    What do you think to add some pictures for our empty house wall? I hate see empty wall. I'd like add a pic of Magranon, Vynora, Fo and Libila. Other nice pictures will be a map, rolf's pics or your character. To do this you'll need Cloth tailoring, fine carpentery for the plank (???) of struct. I don't know more, I'll leave to you more comments, but would be nice

    Personally I don't mind it. Horses really made pve easy street. Things going after the mount adds a certain degree of danger back.

    This has to be one of the stupid mechanics in wurm. You cannot simply go out hunting on a horse without having a 50/50 chance that a creature you have targeted goes for your horse FIRST. WTF IS THE DEAL WITH THAT? It serves no purpose but to PISS OFF those that are hunting. I go out to enjoy my time in wurm but all i get is ###### RAGE FROM HUNTING. My heart hpysically cant take this anymore by how much ###### rage i get when each and every creature i target decides to target my horse instead, again and again and again and agina AND AGINA AND AIGINA AND AGINA AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. i cut my time in wurm short because of how fuckign annoying stupiud mechanic this is and i just cannot phsyically stand this big fu to the hunter. ###### this game mechanic

    So I log into Wurm yesterday, for the first time in like a month, and discovered my priest has been eating mushrooms or something while I've been away!     The idea is that blockades etc are tolerated during a PVP event - trapping raiders, or defending against etc. Not that new funnels are put up every time a GM pops the last set. If new ones are constantly built just to replace the old ones purely for that reason, then popping the new ones isn't all that will happen.

    Maybe new skill - painting that is related with natural substances to make some paint first, then you get a sheet and paint on that, depending on skill you could get better looking portrait of the god you want to paint (like low ones should be something like a stickman)

    Good abandonment signs are: - A deed gets disbanded by lack of upkeep. - A house completely rots away. In both of these cases would it be that bad if the server deletes all objects contained within the house or village? *edit* Who should bear the burden of consequences resulting from unsightly ruins? I don't think we should penalize active players...aka excessive decay. Deleting abandoned stuff would hurt the scavenger. I still think penalizing active players because quitters didn't clean up after themselves is a bad idea.

    After a long talk in our freedom chat. I'm posting here about a new community project. We heard a lot about that kind of stuff, there were many tries... but here you are, directly out of the deed planner : Deliverance Stadium ! You can visit the stadium with the deed planner here : http://pastebin.com/d6gbdq0s How do I see the project : Due to the access tunnel to get inside the arena from both gold mine doors we will need a really close rock layer, that can be achieved with both terraforming and raising the rock with concrete. The project needs as well lots of mats, 13k bricks and mortar at least for the walls, 366 marble slabs and so on, it's a crazy huge project the complex alone is 15x28 on 4 storey high. It can be done by a single man, but will be way better to be conduct by the whole community. I would like to see that stadium and the buildings around on a deed with enough perimeter for people to have some hunting ground around and see the stadium from a wider area. As well, if the deed can have a public trader to pay for the upkeep it would be a must have. Templars are obviously a no-go, how will you do some PvE if the templars are helping you. Guards tower can be helpful though to the visitors. I would have first your insights on where we can plan that project, would you like to help, what kind of event would you like to see. For all who never attended on a Tournament before, here are some basic facts you should know. You will only use the "spar" function which avoids the death of the loser, due to the fact that the "stronger" Player stops before the final hit happens.Don't be scared of attending just because you fear to fight a too high skilled player, you will be put in different Leagues to increase your chance.But why should you attend on such an event where you try to almost kill people? You will actually see that those public events make fun, alot of fun. The fact to meet old friends is great in such an environment.However, I didn't even mention the worthily prizes you can win. The winner in a League will get great stuff, which goes from Weapons to Tools, even enchants or speed horses are common.But I don't have the gear to fight? Armour and your Shield/Weapon of choice will be provided by us. The gear is around 50Ql so there is no advantage of better gearin the whole Tourney.The supply of high Ql meals, water and +90Ql cotton is standard in our events.I hope you got a basic impress of the way we handle with Tournaments.     Kriet Empire of Mol Rehan I'd like to commend Kriet for his outstanding and selfless actions in welcoming, mentoring and providing humanitarian aid to new players in western Chaos. I also wanted to share his good deeds with the rest of the wurm community in hopes that others will see this and commend him as well. Kriet is a member of the Empire of Mol Rehan who lives near a starter deed on the Chaos server. For as long as I have noticed, Kriet has constantly provided support and training to new players who have come to try out wurm online. Understandably, this game has a bit of a learning curve which can sometimes be overwhelming and turn away players from the game but It is by Kriet's selfless actions, friendly demeanor and constant support that I believe many players have developed an interest and decided to stay long-term in the game. Well done Kriet, you are truly an inspiration to all of us and are a shining bastion of philanthropy. If only there were more players like yourself, this game would grow so much more than what it already has achieved.

    If you have the skill probably true. However - you need to know there is a penalty similar (but opposite) to high ground advantage fighting from a cart. Also - some things - like trolls - are capable of bashing your cart pretty hard.

    Yep. Too bad I'm not so sure that the terrain is accurate... tried to climbfall dragonfang mountain to take a good screenshot on that angle to no avail. it seems wurm world looked from certain angle makes most things looks.. flat..

    Trader is worth 50s when you buy the contract from another trader. Once placed its value drops to 20-30s max. 1.5g is way out of the blue, and this is not trolling. Either way your stuff, your pricing, but some one to buy it at this rate must have a serious brain damage or just wouldn't care to be ripped off

    It doesn't even have to hurt the scavenger. Just change it so that only planted bsb and chests decay fast off-deed (i usually scavenge bsb, to avoid the hassle of crafting them). Also delete the items only when the last wall of a house decays completely, this gives plenty of oportunity for people to scavange things, even to move them out of the house (like if they want to use the forges), into a new one. Well, a dev calling something "an old bug" means nothing in Wurm, its not the first time things were considered a feature till Rolf changed his mind, called it a bug and "fixed it" usually resulting in making the players life worse. (Latest example and one which he then ended up retracting was the deed lamps).

    Well i had trouble with the updater freezing up on me but just deleted 1.6 and downloaded a fresh 1.7 from here and things are fine so far. The only thing is the roofs were a little jumbled up but some of them were acting up before. The performance boost is defiantly noticeable on my large map. I will let you know if i see anything else as i get my maps all moved over to the new version. Thanks for you continued work on this great tool. Edit: Well spoke to soon there are things happening. 1: placement is not working well it places walls and like ground tiles sporadically around your pointer again like before but seems much worse this time. 2: The map does not start at 40 like stated and i think that might be causing some of the other issues but seems to be 25 from what i can count.     I looked myself, and it possible but not easy to get out of hunters lodge. Either way, if the blockades are not removed soon, I will personally come remove them and make sure that new freedom isles players are able to play like everyone else. ALL of the exits should be usable, not just one or two which you, or whoever did this, decides.

    I hope these blockades are removed very, very soon, or I'll go take care of them myself. If you have problems with griefers, walling in starter towns is not the way to go.

    I used to find this annoying myself, but the way the op worded just makes me laugh. Seriously, if you can't keep a horse alive for more than a week, because you don't want to pay attention to combat logs when you're out hunting, then I understanding why this change was made, and it serves a great purpose.

    I don't really understand what you are raging about. Calm down, mate! Aggro creatures attacking mounts is not an unrealistic feature at all: why shouldn't a wild predator attack a horse you are riding on? In fact, it is something you would also expect in real life, right? And yes, I also lost one of my best horses due to not paying attention, and I didn't like it at all. But: it's part of this game, it's a realistic feature and - as mentioned by others - serves the game balance on PVE servers. You just have to be careful when hunting on a horse, that's all.

    The old €5/month price was what convinced me to go premium in the first place, all these years ago. Wurm simply has Not improved enough for such a steep price increase imho... =/

    tower guards going after enemy horses is also annoying but it keeps you alert same as mobs going after the horse my opinion is keep it

    Barding, and avoid starving mobs. Normal mobs don't usually go for the horse. And this has been around for almost a year. Its true most mob-related mechanics should have been tweaked when they increased the cap. But this is wurm, forethought isn't one of the dev's strengths. Its not just horse killing. All annoying critter related stuff increased, troll bashing walls (even freaking arched walls on houses). Corpse litter, Having to stop every 10s to kill a mob that wandered into your deed, etc. But at least now bardings look good.

    If I do my job good enough then I would hope they would want to stay and help MR. At no point in time do i put a condition on my help such as "if you want to go JK then I won't help you". I love this game enough that it would not really bother me at all. This game in my opinion is the finest example of a sandbox MMO that I have ever seen. To see this game grow is my goal. There is nothing In it for me other then that. To think otherwise is to question ones character. Not that this is what is occurring, just an opinion I hold. Anyone who spends time in this game knows that with about 200 people on Chaos, it takes on a whole new look. Who wouldn't want to see Wurm grow?

    The forum is not the place to throw around accusations of griefing. Wurm is a freeform world where it's easy for misunderstandings and similar to occur. Getting in to a big argument over a champion wild-cat with claims of griefing are absurd as far as I can see in this case. Talking things through BEFORE going ahead and doing things will usually avoid these kinds of situations. I hope you manage to settle your differences and live peacefully. Don't make me come over there

    I don't think any containers/items should decay as long as they are on a deed with 30 days upkeep paid just like with the buildings and walls. They should only start taking damage once the upkeep is below 30 days and should be gone soon after the deed drops to help clean up the area faster. Now i understand that not everyone lives on deed but i think the majority of the off deed players know to keep things in mines or houses to slow decay rates.

    Actually, I don't see how it's helpful at all. I've dealt with the same thing on my own for sale and auctions where "tire kickers" (someone who isn't interested in buying anything, but thinks their opinion is warranted anyway) will come by and try to knock the price down, for whatever reason. Unless the post is a "price check" then any commentary or opinion on what someone values their own items at is irrelevant, rude and disruptive. The ONLY person who's opinion matters when it comes to what something is worth is the person who owns it. They decide what their time and efforts were worth, regardless of what any previous sales have or have not happened. If something is overpriced, the market will inform the seller of such when the items isn't sold. There is no reason to "help". Free bump OP, and just report all these posts to the mods. In my opinion, they should be cracking down on these "usual suspects" without having to be asked, but they are responsive when notified.

    Thank you so much for the recognition. I've tried to change the philosophy that was developing on Chaos that Freedomers were an easy and cheap kill. In doing so I found that underlining factor of game playability. It's no fun if you die over and over when trying to learn a game. To that end I've worked very hard with assistance of many great players in Chaos in welcoming and helping new players. This game as a whole deserves to grow, whether or not they are JK or MR or even BL. If they chose to play the game then they deserve to actually experience the game. Again thank you Roman for bringing to light my efforts and thank you all for the follow up. Your ever humble noobie herder-Kriet. By the way I am always in vent and have been playing for a very long time. I love this game and the people in it..even some of the JK.

    Well said Roman, Kriet is a great guy and one of the few who will take the time to consistently spend his time on helping others. I think we all know how frustrating this game can be to teach to new players and how aggravating it can be when certain individuals spoil it by turning out to be lazy, thieves or whatever. Kriet takes them all in regardless and works his ass off helping newbies, certainly deserved this recognition.

    I'd like to see the Baobab, or Boab tree - Adansonia. Unlike in the real world it should only grow on mountains 300, 500, maybe 600+ slopes above water. Main abilities for it would be water for thirsty explorers and highly nutritional fruits. It could be a natural water source high up for settlers, an emergency water and food supply for new explorers in high altitudes. Maybe not the most sought after tree for most, but could prevent a death or 3 to new players exploring the nature in Wurm. I lost count of how many times i died in my first 3-4 weeks in Wurm running out of water, gaining stamina too slow and with only a 1/3 or a 1/4 stamina getting attacked by a spider or some other wild critter. So mainly a tree for new players out exploring and settlements built high up the mountains.
