Lets not get to caught up in the numbers as there are what 10 servers now? 700 total players in Wurm would avg to about 70/server and a good portion of those are free to play or priest alts. Honestly the best times in Wurm were when there was a home server and a Wild server that you could freely travel between. Let there be weekend warriors that skill up in the safety of the home server. Let the Wild players who want a break travel to home for just that reason. If there are issues with the economy, there have been multiple suggestions on how to keep the two separate.

Wild shouldn't have been changed in the first place. I get what everyone is saying about pvp and why we want/need it and agree with most so dont twist what I'm about to say. If he's going to take the time to actually fix some things as he brings it back then so be it. He's going to take however long he wants no matter how much we complain so why bother. Everytime he gives something the complaining starts because people see it as not good enough. I would bet from his pov he doesnt want to really do anything because people are kicking and screaming throwing a tantrum cause it isnt 100% right now. We cant have everything right this second. Maybe if the tantrums stopped we would get more faster. I understand being a paying customer and expecting alot more and on a more professional schedule. But I really dont think Rolf looks at it the same way we do.

The CMP enters a new era. Please read the entire post before submitting information. Last Updated: 4th February 2013 High-res edition: http://noizeviolatio...wurm/CelebH.png or http://tinyurl.com/94dxfme Low-res edition: http://noizeviolatio...wurm/CelebL.png or http://tinyurl.com/8qjvqyu GMAP edition: http://tinyurl.com/ccb9dnd (this url will change with each update and updated less often) And now the complicated bits. Submissions Submissions should be made on this thread or with a private message. Deed submissions must include; Deed name Deed location Deed size/upkeep (do not include perimeter sizes) Alliance name, members and preferred colour (if applicable). Requests for special trade icons, traders, mailboxes, merchants or other icons as detailed below. Terrain submissions should be posted with a diagram. Clay and Tar resources can be submitted as a grid location. Do not submit names for lakes, seas, mountains, islands, that bump by your house, that OMFG awesome bit you once saw while you were hunting... The Grid The map grid is 64*64 squares. Each square represents 32*32 game tiles. The grid's x-axis is numbered 01-64. The grid's y-axis is listed A through to BL. Co-ordinates should be given as XY. e.g. 13AF or 03BB etc. Deeds Deeds are given in four sizes as follows; Homestead: 121 to 440 deed tiles Village: 441 to 1224 deed tiles OR between 1s and 2.449s upkeep (not counting guards) Town: 1225 to 2600 deed tiles OR between 2.45s and 5.2s upkeep (not counting guards) City: Over 2601 deed tiles OR above 5.2s upkeep (not counting guards) Any deed may request for its icon to be represented as a Market, Festival or Sermon site. Deeds requesting to be Markets should have at least 3 filled merchants stalls present. If the deed area is walled off it may request to be represented as a Fortified Village, Walled Town or Walled City. If the deed is named as a castle, citadel or fortress, in-game, then it may request to be represented as a castle icon. Deeds may request one specialist merchant icon. e.g. Leatherworker. Deeds may request mailbox, merchant or trader icons. Alliances Deeds can be shown to belong to an alliance using a colour-code system. Alliances can request a colour for their alliance. Allocation will depend on existing alliances within their area. In some cases where a alliance members are in close proximity to one another, the alliance can choose to have the alliance name on the map instead of individual deed names. Highways and Tunnels Only roads which qualify as Highways under the game rules may be submitted for the map. Cave canals may be submitted. Walkway tunnels that fall under the protection of Highways under the game rules may be submitted. Miscellaneous Deeds requesting to be Markets should have at least 3 filled merchants stalls present. Towers can be submitted by grid location. Towers may not be added if their position overlaps badly with an existing deed. All non-deed symbols/icons may be moved/removed as deeds have priority. Only a small selection of 'trades' or 'crafts' will be available as specialised merchant icons. Please do not repeatedly request more. Excessive squabbling will not convince me to add/amend anything. In fact, it might earn you a turd icon where your deed should be. Removals If you do not wish your deed to be shown, or wish to have it removed from the map, please contact me directly via PM.

Inner City Orphange (Independence Server) New Player Area to "Learn2Play" Wurm Online * We are still under construction but do have a few housing units now available for people to use * Inner City Orphange is intended to help new players ease into Wurm Online by providing public workshop/forge areas, open-access tree farms, public mining and "independent living" cottages for either short or long term. We are not a "village" and there are no social activities or projects beyond what you devise for yourself -- it's intended merely to be a safe area for you to learn on your own using the Wurmpedia Wiki at http://www.wurmpedia.com/ and asking questions of the server CA Help channel. We are located east of Freedom Market and less than five minutes from the new player spawn point. FREE COTTAGES are provided for short or long term living for new players. Each cottage is a sturdy 2x2 cabin with forge, bed, bsb and basic furnishings, and a small private yard for animals or farming. You can stay for a few days while you decide on your plans or find an organized village to join, a few weeks while you work on the skills and resources needed to embark on your own remote homestead, or as long as you like if you decide you enjoy the company of other new players. All housing writs are held by the orphange and "free form building" is not permitted in the area in order to ensure it stays prisitine and accessible for as many as possible. We do have a fewer larger cottages for groups of 4 or more, so let us know if you are interested in larger scaled housing for a group of family/friends. In addition to free player housing, we offer the following resources to new & returning players: The TREE FARM is intended to assure new players will always have access to basic lumber needs, and for learning Carpentry, Fine Carpentry, Bowery and Fletching -- we ask players to NOT clearcut trees for woodcutting skill grinding, and to ONLY cut trees that are Old, Very Old, or Aged. We do accept donations of spouts or tree-planting for anyone who makes to make sure this central-area resource stays supplied for new players! The local PUBLIC MINES now have 5-8 iron veins going and can help players who want to learn Blacksmithing, Weaponsmithing and Armorsmithing, Thanks muchly to Ericbomb, Aelfred, Chaplain & others for expanding the mines!! The Orphanage Workshop has a public access forge. oven and loom. We have some donated items like pelts and whetstones, and are almost finished completing a First Aid Station with some basic first aid items (rags and healing cover ingredients) and a Soup Kitchen with some basic cooking resources (fishing poles and pottery bowls, for making fish stew/gulasch). We now also have a Community Farm for residents of the orphanage who want to skill up in Farming, Animal Husbandry, Milking & Cheesemaking.. We mostly grow Pumpkins and Cotton that the residents can use for Cooking and First Aid. Cotton and leather can also be used by residents wanting to lean Tailoring. Down the road we hope to let "orphans" sell calves and piglets direct to the community to earn ingame coin for their first premium sub. We are trying to work on a coastal Shipbuilding Facility so that new players can build their first rowboat, but this is strill only in planning phases. * FINISHED! We are now set up to help new players who want to make their own rowboat or sailboat for exploring the game by water. Just started a new combat training facility where we soon will provide a variety of low-quality armors and weapons for players to practice with, plus some combat dummies to work on their fighting skill. May try later to add some "supervised" hunting outings. There is two local guard tower as well as a deed spirit templar in the area to make sure new players are relatively safe from roving mobs. (It's never 100% safe, but far safer than most wilderness areas. If the worst scenario happens and you die, its a very quick run back from the starter spawn, and people who can help you recover your corpse and belongings. There are a few rules: Due to limited supply, cottages are currently reserved for "active players" so if you only play a days per month, these are not the option for you. This may change later if we add some "shared housing" options where you share a single house with a couple of assigned roommates. If you do not log in for a week or more, your spot may be re-assigned to another new player who will use it more, and your storage cart will be moved to a secured area where you can reclaim your possessions any time. You are always welcome back again and reassigned to a new cottage. but please let us know if you expect to be gone for any extended time, so that others can use the housing! You need to first make a large cart with a lock for your secured storage. There are trees here you can cut for the lumber, and if needed we can help provide pelts, whetstones, nails and padlocks. You are required to be COURTEOUS to fellow players -- any incidents of thievery, griefing, harassment or intentionally annoying others will result in being removed from the cottage writs. Management reserves the right to define "discourteous behavior" (which includes constant complaints and criticism of the game if it makes playtime less enjoyable for your neighbors). No terraforming or building permanent fences or structures in the perimeter area. You can mine and cut trees as long as you follow reasonable respect for the area -- cut only old, very old and aged trees, and do not randomly mine the floors etc of the mine. In order to ensure everyone can enjoy the resources, you cannot sell resource-intensive "bulk resources" from the area (logs, planks, iron, stone shards) but are welcomed & encouraged to start your own business for labor-intensive finished materials such as tools, armor & weapons, carts, etc. Cottages are meant to be a PRIMARY RESIDENCE, not as a secondary "market area bases" for established characters. You need to PM me an application on the forum for one of the cottages -- just tell me a little about yourself, how you discovered Wurm, how long you have been playing, any plans you have started making etc. There is no requirement to stay for any set period -- if you find someplace else you'd rather be a few hours or days later, that's great! Just let us know if you stop using a cottage, so we can re-assign it to someone else. If you are assigned a cottage, your name will be the only one on the writ (besides mine). Cottages are locked by default to all but the writ-holder, unless you specially request yours be open to anyone. However, if you stop playing or have your hosuing revoked, we are not responsible for items left behind in cottages. For that reason we ask you to have a secured large cart and use it for longtime storage of items you want to keep if you will be gone for more than a week at a time. We will be moving abandoned carts to a cart-corral where owners can reclaim them if they lose their housing priveleges. We are not responsible for items left in cabins if you are gone more than a week without prior arrangement with management. TO APPLY. YOU NEED TO SEND ME A FORUM PM (SEE ABOVE) HOW TO FIND US: From the Howl, run up the hill all the way to the large Freedom market at the tope, turn right (EAST) and then down the hill until you see the "Orphange" building on the left, red houseing on the right. We are on the old location of Point Double Rainbow if you are using older maps: HOW CAN I HELP? If you want to help, we could use a few miners to locate and make accessible new iron veins in the local mine . Or you can donate "raw resources" that might help new players such as extra pelts, whetstones, discarded newbie tools, first aid supplies (rags and heal cover ingredients such as animal guts) etc. At some point we will have a "Soup Kitchen" built, and any chefs are welcomed to come make up a batch of meals for any hungry new players in the greater Howl/FM area We will have drop-off bins for donations or you can give them to us to pass out directly if you want to ensure the items go to those most in need. At some stage we might also organize "armed escort caravans" of wagons for new players who want veteran fighters to escort them while exploring more remote areas of the map where they could settle their own solo homesteads. We hope to find areas an hour or more from the "central zone" that are welcoming areas for new settlers (without disturbing estabkished residents), so if you have any suggestions to make, please let us know! It is also fine for established villages to send "recruiters" into the area in case they can find new players who might enjoy more being part of an organized village -- we are all about helping new players find a longterm home, and that just might be with YOUR village! CONTACT: I prefer to be contacted on the forum but you can also reach me ingame sometimes under the names Neome, Brash or Brashe. ____________________________________________________________________

Independence -Sold- Hello, I'm looking to sell 500 stone bricks (bsb'd @ 16QL) for 75c. The bricks will have to be picked up at Guild of Artificers (41x 45y) on Maple Island as I have no method of transportation for them myself, hence the discount. If you're interested PM me in-game (Kristoff or Blizzara) or post here on the thread. Thanks!

A lot of fur gets wasted in Wurm. I suggest a new use for fur, to make an armor set (or fur clothing) which would provide the same protection as cloth armor with one exception. In winter, fur armor gives a bonus to stamina so that a person wearing fur when traveling in winter will be able to travel further because of the added warmth. It should be a nice enough bonus to stamina loss (say 25% less stam loss when wearing fur in winter). It would be a nice and different use of clothing, and when the new models come out, fur clothing would look really appropriate in the winter time!

What red said. I have been waiting and waiting for pvp to return. Instead of pvp returning even more is taken away and now I kinda lost faith. I will check to see if rolf brought full pvp back from time to time, but I lost all hearth to play now and If raiding doesn't return then I don't think Wurm is a game for me anymore. I hope rolf is realy bringing full pvp back step by step and if he does, sorry for me getting so mad about this initial fase. If he doesn't bring full pvp back then good job at keeping us blind with lies rolf.

The no raiding update is certainly not what the Chaos community wants, as can be seen by the poll here - http://forum.wurmonl...791#entry620791 - More than ~60-70% said this is not what they wanted, where as a mere 20% said this is what they wanted. I can only imagine the only reason Rolf has come to this decision is because certain members of the Chaos community have been whispering deceitful lies and ideas to him which will cater for themselves. This update is not catering for the Chaos population - We want Chaos, that is where we can do what ever the hell we like, where no code will stop us from raiding a fellow server dweller's deed. Chaos boomed up to 70players at peaks, which is the most it has seen in years because full (not this half and half rubbish) pvp was said to be introduced. At this rate i think the whole Chaos community will die out - we have waited 7 months for full pvp to come in - and after rolf saying he will add full pvp twice and not followed with his promise and instead added this rubbish, i think people are losing faith. If people want this half and half stuff maybe it might be a good idea to open a new server for them - However i do not think it should be imposed on Chaos because the current dwellers do not want it! Chaos, or wild, which ever you call it has always been a small community and i think its a waste of time trying to make more people come into a broken server with the bait of no raiding. I have always played on Wild - and pvp/raiding has always been part of my play style, it is what i payed for when i joined this game. Slowly but surely my game, which i loved, is being taken away from me. Im starting to think "is this the game i want to play?". Im sure this is the same for a vast majority of the Chaos population. I was happy, excited and thrilled to see Rolf was changing the server, hell i couldnt wait untill my exams were done so i could start playing the game i once loved, however when this update came in my heart was crushed, i dont want to log in anymore - this isnt the game i want to play. Some say go to epic - I played epic for a good 1 or 2 months, and i turned away from it bored. Chaos/wild has always been what ive been interested and Epic simply is not and option for me. Chaos wants raiding, lets hope Rolf delivers, or im sure he will see a whole community wipe out. ~A hopeful Wild player.

Sometimes I find them to stay too long and trying to figure out which ones were the old ones I placed after the new ones, is quite confusing(that sentence is also confusing). Maybe some way to poof(delete/force delete) these deed markers? Feel the need to add: delete only the markers you have placed from YOUR settlement.

SOmetimes i wish he would have just left things alone. When i started there was Home and there was wild. Home- carebear Wld- PVP. then he decided with no real warning to make home a PVP server. No idea why that was needed. So along came independence. Then he opened Epic. PVP with missions. Great. Then he truned Wild into a carebear server. Too much changing. Seems alot of undoing what was done. It will all eventually be just like it was 3 years ago.
