Location: Tap Dance Harbour

After some requests from Veterans, I decided to organize a new Tournament in for everyone. For all who never attended on a Tournament before, here are some basic facts you should know.

• You will only use the "spar" function which avoids the death of the loser, due to the fact that the "stronger" Player stops before the final hit happens.
• Don't be scared of attending just because you fear to fight a too high skilled player, you will be put in different Leagues to increase your chance.
• But why should you attend on such an event where you try to almost kill people? You will actually see that those public events make fun, alot of fun. The fact to meet old friends is great in such an environment.
• However, I didn't even mention the worthily prizes you can win. The winner in a League will get great stuff, which goes from Weapons to Tools, even enchants or speed horses are common.
• But I don't have the gear to fight? Armour and your Shield/Weapon of choice will be provided by us. The gear is around 50Ql so there is no advantage of better gearin the whole Tourney.
• The supply of high Ql meals, water and +90Ql cotton is standard in our events.

I hope you got a basic impress of the way we handle with Tournaments. I will now explain the rules and the exact expiration.
 
 

Rules

• Fighting is only allowed with provided gear, you have the right to pick a weapon/shield of your choice.
• The provided gear is only borrowed and have to be give back after the fight.
• The fight starts with the word "start" and ends with the event massage.
• The winner is pronounced in the event message post fight.
• Only Spares are allowed.
• Any kind of off/deff spell and healing during the fight is forbidden.
• Any spells or mediation bonuses which give you an advantage during the fight are forbidden.
• You only can win the prizes of one league, if you win more than one leagues with alts the prizes which you made with your alts will go to the second place of the league.
• If you have mediation bonus which can't be turned off you can fight but without any chances to win anything. You will receive the subtitle [out of competition]

Special rule for the 6th Akhenaten tournament:

• Any kind of cheating will cost you your head, be fair and have fun.
• The time limit for every fight is 3 minutes.
• The fight leader Goldenflamer has the full power to change any rules before the tournament.
• We are using a KO system.

SPECIAL Prize

A black drake set will be raffled and everyone who watches or attends the 6th Freedom tournament can win it.

Epilogue:

 

Last time we weren't really prepared for so many hours waiting time which we had resulting out of the 80 people who were signed up. But I think we learned out of out mistakes and this time we are really good prepared to skip the waiting time between the different fights.

 

There will be some really amazing features which hasn't been on an event in Wurm Online before.

 

I just can promise if everything is going right we will have an unforgettable night/day at our new Colosseum.

Also just thought I'd mention that 7pm London Time is probably your best bet. Right out on the west coast of the USA that works out as 11am, not a bad time, and for eastern europe 9pm, also not a bad time. A start at that time would satisfy the needs of 80-90% of the playerbase you could move it along 2-3 hours to mean that people from the far east e.g. Australia could join in, but tbh a 10pm start London Time and a 2-3 hour long tournament would start to get too late for most europeans, so it'd be worse opposed to better for the majority.

 

In conclusion: timezones suck... but imo go for 7pm London time. (I say London Time because that's easiest to quote in, since summer timezones mess everything up)

I can confirm the date which will be on the 31st of August around 7pm GMT+0 (Summer Time).

The location is still secret but you can go there by ship easily it is connected to the sea
