keybindings.txt duplicated entries

Every time the client closes, via logging out via F12 or sleeping in a bed, my keybindings.txt is saved to.  It is appended, seemingly, instead of overwritten.  Over time it gets to where it's 5+mb and takes the launcher literally 10minutes to load.  At that point I either delete the file or spend 10-15min deleting all the duplicated entries and re-saving the file.  Afterward, the launcher loads normally and in seconds, not minutes.

 

Can we pretty please with cherries and sprinkles get this long running and known problem fixed?

 

This Example is after me running Wurm 3 times on a fresh install and no old files.

Same here. The settings file gets bloated sometimes right after a fresh copy is started, sonetimes works fine for days.

As a workaround I've saved a copy of my binds file and I simply copy it back when launcher starts slow or my keybinds start not to properly save after logout

However after I close the client and open keybindings.txt, it is not replaced... I have Q bound to pray and improve on 2 lines.

 

I want to note... I was using Windows 10 until it corrupted it's own file  system yesterday, same issues there as here.  This is also happening on my current fresh install of Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

Reading this my first thought was:

I'd make a full backup as long as still possible & look for a replacement disc.

 

I haven't seen file systems issues in Win since ages (provided it's NTFS) that didn't come from a dying disk. In each case the disk broke down a few days to a few weeks later. In at least 1 case several "disk utilities" checked the disc & found it OK - until suddenly the disk stopped doing anything, even spinning up.

 

Remember, your backup is your best friend!

I've had it happen in windows 10 4 times, twice on my old PC, once on this PC, and once on my rack server.    Randomly permissions to my files seem to revert to Trusted Installer, and no matter what steps I'd followed I was not able to delete or cut/move them.  Upon changing the owner to myself, and restarting... I would be the owner yet still had to ask myself permission to delete, and yet was not allowed.

 

In 3 cases, after performing the built-in windows 10 reset feature, the PC was fine afterward.

 

This time, windows 10 performed an update and upon restarting itself, the file system was corrupt.  It would boot to checkdisk and after failing would restart and try again.  Problem is, it was not activiating the keyboard until it already entered check disk (keyboard backlight would not even turn on until seconds after check disk started).  I literally was not able to enter bios, boot manager, or abort.  And we all know how many hours check disk takes on current day hard drives.

 

I have since reformatted, placed windows 7 professional on it, and have not had a single issue.  No graphical issues, no fps drops, no java crashes, no file system errors.

 

My hard drive is less then 4 months old and after doing diagnostics on it within windows 7, I can't find anything saying it's failing.

 

It's windows 10 being a complete piece of garbage,
