I am excited about all the updates. Although the reinforced cave floors and the Book of Wisdom are really nice to see! :)

Will that new crafting interface be optional?

Yes, it will.

Further, the old way of crafting will still be available just as it is.

You will still be able to craft exactly like now.

Dear RedBaron_Johan

You rock, thank you for continuing to answer questions after posting the thread.

Please answer one more if you can.

Can we 'load' large magic chests to move them after the update?

:)

Loaded 50 rafts in my Knarr last night with rocks and logs from a BSB to a wagon to my Knarr and then to a BSB (moving em from one deed to another.)

I cant get the "load function" and the new containers quite fast enough ;)

A very impressive amount of awesome new features! Really looking forward to the wagons, how much dirt can we fit in roughly with crates or rafts?

edit: I hope large magical chests are on the load feature :)

i'm praying for the large magic chests loadable too. i have 5 on deli empty.  would love to bring to cele one day.  or sell off to others on deli  if i could load them and move faster then 5" per 30secs. lol

I can feel my wrists already returning to the flexibility of a spry seventy-year-old.

Will the new crafting menu still have an action limit based on mind logic?

I would assume that would carry over in some form yes.

Nice to see all these updates listed that will come into the game on Feb 18. One of those I am most pleased to see is this one:

"Reinforced Cave Floors, For those instances when rock floors just does not feel secure enough." This will be a great addition to the game if implemented properly. Such as, these reinforcements should take the same materials and time to apply as wall reinforcements. Another problem that could arise would be that baddies might apply them to cave floors that are all wacked out of level, so perhaps it would be best if they could only be applied to cave floors that are labeled "flat".

Will just have to see how they work out I guess. I am sure I will be reopening some formerly public mines I had made after re-leveling them and reinforcing is applied to the floors. Then it will be standard procedure for me to reinforce all cave floors in mines that I leave accessible to the public. Some bit of work to do but well worthwhile to in the future have some nice looking, easily traversed and protected mine floors. A very welcome addition to the game, finally!
