Some Nice Recruitments

We have a pretty intense autumn in front of us, coding multi storey buildings and updating a lot of graphics. Therefore I’m very pleased that people step up and volunteer to help out.

Currently we’re something like 3 employees and 4 volunteer Wurmers working on development of the game - me, Emil, Alexander, Zcul, Saroman, Budda and Egal. Wollschaf has started an internship and don’t have much time left to help out. I keep nagging him about a nice water shader he showed me once though. We’re also paying a company to do new models and animations.

Actually we’re 4 employees since Monday when Saroman was employed! He’ll be focusing on doing the multi storey stuff.

Yesterday I also welcomed Saytheb back as part of the client development team, and I sent NDA’s out to Dipse and Darkfilo. If all goes well we’ve grown the dev team 30% in one week!

So what do all these guys specialise in? It is nice to see you expanding the staff but it would be nice to know what it is each one was recruited for and what experience they bring to the game.

Great news!!

And GRATS to Saroman! It's great to hear multi-story buildings are almost here.

We are of course now eager for any news about player character customizations ^_^ Would be nice to know what is projected for 2012, what is expected in 2013, but I know anytime estimates are made people get into a riot when those estimations are not met.

Wonderful news. A hearty congratulations goes out to everyone being brought on-board. New Staff, no matter paid or volunteer, means positive growth. This will be a new leaf for Wurm.

I bring my whit, charm, and guile. Oh, and a good chunk of coding experience :D

I plan to work on the rendering engine and possibly some shaders, but baby steps. Probably looking at some bugs first to get acquainted with the code. Hopefully I can start churning out things soon!

Bug fixes should have been a priority ages ago, hopefully we'll see them working themselves into the game soon.

PS: Saytheb, if you're looking for strange, nasty, age old bugs, you might have a look here. I'm sure other ppl could provide a lot more even. Would you start a mission to hunt & exterminate them, you could easily reach a demi-godly status in the world of Wurm. Like Enki the Awesome. It's up to you.
