    Wurm is often best appreciated in fast-forward.     so i am sitting here looking at a merchant and i really love the cloth armor he/she has on and i would like to be able to make it to make it and walk around on deed in it, who else is with me on this? the models are made so i cant see it being that hard to add it into the game as an option for us.

    I love the idea behind the lawn tile - really I do. I love that it prevents tree and bush growth. It's a great alternative to sand around my buildings. However what I don't like is that it looks like green-painted dirt/slab. It's just a tad too plain. If it looked like short grass it would be PERFECT. Just my opinion. Please consider making it a bit less plain - perhaps a bit more natural looking. Thanks!

    It would be completely bad ass to have this and gators as the next new set of armor . It would be lighter than plate but stronger than leather but 10x a pain in the rear end to do .

    Add trophy mounts to the game it would go great with the skin rugs. That way people can hang there kills on the wall like a fisher does with his fish or a hunter does with his deer heads.

    In the case of those of us who like to use structures to as walls, like in this link; http://i.imgur.com/1b7k4ml.jpg there's always the unfortunate gap between buildings, that is left to a simple tall stone wall. This is not only a structural weakness, leaving that tile as the easiest way to catapult into the deed, but looks terrible, due to the height difference. What I would like to see, is the ability to plan tall stone walls, on top of existing tall stone walls, to make them multi-story. This could have an intense masonry or carpentry requirement, or not, a small point best left to the Devs. Currently, you are already able to build tall stone walls on top of one another as part of a building, but not freestanding to fill gaps between buildings.     We all know Caravel's and Cog, spend most of their time moored in people harbours. Now we have wagons, we need a lifestock transporter, if you make either of these ships a transporter they will actually have a reason to be made and sell apart from being pushed to the top of people houses and made as lookouts, It will also stimulate the ship building trade as a caravel is tough to make. While im here.... Add speed increase to ship QL in increments of 50, 70 and 90 like horse shoes. Once again, it will give highly skilled player more work and all low skilled player wont know make a sailboat and use that forever... ...I have suggested this before btw. MIlo

Haha, so on a serious note this was quite fun to draw, I'm not one for drawing action scenes or even backgrounds so its a bit of a change. I've always thought it'd be cool to see the gods themselves come down to Wurm once in awhile from Valrei, and be this massive being, bigger than anything else. Even putting their avatar's in the shade of their awesomeness. As always thanks for checking it out! More to come, I'll try lay off on the Lib fan-art and do something different.     Flatten does just what it says. It shifts dirt in all the corners of a tile to make that tile flat. It will raise one corner while lowing another. It does not pay any attention to the tiles around it unless those tiles are bocked - they have a fence or structure or other unmovable object. Level will use the already flat tile you are standing on as a guide and will make the tile you level match it by removing dirt or adding dirt depending on the terrain height you are working with. I find it best, unless making a road, to manually dig a planned flat tile at your planned height and level the ones around it, working outward from that manually dug tile, until you have the whole project area flat and the same height. . If you are building near shallow rock under the surface, be prepared to alter your plans. You may find you either have to raise your project higher or do a lot of digging then surface mine. Again, this depends on your base terrain. In short, flatten is a quick and easy way to make a base point to level from but you have no real control over what the final height will be as it will shift dirt from wherever it needs until it finds flat. I would not use it extensively to terraform.

    Do not implement flying without a 100% safe no fly zone over deed option in the roles of the deed. Don't use guards to protect your airspace as guards suck these days. Ensure it is a deed owner's right to tick the no fly zone. As Rolf said, nothing stops anyone from landing in your enclosure...that includes deeded enclosures (totally enclosed deeds). This should not be an option. Another thing: If someone jumps into my fence from a pile of dirt outside my wall, and he is inside my walled and locked deed and I put him kos, and he is killed in there bc he cannot get out, I WILL NOT unlock my gates for him to come get his body. His stuff is forfeit then. Just because he can jump my fence, it does not mean I lose kos rights on my deed. And why do away with legal enclosures? Will wurm then stop advertising that it is a free to play game to start with? It is clear that without any protection like legal enclosures, no free player can make any kind of living in wurm. Scrap the free to try option completely then. So people will say deed it or lose it...really? When people can fly into your deed you pay for and lock your bsbs and fsbs? How is that safe? I can see how many many more problems will emerge to cause conflict between players, to the point where ppl will just walk. To avoid this: -1 to flying. -1 to jumping fences.

    Every now and then the global spell of Magranon gets cast: "Ritual of the Sun". A spell that repairs all walls and houses in the domain of Magranon. And many people also have a dominant Vyn/Fo/Mag domain at their deed for spellcasting. But I always find it rather hard to tell where such a domain ends and where the next begins. You can either map it somewhat or just run around, but I thought it might be easier and a bit cooler if we could ask the gods themselves, to reveal the boundaries of their domain on the Wurm world. How would this go? Well, you activate your statuette and right click the altar of the god you are follower/priest of and cast a low favor/low faith spell called "Reveal Domain". Then, on the borders of that particular altar-domain, markers would pop up like the ones you get when planning a deed, but other graphics offcourse, something a bit more devine in nature. Perhaps glowing orbs (green for Fo, white for Vyn, red for Mag) that last around 30sec - 1min and can be seen from far away, or at least far enough to cover a theoretical radius of a 99ql altar. (but the graphics department, or other wurmers can probably come up with cooler ideas XD) That way one could see very clearly and very easy if the domain reaches certain walls or houses in the distance, or if the vyn domain covers your entire deed. PS: to prevent people from spamming the glowing orbs/markers everywhere, you could put a cooldown on it, maybe once every 6 or 12 hours

    Presents have been taken out of the game presumably bc people used them to hoard items. I am suggesting we need this kind of storage and gift giving system, with the following tweaks: 1. Let presents spring open after one or two months. If someone then stores something in there like a pelt (which we cannot store in a bsb), they will have to rewrap it every six to ten weeks. The wrapping should decay and disappear when it has taken enough damage. 2. People can only make one present per day so a cool down period applies. I really would love to give some items to my friends and leave it as a surprise while they are offline, not having presents any more really sucks. Thanks.

    Short of using voice communications, I think elevation is the second most difficult atmosphere to maintain IC roleplay within Wurm, after chaos. My guess would be that you would have much better success getting a good feel for it on one of the home servers first, though if you're really determined, I imagine people might come out of the woodwork, with the right lead and guidance. Don't forget though, preparation is key.

    Not many people know about this event on Deli, currently. I am not sure if that's normal, only been playing half a year but you might wish to call the thread `Easter Impalong` if you are seeking numbers on par with Pendleton's . The week running up to the event i'll try to mention it a couple of times a day if it needs to be done. Just a couple of thoughts I'll be helping out with the carpentry.

    Then you're saying it wrong. This, except that if you know what you're doing you'll have perfect control over the height you gain. Its not for nothing that we'd use it for flatraising terrain way before level was introduced. Yes its more complicated, yes you actually need to know how digging and terrain works on wurm to work with level. No its not broken, nor stupid.

    I think this is a good idea. It should have similar properties to drake but be a little bit worse (a bit less strong and a bit slower.) In PvP and especially on Chaos we're desperate for an armour that isn't slow (plate) and isn't weak (chain) that could match drake which costs 100e+.

    Hello Fellow Wurmians! So this week I wanted to give you further information on what is currently being prioritized. We do have further factors which will be crucial for the next steps in the progress of Wurm we are looking into. But for now, I will let you in on the current situation. But first, an update on the Shark! Shark First I want to make clear that the Shark is not a big priority for implementation competing with the other topics, not necessarily time consuming either and will be added as we find the time. I brought the feedback about the Shark to a meeting and we came up with a solution that will probably enrich the game experience for everyone. Keep in mind this can still be subject to some minor changes. As there is no creatures currently visually populating the more open sea, we wanted to make the shark an iconic part of the environment and more common. So first of, they will be cruising the surface showing their dorsal fin. Secondly, as the game is being played in many cases without the focus on fighting, we do not want to force battling the sharks on anyone as they would potentially be hard to avoid. We want to implement them more as a priced and challenging prey for hunters/fisherman and they will be non aggressive until attacked. We have yet to discuss how dangerous they will be and if there might be some big and nasty variations of it which has more powerful attacks. Current Priorities The Tutorial Area This is as most of you know something that is currently being worked on and we are progressing rapidly with realizing. Right now the area, which will look like a village, is being populated with assets and themed zones which upon exploration will trigger notifications. We will cower all of the basics from the current tutorial and some further areas. A new place to explore for aspiring smiths! Adding to the crafting interface functionality Two of our developers ErikN and Haradur are currently working on expanding the interfaces functionality to include fences, hedges, flowerbeds and house building. According to our calculations this will drastically decrease the amounts of clicks needed to finalize especially buildings. You will be able to right click tile borders and building plans to add them to the crafting window. After starting the build they automatically change to unfinished items in the interface and you will be able to continue them from there as long as you have materials in your inventory. If you would have some further tweaks to the interface you can suggest them in the comments bellow and we might be able to get them in whilst the work is in progress. Optimization This is as always a work in progress and we constantly have developers devoted to this area both in terms of graphics engine and fixing bugs. We are in the process of hiring a full time graphics engine developer which will be starting work in April. That will greatly speed up the process and we are hopeful this will take us leaps further with both running smoother and looking better then ever. Connectivity There are still players having problems with their connectivity to the new servers due to bottlenecks between their regions and to the server location in Germany. Companies like Blizzard are also having these issues right now which shows that this is a bigger problem over all. This will hopefully mean the problem is getting more attention due to more pressure then we can put on the network companies. And that we will benefit from a more major and general solution to it. We have gotten quite a bit of information from our players and we have used it to give the different network companies like Level3 and Internode more insight. The problem with a company like Level3 is that we are not conducting busyness with them directly and our traffic does not amount to much in their eyes. Which in turn makes it very hard to pressure them into addressing our concerns. But MaxC is collecting more data to further the case and also he is getting his Propper British rage on and is threatening their PR department to take their neglect to the press. Anyone who is having these issues can help MaxC stick it to the man by following the link bellow and help collect more data. Max Instructions Areas still being worked on but with secondary priority Bridges The work on bridges is progressing though finalizing it is proving quite complex with all variables involved. Currently, getting 3d collisions done which is a major and time consuming project all in itself. Also artificial intelligence for creatures path finding on and around bridges is what is taking time. The project will be ongoing and I will announce further information as we progress. Boats Boats are very near completion but we need a final push and full attention of our developers as soon as they get time. This is because there are some new aspects to their functionality and positioning. Synchronization This is something that will be very important for the game going forward for better interaction both with players and the environment. The core here is getting quicker and more correct updates of where all players and creatures are located in relation to each other in the world. Also making actions and reactions more direct in the process. We have several more areas we are looking into and awaiting further information about which are to early to announce. But as you might realize we are keeping quite busy. In the plan is also a new developer diary video where we will announce the next focus more formally and personally to you all. Anyways, we will do our best to finish this as soon as we can as long as you, Keep on Wurming!

    Maybe add a scafolding requirement and mininum masonry for each new level of wall and the need to keep lower walls a certain minimum ql and max damage before whole wall just crumbles down. +1

    When I was in JK I was constantly told that BL are evil and that they punch babies and microwave gerbils....now that I'm BL I've realized...it's all true. As soon as I arrived at Elevation Oni and Lorena took me aside and told me I was special, then Oni took me to Blackstone and brought me into a dark cave and told me it was my new home, he then proceeded to touch me in my special place while telling me I was a good boy.     Flying: -1 - If you limit the ability to those with very high stats, it only means that veterans gain that much more of an edge and ability to abuse those players less fortunate enough to be the little guy when this is implemented. - This will only further divide the player base and you will lose players who get griefed by players who figure out how to use these new abilities to grief others - and the WILL FIGURE IT OUT. - All the years of effort to secure deeds (both PVE and PVP) will be instantly null and void. - This will be a disaster on the PVE servers where people take pride in their privacy! - It will force PVP server deeds to either increase the number of useless guards OR cause players to squeeze together into deeds that are large enough for players to provide 24/7 security. - Give guards ability to shoot arrows? If they protect the deed from air attack with the same effectiveness as they do ground attack, you may as well give them sling shots... they will be worthless and useless to protect anything. Jumping: -1 - Similar griefing potential as flying. - Those players (who just happen to be the majority) who play on PVE servers will become so deluged with lack of privacy and protection, I predict many will likely quit the game. - Not to mention the poor noob players who will have no way to protect anything they have long enough to even desire to go premium. Wurm is not known as an amazing PVP experience compared to other MMO's. However, Wurm is known as an amazing sandbox which gives players unparalleled sense of ownership, privacy, and security in a virtual world (PVE of course). Every feature that takes away from that feeling is a feature I fear will take away from the player base. The only remedy I can think of is to limit these features to EPIC (and maybe Chaos) only.
