Yet another thread on this... The issue has been debated to the ends of the Earth, nothing new and constructive can possibly come from bringing it up yet again.

When withdrawing money from your bank via a token, the default amount is automatically set at the maximum possible which means for the 99% of times when you don't wish to withdraw your entire bank account it's a case of individually setting each coin amount. It seems to me it would be far more efficient if the default value is set at 0g 0s 0c 0i and then we can quickly enter the exact value we wish to withdraw. We could even add a "withdraw full amount" button for those rare cases when we actually do wish to withdraw the full amount. Cheers

I'm sure it's been suggested a million times before but since we have kingdom banners, flags and tabards... why can't we have shield heraldry?

like for christs sake, everyone that actually has a mind that isn't tube fed each morning can see this is clearly a good thing. protunia, all you ever do is take everything to extremes, and there's only ever that outcome in your eyes, because of people like you ###### doesn't get done

It has been stated time and time again that traders are not being used as they were intended, and that the system will be changed. This is just flogging a dead horse, if traders did not pay out silver people would not purchase them, they wouldnt be locked up, they simply wouldn't exist. There needs to be a manner in which silver returns to the economy, this is what keeps it stable, silver that goes to the king in one month comes back via traders, how else would it wind up back in the economy? Sure, some trader deeds take up viable land, but most are out in the wilderness due to the 50 tile rule. You also forget that they require 50s. Which is usually bought from the shop, and take upwards of six to eight months to return that initial investment. I agree with changing the way traders work, I dont however see it as an exploit or unfair, people who have played for longer and can make high ql tools and enchants earn far more per month than a trader does

Elevation is a premium-only server in order to prevent spy alts, but we've seen that this isn't completely effective. People still prem up enemy-kingdom alts for the sole purpose of griefing and prepping for raids, and history shows that killing them is not much of a solution. The small size and low population of Ele means they can get back to griefing and spying fairly easily after being killed. To combat this, I suggest we allow kingdom officials to set people's reputations down to a minimum of -220, which means tower guards will attack the person for five days. -The grand prince, information minister, earl marshal, chief of economy, mistress, and avenger (or their equivalents) will have to come to a total consensus in order to change someone's reputation. If someone does not vote or votes against the change, the vote fails automatically. -Votes are anonymous and the results do not show until the end. -Everyone voting must have been in office for at least one week. -Reputation will increase by 1 per hour as usual. -People will not auto-convert due to low rep. -This will not be implemented on home servers due to how easy it is to create a new character. -To prevent abuse, those who have been wrongfully punished by this system can appeal to the GM's. If their complaints are deemed valid, those who use this system to harass legitimate players would be punished, up to and including being stripped of their kingdom titles and given a temporary ban if this happens frequently enough. Part of what makes PvP servers great is the lack of rules and the ability to punish griefers without relying on GM intervention. However, our system isn't perfect. The amount of time and manpower needed to keep our land secure from griefer alts is just not available to us, and the damage they are capable of causing does nothing but cheapen the game and make people quit.

I don't care what you people do. 90FS from killing alts or hunting. Bad PvPers are always going to be bad PvPers. PvPing has very little to do with your fight skill and a whole lot to do with not being a tool. I could care less how people grind FS. Personally, grinding FS isn't worth my time, as it's hardly needed if you use your friggin brain in the game half the time. Once most of you nerds figure out that this is a game, it really does become fun to "play" it. ###### people...I swear.

To play the full game you need 1 character, and that's it. You don't need batteries, you don't need priests of every faith, your character can be any of those priests.

Any news on rafts, will they get new features or stay the same? Or will rafts work inside crates to make them hold even more stuff? One good idea would be to allow us walk on rafts since they already stay above water. Could make tiny bridges with those ^^ + can we dye wagons / ship carriers? if yes, how much dye will it take.

I read an awesome analogy about ESO, and considering it's under NDA I can't say anything about the game or whether or not I've been in beta. To quote the review : Review Source : http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/ That is almost perfectly spot on from my point of view, but I can say I won't be paying the asking price for these cookies any time in the future.

I've had a dyed red large metal shield that I have used for 3 years... I am still waiting for the day that it becomes visibly red when I have it equipped.

+1 So much. It would also be great if Dye showed up on Armor and shields. Surely wouldn't be THAT hard to code either...right?

What I find hilarious about the developers of this game, is that in concept it's basically wurm in many respects, except these guys have the common sense to try to greenlight their game, even if it doesn't even compare next to this game. TBH I wouldn't mind porting Wurm onto steam, hell I'd greenlight it, there are much worse games out there that make it through. Code Club is going to have to do something eventually, I doubt the players here will put up with another price hike with the current state of the game, its laggy and barely reliable servers. What we need is a larger player base, and more availability.

I usually try to avoid Free to play games. 15 a month is well worth it to have access to everything the game offers. It is much better than the welfare gaming model where i have to spend far more to experience the same content so others can play free.

Hello Fellow Wurmians! This week I will simply list the full set of currently confirmed features so you know exactly what to look and plan for with the coming Update on 18th of February. I have taken some time to clarify some of the updates for your convenience. Wagons Ship Carrier Crafting Interface Crates Great for bulk transportation. Drag and Drop Functionality to drag items straight from piles to cart, cart to piles or pile to pile without the need for it going to inventory first. Amount moved per action is in relation to how much you are already carrying vs maximum carrying capacity. Load Function The ability to load many items previously unmovable(as in picked up) onto carts through a simple command. Reinforced Cave Floors For those instances when rock floors just does not feel secure enough. Notifications Help System Tutorial and help messages that are triggered by certain situations and conditions. The information will also be available on demand from a library called "Book of Wisdom". Village Recruitment Board Joining or inviting fellow players through a map interface accessible from a recruitment board model which can be crafted or accessed from the starter deeds. After joining a settlement you will be able to teleport to that deed at once but one time only. Invite Command You will be able to directly invite a player to your village by using /vinvite command specified with player name. It will work no matter where on the server the player is. The player will receive a message and can teleport at once to the village. This will work one time only per village and can not be used if you have teleported to the same village through the Village Recruitment Board. The same limitation is true for the Recruitment Board. World and Island Maps with notations The annotations work like this: You have some for personal use, some are shared and available for people of the same village. Also, some are shared over the entire alliance. Placing them is as easy as clicking your map, but you have a set amount and restrictions to who can place them on village and alliance level. Status effect bar Shows you the current active buffs and debuffs affecting your character, complete with a set of new icons. New Emotes Follow, lead, goodbye, this way, not that way. Avatar of Libila Kyklops Rugs Braziers So which update are you the most exited about? And with that I can only suggest that you start planning and Keep on Wurming!

+1. I hate this, especially when at a foreign deed, if you accidentally pull all of your money, you are stuck carrying it all the way back home with you, which is a large risk for many people.

Instead of 'having' to have 4 toons, you could just play in cooperation with other players. I know that's a radical view in today's world, but it is multiplayer here for a reason.

Sorcery isn't really a working feature as it is, the spells are not really balanced. And none of the spells are really pve spells. If you want to spend 1500 karma to throw a fireball at a troll for minor damage sure, but I don't see the point. Not to mention the fun of suddently taking 2x damage from something.
  31. 1 point
Or as a "when someone gets around to code it" as rolf put it to a question in the IRC
  32. 1 point
Yes, it will....As I understand it one of the reasons Sorcery was placed on Epic servers was to promote population growth ON the Epic Servers. Implementing Sorcery on Freedom servers as well would encourage some Players (existing and new) to go to Freedom Isles to participate in Sorcery rather than go to Epic for that feature. So... one of the goals of Sorcery... a "carrot" to increase Epic Populations, will in fact be IMPACTED. -1. Sorcery IS for Epic Server Players. Let them have their cookies. They deal with enough stupid world event garbage. Rolf baked those Sorcery cookies for them.

I think one thing that needs explaining also is that the traders don't just hand over silver when you trade them; you actually need to put some effort in and craft various items to trade for the coin (generally gold/silver jewelry which requires 10x the time to mine compared to iron not to mention the Jewelry Smithing skillset is rather useless) so this is quite time consuming; also every 28 days the 'ratio' resets and you need to purchase old items from the trader to exchange for new ones (these trades always being in advantage of the trader which means you burn through a bunch of crafted items with no gain every reset) and furthermore you need to watch like a hawk for those resets because the vast majority of coin is paid out just after the resets and if you miss it you will ruin your month. Basically what I'm trying to say is traders require constant attention; you need to have a constant stockpile of items to drain the traders and need to check them every few days to see if the ratio has reset (knowledge path / economic advisor kingdom title on PvP servers) and if you forget about them for a week you might miss out on 50% of your payout. On the other hand you can craft random crap at your own pace and throw it on a merchant and collect coin whenever you feel like it. Sure you probably won't get as much coin unless you are selling some seriously special stuff but there isn't anywhere near as much frustration.

God I'm so tired of these boohoo they have a trader and I don't its so unfair posts. spend 50s get a trader the current return on Indy is around 8s a cycle just stop freaking whining about them.
  35. 1 point
This is a long standing debate and your post is basically beating a dead horse to be honest. To me, it's a situation where it's really hard to mess with it as it stands. While an exploit is using a game mechanic as not intended and locking up trader may "not be as initially intended", it's a significant chunk of income as almost no one would likely buy a trader otherwise and we'd have the same player base with a lot less deeds. With the rise in prices last year, there are many spots available now to deed. If you cannot find a spot you're simply not looking hard enough. Land is not an issue.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the rare system being entirely random. It's one of the few auxiliary game features that everyone can enjoy on an equal basis right out of the box, and that's what's great about it. High skill has enough perks already, and chancing it so making rares would be a conscious decision would make the whole system meaningless quickly.
  42. 1 point
you mean like 80 percent their time they are spending on crap already that is already useless? Then again it depends what you consider be worth the time...last time i enjoyed a update that i think was worth fixing was before 1.0....

Way to go to put someone down! I applaud OP for doing what they have done. People can exercise at home. Just because someone whats to do exercise, there is no need to jump the gun straight away and say "go to a proper gym". How about stop being a bitter person.. just an idea to think about.
