their functioning setup to the individual server owners preferences that it is not too hard to find a few set to anyone's enjoyment. This is what I see as a significant difference to WO and is one of WU's strongpoints to others benefit, as well as the no-cost model to further playing on these servers. Just take a step in some direction and let the journey begin, as none can see it through your eyes but you. Happy Trails =Ayes=

There are a few WU servers with a full staff and sorry I hardly think 20 to 30 dollars a month will break the WU server owners they where once WO vet players who dumped more money a month in WO for multiple account's than they do now on there private server's. I my self was dumping around 35s a month for 4 deeds and 3 full accounts all payed threw the wurm shop. Now I spend only 19.52 us a month no restrictions on how many account's I can have no monthly land fee or no land cost. I was able to get rid of the most hated feature for me from WO RWMT. I have been playing WO for past 5 years now that it is cheaper for me I can see my self playing for another 20+ years. See I no longer in a boat of how long will this game last. Will it end up like freerealms, Vanguard, MXO, SWG, Archlord, Archlord2, etc.... the list goes on and on of games closed. See I don't have to worry I own the game and the server. Even if dedicated server companies stop supporting WU server's I can still run it off my own PC. Wurm will be with me forever. Least till I develop my own Survival Game.

Hi everyone! Bit of a bumpy week here with the restarts as we worked on a new movement system, but the good news is most of the bugs are ironed out, with any remaining ones sure to be squashed soon. But first, on with the notes! Wurm Online: Wurm Unlimited: Changes to Wurm Unlimited updates We have decided to move to a more routine weekly update with Wurm Unlimited, pushing a beta for the next week and a live out at the same time, meaning players always have a week to ensure the beta version works with their server. With this we'll also be pushing a "previous version" branch, meaning players will be able to continue playing after the update on their favourite server until the server update runs. We hope that will avoid the crashing and downtime issues faced in yesterday's update due to waiting for the server admins to update! Movement updates! This week we saw several restarts due to the implementation of a new movement system. We understand the restarts were a pain, but unfortunately the environment on the live servers cannot be emulated fully on our test servers so some slight teething issues were expected, we hope the sleep bonus makes up for it all! What we are left with is a new and much improved movement system, reducing server calculations and speeding up the way the server handles movements, which opens the door for many interesting improvements to come... Help is on the way! One of the updates this week is the introduction of a new help channel, GV Help! This channel won't impact current players much, but allows CA Help on Golden Valley to be monitored and accessed by all staff members, meaning extra support during those vital first few moments when entering the game. Please wait... Loading.... Coming next week is a rather large update to how Wurm handles graphics, The dev team has been busy moving our current models from an ascii based format to a new, binary based custom format. This format will speed up loading times as well as help with some of the issues when travelling long distances. While this may mean a long update as the client downloads the new graphics, we assure you that it's worth the wait. This also coincides with the implementation of support for a new texture format, which we will be gradually switching all textures over to, starting with the largest textures. This new textures will save massive amounts of vram, using up to a quarter of the current textures! So you wanna be a Gangsta Community Assistant? Do you have community spirit? Do you like helping others? Do you know heaps about Wurm? Do you like the colour cyan? If you answered yes to all of these questions, we may have a spot for you! I'm looking for community oriented players to join our CA team and be a part of supporting players new and old across all servers. I'll be updating the application form over this weekend, so if this interests you, please apply. It does not matter if you've applied before or this is your first time, all applications are welcome! EDIT: The application forms are up! Wurm Online has a tiny new server admin We are thrilled to announce our Server Admin, MaxC, has gone through the grueling task of his wife giving birth to their new son, and we'd like to give a Wurmian welcome to the world to Lucas! Weekly Question Weekly Screenshot! This weeks screenshot is of Amish Paradise on Xanadu, with an amazing setup for ships. I’m always amazed at just how creative you all are with bridges, definitely thinking outside the box!

I have a villager on my deed that I gave ass mayor too that can destroy grave stones and plant items on deed. She does not have 21 body strength yet, at around 20.5 or so. I was wondering if this is a change with permissions or a bug.

Decision time for me. GoldFever's premium runs out in 3 days. Been a helpful discussion. I'm thinking I got to buy a WU package just to make sure I have one if the worst happens. Be fun to check some of the private servers out for kicks as well. However, I'm thinking the main servers are the best bet for me. Don't see leaving them anytime soon.

My dad would like me to find him a new graphics card for his computer. I am currently in the process of finding him a new one, but the most graphics intense thing he runs is Wurm Online, and I don't think he needs anything too powerful or too expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions for cards that can run Wurm with nice graphics, or does anyone else really only run Wurm and has found a nice graphics card for it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For those not aware its been a longtime feature to be able to outfit tower guards with player crafted weapons and armor, thus upgrading them. Though they are not capable of using mounts or archery as ranged weapons. It doesn't get much widespread usage due to two main problems. One, anyone from the same kingdom can equip or dequip a guard. Tower guards can die from non-pvp means, even suicide (can be fun to watch ur events), thus leaving gear scattered about. I would like to see guards enabled to use bows, and perhaps even mounts. Additionally some permission system or setup for preventing just anyone from being able to strip guards. Also some central storage or armory to help with managing and equipping large numbers of guards. At either the deed or pmk level.

I remember that, but hedges are fences anyway. A different kind, but still fences. You can destroy them like any other kind of fence, and they go down real quick. The damage they deal to weapons seem to be bugged, however.

the purpose of F2P is just to see how challenging the game is and get a taste of wurm, and encourage the player to go premium... anything that encourages people to make F2P alts is a huge -1 in my opinion....

There is the idea of hitching a ram to a small cart and leading that, I think that would be something for a non-prem player to use, letting them move a bit faster than dragging cart speeds.

Had a similar suggestion going here, seemed a bit controversial: I agree with the easy removal of hedges though; the griefing potential isn't the same as easy removal of other fences, since you could enforce the 21 BS limitation anyway, and even without it you can already prune them down to the point of uselessness.

Where do you get this? iv been in 10+ villages in the past few years on various accounts and each village(that wasn't just me and like two others) had about 3 alts per person average. Mainly mining and battery alts but still alts. Additionally i know a guy who has and runs 11 alt accounts, And thats just one person. Who knows who else is running more~ Well if your smart about where you look, You can find those legendary servers you speak of. I personally find them quite often actually, Just from a batch im most familiar with since i got over 4000 legit hours logged, The Garry's Mod community, Its VERY obvious after playing around for a bit you can tell who's been there for the past like 10~ years its existed. One of my favorite communities that disappeared/shut down was Sassilization, But that shut down due to code modifications hindering development to the point where the server wouldn't run the modifications anymore. Just by joining that server you automatically knew "this server is unique and has history", You can youtube it, pretty sure theres some awesome footage still on there. With that said, You can do the same and can tell who's going to be here with Wurm Unlimited, For example, Wyvern. Its owners are modifying the code by themselves, Nobody puts in custom work just to throw it away 6 months later, Atleast most don't anyways. Small percentage do. All n all, Don't just settle in right away and expect it all to run smoothly, Its almost the same with WO, Move in next to someones deed, Someone may have a beef with you for doing that and you may or may not have to relocate.

Everythings a gamble, Not "just because its not wurm online". Ditch the double standard here. WU Is in the same boat as minecraft, garrys mod, BF:BC2 and basically every other game that has player run servers now. YOU need to find what is worth investing time and what isn't. IE Don't join some server called "Wurm Unlimited" that has 1/15 players on it. Odd's of that lasting are not high while a server thats 100/255 daily has a much higher probability of lasting much longer. No owner anywhere will ever just "give up" a community unless theres active reason to do so such as confrontation, drama etc. Even if a owner loses interest(Which does happen atleast several times a year with any community), They pass it off to there staff team to run it and maintain the server until the owner returns.

I'm sorry but you're delusional. If you honestly believe that a player-ran server is more secure than servers hosted at the behest of the company then you haven't been paying attention. I've been playing WO for 7 years (not sure how long you've been playing), so I know that the official servers are very secure. WU has been out for only a few months, and there are already complaints about people who change their own rules on a whim and ruin the gameplay of others out of spite or greed. I'll repeat that. It has been merely a few months, and WU already has negative feedback when it comes to how some servers are handled. Stretch that out over 10 years (the life of WO so far) and then come back and tell me it's more secure. Pipe dream buddy. Edit: Let me clarify to say that I know the WO servers have changed over the years, whether they be added to, wiped, recreated or merged. However, that has happened only a very very few times over the course of 10 years. History speaks for itself on this accord. WU has no lengthy history worth respectable comparison, but it has already caused some grief in it's short existence thus far. More is surely to come.

We've made a lot of progress in the last month and a half. Have Three of our new Stables up and functioning, but still have a tremendously long way to go. As you can see, there's a ton of surface mining to be done. Time to get to work!

Talk of declining populations tends to be amusing for me. Granted I started playing when there was a far lower playerbase. For example when Wild's /who jumped over 10, a raid was ongoing. Also Sye's battle chicken... and shaft pvp was the bomb.

I have mixed feelings about such a thing. First off id say no as it should be a prem thing to use a large cart. But on the other hand if it would make new players stick around and maybe pay for prem id have to say yes. With one reservation and that are the possible speed you should be able to lead them, it should be slow at a max of say 7-8km.

Right now, hedges allow us to essentially plant permanent fences that never decay. This seems a little inconsistent with how the rest of Wurm works, and is a total pain when clearing up formerly-deeded areas, since they are just as hard to destroy as other fence types. So, I suggest one or both of the following: Let hedges decay (probably rather slowly), and make them easy to repair by watering them like you do with flowerpots and similar objects. Allow hedges to be easily removed with a shovel or similar implement, in one action, assuming the player has permissions (of course).

+1 This certainly has to have affected market prices for PMK specific goods. For instance look at the prices the carefully marketed macedon goods have been going for at auction, shame making that type of investment of real money or silver earned through playing wurm go out the window if macedon were to be here today, gone tomorrow. Who wants to pay extra for a pmk wagon if next week it could poof into a common freedom wagon. These items are wurm history, please preserve it, as well as the value invested.
