Popular vote should never be used as a means to judge whether to apply bans. I don't support Yellow or his action. Although, an even worse offence would be to set a precedent where players can get others banned simply because many agreed on it.

So he is a priest that cast a spell in his spell list when he wanted to and you think he should be banned because it wasn't convenient for you? What has this game come to?

Many ppl know valrei, the god system, the missions and the fun things it comes with. There is however no guide on the forum, the wiki or any explanation in game about the valrei system. We use a 3rd party website ( http://strikelimit.co.uk/Valrei/index.php ) that works decent and thumps up to the dude that made it but it could use an explanation in the tutorial, the wiki, a forum guide and maybe the game (no clue how hard this is coz im not the smartest dude around). TBH, I also think it should be nerfed to be in line with the other 'big' spells. Take out the 0.1ML gain, or give the Mag and Lib ones a 0.1 BC gain, and the Fo one a 0.1 SD gain. As for preventing the drama... if the other spells gained the above benefits, and all benefits went to all followers on the server whether on or offline, then sure, that should stop the drama. Could include that only premium followers/priests who are offline gain from it. FTP have to be online. Though to be fair those characteristics are capped so fast for FTP, it likely wouldn't matter. Just so long as there's a check to prevent once premium accounts from gaining if they're currently out of prem assuming characteristics are over 20.

Or the inability to be the bigger man/be a grownup about the situation. I do nothing but troll and walk the grey line in this game, and have been in this situation many times, and -every- time, it was resolved by walking away. There is not really a point in riling people up, sorry to say, you just acted a fool and that document makes you seem desperate more than anything else.

Your point about it being a virtual item, so therefore it isn't real doesn't hold up. Just because something is intangible doesn't mean it is OK to steal. Think of intellectual property rights in 'real life' etc. Sure, it's just an idea/concept, but it's against the law to steal. (That is arguable more complex an idea than stealing a virtual item) Or stealing other digital goods, such as code for a game/program. Due to Wurm's 'real life' economy, i.e. euros for silver, items in Wurm have a very real value. If someone just spent 20 euro on 20 silver and you steal that 20 silver, well you've essentially just stolen 20 euros from someone. (Sure, you have to 'RWT' to extract the value back into euros, but you've gained a monetary sum within the game even without doing so. Another way to look at it is from a time spent / work done / value added aspect. If someone spends an hour chopping logs and you steal said logs, you've stolen an hours worth of time/effort from them, no different to in the 'real world'. Steal 5 silver, an hours time spent, whatever, it affects you just like losing something in 'real life'.

I still see people complaining about mob count on Xana... Please Rolf, for the love of yourself, do not drop any more mobs in my backyard! Simple suggestion based on experiences with new Wurm players - how about making "xyz moves in to attack you." event in combat log appear in different color to make combat start with more than 1 creature at the same time more noticeable?

If I die from a heart attack sitting in my chair playing Wurm and my deed is not set to democracy, if my country has an EMP blast and internet is out for years, if I slowly start playing a different game more and more and quit coming to wurm... I want to be able to set a Vice-Mayor who can depose me if I have not been online for 1 month so the deed and villagers are still good to go. You don't have to put a name in the Vice slot so it is not something that could be abused - but optional. Thoughts?

Let me explain why my comparison is accurate. It's only a game. Just as YOU said. If you say that to yourself enough maybe you will realize that. If the spell was available and you wanted to get some benefit from it why didn't you try and organize something yourself? Oh yeah, I forgot, that would take effort. All I see are a bunch of people complaining that they did not organize something themselves and now they are mad because they missed out when someone else had the will to do so. Next time it comes around put something together so the spell works the way you think it should. You have a month or two to organize. Get cracking.

No matter how you cut it this will always be a grey area. Okay, not really. There is no grey area. I've run across loot on mountain sides where someone probably fell and couldn't find their dead body, in the water where someone probably drowned and couldn't find their dead body, in the middle of no where, same deal. Always well decayed. I never bothered to try and find the owner. I've lost things the same way. Never worried if someone ever found my things and kept them. It's part of the game. Same thing if I abandon a deed. I've left gnomes, ore, lumps and all sorts of other stuff. I've always felt if someone wants it they are welcome to it. I abandoned the deed, left the stuff open because I really didn't want it. I don't see how it's any different with anyone who abandons a deed and whatever junk they leave behind. It's obvious they don't want it. It's been abandoned. I really don't see what the problem is here. However, if you have to pick locks, break walls and fences, bust things up to get to something, then obviously someone did care if someone took their stuff, abandoned deed or not. Lock it or lose it, right?

...this has got to be some sort of inside joke. Banning some priest for making a perfectly legal cast of some spell...because "some people" don't receive the benefit? Pffft. If it bugs you that much...make the effort to roll your own priest and suit yourself.

You do realize that for certain timezones, it's rarely easy to be there for the scheduled "community" ros which always favor east-coast and european timezone? I guess there is no compassion for the people outside the "community" timezone because they aren't apparently part of the "community". It's pretty sad that now that some people feel how it is to be excluded from the ros, their only reaction is for a lynch mob instead of asking rolf to fix the whole thing to make it more equitable for the whole server playerbase. I will profit from Ritual of the Sun, no matter if i am present online or not, same with the Fo global, why not change the Vynora's one not to exclude so many people?

To my horror, there still was no name and shame rule in play! These 3 implementations should do the trick: Alter Firepillar (and all form of aoe fields really) so dispels only dispell one tile. Boost speed in chain by 20%. (atm on lawn its 9.5km/h and 12.6km/h in cloth... So what im saying is make chain move almost at the same speed as cloth) Give a passive increase in gem finding chance from mining by 100%. I'm very sceptical to giving mag further magical firepower considering they already have their 25% physical damage boost, which is great. But boosting firepillars dmg by 10-15% could work i suppose. Also Rolf keep in mind that a lot of individual ideas are given out by players in this thread. Players may suggest certain things that ALONE would be good enough to make mag on par with other priests. Don't do the mistake by adding a ton of random things you find in the thread without heavy consideration. Mag doesn't need a massive overhaul, just some slight adjustments. Also once you think you are happy with which things to change... Please post them and give it a few days of feedback before implementation.

+1 to some sort of OPTIONAL redundancy system, for those times where the mayor just stops playing, and others would like to continue things, beyond just keeping the coffers topped up.
