Hi Deliverance! Today I want to share with you my "little" place in the southeast: Fort Allery. It's a member of the Serendipity Alliance, which has been around for some years now, taking care of Serendipity Peninsula. The deed is located on top of a mountain, encased between cliffs and a peat field. For the last year, I've been working hard to convert it in a real fort... some people say it's in fact a fortress. Tough walls, steep slopes and an amazing view are Fort Allery's signature. Here are some pictures: The deed is divided between the fort itself and a farming area built in the mountainside, where you can watch the open sea between Deliverance and Xanadu while doing your farming chores: When you enter the fort, you are always surrounded by its walls and towers. However there's plenty of room so claustrophobia is not an issue! After going up a little more, you can find the 3 lateral terraces. One of them is currently unoccupied, but the other two are prepared to house a lot of animals. In the northern terrace, the soldiers of Fort Allery bravely stand guard against any danger threatening the Serendipity Peninsula from the North: Of course, no fort could be a real fort without its catacombs. The entrance is well defended, but only true worshippers of Magranon are safe underground. Rumours say the cult of Magranon has an underground temple devoted to the god of the rock. But... the top tier awaits us. Inside the inner walls we can find the residence of the lord of Fort Allery along with the smithy, the cloth workshop and the Chapel of Vynora. There's even a small park designed by the famous wurmian Yaga, where the lord and the citizens can enjoy a break in their busy days. The lord's residence has an observation tower, converted into an Astronomy Tower where Yaga likes to perform his investigations about our solar system. He will come every few days from his deeds in the south to make his science. Fort Allery has a harbour down the cliff. A road was made to reach sea level, a wonder of wurmian engineering called Tantalus Road, because the workers swear as they were getting lower, the sea seemed to keep moving away from them. Months later, a second road was made, however, it's not safe for walking and can only be used while riding. Some people like to slide down from the top, even if it's dangerous... and so it was called "The Slide of the Gods". And this is the story of Fort Allery. <RP mode off> It has been very difficult to accomplish this. Sometimes I thought I would never end... but here we are! The deed is amazing, but it's quite big, even if the upkeep is not very high. I've had a lot of support from my allies. If you are nearby, come and check the wonderful view (but if you do, be careful! don't fall from the towers!). Deed can be found in N21. I want to make clear, I'm not looking to sell it, but of course, given a nice amount of money... we can talk about it XD I don't believe anyone would want to pay what it's worth, so... well, I just want to clarify I won't sell it for 50s...

The tunnel I made, is a heritage site, and must remain open to public Thought I'd toss that in so people don't get in trouble for modifying it. It is currently closed, not because of the Owner, but because the GMs havent deleted the door just yet. It will happen soon :-)

The problem with that is that it will even further split the community. If people want to play their way, I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is when we split this tiny community thinner and thinner and thinner by adding new servers and clusters. I don't play on Freedom, but if I did, I would want servers to be closed because the community is spread so thinly. I feel this way about Epic with the home servers. People have come to accept the low/fluctuating server populations as normal and acceptable, but it really is quite sad. Look at server population, especially on Epic. It's depressing. Freedom does still have spar/duel, although those are horribly broken...

You wont be able to build over lava tiles, I only enabled it to see what would happen.

RoS used to be cast on weekends, but this time only was an exception, since Impalong starts Saturday, and most people will be there over the weekend. And many of them will put the sleep bonus they got to good use I'm sorry for those who missed it, but to compensate, in a way, Release is planning a RoS for the next week, if I'm not wrong, maybe that will help

Horse speed traits turn on/off, they are not constant. The older an animal is, the longer their traits are active.

When you go outside IRL and your mind is just projecting Wurm graphics on the real world... Suddenly the trees, and larger rocks on the ground, look just like in Wurm. Asphalt looks like stone slabs, and wooden boxes around construction sites look just like crates...

I can only repeat what I already told you several times, Master Glomby: Fort Allery is awesome, definitely one of the most impressive deeds in all of Wurm! And - to repeat myself once again: You must NEVER, NEVER sell it! Don't even think about it, mate!

Oh this could be glorious. I hope it is a skill like Climbing. Or combine into Athletics, some ideas: Kelp beds spread much much more than now and spawn their own unique "forage/botanize" items but you have to dive for them and resurface for air. Items found may include barnacles, kelp, seaweed, starfish, mussels, clam, oyster (chance for PEARL inside), plus of course the chance for a rare coin. also "pretty shells" that players can collect and keep in special collector cases.Playermade treasure chests & pirate maps can also be used to spark player-organized treasure scavenger hunt game (I think it is Dark Malice who used to hold these on land, with some very generous prizes for those who followed the clues). Use ink and papyrus to make a treasure map that gives off readings are you get hot-or-cold (use: 15 second timer, then works similar to Locate Corpse but for its assigned treasure. ahead a long way, behind a short distance, etc),. Some chests will randomly spawn a guardian creature once planted. Sunken Ships -- ships that decay and sink underwater are more likely to lose any attached locks and anchors (they rust or get eroded by barnacles). New players can try to salvage these and use them although they cannot add locks or cross server borders and someone else can always try to grab them away if not secured somehow. Dolphins should be friendly and curious, and follow swimmers, and chase off sharks if they aggro on a swimmer. Crabs should mostly walk on the bottom of sea beds. Seals and turtles should try to head for water. Whales should produce a lot of maet + fat or even Blubber that can be cooked into a stew or use to light personal lights, There should be little fishies that glow and make it a beautiful, magical experience, especially if you are diving at nighttime. These can be some sort of special particle effect and not actual creatures, similar to the fish and birds we can see now. Or like the fireflies we can see at night. Colored hazy lights that drift around. A Sea Prayer that has a minuscule chance to change wind force and direction. Must be done on a boat by any priest or follower but it takes a long while to pray and 99% of the time there is no response. Pelicans. Because. you can make a garden aquarium if you collect shells + sea glass + kelp + driftwood

Making them peaceful does not remove the challenge from the game. If you want a challenge, go fight one. What it does is provide players with choices. Making a game that appeals to a great diversity of players types is far smarter then imposing personal ideas, like "the game is better with danger", on all players alike. I been playing Wurm for 6 or 7 years, have hundreds of hours of play time. Some of my best experiences where actually back on JKH and early indy when monster spawning was very insignificant. It was very fun to play wurm and not have to worry about dumb mobs. Wurm is better when you can choose. Freedom to craft and alter your environment is what makes Wurm great. Unfortunately Wurm only listens to players who think its ok to impose their ideas on others.

When you guys are done sitting on your shoulders, please point out to me where the OP or I stated anything about Chaos/Epic/Challenge. I (and the OP as best as I can read it) was talking bout how PvP can coexist in a PvE environment. Not everything in this game revolves around you and your little wars. Keep telling yourself that it's all just a carebear conspiracy and that it isn't the confrontational attitude you guys spill all over the forums.

I have visited your Villages on Pristine as well as this one on Xanadu while wandering around on my alt. They all impressed me as very well designed and pleasant to stroll around on. The Harbor deed on Pristine was especially nice and an excellent example of what a waterfront Harbor deed could be. Unfortunately both Stellar Gardens and the waterfront Harbor deed are both destroyed now and replaced with some things else, not nearly up to your wonderful designs. Hopefully this newest Stellar Garden deed will not meet the same fate. You do seem to build them and then move on after not so long a time. A restless spirit perhaps? On to creating the next is the attraction? Safe Travels =Ayes=

When will the issues with /playtime be fixed. My annual account is currently sitting at 7 months consecutive time which is obviously in error since he has been premium for well over a year and I noticed the fact that I was getting my reward later than everyone from the beginning. If the timer was reset for everyone last December why are the rewards not basically happening at the same time for all the player that have had full paid subscriptions from that time to current? In a related issue, will there ever be a method to decide where you receive your loyalty rewards. I play both epic and freedom and it's a toss up where I get my monthly reward. I never know when the reward will show up. Granted who care about yellow potions they do nothing. but a spyglass there is a significant reason for wanting it to show up on one side or another and under the current mechanic no way to do so. This goes for any "real" future item that has value and obviously is further complicated by the incoming challenge server.

Thanks for the update but ... when your character equipps a hat (any kind of hat, not just the new ones), the toon's hair disappear, basically it becomes bald, and it looks kinda stange, especially on female toons can you fix this pls?
