    Before I add the damaged/decayed Tall stone wall I want to share it with you. If you have any problems with it (mainly pvp players I presume) let me know. (removed old image) The model swap to damaged model kicks in when the damage are 60 or more! (same as house walls)!

    Simple suggestion to make PMK leaders life a bit easier I think. There could be issues with the title for base kingdoms however, but this would be an added benefit of PMK's. Simple role Title: Immigration Officer Number of positions: 2-3 (Allows multiple appointments) Role ability: Similar to a Player made Kingdom leaders ability to remove a player, this role will allow the player to expel a player with the same mechanism. Another change I would like is the ability to expel players from a PMK even if they aren't on the same server/cluster but unsure if that will be possible.

    Wrong! This reason is why Crafters who sell their items to other players are wanting a fresh start on new servers, those who actively pursue this anyway. To then further nerf the mailing system as you suggest to benefit this minor portion of the player base giving them preferential treatment to the inconvenience of the rest of the player base is a rather arrogant suggestion. Players will purchase their items from the crafters who they prefer to purchase them from. To try to structure the mailing system to deny others from having this option would be a blatant attempt to control the market in this manner by reducing the possibility that others would purchase items from either their preferred crafter or purely for the lowest price available, due to the inconvenience imposed by extended travel time because of your suggestion on further mailbox restrictions. As the mailbox system is structured at present with restrictions on mailing certain items this actually has a negative effect on crafters because it reduces their market for both selling and imping items. Even on Independence there is no way I will adjust my schedule to meet the crafter at a certain time and then travel one hour or more just to have them improve my 2 handed sword, whereas before the mailbox nerf I was just able to mail it to them to improve it. Also there are certain items I would like to purchase from other crafters per their ad on the forums that I can not purchase without traveling to their other server because these items can't be mailed. My solution then is to not buy them, which in turn reduces their market for them and makes crafting not as profitable for crafters. Also, there are certain players that I would never purchase any items from or use their imping services even if their perimeter were right next to my own. So your suggestion of short travel distances being any sort of solution to contribute to a controlled local market monopoly is even flawed in this respect. I see no "grand compromise" with what you have presented here, nor one of any sort really. This is just a rather thinly veiled attempt to monopolize the crafting market in certain local areas due to the inconvenience of having to travel extended distances otherwise. While it is true that Xanadu would suit this purpose perfectly, it doesn't in turn justify this attempt to restrict the market for goods that would otherwise be available for players to choose according to price structure and their preferred crafter located in other more distant points and servers. Your post here only brings to the forefront the inadequacies of the current mailing system and how it needs to be reworked to enable the mailing of all crafted items to broaden their market by making the selling and imping of them available to all of the player base without needing to spend excessive travel times just for this purpose. Dev's please fix the mailing system to benefit the player base as a whole rather than the select few in a reduced market as this individual would suggest for their own benefit. =Ayes=

    Frankly if you keep the mailing system as is you might as well have an Auction house ala WoW. Global, instant and completely immersion breaking in Wurm. Don't get me wrong the convenience is nice, but the down side is it torpedo's any market or localized skill set. Now with the mail system the servers never need more than a half dozen of any trade and anything that isn't 20QL less than server max is garbage and can't be sold. With no mail system a server needs a specialty crafter every 30 minutes of travel time in all directions. This forces people to get to know each other and may enable goods to have values based on demand that include real transport costs. We get more crafters, farmers and ranchers if the change is made and I think it would be a step in the right direction. When was wurm about anything other than the sense of pride you have when you make something just the way you want it. It was harder than it is now, I'd love for people to have the sense that a ql 50 item always has worth and 70 in the local market is the guy you need to trade with. Further people could play as importers and ship goods around. Imping/repairing would become a valued profession now. The idea that localized markets aren't a good thing is ludicrous. It would recreate the need to have a market deed and make them viable. With mail there's no need to go to the local market to see what's there and to see what need is unmet that you could fulfill if you had the inclination.

    And again...refund of 30% of premium time for all premium accounts as some of us have multiples seems reasonable. This is terrible. I have no internet issues. I never had these issues on the old server. This is clearly a problem with the new server. Please fix the random kicks. . . . 1 hour later still can't login

    Your dealing with two different issues here. In real life there is no rule (law) that gives you the right to do so, so at that point you do it at your own risk and if someone sells it, the new owners have right to take ownership. In Wurm, there is a Rule (law) that allows us to do this very thing. Thus we are protected from it being sold and claimed. Regardless of if it is how it was intended, it is the fault of the rule makers for not having it clear. Those that followed the rules should not be punished for doing so.

    Although I think the winner take all crafter style is an issue for encouraging casual/middle skill players to continue playing, I don't think simply eliminating the mailing system or reducing it's efficiency is the answer. Also the power = range thing goes right back to your original issue of the richest players getting the most benefit. If we want to replace the mailing system, we'd need to empower players to work together in the delivery/transport of goods. I'd put my vote behind a contract system with escrow involved. Probably delivering to/from an object/structure which specializes in creating these contracts. It would also open up the profession of mailman which has been tried occasionally by players (but with limited applications due to how simple the mailing system is already). Without additional hard coded support, removing/gimping mailboxes would hurt player experience more than it would benefit anyone in my eyes. Also shouldn't this be in the suggestions forum?

    heres a solution. leave it all alone. start paying your gm's. if you fancy yourself going aaa,well,those companies pay their gm's. guides,assistants,dont do much. continue playing while policing chat. but your gm's actually do work. stop what theyre doing to address issues. in everquest,a gm gets paid. they have to pay for their own sub time,but thats nothing compared to the check. you should atleast be giving full gm's free monthly premium,and maybe even a free deed up to a certain size. this requires no coding,and keeps everyone happy except a few whiners that are malcontents anyways. the gm's do actual work for you. pay them.

    I was just wondering who's in-charge of staff members and volunteers. I've come across several volunteer's, and I'm not sure if they're trained or not, but several of them have attitudes that need adjusting, and just because they're staff, makes them egotistical, and know-it-alls. Even some of the higher-ups (not saying any names), but some of them have rudely spoken to me.

    Sorry but i agree with Jainy. It wasn't your tunnel. You didnt work on it. They did, they get to choose the name. Should be it. All I see are people whining about the name rather than accepting that some one made the tunnel and did all the work so that you could have faster access around the map. JUST BE HAPPY HE GAVE YOU A CHANCE, instead of just going "Im going to name it G.U.M.B.O." Edit: I put up a name for it, I didn't win. Yes I am a little disappointed that it wasn't a name that was very creative, but I respect their decision since they are the ones who made the tunnel.

    It was a mistake that got me and a bunch of my friends playing Wurm for the first time. If the new servers weren't released then I would never have played, fresh starts like these are attractive to new people because there is more value in what they can do. You don't need to resort to petty insults to attempt to prove your point, please. I've been reading a lot of comments that basically state that new players can achieve value on an old server just as much as on a new server and I just can't agree with this point at all. When P&R was released I remember selling tons of boats, made enough to invest in a nice deed on Pristine and eventually moved to Release and bought a bunch of traders. If I didn't have that initial feeling of value I'm absolutely positive I would have quit Wurm. It's now over a year later and I'm still around still plugging away at my skills and having fun, so the new servers got me into Wurm and I'm still here because I really like the game. I'm sure there are more examples like myself, I doubt I'm the only brand new player who started when P&R was released and stuck around. If you can't understand why a new server with new accounts will attract new players and increase retention because the new players feel valued then I don't know what to say. If you are complaining because some of your friends moved to P&R and barely play on the old server anymore then understand that those players were bored already and if P&R didn't come out they probably would have quit or at least taken a long break. Be happy that P&R kept them around. If your going to quit Wurm because you feel mistreated by them releasing new servers that only allow fresh accounts then, I'm sorry but you were probably going to quit anyways when the stagnation set in. Games always lose players, doesn't matter if they release new servers or not, this is just the way mmo's in general work. If new servers increase income and add to the playerbase then I really don't see that as a negative thing at all.

    This game is based on our skills, Why would I ever consent to losing all my work, Or even my gear, Just to move to another server? I don't care what they do to traders as long as they serve a better purpose than they have now. If it comes to me being forced to move without my skills, Then I'm done. The only logical solution to this is to make it possible to sail there from both server clusters. I also welcome anyone from anywhere to bring all the money and gear with them that they want. Because no matter how rich they are. I still have to spend my time on the job to get my skills high. And I'm not about to begrudge them their hard work, Just so i can feel important too.

    We have a community divided on two clusters now and there is constant arguing about everything between the two so why are you trying to push for a third? They need to bring them together by joining the two on this new map and let the players pick where they want to go if that is Pristine then fine if that is Independence fine if everyone wants to go to the new server well it is big enough so that is fine too. Stop trying to push your wanting to "start fresh" on the rest of the playerbase. If you want to start fresh then make a new character when the server launches nothing is stopping you. We for sure don't need yet another thing to argue over with a third PvE cluster.

    Right. So instead of having a chat with this one individual causing the problem, the rest of the class is being punished along with them. That didn't work in kindergarten, and it doesn't work here in real life, either. If one individual is causing such an uproar, the solution isn't to change the rules or punish the class, it's to resolve the issue with that one causing the problem. Ask nicely for them to stop causing problems. If they refuse, ban them and free up the land. Problem solved. And it would have saved a going on 30 page thread.

In fact it makes me sick to my stomach. I'm so sick of that particular argument - made by the same people sitting at home collecting welfare checks while I work my ass off each week to pay for their cable TV. Bottom line in my book... if you want a Trader, BUY one. If you don't, then don't. Either way, stop whining about it. You want something? Then invest in it - work for it. What exactly entitles you to get the same benefit as someone who DID take a risk and invest when you didn't? Answer? Nothing. Stop your whining and either pony up the 50s and learn how to use them or DON'T. I've never argued it's not a broken system. It is broken. If Rolf and team wants to fix it - then they can fix it... AND I'll live with it. What I cannot tolerate however is the continuous whining from people that don't have Traders thinking they're automatically entitled to the same money that others took time and probably real money to invest in. So the argument is that it's not fair? Guess what - LIFE isn't fair. Get over it. There's my 2 cents.

    Mailboxes don't need removal, they need to be fixed so that you can actually send things. -1 for this suggestion on Xanadu or anywhere else.

    He is just fine for paying it himself, HOWEVER, it would of course be nicer if it wasn't out of his own pocket. He is saying he will do it if need be. It's amazing that you think this is some sort of scam. That is just flat out wrong.

    Honestly, I have a crappy char, but somewhat developed it for almost 2 years, and have just one skill above 90, some 70´s and couple of 50´s too, close to get my 5 queue, enough strength to carry some, able to plan/make nice big houses several floors, so why should I go to a place where I need to start even with some random newcomer with 0 gaming time while he/she will probably get better skills than me just because he can play 6 hours more per day than me?

    this thread is going to make me hit my Like cap for once. . . They screwed up once, don't screw it up again. Connect it to the main freedom servers, or at the very least, somehow connect it to all of them and allow us to keep are existing characters. If you notice, the "new players" on pristine that all have very good skills, for the majority....aren't new. It's Old vets taking advantage of new players, and getting very high skills putting these new players back in the same spot. but these "new players" don't realize it because they were all on new accounts. Doesn't change a thing though when the vets know so many tricks to put them ahead of the pack. (especially with how many moved there)

    I quite liked the immersion when I first started playing Wurm and it was a huge unknown world; whilst the map wasn't that big because it took a long time to get around it seemed so much larger and even after a year much of it was unkown and untouched - now you can zip around from one side of the server to the other in under a hour on a fast horse so every corner of the map is settled and explored. Whilst I don't currently play on a PvE server I think if I did I'd like to be able to setup a deed hidden away somewhere and hardly ever see anyone in local with large area to myself without needing to pay 10g a month for a large deed.

    After reading Rolf's post again, it seems he is telling us we have one month to prepare for enclosures being gone and he is asking for suggestions on highways. In this, he has done another thing I have been asking for - fair warning on big changes. So I do believe enclosures as we know them are gone and he has his planned fix. I fear it has to do with flying and jumping but we will have to see. I speak for myself here but people seem to get the impression that I think the GMs are a bunch of lazy bums and they should be replaced or something. This is hardly the case. I have had a number of support calls and they have all been handled fairly, even the only dispute I had and also lost. I didn't like it but it was handled fairly. People also seem to think I don't trust Rolf. Well, I would like to say I do but he has a long track record of putting something in then scrambling to fix it. Again, we will see. Seara as her GM on my server has helped me a number of times. She is always prompt, courteous, and knows what she needs to do to fix things. With that in mind, she told us here a couple pages back that we would not be left high and dry in a grief-fest. I trust her from experience enough to lay my worries to rest for the time being. This all being said, I will see what comes. I will buy premium one month at a time instead of several at a time. If I don't like it, I will give time for it to be tweaked. If I still don't like it, then I can go somewhere else. If I do like it and it works, then I worried for nothing. After long talks with a couple people I play with every evening in Wurm, I found there is something here that no one will ever change and is not included in premium purchase and cannot be bought with silvers - my friends. One of them has become a very good friend IRL as well as in Wurm. There is no price tag that can be placed on that.

    Tbh i know both have been mentioned... but flying and jumping would kill wurm Jumping is completely useless.. i mean seriously where and when go we need to jump? Flying? just makes everything else useless.. makes wurm a much safer place (can avoid beasties) makes terrain unimportant (tunnels, roads, bridges would be pointless) I mean seriously if i could fly about 80% of wurms features would become pointless, i mean seriously i could just fly up my house or i could fly over a mountain :S So dont get your hopes up.. then again if Rolfs willing to remove Enclosures i can easily see Rolf making even more terrible decisions for Wurm :S Tbh i dont think Rolf predicted this much resistance, its as if he expected us to cheer in his removal of highways and enclosures or he'd surely been far more careful with his wording :S The fact there's been no offical responses to try and remove peoples fears is disgusting it clearly shows Rolf doesnt know what to say and that this post is simply a formality he'd made up his mind, as ive said before this is about money. He's trying to force us to stop using enclosures and plant more deeds/expand our existing ones. He's bringing out a new server and been bigging it up to make people want to buy even more deeds to top up his coffers. Prehaps this is to pay for his new employee.... Prehaps he needs new shoes..... None of us will know. And the only thing we can do now is protest... to those who are telling everyone to chill out.. Why the hell should we? we play this game too and our opinion is worth as much as yours.. Thats all for now

    Hello Fellow Wurmians! Oh yes, I am back to invite you to the backstage area of Wurm where you are the VIP. And me? Your utterly humble host. So please be seated and let me indulge you in this weeks surprises and "insider" information. Wurm gets reinforcements Consultant Mattias Jansson (No, he is not related to Rolf) has been helping out with our graphics engine. He is now going to start working full time from 7th of April beginning with client performance. Mattias is highly talented and his latest endeavor was working on developing the frostbite engine for Battlefield 4. So we can expect some pretty great additions to performance and graphics coming up. For all you medieval interior decorators out there We are putting resources into expanding your housing options and now have a huge list of varied interior items which is being worked on. These will be added as they are finished and will give you plenty new choices in decorating and sculpting your environment to your liking. No progress shots yet but things like: Wooden coffer Cosy fireplace Canopy bedBed tableWardrobeWooden bench All are in medieval style and this is just what is on top of the list and currently worked on. Looking forward to showing you all the goodies coming your way! What is Xanadu? There is something big in the making. In reality it is pretty huge. Well actually it might just be the most humongous thing ever added to Wurm! Ok, I will calm down and take some breaths.. It is called Xanadu! A new PvE island. I will be making more announcements as we get closer to the release date which I can say is not that distant. Tests and development are both already quite far in progress. Notice of Changes and Requesting Feedback Enclosures FeedbackWe are also getting around to what I mentioned last week about undeeded enclosures that was being used in an unintended way. This is something you might need to look into and adapt for to make sure your deed is safe for later when the change happens. So make sure to tell your friends as well. You will find an explanation of the issue and can help out with finding a solution in this thread. Enclosures thread Creature Ai being tweaked We are making further adjustments to the ai. Mainly the supposed troll overdrive on bashing in on deeded houses, enclosures and agro on hitched animals. We have yet to confirm the cases but we are currently looking at the mechanics to see what could cause this. To begin with we are removing agro from predators on animals that are on deeded territory. The aim is to create a more living environment where you will find more natural interaction between mobs. This is supposed to be a wild game experience, but we are not out to make it unnecessarily punishing on you deeded territory. Just enough to keep you on your toes and make for an exciting challenge. Titles has been updated Earlier I asked you Wurmians for feedback concerning the titles for filling in some gaps and also updating some outdated ones. These have now been processed and suitable ones has been picked and added to the game. I have been asked to keep which was picked a secret so you can explore this yourself and be surprised. Many of you will most likely find you have some new titles available after the next update! Stag The stag is not a new creature but it is the new model for the male deer that is ingame and currently sharing the female deer model. Finally there is more hope for the future and propriation of this species in the lands of Wurm. Certainly a good thing with the predators now looking at them with hungrier eyes.     Work hard? It takes me about 1 minute and 30 seconds to grab wemp out of my bsb, Craft 10 cordage rope, and be done with it for the month, That's not very hard... he didn't state straight out remove, he stated he's trying to figure a way to fix them which (could) involve removing them, but nowhere has he said he will straight out remove them. My person opinion, leave it to them, Code Club is the one being hurt by it, so until they figure something out, I see no reason in arguing over it, in game, or on the forums.

    You can't master everything in Mortal Online. It has the same limitations in place as Life is Feudal. You have to specialize. I agree though, Mortal Online sucks. It feels incomplete.

    "Gift wrapping has been disabled for now since it was mostly used for other things and sometimes bugged out" "Other things" surely means the use of wrapping, putting in container and mailing. I used this alot and I am sure that others did too. Maybe there was another bug that I am unaware of, but whatev... So, why the strict size restriction on the mailbox volume? Why not just take all the mailboxes and give them a huge internal volume?
