    To be fair, because of this review, I found out about this game. It sounded like it required a time investment, and it had a payoff in its own right. Well, 50 hours of game time later, I'm hooked. I'm currently on Pristine and one of the players there took me under his wing and helped me get set up on his deed, and I'm just loving everything about this game. I didn't see that review as negative at all, but then again, I also LOVED X3, which has a metascore of 71, so there is that. Publicity is good, negative or positive.

    I wanted to thank deliverance's community, I've been a hardcore gamer (by that I mean I play everyday for 10+ hours) for about 11 years now, and I have never in my time been helped as much as I have here, or been greeted with hello's everytime I get on. Withen the 4 short days I have been on, I can tell I've found my next game, possibly my final one as it seems this is Exacly what I've been looking for. Medieval theme - tons of skills, that can actually be hard - the best players I have seen in my entire life - and I could continue on for hours, ha. Thanks everyone for the amazing help y'all have given me. I hope to meet everyone adventually, if you'd like, hit me up in game chat sometime, I'd love to talk why playing (makes grinding logic way easier) TLDR: Thanks for all the help - Continue being a great community!!!

    My suggestion is about addition in Wurm new type of clothes. Main purpose - to give more individuality for avatars and to provide alternative permanent wearing armor by avatars. Working clothes. - For each skill, which give the titles, add special clothing set, which includes 6 different part of clothes (we have 6 parts total - headwear, shirt, pants, and couples - sleeves, gloves, footwear). But for maximum effect enough 4 of 6 parts, and if you have more - it will give bonuses as for 4 whatever. - Common working clothes does not provide bonuses (just little armor like clothes) and have unique appearance (modest version). - Rare working clothes adds some minimum bonuses for appropriate skill for each part of clothes (-0,1 sec for duration of action, -0,4 max). And unique appearance more neat and decent, then common. - Supreme working clothes add bonuses for appropriate skill for each part of clothes (-0,2 sec for duration of action, -0,8 max). Gorgeous appearance. - Fantastic working clothes add bonuses for appropriate skill for each part of clothes (-0,3 sec for duration of action, -1,2 max). And magnificent appearance. - If you wear clothes from different sets, you will receive bonuses only from best items and set. - Sleeves, gloves, footwear give bonuses only in pairs. To create work clothing required materials of good quality (50+ cloth, leather or metal components) and skill 25+. Nobility clothes. Rich and very impressive clothes from expensive materials. To create Nobility clothes required materials of high quality 80+ and skill 50+. It may differ depending on the rarity. It may gain some bonuses for trade (discount 1% per item).

    The new servers will be joined with the existing freedom cluster when it's time, which I don't see happening in many months. Someone asked if it could take 2 years, and yes there is no set time limit, but I have a hunch that it's going to happen before that. If people on those servers strongly oppose to joining until then and there are no other strong reasons to keep the cluster together that's how long it may take. I think many of you can make advanced estimates out of this information and since I don't have any more at the moment that's what we have to live with. If you absolutely _have_ to know because you can't plan otherwise.. I suggest you.. reconsider We may add some checkbox that players on those servers can click which shows if they're opposed or pro joining. This will give a good indicator.

    Ouch. Wurm got a biting review in PC Gamer magazine: http://www.pcgamer.c...-online-review/ Most of the above quotes were wrapped in comforting niceties, but they seem to have been there only to soften the blow a bit. I'd call this a pretty biting review, basically a bucket full of raw meat thrown to the wolves. Like it or not, this is the sort of story new players (the 90% who bounce hard off of the game) are telling their friends about Wurm. Possible responses to this review include: Denial. Review? What review? Circle the wagons. Insist loudly that this is the best of all possible sandbox MMOs. Renewed focus on user interface, user experience, and new player experience. Show the player community visible, real, tangible progress on user interface improvements and not empty promises. Lift the veil of secrecy and work with the players to hammer out a UI that works for Wurm, or give us a Lua API and let us make our own.

    They're still rooted to the same spot, so whats the difference? Now we just have, yet again, a huge aggro range where no one can build stuff in until the dragon gets killed. I have absolutely no clue why people are crazy about the inconvenience that is dragons. Here's how to simulate how dragons work in the game now, just make a random giant circular area instant death and then 4 months after the server is up randomly award anyone with 60+fs with pieces of dragonhide/drake. There we go, that's what dragons actually mean. So what are the ideas being thrown around here.... 1. Make them teleport randomly around the map. Ok so now we have marauding dragons, wow, I can't really beleive people would suggest this after thinking about the consequences logically. might as well just implement meteor showers that randomly blow up stuff. 2. Give them wings so they can be free.... ...until we just pay a mag priest or make our own to stone wall them into a mountain they conveniently spawn on top of. 3. Give them a respawn rate once every 6 months or so. This I think I might be able to live with until they respawn then the poor sap who lives too close to the new dragon spawn point will be on here with a pitch fork looking for the guy who suggested this. To be honest I really don't like dragons or any other unique that's in the game, and as I said before I can't wait till their all killed so we can get on with playing Wurm. If it's some sort of end game raid mechanic you're looking for then there are far better implementations then the current iterations of uniques. I'm quite positive Rolf has something up his sleeve about uniques, the idea of these mobs that only spawn once, get killed after about 4 months and are never seen again on servers that last years just seems a tad incomplete.

    There are a good number of russians who play this game. Its good to know he lets them. He does have epic taming skills, just ask his country men. His PMK is one you dont want to mess with!

    Actually rare dirt is best used to finish a coalpile. In case of making a rare coalpile (2% chance finishing it with rare dirt) it will be producing more coal and has chance of making every produced items rare. I once got 7 rares out of one rare pile.

    We are used to all the quirks and oddities that follow the endless list of bugs, the dude who wrote the review saw it with fresh eyes. We've gotten used to the un-user-friendly interface and we enjoy the fact that the game isn't MineCraft fast. The interface really needs work, especially since the morepart of the actions you perform in the game are dependent on it.

    With the new release and the expansion of houses upwards, I feel the need to point out that a new need has arisen... Decorative items. A person can only build so many forges, tables, chairs, beds, chests... The floors above are empty! Not to mention marble /slate are in game without new aplications. So I'd like to propose a few things (keeping in mind existing items and trying to not involve new mechanics) 1. Pots and vases. We could be using pottery & masonry for more items, that we can place and /or move both in and outdoors. some examples: 2. Indoor plants. We could use some of them to plant a rose bush or a lavender, a gardenia.... and place it on our terrace, rooftop, livingroom, whatever. Or maybe right and left from inner door. Just imagine what each of us could do with so small adition. 3. Wall trophies and embroidments. I think you will all agree the walls are empty. All I propose is 2 simple things -easy to code, no graphical hassle. * Animal head trophies for the wall. We got the animal models, it's probably a matter of cropping. (using leatherworking? puppeteering?) We could have the option to behead an animal at the butchering stage. Then use a wooden plaque on the head and make a trophy for the wall. * Wall embroidments. Can be either on Square piece of cloth or on papyrus sheets Concerning the designs they can have, we can use the ones from Shop sign (and -btw- why can't we have those designs on our own banners as well? empty banners are just stupid) 4. More carpets. This time decorative, not for meditation. I kinda hate the red-yellow colors, and the size is too small. We could add some bigger carpets with more browns, blues and red colors to use on our floors. We all know tailoring has too few items in list to be usefull anyway... 5. Small tables. Personally, I've used a small chest as a bedside table, a wooden altar, a stool, and -ofcourse- a colossus brick. However, having exhausted creative ideas, you'd still agree a mini model of the square table would be best. Better yet, a bedstand with the wooden altar model but not altar-usability (not all are followers and those that are, have too many altars to destroy if they change faith) 6. Deity statues. A bit oversized, maybe a tad taller than troll statue, the 4 gods are surely missing from a good altar-spot. I'd risk public outrage saying it, but I'd also like a mini obelisk from marble /slate. Smaller even than a pillar. Hey, why not? 7. Garden masonry. We got stone benches. Why not tables too? Why not a marble set? Easy adition 8. Cypress trees. I'd like these in game. If they also replace the bothersomme lemmons -even better!!! I'm not suggesting to quit working on major game tweaks and bug fixes. BUt you'll agree that I'm not asking for crazy stuff either. Edit: New adition -Cypress trees Edit: Made images a bit smaller but they revert to original links. If someone knows how to reduce their size, let me know plz.

    For clarification: They do indeed have the water effect even if not on a water tile and even if they contain no water. Decorative version of the fountain also has water effect.

Focus on improving the UI and new player experience and reach out to the community to collectively help create something that works smoother than the current MUD-oriented interface, but also come to terms with the fact that Wurm's niche appeal will always limit the number of players as well as the number of favorable reviews.

    Maybe if this was chosen that could just be a tradeoff, dying from posion or rt faster, but you heal faster. comapre it to the insanity level 11, you take 50% less damage, but heal 50% slower. personally i'd prefer this one too, but I put any possibilites out there

    This was an idea that we talked about in Kchat a few days ago which really interested me, so i had a think and built on some ideas Basically a new use for Jewellery other than just Nolocate or looks, the idea is you Heat the Jewellery and activate a Gem and choose to "Set" the gem into the jewellery, making for example an Opal Necklace. Enchantment Basically a priest can Enchant the Necklace with one special effect (stackable with Nolocate) The Gem is then Charged using vessel, up to the maximum power dependant on jewellery Quality if the priest has favor, that favor is then used to power the enchantment on the necklace, Necklaces dont lose quality as gems do on use, but can be recharged again with Vessel, or charged multiple times to reach the maximum charge. Charges would show with standard gem examine text. All items are put into cooldown on use dependant on spell used, and the player using them receives a generic cooldown of 30 mins also to prevent carrying tons of them. Special Gem's E.G black opal, would allow the necklace to hold double favor Fo - Fortify Body - Provides an on use effect to all allies within 3 tiles which lasts for 10 minutes and increases Natural healing potency dependant on power (Maximum 30% at 100 Power) Cannot be used again for 1 hour - Uses 50 Favor Vynora - Reveal Player - On use reveals any stealthed player to the user within X amount of tiles up to 4 tiles away at 100 Power, so 25 power - 1 tile, 50 power - 2 tiles, 75 power - 3 tiles cannot be used again for 2 hours - uses 75 favor (If no player is found the amulet will automatically locate any corpses of the player who used it, to give it a PvE use) Magranon - Warriors Fury - Causes any creatures who are attacking you to stop for maximum 40 seconds at 100power, does not affect players or tame/zombified/dominated creatures and cannot be used again for 30 minutes - 50 favor Libila - Raging Spirit - on use affects all allies in a 3 tile radius with an effect that lasts for 5 minutes at 100 power, if the ally dies while affects by this buff, there is a 50% chance that their spirit will rise to seek vengeance, spirits will be about as strong as a crocodile and will be labelled as "spirit of (player name)" but they will be destroyed upon taking any damage (in the same way as chickens fall down dead after you swing at them) has a 2 hour cooldown - 75 favor I've tried to make each effect useful to everyone so that these items are good for trade, and desirable as loot by anyone and also useful in PvE and PvP. i'm sure most people will hate this idea, but eh.... may as well put it out there

    So I now have this spell, so I saved up the favour and cast it on myself. [03:04:04] You now have huge, bulking muscles. So I then checked my stats, no extra body strength, no extra body, nothing. So what does this spell actually do? Is it a hidden buff? You'd think it would just show up on the stats page but it doesn't...so is it actually useless? They should just call it forest giant ego since all it does is make you think you're better.

    When a person goes to sleep they should actually be shown on the bed. This way you can see who is sleeping in what bed and make it easier to choose one that is unoccupied if needed.

You played this sort of game before computers lol You pick a game, roll up a character using D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, and D20's, or in any combination that said game requires. Different rolls mean different stats and such. You down with your brand new toon with a game master, or dungeon master as they are also called, and he paints a scene and asks what you'd like to do, basically how the game goes lol. Really fun, I played Palladium with some friends for a while

    the steel version of the magic chest is most effective for those that like blacksmithing. it holds around 800kg lumps if you so choose. very handy since you can toss it into a fire and burning doesn't happen. The ql of the lumps never decay and you have tons of holding room for your items. but you must leave the saucepan fountain in the steel chest of course, otherwise damage happens. All in all its very handy and is considered an artifact in wurm.

    I do love the new fountains. My only gripe, though, is they're a bit too short and "thin" to hide lamps inside, now. A lighted fountain is such a pretty effect - especially now, with the animation - I hate to lose it due to an ugly lamp poking out. ;-)

Complete with needle and string of cloth Used under the saddle Is visable and dyable Changeable when the horse is tamed Very little speed bonus due to improved horse comfort Actually more of a fasion thing; can help to keep fully tacked horses apart without looking at their names Skeep Skin Saddle Cover Requires a sheep skin (butcher material, hide + fur) and scissors to create. Complete with needle and string of cloth (for attachment) Goes on top of the saddle More comfort for the rider, slight speed bonus Non-dyable, stays the colour of the sheep (black sheep skin = black fur on the saddle)
