    Basically, what it says. You load crates filled with items put it on this type of merchant, set the price for them, and buyer comes along with the necessary amount of space in their cart,wagon, or ship you pay the fee and load the crate into it. If close enough to water, into a ship. I mean hell you could even load it with bulk goods, and pay a flat rate depending on how many objects you drag into an existing container or your inventory. That means you can even just bring your own crates. Or I suppose Wurm could expand the functionality of existing merchants to include this ability. Though it would be kinda cool if you could buy a stall that looks like this:

    Please! It would be one step closer to having buildings and walls in mines and also would make fixing mines easy p-z. Activate pick scroll over border and see what slope it is

    If i'm reading this right, you're telling me SOTG is the only way a noob can compete with a veteran player? I think there might be a massive oversight here and that is.... You don't realize the veteran player was grinding meditation too. You're back at square one, when they both have SOTG, the only difference is, that veteran player now is 2x harder to kill, and so is everyone else to those that don't have SOTG. Might want to look over your post again All the permanent buffs are ridiculous, but nothing is as ridiculous as SOTG. To put it in another way, what you are basically saying, in an RL analogy as close as i can get is "Why should we get rid of this extremist group? We will want to get rid of the other extremist group after that and then we will have no extremist groups and be back right where we are now." All the permanent buffs are ridiculous like i stated but if we had to keep them, SOTG needs to be nerfed to the ground. lvl 7 hate needs to be nerfed to the ground, SOTL needs to be slightly decreased, it will not and never has made much of a difference anyway and the PoL needs more downsides in PvP. To put it simply, this is the current state of PvP Joebob, 70 overall body vs Jimbob, 50 overall body. Both of them are using the Sceptre of Ascension Jimbob has SOTG Both of them are in drake. Joebob dies in two hits. Jimbob dies in four. Lets also take a step back and look at how much of a blow this actually is. Jimbob knows he can take four hits, Joebob knows he can take two hits. But heres the thing, Joebob, once he gets hit, hes done. Hes at hurting status, theres a penalty to his movement, theres a penalty to his dodge and block chance. That doesn't matter for Jimbob, because even if Joebob hits him, he can take three more hits. Joebob was so disadvantaged at the start, and even moreso after he got hit, that whats the point in even attempting that without SOTG? Especially now that we know after he gets hurting, hes essentially screwed, plus i mean straight up looking at it tells you its gonna be way easier to get two hits off on Joebob than it will be to get four hits off on Jimbob. It's just another requirement, and people will never ever want it to be nerfed because people are selfish, and they are selfish in the desire that they do wish to see themselves progress moreso than seeing a fun environment emerge that is consistent in balance, fair, and encourages people to join. People will argue that balance is too much work, because people will want other PROBLEMS fixed, that were created in the first place due to the lack of a PLANNED and TESTED system of implementation. They don't see those problems as issues now, because there is a much bigger problem on the table, however, that problem benefits the majority of the playerbase, so why the hell would they want it fixed? And if you propose fixing it, they will complain about the work youd need to do to fix everything else. Its not fair, because players like Joebob will be screwed over repeatedly until they get it, at that point, Joebob has put in so much effort into getting it, that he doesn't want to lose it. But lets not forget, Joebob started playing with the Bob family, lets say his four brothers. Too bad the four brothers quit because they didn't want to be forced to grind an absolutely ass-backwards skill that does nothing but propel you forwards the easy way (and by easy, i mean the people that could normally take the beating you could with SOTG/Champ are like 1 in 15 people, now that thats there, you have those 1 in 15 with it, and 10 others with it too.) I oh so enjoy a lack of balance when i play. It doesn't encourage people to join because they are forced to take a route everyone else takes, because there is no incentive or purpose to anything else. Its a sandbox, you shouldn't be forced to do jack ######. You shouldn't be forced to have SOTG. You shouldn't be forced to have valrei titles. You shouldn't be forced to make dirtwalls. You shouldn't be forced to make longhouses. You shouldn't be forced to make single, double, or triple collapse mine entrances into your deed. You shouldn't need 12-18 hours to raid a deed, and you most most most certainly shouldnt need a year and a half of work to be viable in a fight where you aren't at even odds. This game won't progress when people constantly put selfish want for individual progress to feel a sense of victory where there is none to be had in the game, and before you go "Oh propheteer, what a hypocrite, you abused exploits X, Y, and Z." Yeah sure, ill admit to that, but only when you admit that 90% of the people here usually only go out of their way to post in suggestions and increase visbility of them because it benefits them, rather than the game. The PvP in this game is flawed because of years of what i posted above, and because of a lack of priority and order in the way the developers release things. Not to mention the fact that Rolf has constantly changed things that have very BLATANTLY gave an advantage a select group or an individual player(s) because Joebim or some other fellow lost his scale set by falling in a pit. My opinion doesn't matter and I highly doubt this thread will have any impact on that discussion whatsoever as proved in the past multiple times and all I can do is hope that when I get more time to play, that by that point, there isn't some other ridiculous thing in the game like "Seryll Titles" that give you 20% damage reduction a title. TL;DR meditation sucks, remove it or rework it entirely, its done nothing but hurt the PvP side game, just like the so called "Fight-Fix", and just like Valrei Items and artifacts and the new catapulting system with double story, minedoors, horses, yada yada.

    Calendar almost ready and in final stages of work. The delay occurred because I have had unexpected RL events happen in the last few weeks that put it on hold temporally. Also, since some of the submissions came from outside Celebration (as I expanded the entry criteria) it will now be known as Girls of Wurm 2015 Calendar. See you soon!

    right now the amount of dye items need makes no sense for example a sailboat needs 5,4kgs of dye a large cart 25kgs and a bulk storage bin 128kg, and most items people wants to dye depends on an item that was never meant to exist (the fountain containers). so there is no doubt that it could be much better,and i think now that wood textures are going away would be a good time to rethink the amount of dye items need maybe even allow painting directly from containers using the crafting gui or something.that would solve the problem not having containers that are meant to paint big objects.

    The questions are made irrelevant by the fact that this game lacks entertainment. That alone is the reason that we have so few players. If this game was designed properly, There would be an overflow of players regardless of the difficulty level. And the economy would would also boost from it. This is the reason that you can go to any forum anywhere, That has former wurm players in it. And they will refer to this game as Workonline. It's just not designed to be fun.

    Metal crate would be made with 4 sheets(of any type of metal, color will depend on what it's made out of), 8 rivets and a metal band. I would have 25% more capacity, and take up 25% more space than a normal wooden crate. It also takes less decay damage than a wooden crate. Perhaps also the ability to lock it like a BSB when it's on the ground.

    Battlepaw, improving combat in this game would be the best thing that could ever happen to Wurm. It is honestly the only reason I have never tried to PvP here. I don't mind one bit having my butt handed to me. I just want a bit more control and a bit less (obvious because it is all really this) RNG. I guess though that I am spoiled by a long time of multiplayer gaming starting when multiplayer gaming was scrolling text that went by faster than anything I have ever seen here (which is not a criticism because here I haven't seen 50 people scrolling on my screen so I am sure it's possible) and trying to time a /slash commands into it. It got slightly better when ANSI painted a real world to it. :-P I have literally gone from to what we have today. This was multiplayer, btw. We passed it around. I have pretty much played it all. LOL

    Yet again, I have no clue what you are talking about/where you are coming from. SoTG does nothing to reduce healing except for natural regeneration. And I really have no idea what you mean by testing, you can't counter gone by being a priest because people with gone can easily be just as good a priest as you. That literally does nothing to counter gone, that is simply pvp as normal. Unless of course you think that needing to have 2 people without gone to fight 1 with it is an acceptable counter. I really doubt someone can stunlock someone enough to back off with hurting status on foot and refresh unless they get an extremely long stun. And even then, someone with gone will have a much higher stamina pool available if they were doing ~ the same amount of damage. And in a group situation, the person with gone can easily be refreshed by someone else. If anything seeing that I would have to log in daily for a year to become even close to able to compete vs older players would put me off the game. Gone effectively doubles your armor, doubles the dr from valrei items, your blocking, etc. Artifacts can be lost at any time, If you go out and die with it, your enemy can easily pick it up and use it against you. The more powerful ones also have downsides, the orb can backfire, the weapons have long swing timers, are 2h, don't have nimbleness etc. They aren't really much better than weapons people can craft.(they used to be much worse) Wurm already requires a huge investment of time to become competitive, gone just adds to that. That is one of the worst things about wurm for a lot of new players, and one of the main reasons for low player retention.

    Come join Chaos guys. We were, are and will be there waiting for friendly new people to join and for despicable enemies. It doesn't matter if you are Mol Rehan, Jenn Kellon or Black Legion. Just be at the best pvp server wurm has to offer

    Bad idea if there was ever one. GG Ayes. Separate logins would solve nothing as far as current PvP vs PvE issues (specially since most aren't linked to who plays where, or servers crashing because of one or another -which would be the only reason why you'd want separate logins) but would actually exacerbate one of the issues which is excessive (at times) focus from devs on the PvP front at expenses of the PvE one. This would simply create the need of more dev time on the creation and maintenance of a separate server, also would create issues like what Hordren said, and add another server to CC's expense bill.

    Port Benden as a village name has had a few iterations in Chaos and Celebration but we decided we wanted to find an Island where we could establish a village without boundaries and where we wouldn't bump in to other players. We chose to found this in South East Celebration and named the Island 'Awesome Isle", thus New Port Benden was founded on 11th February 2014. Since that time we have been busy building a secure and protected central village area with everything you could possibly want or need, and then leave the rest of the island largely free to nature for villagers to do whatever takes their interest. We are now looking to invite a small number of new villagers to share in our Island paradise. You don't need any special skills or experience to join us since between us we have virtually every major skill going to a very high level. All we ask is that you fully respect the rules of the game including your fellow villagers and contribute to the New Port Benden alliance which includes many villages around Celebration.     This is not with whatever option has all of the other animal noises, I only have combat and cache decoded sounds enabled and it is driving me nuts like the hell horse fire sound did when it was decided to be put in emotes and I had to disable that one too, please move it

    People misunderstand difficult. It should be made difficult, but it should be made difficult in a way that isn't completely unintuitive. Look at catapulting, for example. Catapulting at its core is easy, however, its difficult because you have to get carpal tunnel to get anything done because for one shot, you have to click about 20 times. Now look at loading a wagon from a BSB. Its difficult, because you have to drag about 30 times per crate. But it should be easy. The difficulty should not come from being unintuitive, it should come from depth of the game. People don't realize that.

    And contain a clipboard, a pencil, 4 bullets and a burnt book. I think it would be better if it held 500 units and was sized accordingly. Prices for bulk goods in 1000s and storage in 300s is a pita sometimes.

    how about, the art team draft up a selection of "emblems", maybe like start off at 10-20 different emblems, that players can craft in-game.... then those items can be attached to boats, much like a lock, or anchor, only it adds that emblem to a default location. that emblem can also be placed on wagons, carts, doors, double doors? the emblem can be made out of leather or cotton, and also require rope or something to attach it to said things such as wagons, carts, doors, double doors, boats? these default locations would be multiple spots on boats? such as the sails? or the side of the boat? carts, would be on both sides? wagons, both sides? doors, on the front and back of the door? ofcourse, if its like a lock on doors, it wont be able to be removed unless its replaced with another emblem? the mechanics are there, i think? i mean, the way it attachs mechanic is there, but i dont know about adding another spot as an attachment onto an already crafted item to show a design mechanic would work for wurm. GOGO good idea!!?!

    Hello Holiday Wurmians! We have enjoyed a lot of changes to Wurm Online from the development team in the last year, and while the holidays are usually a time for festive activities, we have also had to endure some antics on behalf of a few specific individuals who have been very very naughty. We enjoy a great latitude of freedom in the abilities and creativity that can be achieved in the world of Wurm Online, but with that freedom, sometimes comes unintended results and situations where such an open system gets used against itself. This is not a failure of the system, but a choice made by individuals who actively work towards the harm of the game and its members. This is where the Game Masters come into action. We not only mediate the rules and apply them to all situations evenly in order to help with minor in-game issues that sometimes arise, we handle and judge the situations where the rules and even the game mechanics are used in a negative manner against our members. It is a fact of life that in any social environment there will be complications and mischievous behavior, however, sometimes someone comes along and crosses the line from bad social behavior to game breaking behavior. Recently, there have been a few individuals who have been abusing the mechanics of Wurm Online in ways that are clearly not intended on PVE servers. I am referring to the blatant stealing and theft of deeds and items from the resident citizens of the deeds. The mechanics that made this possible have very important functions in the lives of the citizens of those deeds, yet a few people have decided to use those same mechanics as a means of conducting PVP style raids on PVE servers and steal deeds and or items they should not have. This is covered by the rules. Cheating Definition: * Obvious abuse of any exploit, bug or other method of gaining skill/items that is not as intended. (macros are covered by the rule above) These situations clearly fall under this rule. We have reviewed a lot of information concerning these recent matters and have established a pattern of repeated abuses perpetrated by these individuals. After some consultation between the GM team and Code Club AB we have decided to remove these offenders from Wurm Online. Happy Holidays, Wurm Online Team

    It wasn't really meant to be a thread about sandbox games. I don't think I even used the word "sandbox". Obviously Ultima Online has been around a long time and does a good job at defining the sandbox genre. It's about games that are kinda ... well, more Wurm-like. Which is precisely why I made up the title I used. Not because I think Wurm somehow "invented sandbox" and therefore all sandbox games are imitations of Wurm. Personally I am not into spacebattle sandbox games or futuristic zombie apocalypse sandbox games or shooter PvP games or sidescrolling Terraria style games. Or even imaginative RPG games like Elona. These are all just games that are kind of .. clones .. of ... Wurm. And even that is intended somewhat tongue in cheek because there are probably some out longer than Wurm and therefore "clone" is kind of meant as a joke. How about -- "Games similar to Wurm." Happier? (No I didn't think so )
