I'm just wondering; What emergency has happened to make this an issue that must be dealt with now of all times? What spare time in the day did the developers at Code Club find in their schedule to take a look and spend time balancing(!) something that has been in game since August 29 2008. Are they not aware of things being severely broken in many respects right now? For some quick examples - the hunted system and the catapulting system. Or, some things that absolutely should be getting high priority right at this moment to get the Wurm Unlimited player base securely established? For example - Customization of server options, language support, mission system overhaul... and so on and so forth. I'm just so confused... why is this happening now?

I just started watching this and i was not sure where to post this at but so far it is very interesting to get a new players perspective on WU so i thought i would share it everyone.. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xc5z6T9KbA

When I first started the game one of my funnest adventures was taming a brown bear and having it follow along everywhere I went. It protected me from wolves, ate my leftover fishies when I went fishing, it even pulled my minecart and made me feel so much safer in those dark deep scary places! He was my constant companion. Then, about 3-5 years ago, Rolf nerfed the pets They broke taming really really fast (not so much domestic ones like horses or dogs, but bears and higher would only hold a tame a brief time) Their combat rating was nerfed down the toilet, a brown bear could no longer even be a sure winner against a pheasant. A wolf pet or worse a dog, would die in seconds. Their cart pulling abilities were extremely nerfed so only certain age ranges would work. This was apparently due to issues in PvP combat with people having champion trolls puling a cart full of warriors and destroying anything in their path. But a lot of new players lost the ability to have a companion PvE pet in their life. I lost all interest in Animal Taming on that day, and now I only use it to saddle a horse. I would like to have, once again, Mr. Bear accompany me on my adventures through Wurm Unlimited. Can anyone tweak a pet mod? They need to be same power at least as wild versions (or trainable to be a smidgen better), hold a tame for at least a day or so, pull a large cart regardless of age. Maybe higher taming level (upset, nervous, calm, loyal etc) gives a mild boost to abilities so a person who really focuses on the animal taming skill, finds it to be of actual USE.

My input on The OP suggestions for remedy: Renaming those containers (usually fountains) to "Source Rift" or something similar indicating they have created an anomaly. Also changing their actual item template so they are a completely different item. Sure, Rename away, this effects functionality in game in no manor what so ever. I am curious as to why this is needed though? Just happen to feel like it? Does this effectively tag these items as legacy items to ensure no future bugs that may again make these possible to make slip between the cracks? Just please for the love of all things holy do not change their appearance, Wurm is notorious for making a little tweak that seems irrelevant and thus causing horrendous bug from these small tweaks. Making existing items containing these anomalies permanently immovable. No, because as stated previously tweaks are the root of all evil in this game. Making these anomalies heat a bit slower No, because this will have literally no effect on the balancing of anything and is thus pointless. Fountain pans do not current smelt ore/heat items any faster than anything else. Imposing a minimum but still slower decay rate in those cases where they are in nodecay containers No, this is the most essential feature of these items that the majority of owners enjoy and have bought the items for, in close second being over all capacity. Potentially increasing the storage size of magic chests. Yes, this helps balance the existence of the items in question, in my opinion, by giving others larger, but most critically non-decaying storage. Potentially adjusting the amount they can hold. No, again modification of function is too likely to risk unintended side effects just causing more drama in the future. Potentially having them decay like magic chests and not be repairable. No, eventual removal is still removal and will not be in the favor of all those whom are currently fighting to have these legacy items maintained as a part of this games history. Making them not fit into chests any longer (existing would likely remain though) No, a mix of previous fear of tweaking causing problems being reiterated. But this also forces current owners to choose between one function or another of the item, due to weight if you ever remove it from a chest to move your location it will no longer be able to be used as a volume expansion to non-decaying containers. Or alternatively if you happen to be a person that uses them to smelt and store items you may drop your items from the container temporarily to use it to smelt and then want ot put it away and continue to use it for storage. New anomalies would not be able to be created (legacy item) They are not currently able to be created any longer since the update in 2008 that made the finishing of unfinished items inside other containers impossible and then the later update removing unfinished items that do not require extra component from existence in the game. Unless by this it is meant that a zero tolerance policy for such items yielded from bugs will be implement from here out? If that is the case, certainly, but only under the circumstance where ALL items are removed/dealt with in a timely manor, in conjunction with the bug also being fixed. No more Fix it, but let the results of the bug linger until someone complains enough for Devs to take care of it. My input on other player's suggestions for remedy: I would say make the magic chest hold more and remove the fountain pans and give the owners of the fountain pans a new free chest as a replacement. If the circumstance arises where it's deemed utterly necessary that the fountain containers must be removed from game, this seems like a fair resolution so long as the Large magical chest can contain as much as a current fountain container would, since value wise this is the most similar for current trader price available. In addition the replacement to fountain containers are one chest per fountain container, and not one chest per owner regardless of quantity of fountain containers owned. I think the important part is making a new item that can do about the same thing is that the trader sells them. I think that this in itself is the best resolution, either via shop or trader make items of similar function available to all, it is the multi-purposefulness of these items that make them so desirable and thus expensive. Not only do they expand the internal storage capacity of non-decaying inventory but the capacity in itself makes so many things much more easy to manage in Wurm. But I'd still be in favor leaving the original fountain containers with all current functions as legacy items for the players how have been here for nearly a decade. Sure, it would remove monetary value the current items to have a replacement of similar function in game, but in essence I feel that's exactly where the balance lies. Make the function available to everyone without taking anything from anyone else. The monetary value of the item means little to me, a majority of other players I have discussed the current situation with and seemingly a large number of those in this thread. So in the end this would be the best compromise as it takes away the value of the item, leaves the function and gives all those that were not around when these items were make-able the ability to experience to joys of them, it would also generate more revenue for Wurm Online if the new rendition were available from the shop or traders at the approximate value of fountain containers. Even possibly making a few variations as there are of the current fountain containers, in example fountain pans are fire-impervious and fit in small magical chests making them over all most useful and previously averaging 80-100e/s. Fountain backpacks only fit in large magical chest which means while they are impervious to fire, and can be used in forges they cannot be used in conjunction with the steel magical chest to prevent decay at the same time, price averaging 60-80e/s. Finally satchel fountains, which burn, but fit in small magical chest so they are exclusively used to non-decaying storage expansion, price averaging 40-60s. Plenty of other good suggestions were made but I feel all the options are best covered in the few I responded to above in the least redundant manor. In the end I particularly want to say thanks Rolf, Md, Retro and other involved staff for taking the time to make this into an open discussion for both sides to air their grievances and hopefully find a compromise that will not devastate either side.

So I find it interesting no one else has bothered posting this. Not sure if they were just reluctant to share the information or what. It doesn't seem like anything that requires a great deal of technical knowledge to do, but I've seen nothing about it posted so far. So I figured I'd shed some light on it and enlighten those of you who don't already know how to do this. There are some caveats to this of course, the main being that if you're going to run multiple clients to connect to different servers and you want your friends to join your game, it's only going to try and connect them to the last one that you've connected to. This guide will demonstrate how to run multiple instances of the same Wurm Unlimited copy with just using one steam account, no VM or other 3rd party software required. So without further ado here is the guide: So with an instance of Wurm Unlimited already running do the following steps: Open task manager (ctrl+shift+esc will you get you there the quickest)Go to the 'Details' tab from within task manager.Find the 'SteamService.exe' click on it once and hit the 'End task' button located on the bottom right hand corner of task manager.Find the 'Steam.exe' process and once again click it and 'End task'Check to see if GameOverlayUI.exe is running, if so end task on that process as well. Now just relaunch Steam and login as usual and launch Wurm Unlimited (Steam doesn't know about the previous instance running anymore )Repeat these task for however many clients you would like to run.Notes: Always make sure to close SteamService.exe first, if you close Steam.exe first it will automatically close your game with it!You'll need to have administrative privileges on the Windows account you're running on. (By default on a standard Windows install the first user created will by default have admin privileges)Here is a quick batch file I threw together in order to automate the process of having to close steam and relaunch it. This batch file will atuomatically close all steam processes running and then relaunch steam, login (if you set the credentials), then automatically launch Wurm Unlimited for you. @echo offrem ------------- Variables ------------------SET Wurm=366220SET Steam="%programfiles(x86)%\Steam\Steam.exe"rem -------- Kill the 3 steam processes -------taskkill -f -im steamservice.exetaskkill -f -im steam.exetaskkill -f -im gameoverlayui.exerem ------- Start Wurm Unlimited --------------call "Steam" %STEAM%:LAUNCHtimeout /t 1 /nobreak >nulstart "Steam - Wurm Unlimited" %STEAM% -applaunch %WURM% >nul 2>nul || goto LAUNCHexit Copy the code above into a text editor (Notepad, Notepad++ or the like), then save the file as WurmUnlimited.bat to a place of your choosing. You can rename it from WurmUnlimited to whatever you like, just note the .bat you'll need to make sure you change the file type under save as to *.* . Once saved right click and run as administrator. Notes: This batch file requires that you use the 'Remember my password' check box on steam at least once prior to using this batch. This batch assumes that you install Steam to the default location (Program Files (x86)\Steam\). If you've changed this, then you'll need to change the variable Steam to reflect the correct path. Let me know if you all have any questions or suggestions, or if you found this useful :-) Edit: Additional info added. Edit: 10-28-2015 - Updated the batch file, thanks to Steam user Fattox on the Steam forums for improving it to use the cached saved credentials that Steam stores, now uses a more secure way to handle saved credentials! Updated with a few additional notes.

Hey guys, I've been wanting to do a re-skin for the Wurm UI for probably as long as I've been playing the game, several years at least. WU gave me the opportunity so I'm jumping in with both feet! Here's a screenshot of the UI, note that I have the font size set to 14 here. This is something anyone can adjust in the game settings, it's not part of the re-skin. Instructions and download below. Download the WU-UI-Reskin.zip and save it on your PC. Open WU-UI-Reskin.zip in a zip application, I recommend 7zip. Close Wurm Unlimited if it's running. Navigate to where you have Wurm Unlimited installed, then open the Wurm Unlimited\WurmLauncher\packs folder. Make a copy of graphics.jar for safe keeping. Using a zip application, open graphics.jar. If you're using 7zip, just right-click on graphics.jar, highlight "7zip" and then "Open archive". Drag the "gui" folder from WU-UI-Reskin.zip into the open graphics.jar. Make sure you aren't dragging it into a folder, it should be updating the "gui" folder already in graphics.jar. Close graphics.jar and you're done. If Wurm Unlimited updates the graphics.jar file, you'll have to do these steps again.

Very annoying to back up your wagon to unload / load something and have to be in the middle of the wagon to do so. Could the range on the wagons increased slightly or the circle of loading area be shifted so that we don't have to be in the middle of the wagon to unload.

Let people play how they want to play. The entire populace of the planet that's willing to do the same thing over and over and over and over is already playing the game. Get some new players now, while you're young enough to stay up late maintaining servers. What are you waiting for? The fact that people made and bought these items means they don't want decay. For the people who love to lose items and fix decay, they can still satisfy themselves! Throw bricks and food in the streets! Build some nice buildings off deed, and repair them weekly! They can still get their repetitive fix, and throw away invested time and money on inventory loss.

Why change anything at all? The Dev team stated that they would remain in game. If a change is needed, rename the item with the exact same function ability to "Source Rift" as you suggest and not have them craftable. That is the very least which should be done. They are not game breaking, but a nice quirky item in the game.

Affects all platforms for Wurm Unlimited builds 828552 and earlier, and Wurm Unlimited Dedicated Server builds 828553 and earlier. Fix This issue has been fixed for new worlds in Wurm Unlimited build 842455 and Wurm Unlimited Dedicated Server build 842456, released 3rd November 2015. There is now an option to configure tree growth in the server gui, which should be set to 20 for the default spread rate. Issue Tree growth for new servers is not configurable, and those of the servers in Creative_backup and Adventure_backup are set to 0, which prevents trees from growing or spreading. A fix has been pushed but will not be available until it has been included in a release, after which the option will be available in the server configuration gui. Workaround This workaround is only recommended if you feel confident in modifying the database, otherwise you can wait until the fix has been released. You should not update the database without first shutting down the server and making a backup. The tree growth configuration item is located in the SERVERS.TREEGROWTH field in the wurmlogin.db database, and is an integer that gives a 1 in <treegrowth> chance of spawning a nearby tree or a one in <treegrowth> chance of spawning a mushroom when the tile is polled. The default value is 20. Edit: Added notes on fix.

For the longest time, it's been a known method of screwing with your enemies on pvp servers to simply plan a huge building and add 1 brick and 1 mortar to each wall. Now i can't give exact data on the time it takes to make 1 brick and 1 mortar but i think we can all agree it's a very speed process to mass produce bricks and mortar. Even with reasonably new/low skillled accounts its really not hard, then adding that to a plan is less than a ten second timer per. Well in contrast to that fact it takes this long to bash with a high (60+ str account) using a 80QL large maul trying to remove such a house placed to hinder enemy progress. [14:41:05] You see a door under construction. The door needs 19 more stone bricks and mortar until finished. [14:41:05] QL=4.337607, dam=1.3880681 [15:29:57] You start to destroy the wall. [15:29:58] Material stone [15:29:58] You see a door under construction. The door needs 19 more stone bricks and mortar until finished. [15:29:58] QL=4.337607, dam=0.69162565 [15:30:51] QL=4.337607, dam=7.8298903 [15:33:42] QL=4.337607, dam=53.463974 [15:34:34] QL=4.337607, dam=66.17918 [15:35:02] QL=4.337607, dam=72.421455 [15:36:38] QL=4.337607, dam=93.66729 [15:37:13] The last parts of the wall falls down with a crash. Over 7 minutes to bash one wall. I was at this for over an hour while my friends were catapulting a nearby deed among other things. After an hour they had completed their task and i had removed not even half of the walls from one building that didn't have a single complete wall. Throwing a figure out there i believe that any wall that is not 100% complete should have at least 5x that damage rate when being bashed, especially off deed. However i would think it should also apply to deeds because this same trick can be used to stop a riad force being able to remove defensive longhouses to pull down dirt walls, just slap one brick and one mortar on the wall every time one gets catapulted out >.<

I can understand That a slab wont fit in a bulk container, its made of 4-5 shards... but a beam is made of 1 log, and I still have log and scrap left after making 1. Why something so simple haven't been fixed? Suggestion : Nerf Beams and make em stash-able in bulk containers.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually likes winter and the way it looks and feels in Wurm. But I think it could use a little nudge to feel more authentic and add some additional seasonal flavor to the game! Lakes and inland water now freeze. You can walk across them. And ride on horse/cart across them. (Ice road trucking) Ice Skates and Snow shoes for faster travel on foot during winter! Bobsleds and tame able dogs to pull them. Also add thin ice for added risk (this is wurm we seem to be masochistic enough to want this.) New cold food cooking! Mix ice with milk from your cows and get ice cream! Mix ice and berries for sno cones! New smithing recipies. Icebox, freezer, icechest, meatlocker. Place ice in the new containers above and food food stays fresh longer. (Slightly more realistic than 40 kilos of sand witch in a barrel) Snowballs. (Because taking a break from pvp, pve, and pvtree to snowball fight is just fun. Igloo (Because you want a freaking igloo!!!!) Ice/Snow at the top of mountains digable and useable as construction material (Snow fort / Ice Village anyone?) Who else is with me for more winter fun in Wurm? Edit: Tracking other good ideas for winter fun from users in the thread. Brash_Endeavors: Slopes should be more slippery in winter (When covered in snow/ice) New tailoring for seasonal atire. (Masked balls were suggested)

Please reintroduce gift wrapping so that we can add a bit of christmas touch to the presents we want to give out to friends for Christmas. As I understand it, it was removed because people were exploiting it to wrap up items such as pelts and hides to prevent decay. As Etherdrifter will point out in their post below, people continue to do that anyways by storing them on free alts. Just bring back Gift Wrapping. It was a great feature.

Retrograde, I believe there as many voices in here saying rename them and then leave them alone, to be used as currently used. I also see, with the voices requesting these items to remain as legacy items and unchanged in functionality, many, many voices asking for smelting furnaces to smelt more than 100 ores at a time, seeing as painting of ships are already now an option with the way barrels can be taken when full, this is a great addition. If I understand this correctly, if people place them inside a steel magical chest inside a forge, they will become immovable, rendering both the forge and the chest useless, since you cant load either while there is something in side of it? And the moment we unload the pan from either the chest or the forge, they are forever out and can never go back inside of it since you cannot load into chests inside of forges? Or will the current owner still be able to load them back into the chest inside of the forge? Please clarify, I cannot see how someone can be expected to choose a forge to place them in and then lose the option to move said forge by loading it, forever? Also, will the last person who handled the pan then become the owner? This will be imperative as many were sold off and given away, and thus the current owners should be the true owners. What happens if a pan was stored inside the inventory of an alt or inside a bank account? In answer to your suggestions: Renaming: Seems fine Making immobile: More info needed as per my questions above. They should be loadable inside of forges and magical chests by current owners, as often as they want to. Expansion of magical chests: This seems reasonable since the reason so many pans were sold in the first place is basically to expand inventory and container caps, to allow better game play experiences for wurmians Trader item: Why not? Silvers for Code Club Amount they can hold: I would prefer this option of no other changes were made except renaming them. Making them slightly smaller in holding capacity (focus on slightly, to bring in line with current magical chests perhaps?) but still make them takable, tradable, like they currently are. Non repairable: No. These items should remain as legacy items in the game, it is one of the few quirky things that build Wurm history and lore, like the watersword. Thanks.
  17. 2 points
Why would that be? It's a completely legitimate question, and as a Game Master, my concern is obviously getting the serious issues of the game addressed. I do not understand how you can take this any other way.
  18. 2 points
Yeah, so what's clear to me is that turning them into a source rift should disable the ability to place further containers inside. The interior volume of the rift should have an upper limit. Making a maze of containers inside containers is definitely not something that should remain in any form.
  19. 2 points
I agree they should be separated, but until they do I've used the filters in the forums so that I don't see them. See my post in this thread. http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/132828-new-option-for-the-website-please/#entry1364726

Next update will add more command line options, ports, ip and such things. As well the possibility to add an admin password that can be used to change the game tweaks settings from within the game with some new commands (most commands should not require a restart of the server to kick in).

Hi all, If anyone is bored and looking for something to do -- I have permission from the GM team to work on the NE highway that runs along Y8/9. No surface mining or leveling. Just dropping dirt to get rid of the north-south slope. I'm basically turning this: Into this: The highway has 3 tiles, so all I am doing is dropping dirt so that all tiles are even with the very north one. So if you have dirt and some time, feel free to drop away If you have any questions let me know here or PM Wilca in the game.

Seems that the problem is fixed, you have created alternatives. That brings me to another question, what else are you trying to "fix", what is the purpose of this topic? Do you ask us, the players, should you rename this item? Who cares how it is called. Just seems, that staff has been bored and created an artificial obstacle for themselves, now they are trying in the spotlight heroically overcome that obstacle.
  24. 2 points
I dont have any fountian pans, so the final outcome does not affect me, but what is your reason to avoid actual problems in the game and tackle something that actually brings some historic value to the game? The fact that it was left in game from the beginning and the fact that you may not have publicly stated that it would remain you allowed your dev team who all were questioned about it answer that it would remain in game as an artifact. The item today holds value because of ECONOMY, that is what helps drive economy is the fact that it is no longer creatable but some people may want it while others do not. But to waste time worrying about an item that does not hurt the game in anyway is just ludicrous. Please direct your focus on stabilizing your game instead of pedaling with minute problems.

give it a few weeks people will get tired of the new thing and be back to playing like normal. It will be about like when a new server is released everyone will want to play the new cool thing but in time most migrate back to their home. (sure some will stay but most will be back)
  26. 2 points
Actually, you are quite mistaken, As the year goes with wurm, we have various influxes of new players over summer, and then they slowly taper off around this time. While in the monthly graph it does appear player numbers have dropped, in the yearly graph we are about the same range. It will take some considerable time before making statements like yours, Wurm Online is going fine

But you're right, they are so similar that it's kinda "meh". Maybe I just like the texture you used It seems much higher quality. If you find out how to ADD colors, THEN I'll be coming back with a long list I could make the horse a bit lighter, but besides that its pretty much the same How does this look?

So i have not seen 1 SINGLE TOPIC CREATED in the past 4 YEARS about someone complaining someone else had Fountain Pans. Now we add 1 feature to the game and 1 dev post about the REMOVAL of those containers and suddently EVERYONE starts complaning about a feature thats hurts NOT A SINGLE PERSON because most people did not even know about the containers, or seriously DID NOT CARE. Half the people complaning is jealous and the other half might actually care about those items. We are wasting hours of time (by that i mean everyone has to spend time reading this topic, defending themselves etc etc etc) on an issue that was never here in the first place thanks to someone that thought it was an issue after nobody had complained about them in the past years. Good job, we're doing great here.

no, thats a minor functionality. The major functionality it keeps decay away. some time ago, there where skill decay, im not sure if you where around back then, but it resulted in me having to log in at least once every 48 hour and use all the skills I had more than 70 in, unless I wanted to loose 1-2 weeks of grinding in any skill I didnt use with in that time. Luckely it was removed when I was about to quit because of it. It made wurm a chore. If I found chores fun, I could just listen to some of the things the GF yells at me instead of turning the computer on. The major functionality of them are they keep the decay away. it makes the game playable for those of us who have alot of stuff, and not so much time to play. If I where to spend the first 1-2 hours of every time I log in, repairing and re- imping said items, that would be the only thing I could do before I logged out again. eventuraly, id get tiered of that, sell my junk being grumpy and stop logging in at all. Atm I have some 3500 kg if stuff in my fountains. As an alternative, I can use merchants to store stuff on, I do that too I think I have some 1500 kg high ql iron close to my forges, and some 150 items im "not all done with just yet" as the decay on merchants is very very slow. but they take up alot of space so I prefere the fountain containers. and the merchants may run off some day if I forget to say hi to them now and then, so id not risk drake and scale armors on those. I have played the game for a very long time, I have accumulated alot of stuff. If I have to spend time to maintain it, it stead of doing something fun ingame, Im not sure I can keep my interest in the game.

I guess I just don't understand why all the time and energy is going into "fixing" something that isn't broken in the first place. Fountain pans are not hurting anybody or anything. Why are we just now addressing the fact that there is an item in the game that came about due to a bug? They are legacy items that have been accepted in the game for years, so just leave them be. This is absurd.

With the recent (ninja) clay barrel change still in my memory I think of all the lost items people will complain about after devs "fix" this item that is not (stated by Retrograde) causing a bug, but are a result of a long time gone bug. Specially those that for some reason are on a break from Wurm, feeling safe, haveing left their items in their fountainpacks. That is a cruel way to handle costumers. The lost items were not fully compensated and wont be this time either. Letting current owners take the hit after years is like a collective punishment for what exploits others did years ago.

For all these modification I'm just going to tell you what to change in the server.jar file. You'll need to make the changes, compile the classes and finally use those classes to replace classes in the jar file. If this means the post don't qualify as mods feel free to move the post elsewhere. 1. Farm crops don't turn to weeds. in the server's Terraforming.class (com.wurmonline.server.behaviours) there is a method like: static boolean growFarm(Creature performer, int tile, int tilex, int tiley, boolean onSurface) Find this and change that 7 to 6. This will stop the code from advancing crop age beyond the last stage of ripe. if(tileAge < 7) { int crop = data & 15; Secondly, in the server's CropTilePoller.class (com.wurmonline.server.zones) there is a method like: public static void checkForFarmGrowth(int tile, int tilex, int tiley, byte type, byte aData, MeshIO currentMesh, boolean pollingSurface) fnd this and change that 7 to 6. This will stop the code from advancing crop age beyond the last stage of ripe. } else if(tileAge < 7) { if((tileAge == 5 || tileAge == 6) && Server.rand.nextInt(3) < 2) { return; } 2. Farm indoors. In the server's cropTilePoller.class (com.wurmonline.server.zones) and under the checkForFarmGrowth method is something that looks likes this: ++tileAge; VolaTile tempvtile1 = Zones.getOrCreateTile(tilex, tiley, pollingSurface); if(tempvtile1.getStructure() != null) { currentMesh.setTile(tilex, tiley, Tiles.encode(Tiles.decodeHeight(tile), Tile.TILE_DIRT.id, (byte)0)); Server.modifyFlagsByTileType(tilex, tiley, Tile.TILE_DIRT.id); } else { currentMesh.setTile(tilex, tiley, Tiles.encode(Tiles.decodeHeight(tile), Tile.TILE_FIELD.id, (byte)((tileAge << 4) + crop & 255))); Server.modifyFlagsByTileType(tilex, tiley, Tile.TILE_FIELD.id); if(logTilePolling) { logger.log(Level.INFO, "Changed the tile"); } } replace all that with the following to get rid of the code that turns tiles to dirt if they are in a structure. ++tileAge; currentMesh.setTile(tilex, tiley, Tiles.encode(Tiles.decodeHeight(tile), Tile.TILE_FIELD.id, (byte)((tileAge << 4) + crop & 255))); Server.modifyFlagsByTileType(tilex, tiley, Tile.TILE_FIELD.id); if(logTilePolling) { logger.log(Level.INFO, "Changed the tile"); } Secoundly, in the server's TileDirtBehviour.class (com.wurmonline.server.behaviours) and under the method Action are a few lines that I commented out. This is so you can do sow actions inside a building. //VolaTile vtile = Zones.getOrCreateTile(tilex, tiley, onSurface); //if(vtile != null && vtile.getStructure() != null) { // performer.getCommunicator().sendNormalServerMessage( // "The " + source.getName() + " would never grow inside."); // return true; //} 3. Buff farm yields in the server's Terraforming.class (com.wurmonline.server.behaviours) and under the harvest method is a line kinda like the one on top and what I changed is on the bottom: short bonusYield = (short)((int)((float)resource / div / 1.5F)); short bonusYield = (short)((int)((float)resource / div / 1.5F) + 2 ); This add 2 more crops to all outcomes. 4. Dry land rice. coming soon. 5. Adding more farmable crops. No estimates here, but i really want to do this so i'll figure it out eventually.

Sure thing Kianga And I'm so sorry about the earlier inconvenience. Final Update (I think): I finished the highway yesterday, just waiting for a GM to check it and give final approval. Thanks to Nye and Irte for the generous dirt donations!

One year ago today, the premium player number was 5400. Today it is 4600, i.e. a 15% loss.

I've never seen a problem with these items. I don't understand why everyone is up in arms about it now. Renaming them and changing magic chest size seems alright if something absolutely needs to be changed. I'd be mostly worried with the value of these items changing too much if some other drastic change was made. Seems unfair to those that have bought/own them, especially after how long the staff has let them remain in the game.

Title says it. Make it slightly weaker than a 2 handed as its a 1 handed.

I wasn't even aware of wurm in that time, and telling me that i had my chance is a bit stupid, people had also their chance to make these containers if started playing in the right time), and that's fine i don't wine about people having them and don't want them removed because they are op. If you read my post a bit better you could see that i said that veteran players deserved their perks over fresher players. I was just using that as an example that by the same logic it isn't unfair that some people own fountain packs and some don't.

If you want fairness give me Bag of Keeping, not my fault i wasn't playing the game when they were given. How about that? Your insistance on fairness is opening Pandora's box of simmilar situations. It's simple, you can't be equaly fair to everyone, compromiss here is just a deal whereone side looses for no reason an the other gets for again no logical reason(or even don't get anything if they are only removed and no simmilar new item introduced). People who played long enough to be there when bug was present earned right to them more than people who weren't, people who spent enourmous amount of silver/euro earned right to them and shouldn't affect people that didn't. If the item doesn't cause problem with code this whole debate and thread is ridicolous and there is no need for it, just leave things as they are. If you want to introduce new items that give functionality as fountain packs i won't ###### about them like people who don't own one ###### about mine, i don't care for it and even can support it. But leave my hard earned fountain pack alone or reimburse me in really appropiate manner(not just some partial silly reimbursment) and don't cut any corners from me in the name of fairness because i can tell you that isn't fairness.

I like the idea of creating a fountain pan equivalent that is sold on a trader for a reasonable price. Anyone owning a fountain pan can trade it for the item at no cost at a trader. Others who just want the storage option can purchase it at the trader. If you match the capacity then you are being fair to existing owners while providing the rest of us with the opportunity to also have similar capabilities. Seems like a Win-Win to me because you can also get rid of the exploit condition this way, you make existing owners happy and everyone else gets to purchase the item too. ~Nappy

Fixed - apparently this is a known issue with JavaFX on Windows 10 with devices using touchscreens. I fixed this by temporarily disabling my touchscreen. To do this, go to start, right click on "This PC" and choose properties. Choose device manager Find "Human Interface Devices" Find "HID Compliant touch screen", right click and disable.

They're looking to push people out of WO and toward WU, easiest way to do this is piss people off, or so goes my theory. Nothing else really makes sense in regards to making so many poor decisions as of late.
