to be honest this looks like prison cells compared to just an open pen with a bunch of horses in it...

I know that Rolf nerfed enchanted grass, supposedly because it was overpowered, but I disagree with that decision. I keep my animals down to the limits described in the wiki, but still get enchanted tiles to revert to grass and get packed, even if the animals are not grazing in that area. Came in today to find that in 3 days 5 tiles had reverted in my cattle pen, and I'm still reenchanting the horse pen. The cattle are still crowding on the west side of the pen, but the new tiles that reverted to grass were on the east side of the pen, where they seldom go. Why was it considered overpowered? It takes a long time to get the skill to enchant grass, and you can only enchant 1 a day, so it was already quite limited. And it's not like everything loses it's enchantment over time. I have never seen any weapon lose any of their enchants, nor do meditation rugs. I would consider that far more overpowered than enchanted grass. All it does is increase the daily chores, and that is what tends to drive players away after a while, too mant chores just to keep things up. When I went for the path of love, it was to get the reward of enchanted grass, to take away the daily drudge work of repairing the pastures. But now you have put it back. I understand that you are trying to stop hoarding, but do you have to make it harder for those of us who are playing by the rules? And as to the practice of planting crops and letting the animals graze on that, well, I have huge issues. I come from cattle country, and I know that the worst thing you can do is let the cattle into the fields. It's not just that they would ruin the entire field in a day and starve, but if they do eat grains they get gas, and ruminant animals can't burp. We should be having to stab them in the stomach to relieve the gas pressure. When they grain feed cattle just before slaughter, they do it to add fat to the meat, and they have to feed them tons of antacids. In fact, cattle use more antacids than people do in the USA, just to get a few more pounds on them before slaughter. So please, revert enchanted grass to being truly enchanted again, otherwise it's just pretty green grass in winter.

It seems that a recent change has meant that the once ambient sound of hell horses and whatever else burning has been moved into a different sound option. Could we please put it back so that we dont have to listen to it? Combat and Emote sounds are life and death options in gameplay yet now I have to listen to the constant burning too. Please either put it back where it was or create a completely seperate option to turn it off

I marvel why the devs spend time on making leather combinable instead of dealing with more pressing matters. Nobody asked for it, one could combine them to 3kgs via bulk bins and there's not a single recipe that needs heavier leather pieces anyway. Why waste development time on it?

All i ask is you tell people it is a kid. Our alliance had a strange moment a few weeks back that included discussions on drinking, topless females, hangovers and milfs "looking for male made stemcells".....we laughed until the newest member asked what a milf was and why they would want stemcells since they could only be injected. As the discussion, snickers and further wonderment continued it dawned on one of us to ask: How old are you?! 12.......needless to say topics on alliance chat have forever changed.

We've recently encountered a lovely little dillemma with our town on Epic. The village was changed to a democracy due to the founding mayor going MIA for the past 6-7 months. Everything was fine until we ran into a bit of a snag. We had a villager who nobody liked, to be blunt, so we wanted to remove him. Thing is, we couldn't do that ourselves. Not me, the current mayor, or anyone else with villager management rights. When we confronted him and asked him to /revoke, it took about an hour to finally get him to go, which if we didn't keep track of him (or if he logged off and logged back in during nighttime) could have potentionally been disastrous. Because of Epic's low GM-intervention policy, getting the fellow kicked for greifing wasn't a possibility. At best given the worst situation we could kill him, but he could still respawn on deed, or simply travel from spawn, and cause havok once again, since revoking is something he has to do himself. I would like to propose three possible soultions for this problem. 1) Institute a /votekick that functions like /vote but to remove the player from town instead of promoting to mayor. This follows the meaning of democracy and is possibly ideal. 2) Allow the current mayor to revert back to dictatorship. In our situation with the founding mayor being gone we had no options, though this solution might pose some problems down the line. 3) Remove the democracy aspect. I'm aware dictatorships can be outvoted still, (and probably would have been the better option for us if we weren't cycling through villagers left and right), but this political type seems redundant, especially since there's no way to turn back without the founding mayor.

There are sandwiches... Racism. Hemp and Marijuana look just about the same (same species). Grafting isn't really for reproduction. If you can drink it and catfish and trout live there, maybe its not salt water... As for the rest its a fantasy game. Brown bears are usually bigger than blacks. You can use a person as storage, when you get a girlfriend and she asks you to go shopping with her, you'll see.

Prologue: (Please read back to be familiar with the arc of the story) NQ6 Part 1 http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/77832-n-q-6-part-one-the-finale-im-sailing-away/ *************************************************************************************************************************************************** Quest Storyline ****************** During the voyage to Release, Archaegeo revealed that he had been commissioned by the King to increase both commerce and travel between the realms of Pristine and Release. Originally, when Neosophy was built northwest of Blossom, it was believed that location would suffice. However, after living there a few months, he discovered that not only did shifting winds and distance make for a very long voyage to the southern neighbor, but that due to the popularity of the North there was not sufficient room to train the new traders the King had provided for this commission. After moving to the south, Neosophy's Crown was formed, named in honor of the King's faith in Archaegeo. Three traders were trained, and, through a series of events, the general populace became aware of some of the events leading up to this journey. (NQ1-NQ5) A group of those who cannot resist intrigue, along with those who had stuck their noses in previously, set sail from Moonshadow Harbor upon a cog sailed by Master Shipwright Tayne, and one helmed by Archaegeo himself, destination: Release. One there, their goal was revealed. While Archaegeo will use the traders provided by the King to establish commercial relations, those on the two Cogs will seek out locations to build a King's Wayhouse, to help travellers find comfort and safety on long journeys. Objectives ************ CONTEST ENDS AT 6:00pm PST (9:00pm EST, OMG Early GMT) on Wednesday, March 27th. No entries after this time will be considered. A three day poll will then be conducted for popular vote points (see below). Final winner to be announced Saturday, 30 March. The objective is build a King's Wayhouse that is in a useful location, asthetically pleasing, and furnished for travellers' visits. Anyone can win this, it does not require massive skills to accomplish the things below in one week. You may start on day six and, if noone else tried, win by making a simple 1x1 shack anywhere. Those on the initial journey simply get a head start. Rules: 1) Each entry must take a before, during, and after picture of their location to document the construction. 2) Entries must be begun on wild land (Not on a deed or in a perimeter of a deed). You may deed the area if you wish after beginning, however the Wayhouse must be open to everyone and should remain so after the contest is over (though of course this would be up to the writ holder). Remember that you can hold a deed on Release even if you hold one on Pristine. 3) Entries must consist at a minimum of a 1x1 Wayhouse (and thus a contestant could be finished in a couple of hours). 4) Entries may consist of a maximum of a 11x11 (default deed size) location, with up to 5x5 used for the Wayhouse (any height, but structure must be complete before contest ends). 5) Teamwork is allowed, but only one person who holds the Wayhouse writ and participated in its contruction will be eligible for the reward. 6) You should not start an entry within 10 tiles of the boundary of another entry (honor system). 7) You may obtain materials from the wild, or buy them off of Release denziens. Points will be lost for any actions cause ill-will with the native population Judging Criteria: 1) Overall asthetic design (40 pts) - How does it look? One week is enough time for some vegetation to grow in, for you to build more than a 1x1 shack. This is a challenge of your ability to put together a design that looks asthetically appealing and makes good use of its space in one week. (Archaegeo's Points) 2) What does the general populace think? (20 points, based on poll results) 3) Amenities offered (20 pts) - Is there a bed? Is there a water source? Is there a means of obtaining food. Does it help travellers reach their destination (storage for horses)? Is it initally stocked with any materials? 4) Location, location, location (10 pts) - Is it in an easy to access, or more importantly, useful location for the traveller needing a place to stop for the night. Ideal locations would be at dangerous areas along major routes of travel. 5) Good Will (10 pts) - Did you do anything during the construction to garner good will with the natives? Points can be lost here if you angered members of Release through your actions. Once your entry is complete, reply to this post with an entry containing: 1) Before, during, after pictures (I recommend using imgur.com). Screenshots can be taken by hitting F11 (default). You can turn off the UI by hitting F10. Location of the screenshots is revealed by hitting F1. 2) Marked location on this map http://impgal.site90.com/wurm/releasetpikols.jpg - If someone goes looking for it, they should find it based on map location. Download the jpg and use Paint to mark it if you wish. 3) Description of your Wayhouse: why you built it where you built it, why you think it should win. Addtional Notes: I understand that if not deeded, others might grief or steal from your location. Hence do not post till complete, and be sure to follow Enclosure rules if needed. I will visit the ones I consider to be top contenders, but the majority of the points will come from your "travel brochure", i.e. your post below meeting conditions 1-3 above. Reward (Winner may choose second or third place prize if desired, second place will then choose, and leftover goes to third place) ************ Grand Prize: A New Cog, in wood of winners choice (Donated by Tayne, a 20s value) Second Place: A mystery package of prizes (Worth more or less than 5 silver) Third Place: 5 silver ***************************************************************************************************************************************************

Two more screenshots from alpha version (roofs are not ready yet, I am currently working on them): Everything will be ready in about a week, in the worst case maximum two weeks. Every "resource" (floors, walls and roofs - everything except grass and skies) is imported to the program via text file, png textures and .obj models (no Collada models support, so every model must be imported to Blender and saved as .obj) - everything is so simple that almost everybody should be able to modify existing resources and add new without problems.

Just a couple more ideas.. One option would be to when opening a chat to anyone, it would not respond about their availability, e.g. if they are online of not, so the only response would be if they chatted back.. Also this could be used even for 'ignored' players, the message could just get lost, so you think you have a chat open to them, but they dont get the chat window, so therefore cant respond (could make it if they opened one to you then you could chat). ps, adding friends remotely is being considered, but most likely will require a /invitations to be performed by the recipient, and may even work over servers, so you can friend with anyone anywhere if they allow it.

THis is true, there are other ways to chat to people in game. However, the important part to note is that an enemy player in game, can be in password protected chat systems, or IRC under a different name, and thus remain hidden from enemies, while providing an in game method of pming an enemy will provide a way to find out for sure if someone is online or not. THAT is the issue, not whether enemies should be allowed to talk or not. I wouldn't mind chatting with people in other kingdoms from time to time, but it's the abuse of the system that is the issue, and other chat methods outside the game have ways to prevent it, while in-game wouldn't.

To me, being a priest is difficult, arduous, annoying... But when you get that surprise 88 cast and end up making 12s it's all worth it again. Priests are massive games of patience - the gods are immortal, they can wait around all day and give us enchants whenever they do or don't want to. We have to accept that. Though admittedly, as an intermittent RSI sufferer myself, pan loading isn't much fun x)

To me, Wurm is about exploring the extremes of terraforming and having neat looking stuff to go 'ooh' at. I pretty much kill only creatures that wander up and interrupt my working. They are a nuisance IMO, yet others play just for the hunting it seems. Different playstyles. I like your idea, it sounds fun but it would not sustain me the way sculpting my deed does.

"There is a simple question to this If you do not want to pvp, if you do not like pvp, why join a pvp cluster?" Pvp is more then direct combat. By crafting armor and weapons for 'hardcore pvpers' you are contributing to the war. Many people may join in on pvp when confident of their skills. Home servers provide a safe place to train up to that level. 70fs is easy but weaponskill and archery takes time. Besides...until you've had time to grind an armor/shield crafting skill you won't have maybe more then ONE set of armor u bought from a merch. Above all else is the single most important reason to play on epic. Freedom sucks. You don't have the -freedom- to do 90% of the stuff you want. But thats another topic. As for myself...I play on affliction. Don't mind pvp...but know i have no chance yet. I've been busy setting up a deed and getting a wall higher then 50ql so my equally lame set of tools doesn't get stolen before I have a chance to even start smithing. Home servers provide me with a 'reasonably safe' place to get prepped for pvp. But with the combat system of wurm...I'll admit I don't find it too appealing.
  44. 1 point
This is simply absurd. Everyone agrees that elevation sucks, is mechanically unsound and over the long term not very much fun. How people think the solution to that issue is to apply the same broken crappy mechanics and structures to the three other cluster servers that do NOT suck, are mechanically reasonably sound and over the long term by and large fun. thus magically (delusionally) fixing elevation without destroying the Homes (which are the only thing keeping Epic worth operating at all.) As much as it's danced around and side stepped with "This is a PvP server" (we know and we have always known that since day one that Epic is a PvP enabled server cluster. Enabled and mandated by decree are not the same thing) This entire ragged campaign still boils down to: 1. Many of the accounts active on elevation which by almost default are also usually the highest combat skilled accounts in Wurm are bored of fighting the other skilled Epic faction players and demand that the home servers be stripped of any and all impediments and turn into a shooting gallery or private prey tank for their entertainment. They of course assume that the inferior home server players should be "honored" to be slaughtered by such leet PvPers and can't imagine why they both would not stay on epic in such a feudal arrangement. 2. Said leets feel entitled to decide what PvP is and how it will be done and that anyone who disagrees, argues or dares to say no (especially from the home server serfs) should be banished to Freedom or banned altogether. 3. Anyone found not PvP by the rules set forth by said leets is cheating and thus should be banned or if not deported to freedom.

First off, let me say that this has been one huge, amazing adventure. When I left Pristine last week, I had no idea what to expect. I had my armor and weapons, basic tools, a couple meals, and some rags and healing covers. I had no idea what we would be expected to do, but it felt oddly like some strange "Wurm Survivor" scenario - stay alive, and maybe I'd have a chance at winning. I was one of the initial group who left with Archaegeo from Moonshadow Docks on Wednesday night. Arch gave the order to load up, and I tried not to be nervous as I jumped aboard. The view from the crow's nest was amazing, and we were on Release before I knew it. Arch finally revealed the next portion of our quest: [21:10:01] <Archaegeo> Now for the story, the madness behind the method.... [21:10:23] Gnatthegnome cackles. I like madness [21:10:23] <Archaegeo> Several months ago the King commissioned me to increase both travel and commerce between realms [21:10:38] <Archaegeo> At that time, I set up Neosophy northwest of Blossom [21:10:57] <Archaegeo> Unfortunately, tides, shifting winds, and the sheer distance made travel from there problematic [21:11:14] <Archaegeo> Added to that, the King provided new traders for me to train [21:11:28] <Archaegeo> However they cannot work close to one another and still learn their craft [21:12:02] <Archaegeo> The north was too crowded, and so, we pulled up stakes and moved, now living on the mountain above Moonshadow, at Neosophy's Crown [21:12:16] <Archaegeo> I am here to handle the commerce side of things [21:12:31] <Archaegeo> The rest of you, should you choose to assist, to ease the travel side [21:12:52] <Archaegeo> We will deposit you on shore, either at the popular landing spot ahead, or to the east or west of it as you choose [21:13:08] <Archaegeo> You will then have one week to establish a King's Wayhouse, for travellers As we headed to the Northern coast line, Archaegeo gave us each the option to be dropped off at a small, central dock area (deeded, which would provide some protection), or somewhere along the Northern coastline to the East or West. My mind was racing at this point - I hadn't brought any materials over with me, which meant that I was going to have to find a way to obtain anything I needed here, or find a way back to Pristine and back down again for supplies. I'll admit, I nearly decided to just go back home at this point - I play on multiple servers already, and this sounded like a much larger project than I was ready to dig into. But when it came down to it, this sounded like quite an adventure, and I couldn't give up the challenge. After carefully reading through the requirements a couple times, I decided to disembark at the small dock area. I'm pretty sure they all wondered if I was okay, or even still alive, as I stood on the docks for quite some time pondering my next move. A couple key parts stood out to me most: "to help travellers find comfort and safety on long journeys" and "dangerous areas along major routes of travel". This was my first time ever stepping foot on Release - I knew nothing at all about the geography or the people here. My first thought was to pull up the forums and see if I could find any clues - and sure enough, a certain post caught my eye. Reading through, I saw: This is perfect! A market in progress, with a road that's dangerous for travelers?! It's like Lotus knew I was coming and posted this just to get my attention. I sent him a message immediately, telling him about my project and asking if he thought his area would be suitable for (and accepting of!) my plans. He proved to be very pleasant and helpful, and after talking to him about the area some more, I was looking forward to seeing the area for myself - it sounded too good to be true. Now, at this point, I was still stuck on the Northern shore with no materials - except for some iron, as a friendly local was nice enough to lead me to the nearest iron mine. I realized that I was going to need both tools and materials to get this project done - so I loaded up my husband's character (back on Pristine) with a handful of tools and a few materials, and set him off for Release in our little rowboat. I didn't make it down to the desert until Thursday afternoon. On first glance, I realized that it could certainly use a safe place to retreat. I explored for a bit, getting a feel for the lay of the land, and then headed back to the boat to gather up our few supplies and get started on a cart - when I suddenly realized I was being chased by a crocodile. I'm wearing armor luckily, traveling pretty light, and have nearly full stamina, so I figure I can easily run it off to the nearest deed. Turns out, the nearest deed was quite a bit farther away than I thought. I hit the deed line as I ran out of stamina, and somehow managed to crawl through the deed until I found an unlocked fence to hide in. I had 8% health left, and was incredibly glad that I hadn't left all the cotton on the boat while I went exploring! While a near-death experience might have scared some folks away, to my crazy mind, it really made it completely clear to me that I'd found my spot. After talking to the local alliance some, I chose a spot directly off the main road on the desert side. There are several deeds within local range, and it's possible to drag hostile critters off to those deeds if you're on a horse or in a cart, but on foot you'll run out of stamina before you can ever reach them (as I found out quite well in this last week!). Lotus has a gorgeous marketplace planned on the water on one end of the highway, but most of the foot traffic to get to it will need to use this very dangerous road to get there. Both sides of it are lined with scorpion and crocodiles mainly, but in my week here I've also seen bears, goblins, spiders, hell hounds, and hell scorpions. Since there is already a market planned nearby, our primary focus was to assist anyone wishing to travel through this area. Given that we're also working near the edge of the desert, we also didn't want to touch too much of the natural hunting ground found within. So our plan focused on providing shelter to any traveler who might need it, while having a minimal impact on the nearby environment. ============================= The project itself: The Willow Tree Inn is a three-story, 3x3 house located at the highest peak of the major highway through the desert. On the first floor, there is an oven and an FSB in one alcove, equipped with some food and a frying pan. In an adjacent corner, a table and two chairs rest, waiting for weary travelers to sit down and enjoy a meal. In a second alcove sits a forge and a large anvil, with a BSB full of wood scraps nearby. The BSB also contains some cotton and materials to make healing covers with - perfect for those who have narrowly escaped the nasty critters outside. On the second floor, there are 4 corner rooms, each containing a bed and a large chest to store items in. In between the rooms are balconies overlooking the desert - and what a view it is! Since the house is at the highest point in the road, it you can see quite a distance in any direction from the third story lookout point. In addition, it can be seen from either direction, so anyone running for their lives can see that there's a safe house ahead. Just in case a nice run through the desert may have dried you out some, there's a conveniently-located well just a few tiles from the entrance. For those looking for mail access, there's a 30 Courier mailbox located immediately outside the front door of the inn. A sign out front proclaims: "Travelers Welcome!" The crowning achievement of the Willow Tree Inn is the 50ql guard tower behind the house itself. I can't take full credit for this on my own - while a guard tower was always part of my project, we didn't think there would be enough time left to finish it before the competition ended. Wednesday morning, the entire alliance banded together and we were able to finish the guard tower in six hours this afternoon, with enough time to imp it afterwards! The guard tower sits immediately behind the Inn. Surrounded by several willow trees, the guard tower and Inn work together to form an oasis-like safehaven in the middle of the desert. After the competition ends, I've made an arrangement with a nearby deed owner to pass along the writ so that he can keep the Willow Tree Inn maintained for any future travelers to make use of its services. For (many!) more images of the inn itself (both inside and out), and the work while it was in progress, please see the whole album here. (Warning, I took nearly 200 screenshots and I haven't sorted through them yet. There's a LOT to see.) ============================= To the folks in the nearby alliance: Thank you all so much for everything you guys did to give us a hand on this project. You all listened to my crazy ramblings about building a house in the middle of the desert, and were willing to let me build the house itself, and to help me position the guard tower in such a way that it would let you build more along the road later. Every one of you helped us locate the materials we needed to build, and we couldn't have done it without you. Abrem and family - thank you for letting us join your deed (and alliance!) for the duration of our visit, and for giving us open access to anything we might need on your deed. You guys have been amazing hosts to us while we worked on this. Lotus - thank you for listening to my initial plan and putting me in touch with other folks in the alliance to make sure everyone was okay with a random building going up! I never would have found this spot had it not been for your post. Earwicker - there's no way we could possibly have gotten that guard tower up today without your hard work attaching pieces. Amazing! Zabba - thank you so much for your help in finding materials, and the delivery of a few last-minute touches. You guys have all been amazing, and I am so sad to go back home to Pristine tonight after hanging out with you all for a week! Regardless of "winning" or "losing" this competition, this week has been wonderful, and I hope to come back and visit you guys again soon!

My entry is called Thornblade. Built on the waterfront it is located at 23x, 4y along the northern shore of Release. It is easy to find for ships sailing south from Blossom and south from the middle of Pristine. The building is 5x2 with a 3x2 second floor. There is a nice dock and a stable area. Has a mine with iron and several slate veins uncovered. Most of the work involved roadwork. I built a path up and over the hill and connected it to the highway which I extended to the base of the mtn behind the waystation. On the lower floor is a forge and oven for the travelers to eat and repair thier tools and armor. With an area for merchants and traders. Upstairs on the second floor are 3 beds for them to rest their weary bodied during their visits. One of the main goals I had was for it to be useful without taking and valuable land from the locals. I chose an unused area and made the land along the water where there otherwise was just a cliff. It was alot of fun building and I hope the server finds it a useful place. Thanks to Archaegeo for all he did to make this possable. Archaegeo taking us on a journey. Where it all started. Unfortunately some of me beginning screenshots of the area were blank. After teraforming was done. Finished Roads [ Construction Completed Release Map

So~ plain and simple. I'm looking for a dedicated premium-player to be a villager and help build and maintain my deeds in Exodus and/or Deliverance (Port Hibernia) but primarily Exodus (Lux). Triple client-ing will bring my computer to a certain demise These are what I want you to do: Build. I won't force you to build unless I'm building so I won't "exploit" you . Making materials (bricks, planks, mortar, nails etc). I won't ask unless I contribute. Load and unload pans (more details provided when asked) for 1s per 1000 pans. Make charcoal piles Tend farms/animals and perhaps train other newcomers. What you can do: Kill stuff and get your FS up! Grind your own smithing skills. Make a priest (Lux has high quality gold altars of all deities) Explore and shoot some arrows at the nearby troll king. And much, much more. Here is the where you will be enticed if not enticed already: -Both are waterfront deeds, with easy access to each other and Chaos (if you are looking into PvPing) -Lux has more than enough utmost iron and access to copper, zinc, and silver from the local area. -Lux has a massive farm both on and off deed so you can skill farming whenever! -If you are active and helpful and I can see that, you will get to use our on-deed trader, get free 90QL tools, and get free Vyn and Fo enchants. Some critical things: -Get a Skype, the few of us like to chat, make jokes, and communicate. -We are in the U.S. West timezone (GMT-8) so I would prefer someone who can play during the evening/late night time of this timezone. - RL gets in the way, I know. Don't worry about Wurm Well. That was tedious wasn't it? Either way, throw me a PM or reply to this post .

Fair warning, I don't play on any of the PvP Wurm servers, so those of you who feel I shouldn't have an opinion can just skip this post without replying. In my humble opinion, a deed should be off limits to raiding if there aren't any residents online to defend it. Why, because if the only players involved in a raid are the raiders, then there's NO PVP OCCURRING. Also, if you're in a raiding group, come upon a deed with one or two residents online who log off because they know you're too powerful for them, go find another deed to raid! The residents SHOULD be able to log out to avoid a one-sided gang ###### if they want to. For those who say the casual player shouldn't be on a PvP server in the first place, fine. Get rid of them. That way there will be a few dozen people online at any given time on these servers, PvP will die, and the devs can devote all their time to the freedom servers where the vast majority of people play anyway.

Sounds like a pretty bad idea to me. 1. There are no merchant exploits on home servers, it's alts that are getting exploited for safe storage. There's no need to use merchants for storage - thus nerfing merchants will do nothing for limiting safe storage. 2. There is no widespread support for this at all. There seems to be support from Elevation players, please do not confuse Elevation players with Epic players. The majority of Epic players does not play on Elevation.

Average red clay or cobblestone brick is 2-3kg. This is 5-7.5 bricks per 15kg construction from a 20kg stone, so the art and menu is not really realistic calling it A brick. Furthermore if you want to revisit the qty, then you need to go even further back and look at obtaining the rock shards in the first place. Do you really think the volume and weight of rock in a 2mx2mx2m (or whatever a tile is) is only 50 rocks? Because in that cube of rock they would stack less than 4 on a side and tall. They simply are not that big. But look at the art work it is not one shard that you mine but four shards. And if we want to be realistic, if you are paving bricks you would not put them on gravel as they would rock and tilt. You instead would put them on sand so that they can seat evenly. While the best roads such as a roman city may also have an underlay gravel bed for drainage and weed control that the sand goes over, the inexpensive cobbles in a medieval village were likely laid right on the packed dirt road that existed already. So if redoing it for realism then successive layers should provide incremental decay/speed improvements, and each layer can be a road. This way roads can be upgraded over time and you can take shortcuts and leave layers out. layer 1) packed dirt layer 2) gravel optional layer 3) sand optional layer 4) bricks (or slabs) But absolutely NO increase in quantities if you do not fix the wrist breaking carpal tunnel repetitive motion causing menu creation system. Hot key last created item or forget about realism. When a spider kills us we do not die in real life. I do not need to have my wrist in a splint from chiseling rocks in a game. While on the topic of construction qty, a large nail is not a large nail, it is a handful of nails. Evidenced by saying you nail in a plank when putting up a wall which uses '1' (handful) of nail, and the artwork which does not show a single nail.
