Posted March 9, 2017 Nope. Almost all material requirements are too high in comparison to current paving options. Bring them in line with current material requirements and then they would have some allure, other than being too onerous and time consuming to create. =Ayes=
Posted March 9, 2017 Thanks for putting this together Yldrania! These threads are awesome. 1 hour ago, Ayes said: Nope. Almost all material requirements are too high in comparison to current paving options. Bring them in line with current material requirements and then they would have some allure, other than being too onerous and time consuming to create. =Ayes= That's easy enough to fix though. In a lot of suggestion threads, the numbers involved are themselves suggestions. The hard part is Saroman's job of drawing up the graphics. The material requirements just require a number pad and the right variables. That said, paving is actually a fairly important part of the game. Right now, there's a skill requirement to reach for more options. Look at the spiral staircase though, it requires a lot of mats as well compared to other things in game, but the end product is a high end feature. Having higher material requirements adds to the wow factor of certain things. In some cases, they're just accents. A gold floor here and there. Satisfying at the personal level. Other times, it's a whole village getting involved to build the baddest, longest yellow brick road in Wurm's history. Such accomplishments (tunnels, colossi, crazy bridges) are part of what makes Wurm, wurm. Might not be bad to see Paving get the same treatment?

Posted March 11, 2017 well, one have to remember that natural asphalt was used for medieval castle tower top floors... you know, no one like water leaks, so +1 for tar bricks for both floors and paving. The bathroom and concrete ones seems a bit odd for a medieval setting but huge +1 for more variations. My fav in your linked ones are for sure the gold floor because shiny *drool* and the decorative stone slabs (which imho should have been the one added instead of the weird round one). A plain stone slab (rock looking) would be nice as well.. you know for creativity purpose. (also might want to add a link to the wall ones up there... because wurm forum still sucks for search :p)
